Poor Grace, hope she's feeling better soon!

I have never enountered croup SeaChelles so no advice here I'm afraid, google it, that's what I usually do!!

JodeyBogeyPicker · 03/08/2011 18:48

Oh no, poorly babies Sad. I hope they feel better soon. Harlyn has a major runny nose and a bit of a cough but nothing major.

JodeyBogeyPicker · 03/08/2011 18:50

Using major twice in the same sentence anc totally contradicting myself is not good at all! I meant he has a really runny nose but it's nothing major! Smile

I think I'm going to have to go back to the drs tomorrow. When the dr was checking grace today she asked me if she had any spots and I said she'd had a couple of random ones but assumed they were heat lumps so she took her vest off and noticed a couple of small patches of spots and said it was all to do with the virus. However in the last hour loads have appeared on her tummy and back. I've done the glass test (probably over reacting but it scared me a bit) and they dissappeared and she has seemed a bit happier today but if the spots are still there in the morning I'm going to make another appointment!

Ds1 had a viral rash a year ago that comes back every time he has a cold, I assume he just hasn't got rid of it and when his immune system is compranised it can't fight it any longer. I don't worry anymore but always have to explain to school!!

newmum001 · 03/08/2011 19:45

It just sprouted up out of nowhere I couldn't believe it. I feel like I'm coming down with something myself. My chest is very tight and my inhaler has ran out :(

saoirse86 · 03/08/2011 20:55

Oh dear newmum I hope it's nothing serious and you'e both feeling better soon. Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 04/08/2011 07:56

Also could be chicken pox newmum001, a lot of the boys spots didn't have blisters when they first came up. Fingers crossed you had a good night and the spots have calmed down. I always do the glass test with every rash so dont feel paranoid, meningitis can be devastating!

Luke was up at 4.30 really crying, no idea what was up but perhaps he was cold as it was raining and the breeze coming in his window was a bit chilly. A drink, some ibuprofen just in case and a lots of cuddle later he went back to sleep and is now wreaking havoc in the cupboard in his room! Currently trying to eat a cotton wool ball, better go!

Debs75 · 04/08/2011 09:28

Oh no more poorly babies. Hope they get better soon.

Dixie NO NO NO more babies for us. 4 is definitely enough and the short gap between 3 and 4 really floored me for about 5-6 months. Then again I am 35 so maybe I am just too old now. Secretly though I would love another boy but I want to go back to Uni and work so have the implant in and we will stay at 4 little monsters.

Went to Bridlington beach yesterday and had a lovely time. Lucy liked the sand and ds and dd2 went wild building sandcastles, burying their dad and jumping waves. We were all shattered when we got home and Lucy is still asleep.

newmum001 · 04/08/2011 09:50

Well she's got far less spots today than yesterday and seems ok so don't think a trip to the drs is neccessary. Had a much better night last night too. She was in bed for 7, little wake up at 12.30 then slept till 7!

Cinnamon, grace ate a cotton bud the other day. She opens her mouth now when I say show mummy but she was very protective of the cotton bud and wouldn't let me get it out. She's a funny girl, won't eat lumpy food but will quite hapily eat a cotton bud!

dixie I'm still trying to build myself up to the idea of a DC2.. In my mind I'd like quite a small gap like I have with my DSis, but I feel so far from ready..

Glad that Grace seems to be getting better newmum. chelle how is Olly doing today?

Seeing as I can't share photos with you all on facebook, thought I would post instead Grin...

cinnamongreyhound · 04/08/2011 21:10

Mapletrees he was very cute crawling to the camera, am a bit jealous now that Lucy just flops on the floor

cinnamongreyhound · 05/08/2011 22:30

Had a lovely day today, only had one minded little boy and we all went to west stow (anglosaxon village) where they had a fun day. The kids played at the park, with the toys they provided, swept the grass for insects, pond dipping, story telling and making things. We had a picnic and were there 5 hours in total. We met my friend and her 2 and the kids played so nicely was lovely enjoying the sun in relative peace! Both my boys ate so much tonight and wet straight to sleep must have worn them out. Poor Luke got stung by a wasp on the way home :(. He started crying for what appeared to be no reason and when we got home ds1 had a wasp on his finger, I killed got rid of it and when we got in I noticed Luke's ear was red. It got redder and swelled and there was a red dot on it. Poor little thing but it had mostly gone down by bedtime. Off to a birthday party early tomorrow, I love parties!!!

Hope you're ok sassy34264, you've been quiet recently.

newmum001 · 06/08/2011 07:45

That sounds lovely cinnamon! Hope luke isn't affected by the sting. I was wondering about sassy too, hope her dp is home he was trying to get a flight wasn't he?

mapletrees · 06/08/2011 11:13

Thanks cinnamon and Debs Grin I am loving his crawling despite how he gravitates to and tries to eat everything I don't want him to [rolls eyes].

sassy has been quiet... and also frigg hasn't posted for ages...

mapletrees · 06/08/2011 11:18

Oh, glad you had a good day at West Stow cinnamon. Hope Luke is over the sting. I trod on a wasp the other day, and it hurt like hell for a bit, but was better pretty quickly (though my toe was red and swollen for a couple of days).

SeaChelles · 06/08/2011 12:14

Hi all,

Maple, he is lovely. Cinammon hope Luke is getting over his sting. Newmum hope Grace is feeling a little better. It is croup that Olly has got, so he isn't right at all, although he is getting better everyday.

Was my birthday yesterday and he stayed at my mums for the night and was very well behaved. We went out for a meal with friends and for a few drinks afterwards. I got money from my mum, a lovely necklace from my friend, and from Lee I got half a million bathbombs and the "Game of Thrones" book series and a voucher for a massage. Very spoilt Seachelles.

Although I did get the first period I have had for 10 months yesterday morning Angry so spent a lot of the day feeling sick!

Oliver said Kisses yesterday.....I said "give mummy some kisses please" and he went "sis-iss" and laid a big smackeroonie on me..... hehe.

Debs75 · 06/08/2011 15:18

Chelles I loved Game of Thrones, totally my kind of tv, medieval, kings, killings and a bit of incest. I read the first chapter of the first book and it gave me the willies but the series was much better. Loved Sean Bean and the delthracky(sp) leader.

Lucy has another tooth, a top one so she can now bite if she wants

bananacurry · 06/08/2011 19:24

Warning, monster post ahead!!

Saoirse If only more people were as selfless as your mum!

Newmum Hope Grace is feeling better!

Chelle Bit late but steam is good for croup. We ended up in hospital with toby when he was 8 months cos of it & he now gets it everytime he has a cold. Happy Birthday for yesterday! Sorry, I've been away! xx

Well, we've had a great few days. We've been to Scarborough with my mum. It started off a bit rough because I was ill. Possibly the most embarrassing time of my life. I had a bug so we packed up and left the beach. Its a 20 min walk to the flat & I was just waiting to cross the road right outside the flat, A busy busy t junction with traffic lights so lots of stationary traffic & i was sick. very, very, very sick! What people must have thought! We spent the rest of the time on the beach & going on rides. The weather was gorgeous! We took the boys to Ask in the evening & they were so good. I was so proud of them.

Olly has started clicking his tongue when you ask him what a horse says & he's definately understanding more. He sits down when you tell him to & spits out whatevers in his mouth when you tell him to! He says Daadeee really clearly & is just brilliant! He's feeding himself anything and everything & eating loads. The only problem is that he's been waking at 4.30am!! wed, thurs, fri & this morning! I'm praying its just a change of routine, bed & the ridiculously load seagulls!

cinnamongreyhound · 07/08/2011 12:13

Luke is exactly the same mapletrees with everything in his mouth drives me mad!!

Sorry Oliver has been poorly SeaChelles and fingers crossed he is feeling better soon. Glad you had a nice birthday and very Envy that you've had so long without a period! I got mine when both boys were 17weeks even though I was fully bf :(. I get kisses if I say give mummy kiss but no talking, very cute for you though!

Glad you had a good time bananacurry and sorry you were poorly :(. Hoping Olly wakes up later once you're home and settled. Luke understands a lot but isn't saying anything distinguishable so far.
