Oh sassy that's just awful! What a difficult thing for her to be going through. I hope she gets the treatment she needs quickly and is better soon. That's reminded me I really need to book a smear!

DP and I went to a spa today while MIL had Orlaith and had such lovely relaxing massages. Maybe that's what you need sassy.

DP's sister and her partner have now gone through another round of IVF and had a scan today. I think she's 7+2 and there was a lovely healthy looking baby with a strong heartbeat. I'm so pleased for them and I can't wait for there to be another baby in the family, especially as I don't need to look after this one.

Patito posted on fb that she has no Internet and was in the library emailling mapletrees so she is thinking of us!!

Had a lovely day with dad, brother and the boys today but hugely outnumbered! Still can't believe how much Luke is walking!!! He's so cute, I love him soooo much as if I worried I wouldn't love him as much as ds1 and I have finally got used to his name, yay!

spoke to dp and he has rang his sister. she seems ok. dp said all the things you're supposed to say- like shes young and its likely that they've caught it early enough. he is completely shell shocked.
she has to wait till monday for the results of what stage it is at. ie, if its spread or not and if it has- how far. her boyfriend -her ds's dad is with her and her other brother (dp's younger brother) and his girlfriend, as she doesnt live with mil. mil is a mess. i would be to if it was chloe.

Blimey, what a lot going on - at least it's not all negative. Very sorry to hear things are hard at present, sassy - hugs from me too, and hope things get better very soon. Hopefully they will have caught your SIL's cancer early enough and hopefully the treatment won't be too hard.

Have folks been reading patito's blog? Cook-arlo She linked to it a while ago and I have it open on a tab. It's rather cool and I also like the fact it has Spanish as well as English (her DP writes the Spanish apparently). In case you didn't know, patito means little duck!

Thanks for the birthday wishes. We had a really great day today. Mine and DP's parents both came up. We went out for lunch, then had tea in an outdoor cafe where Louis could play with his new ball on the grass and grab handfuls of gravel (doesn't take much to please him ) before taking him to the swings and trying out his new smartrike (v lucky boy, thanks mum and dad). He was so jolly all day, and even though he doesn't get to see them all that often, he so clearly loves all four of his GPs so much (and they're all smitten too). It's just been brilliant.

Preperations are well under way for grace's christening. Dp is taking her out for the day so I can make stuff for the buffet without her under my feet and I must admit I'm looking forward to a day to myself!
