Sorry!

reastie surgery do a Monday clinic but said I have to be within 1st 5 days of cycle to have it done. Great if that fits in with my cycle but what if I get AF back on a Tuesday???? They said it's easier to fit when mid cycle - god who would want that job?! Thanks for the info though, in the mean time gp said excl bfing would be sufficient contraception. I laughed.

ponyo sorry for the sleep troubles. All I can say is persevere with the pick up put down. It might take a day or two but once they realize it's your way or the highway, they get on with it. M wanted to be fed to sleep all the time which led to constant snacking (him not me) (ok me too but that's not for here) so I had to deal with it head on and just resist the urge to give in for a quiet life. They get these funny little moods, but my mantra is "I am the boss, I am in control, I am the boss" etc - hth

Am so glad Natasha went from The App. Should have gone weeks ago.

O God, night from HELL here, I am so shattered. Will also post in sleep. Went down ok ish after a bit of titting about not taking a feed, then woke up at 10.15, just after i'd gone to bed- not hungry, not sleepy, just bloody awake. Didn't know what to do with her, ended up giving some calpol and watching telly till about 11.30. She went down after a feed at 12, fed again at 4, woke at 5, settled after a bit of a suck, up for the day at 6.20. What the bloody hell??????????

reastie how about you baKe her a cake or some pretty cupcakes? Grin at poundland vouchers!

ponyo yes just keep persevering, hopefully its a blip...

40Weeks · 14/07/2011 07:09

Oh god deb I was about to post about how M had a good night last night but I won't now, feels mean. It's heartbreaking when all you want is to sleep and all they want to do, as you say, is tit about.

I comfort myself with the thought that one day I will get up early and hoover their bedroom while they suffer a hangover

OP posts:
reastie · 14/07/2011 07:53

deb poor you. have you got much on today or can you take it easy? i did think about a cake but a. I don't have time to make one before going out and b. if im honest if a relative stranger made me a cake i'd be a bit Hmm about eating it incase they poisoned it or had a really dirty house (obv I don't!)

40 forgot to say if you can get dh to drive you home after coil then do - i could have if i needed to but i was a bit wobbly on my feet afterwards (although this could have been nerves). i was told the cycle thing was also so they know you defo won't be pg - so they might make you take a pg test Shock Wink

ponyo cam't help with day sleep screaming afraid as we often have this trouble, mainly all blinking evening Shock . she's not over tired is she? tbh if i know alice is fed and changed and definately tired but fighting it i just leave her for 5 mins to sort herself out. if that doesn't work i take her out for a walk in the hope that works. not exactly great advice though!

americanexpat · 14/07/2011 10:47

debka - very similar night here, up 6 times between 11 and 5.45. Twas absolutely ridiculous. I did everything I could yesterday - late nap, walk in the sunshine before bed, filling him up - and it was the worst night in weeks. DH could tell I was a woman on the edge this morning and managed to get him back to sleep in his cot (!) where he/we slept another 2 hours (obv I wasn't in the cot!).

Ponyo - no advice, sorry. Sad L cried for over an hour before his morning nap Tuesday and Wednesday, full-on red faced screaming. No idea what his problem was but he does it now and again. I just keep picking him up, calming him, offering a feed, putting him back down, and about the 5th time, he decides he's absolutely starving and eats like he hasn't eaten in days. Hmm THEN he'll have a nap.

He's 5 months tomorrow and I thought he'd be past this nonsense by now...

janedoe25 · 14/07/2011 12:50

debka and american boo for your horrible night! I hope the babies give you both an easy day.

Not much to do here today, cleaned the house done washings etc and now im mega bored! Df is home later though Grin However it is thursday and that means only one thing - dinner with fil Angry ah well just need to brave it i supose.

hope everyone is having a good day Grin

wigglesrock · 14/07/2011 14:18

Well we had a bad night here too Shock, Olivia woke up at 3am, complaining of a sore tummy and couldn't get back to sleep, Mr W went to sleep in her bed, and she came up to us and tossed and turned all night. Olivia has complained of a sore tummy on and off for about a week, but to be honest I was a bit "oh you are alright, walk it off" Grin, no temp, no d & v. I rang the Doctors this morning and got an appt for both Olivia and Sofia, Sofia had piped up her tummy was sore too Hmm

Went to GP, who thinks they both have a virus, Olivia is as right as rain, but Sofia is worse, swollen glands, higher temp - wasn't even going to bring her to Doctor Blush So now feel like crappy mum and what's worse is that Sofia can smell guilt on me and I've already been stung for McDonalds (she's not that bloody ill), and magazines Grin

jane as my granny would say "offer it up for the holy souls" Grin

ponyo naps can be very hit and miss in this house, hope today was better.

debka How's Sabines cough?

americanexpat I can't believe Anna will be 5 months tomorrow Shock

40Weeks · 14/07/2011 14:38

Oh no wiggles poor you, hope it's short lived. What a rubbish night for you all. Very quiet on here today, do the others know something we don't ?? Confused

reastie am giving you a run for your money in the online purchase stakes , have just had a spend up on the Next sale Grin

hi Jane hope you aren't too bored still

OP posts:
wigglesrock · 14/07/2011 14:41

Oooh 40 are you a VIP? Grin

reastie · 14/07/2011 14:43

hello,

mn been going mental on me today Hmm

well, feel Angry as workmen turned up 3/4 hr early to fix the leaking shower. I know I shouldn't complain they are early but I had timed it all so workmen and sainsburys delivery was at the same time so I could feed alice without interuptions (don't fancy the workmen getting an eyeful of boob or spurting milk over unsuspecting sainsburys man Wink ). plans now scuppered. know fellow organisation fiend delia will sympathise.

jane we went to bounce and rhyme at the library this morning Hmm . tbh ( Blush ) I found it a bit boring, but don't tell anyone Wink . btw do you want to come and finish cleaning my house for me? Grin

Well bad night here but nothing to do with alice (other than her usual evening naughties). I had a nightmare and woke up at 4am in a cold sweat and couldn't get back to sleep again Shock

wiggles hope the girls are better soon. My mum always used to rate how bad my illnesses were on whether I would eat chocolate or not Grin

am slowly sorting through and washing the free clothes - so far spotted some lovely bits inclusing monsoon wooly jumper, hilfiger shorts and vest, some pjs from the white company and tons more I forget Grin

reastie · 14/07/2011 14:44

40 there's a next sale?

reastie · 14/07/2011 15:11

is there anyone on here that dyes their hair due to greyness? just wondering how quickly your hair went grey? i've been getting the ocassional one for years but now getting more and more and i swear i've got a cluster of obvious ones that wern't there last week. not yet - i'm too young to go grey Shock

janedoe25 · 14/07/2011 15:38

wiggles hope the girls feel better soon.

reastie if you dont mind i think i will pass up on the offer to clean your house Wink
I share your horror of grey hairs, i have found loads over the past few weeks! Im not even 30 yet for gods sake! I will be going for a dye job at hair dressers when i can afford it. Shock

byronicheroine · 14/07/2011 15:48

Sorry about your girls wiggles hope everyones better soon. Don't worry about feeling bad- a bit of spoiling and it'll all be forgotten.
reastie if she's that posh I'd go with nice chocs, anything that'd really impress her will be £££ and so not worth it iykwim? I think she should will appreciate the gesture. Well done tho, what fun!
We are having a paperwork nightmare here, shouldn't be a suprise really but I ended up in tears ths afternoon. Basically it's just really frustrating. Trying to get K a passport should not be this hard! We should have gone for a uk one, we will eventually but don't have time now :( also we were "advised" to get a Greek one as they prefer him to travel in and out of greece on a Greek passport since he has been "acknowledged" by DP. Therein being the main problem- the P bit - we aren't married! People keep querying it and shouting across crowded offices "AND they're not married!!!". It all makes me feel a bit Hmm but we've fnally resolved it by DP's dad coming at the weekend, being given power of attorney, drivng down to where we have to register K, even tho he's never been there, and doing all the paperwork in person. Still with me?
Hope you've recovered led !
No more talk of another one, please, don't think I could cope with the bureauocracy!

40Weeks · 14/07/2011 16:04

Oh yes wiggles I am very la de da. Got right hacked off with it though as my session timed out and so I didnt get the half price crocs for Owen and had to search for everything again. Then he told me he didn't like me so fair's fair.

Byronic what a nightmare for you, it's just a bloody passport! Aaargghhh on your behalf.

reastie and Jane yes I dye my hair to cover grey. Don't have much but it's right at the front, had it since I was about 19 - most disturbing

Tarlia · 14/07/2011 16:22

Sorry to hear there have been some awful nights sleep. I hope you've both had a large slice of cake and coffee, you deserve it.

There is a lady on pregnancy with a 5 month old who is pregnant..

restie I agree in a chocolaty gesture rather than money. Hope you are having fun sorting.

40 how are the two little ones and their pox?

Byron you Poor thing :( We have been putting off the British citizenship application, it seems like such a faff. I hope you get that Greek passport soon. How long has it been taking?

wiggles hope the girls are ok. I'm sure they areloving the mags and McDs.

Jane you can come and clean here too. I'll pay in cupcakes...?

janedoe25 · 14/07/2011 16:40
reastie · 14/07/2011 16:46

jane was going to ask you to scan the invite so we could see but then thought you might not wanting to know al the details incase we turn up (not that we would quick cancel the taxi Wink ). have you tried ebay? they sell everything Grin

shower man gone and left a massive mark/dent accross our posh mahogany loo seat Shock . dh having none of it Hmm

byron what a pickle

40Weeks · 14/07/2011 17:23

Thanks tarlia they are on the mend and we should be out of quarantine by the weekend! I'll clean for cupcakes!!!!

OP posts:
Tarlia · 14/07/2011 17:40

Jane photo of invites please? Use paint to black out details, so you know we won't turn up in our hats and party frocks. If you bring irn bru I may be tempted to try a new recipe..

40 glad to hear the spots are crusting. Pack your raincoat it's wet over here!

restie eekkk, you are really very unlucky with workmen. Who are you getting your recommendations from?

Soup again for dinner tonight . I've been crazy brave and skipped some doses of pain relief today- hate swallowing pills.

ILovePonyo · 14/07/2011 18:14

Thanks for nap help people, think catching her early enough night be the key - managed to get her to nap in cot this morning but then sleep on me this afternoon. Think I panicked a bit yest as she wouldn't settle on her own all day Blush

dd is 5 months today Grin

tarlia hope you aren't suffering too much today.

wiggles hope the girls feel better soon. Me and my sis used to have braces (top and bottom teeth) and each month after we'd been and had them tightened (quite painful) my dad would buy us a macdonalds as he knew the pain couldn't be that bad if we could eat it. We always could btw Grin

reastie I found a grey hair in my fringe the other day Shock picked it right out. I kind of want to dye my hair as I havn't dyed it for over a year now, but like the fact I am au naturel and my naturel hair colour isn't as mousey as I thought it was.

Sorry jane no idea for rsvp cards, but if you do fancy sharing the invites I wouldn't mind having a nosy...

byron wow at your paperwork nightmare, what a big stress. I can't believe people shout that you're not married across the room Hmm

dd being v grumpy so better go, she's tired but not bedtime yet

40Weeks · 14/07/2011 18:26

Jane invites sound ever so cool. Have you tired Hobbicraft?

OP posts:
janedoe25 · 14/07/2011 18:30

Im heading there tomorrow 40

Yay fil is ill so no need to see him! Grin

I shall try to get the invite pic uploaded later for all you nosey buggers who are interested. Grin

wigglesrock · 14/07/2011 19:09

jane I know - what are they like? Grin Done the photo yet?

byronicheroine huge sympathies re the paperwork. My mum still has traumatic flashbacks to when we left Africa to come back here. My sister was born over there, but there was no birth certificate issued. This was over 30 years ago and it was a bloody nightmare for her. All I can say is the priest got involved, money changed hands, wink, wink, nudge, nudge Grin

reastie I have to get my hair dyed every 4-5 weeks by my hairdresser or I'd look like a badger!! I first noticed mine when I was practising my "wedding hair", - I was 24!!!! Ponyo don't pull them out - it makes them worse Grin
