Ahhhhhh..... feels like aaages since i've posted and this one's gonna take a while as I'm watching The Dragon's Den and DH is working for a company that get funding tonight! Wooohooooooooo Grin

On the subject of next bambinos........ we had a moment the night before the wedding we were at last weekend and then the realization hit in and I started crying and saying "i can't be pregnant again already! What if we have twins?? 3 in buggies? arghhhhhhhhhhh" Sad so that was my mind made up! We'll try in June! Grin Mad dash to a Boots before a wedding in a bridesmaid dress Blush

Sending lots of love to poorly babies and newmum hope you get the benefits you are entitled to. That link chelle sent will be really useful!

Jack is so cheeky nowadays..... he's developed so much personality wise in the last 2-3 weeks. He knows where to find his 'Iggle Piggle' toy when you ask and his toy called 'baby'......... it was my brother's a child but it's real name is Jack so my Mum renamed it! Grin
He plays hide and seek ALL day and constantly seems to have that 'come and get me if you dare' look! love it!

I really have to go and watch the Den........ and NO it's not the six pack man!!!!!! hahahahahha

I'll be back soon xxx

Gosh, lots going on!

beadit my anniversary was today. Didn't do anything special as we are off to Cornwall (again) tomorrow and have booked tickets to see one of my favourite theatre companies called kneehigh while we are there. Very excited. Congrats on your anniversary and hope u did something more exciting than stripping walks ready for painting.

Talking of Cornwall, anyone ever been camping with a 10 month old??? It's gona be one to remember methinks!!! I'm a little scared he won't sleep well in the tent as it will be light when he goes to bed! We shall see. I'm gona keep my fingers crossed that it won't be too stressful.

We have decided to decorate Harltns room with a nautical theme due to him being named after a beach. Hoping to get some nice pics of him on Harlyn Bay to hang on the wall.

I get lovely kisses too. Though he did try to bite my lip today and has been known to stick his tongue out too! Bless. He's another who grabs his favourie iggle piggle and maka paka (spelling) toys when u ask for them. He did something that amazed me the other day! I was holding him and said where's mommy's eyes and he pointed (poked) my eye! He then did the same with my nose and mouth. He couldn't do it to his own but knew where mind where when asked! It's amazing what they pick up. He is totally obsessed with turning the light switches on and off, he finds it facinating. Gosh, camping is going to be fun!!!

Sorry for monster post and I really hope the poorly babies are feeling better today.

JodeyBogeyPicker · 07/08/2011 23:00

Sorry forr typos!!! Bloody iPhones, no good if you're trying to post a big response! Ggrrrrr.

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2011 06:10

I'm a bit slow sorry beaditAli but I take it you were not pregnant just thought you might be?

One of my minded children goes camping very years as has done since she was 1 and a couple of weeks. Her mum had some kind of pop up cot for her. She was so busy during the day exploring that she was knackered at night and slept no probs. Wouldn't do it myself as I really don't like tents but I'm sure Harlyn will be fine!!

Really no idea why Luke now sleeps until 7.15 every day except the odd one where he's awake crying at silly times. Only 5.30 today but he's just fallen asleep on me for the third time and every time I put him back in his cot he wakes up and starts again :(

Had such a nice weekend, party was great spent afternoon doing chores until dh got home then we had some time mucking about all together and then went for a meal on our own. My dad was here yesterday and it was lovely to see him with the boys and he said it was really nice to hear ds1 call him grandad as my stepdad is also grandad and we see him a lot more because they live just down tw road and my dad tends to step back from everything at family get togethers as they're at my mums and he's just a guest.

newmum001 · 08/08/2011 07:39

Cinnamon that must have been amazing for your dad!

Beadit, glad you got the result you wanted with the test!

Jodey camping with a baby scares the hell out of me but I know loads of people who have done it and it's been fine!

My friend had a baby girl yesterday, they'd been trying to induce her since last wednesday and it wasn't working so she ended up having a c-section!

Grace seems to be feeling better although she does seem to be off her food a bit but other than that her mood seems to be much better, gonna keep up with the calpol today then try her without it tomorrow and see how we get on!

Chelle I hope olly's feeling better!

Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhh just lost my post and forgot to copy. Pressed the back button but it's gone forever. Angry

Anyway, I'm really impressed with all these clever babies, I can't believe Harlyn knows all those facial features. I've tried to teach Orlaith but she just grabs my face and stick her fingers in my mouth or up my nose! Hmm

My sister and I are going up to Liverpool on thursday to find her a place to live and sort my niece's nursery for september when she goes back to university. She'll be gone for 8 months and we're really going to miss them. It's been lovely being together this year with the girls. Sad

newmum001 · 08/08/2011 12:17

Saoirse I was looking at your pics on facebook yesterday funnily enough and thinking how lovely it is that you and your sister (are you twins) both have girls and how close in age they are! They'll grow up to be so close! I'm a twin and have loved having a ready made best friend who was exactly the same age as me! Makes me want to have twins, even though my mum never tires of telling me how hard it was and she didn't sleep till we were 2 Grin I can't wait for my sister to have babies but she is very much still living the party life (I'm only a little bit jealous honest)

Out of curiosity has anyone seen the post in AIBU about the woman that left her 4 month old triplets on their own in the house whilst she went for an hours run every night? I am utterly gobsmacked with the amount of people who are justifying her actions and agreeing that she needed that time to herself!

saoirse86 · 08/08/2011 21:33

Yes we are twins and just seem to end up doing things together - like having babies! Confused

That is crazy! I can understand it must be really hard to look after triplets but to leave them on their own for an hour every night?! Shock

saoirse86 · 08/08/2011 21:45

I just read parts of that thread and I can't believe so many people are also straight away saying the dad is a wanker for leaving her (he may well be a waker but there are plenty of reasons couples split up and they shouldn't stay together just because they have children), also saying about how the babies must be screaming all the time (not necessarily, just presumptions) and that she had no help (again how do they know, just more presumptions). There are so many MNers who annoy me for jumping to conclusions about things! Angry

saoirse86 · 08/08/2011 22:23

I was just looking at reports of the violence in Birmingham. How on earth is this supposed to help anyone?! Angry Sad

MammyG · 08/08/2011 23:36

Hello Everyone!
How are ye? Have briefly read back and its amazing all thats going on. Hope ye can forgive me for the absenteeism! Its been a bit of a rollercoaster here. Summer flying by. Way too much to bother going over. Phoebe is doing really well - she is so big and just so lovely. Everyday she runs away with just another chunk of my heart! She is giggly and really funny. She makes woo-woof sounds every time she sees the dog. Has a special smile just for her daddy, can demand to be picked up and has learned to blow kisses! She can tell you where her belly is and her nose! She is not crawling but up on all fours and bouncing. She eats absolutely everything and started getting really noisy about two weeks ago. I think she has realised she has to be vocal to keep up with the dynamic duo. Who by the way have burst out of them selves this summer - so much energy I really should be about a stone lighter with all the running around!
Cant believe its nearly a year!! Good God. Why is it the more time we need the faster it flies by! Im back to work at the end of the month and tho I got the position I wanted (yay me!) Im dreading all the juggling etc! And of course sending Phoebe to creche.
Ok sorry for long winded spiel....Hope all the ill wee ones are feeling better.
x

sassy34264 · 09/08/2011 09:42

hi everyone. sorry for being absent. i went over my internet allowance again! its supposed to be £20 a month but i think i doubled it. can see big argument looming with dp when he notices.
anyway, quick update- dp got back thurs 28th july. he has been here ever since. he has 2 weeks off, 1 week at work and then 2 weeks off. its sooooooo much easier with him here. he has seen his nan, she cant talk and doesnt know who he is, but she is still with us.
the builders have at last finished, so we are just painting now. chloes loft conversion just needs a carpet now and then she can move in and babies can go in their own room.
went to hospital for gtt test......again yesterday. and had most thorough check up ive ever had. they were concerned about my breathing, symptoms of infection(s) iron count etc. get all the results this wed.baby is a wriggler like isobel. but its a bruiser. boy can it kick. im bruised on the inside. it can literally make me jump in the air. jacob and isobel never kicked like this.

sassy34264 · 09/08/2011 09:47

had to post then, as j &i have decided ive had enough mummy time and have decided to climb all over me! bejust my luck to lose it all.
isobel took to dp straight away and even waved at him before going to him. she adores him, she is a proper daddys girl. jacob mostly just wants me. he goes mad if anyone but me puts him to bed. we both have to make an effort to not always give them their way, ie lee always has/dresses/carries isobel and the same with me and jacob.
sorry to hear of all the poorly babies. hope they feel better soon. x

sassy34264 · 09/08/2011 09:58

im literally Shock with mouth open at stupid woman who leaves her triplets alone for an hour while she runs. cant believe anyone would defend that. i always remember seeing on the news a woman who lived with her 3 kids in a bedsit and left them alone while she went out on a night out. they werent really young, ie 4/5/6 ish so they could walk, so she locked the door so they couldnt get out. didnt help them at all when the room set fire. all of them died. stupid bitch. makes me so mad.

I honestly can't understand the people who seem to be taking her side saying better that than harming them etc, I can honestly understand the need for a breath of fresh air and a few minutes to calm down, I sometimes stand in the back garden for a couple of minutes if im stressed (although not much these days as grace just stands on the other side of the door banging :)) but to go out for an hour is just totally unnacceptable! One baby or 10 you have a responsibility to be there for your children or to get help if you can't cope! it's gonna haunt me for a while that post I think!

Sassy glad your dp is home and he's had the chance to see his nan. It sounds like your baby is going to be like grace, from the first kick she never stopped and she was very very strong! Brace yourself she's a bloody handful!

Debs75 · 09/08/2011 14:37

Welcomer back MammyG and Sassy nice to see you haven't forgotten usGrin

Lucy has alost mastered the crawl. She pushes herself on to hands and feet then slumps forward and starts all over again.

Haven't read the running thread but can't believe how selfish she is being. If they are 4 why can't she go when they are at school or ask someone else to lookafter them for an hour? I have had moments when I need some time away from my 4 but that is why there is a lock on my bathroom door and a pile of books inside.

newmum001 · 09/08/2011 14:54

They are 4 months old Deb, she struggles putting them to bed at night so she feeds them then puts them in their cot and goes running while they cry themselves to sleep. Utterly horrible!

Well done Lucy on nearly crawling!

I hope you find somewhere lovely for your sister saoirse86 and then you can go and stay with her! Liverpool is lovely, I started a degree there and could quite happily have stayed if other things had been right.

So good to hear from you MammyG and great that you are having a lovely summer and that you got the job you wanted. Has your dh done is mammoth bike ride yet? Is one of your boys starting school in September too?

Glad your dp got back safely sassy34264 and that he has seen his Nan. Fingers crossed for all of your tests, I guess it will be easier to go for a vbac if all of those things are just right.

Go Lucy! Luke has started pushing cars but when he falls forward onto hands and knees he just stops and pushes himself back to his bum and carries on bumshuffling so I can't see any crawling happening here!

I also haven't read the thread but imo it is never ok to go and leave any child in a house for an hour. I used to cm 2 girls and I knew that their dad left for work at 5.30am and mum didn't get in until 6.30am and I really struggled with what to do. Dh told me it was none of my business but if anything had happened to them I would have felt so guilty! The youngest was 18 months and in a cot and her sister was 6 but not really old enough to get her sister out if there had been an emergency :(

Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary and I am going out without dh Blush. It's a meal for preschool committee members to say thank you for all our hard work and when they planned it I said I couldn't go but dh insisted I went as we usually go out for our anniversary the weekend closest anyway. The boys are supposed to be having a sleepover at my mums next Friday but I am not really comfortable about Luke sleeping there and I want to go and get him on the way home, cue dh telling me how stupid I am and that my mum knows what she's doing as she managed to bring me up! I will end up worrying about it him if I leave but I know he'll be fine and I'm just being silly :(

SeaChelles · 09/08/2011 16:11

Saoirse - you should bring Oralith and Imara to meet Olly on your way to Liverpool - we are only 10 mins away! Grin
