ledkr and emski pics should work now Grin.
night night all.

wigglesrock · 26/07/2011 22:38

ledkr glad you're back and even gladder you had a great time Grin

debka love the new pic, Sabine looks so big!

Right time for bed, loved the film, see you tomorrow.

ledkr · 26/07/2011 22:42

glad you're gladder wiggs x

debka · 27/07/2011 07:01

It's a small box, wiggles- she's only 12.something!

Welcome back ledkr, good luck with the BLW. Just give her easy to grab chunks of food, eg penne pasta, fruit, cheese, toast soldiers, cooked veg cut into chip sized pieces. Just avoid salt and sugar so no quavers, jaffa cakes or prawn crackers Grin I'd do it with S but she choked about 10x on a tiny mouthful of biscuit!

Fingers crossed my moby wrap will arrive today!!!

Emski76 · 27/07/2011 08:18

Love the pics Puss and Deb. Hey Ledkr, go for blw, I would do it but like S, Noah chokes on biscuits etc!
Another gorgeous day here, yippee!

ledkr · 27/07/2011 08:40

Guys you are not exactly filling me with confidence,Im so scared of Dilly choking but nurse says no more likely than a non cleft baby. Thats the reason for the thus far limited diet of melt in the mouth quavers etc.any thoughts on melty but slightly healthier snacks welcome.
The moby wrap does look comfy deb,im quite tempted but i always like to have the pram too for sleeps. I use my bright sparks around the house or to school but its fleecy so too hot at the moment.

debka · 27/07/2011 09:00

Imy never choked, she was eating bread and all sorts from 5.5mo, and when I say S chokes she just gags a lot!

PussInConverse · 27/07/2011 09:01

I just found this weaning guide
I've been giving J baby rice and fruit puree for breakfast, and veg puree for tea. Will introduce finger foods and lunch next week, although I have no idea how much to give - hope this chart helps! She did have some banana yesterday - loved it!

wigglesrock · 27/07/2011 09:35

Right just so I have this clear in my head - I'm giving A baby porridge and some toast crusts for breakfast, fruit puree for lunch and some veg/jar concoction for dinner, she is also having a fromage frais the odd day as a snack and am letting her have things in her hand to taste if I think she can manage them- is this a mixture of spoon and blw?

ledkr One of Sofias' favourite things are prawn crackers or white crisps as she call them.

puss A has loved most fruits I've tried her with but funny enough is a bit meh about bananas.

My mum has S&O this morning - Wednesday is Nana day Grin Her and her granny mafia are taking their "kids" to the park for the day so tired girls tonight Grin We have finally organised (fingers crossed) what we are doing re bedrooms for the girls. Anna is going into Olivias' room and the girls are sharing a bigger room. Am really looking forward to getting Annas room organised, she has lots of bits and pieces she got for christening presents lying somewhere else so want to get her teddies etc in a room.

Unfortunately Sofias bunkbeds are going to have to be moved upstairs Hmm, Mr W is now regretting taking these days off sick - that'll teach him to skive!!

ledkr · 27/07/2011 10:55

thanks puss that is helpfull,i love the "why not try some hip fruit purees etc" not that we are advertising at all Grin
Dilly slept 8 till 7.30 wow! I think she was catching up on all the late night partying she did on hols.
puss-nice pics, all the babies look so similar to Dilly.
wiggs I laughed at white crisps,we have funny names for things going back to the boys childhood. Red sauce-ketchup, plarea-play area, dodo-muslin and Kyle is still known as Kykee, Ella used to refer to her brothers as brother Ryan or brother Derri as if they were monks haha

wigglesrock · 27/07/2011 11:17

ledkr well done Dilly Grin, we call ketchup red sauce here as a matter of fact, you are very posh to use ketchup. 2 types of sauce- red and brown Grin. Anna loves the Hipp fruit purees!!

Roasting here but rain is coming in this afternoon - thats more like the weather we are used to!

janedoe25 · 27/07/2011 11:26

Morning all, another glorious day here, i have my 3yr old nephew today so we are off to the park and to feed the ducks.

DF and I call cardigans cardigardens - thanks to an old mindee of mine!

Hope you all have a fab day.

Oh Yay to dilly giving mama ledkr a long lie!

MizK · 27/07/2011 11:32

Morning all, sounds like weaning is in full flow now.... being a cheap skate I borrowed ms karmels book from the library - judging by all the branded goodies she sells in the baby section I dont think she'll miss my money (jammy dodger.....)
Good idea to put mr W to work wiggles - that's what sick days are for....
ledkr I remember Goodies organic wotsit style things being good also grated cheese, I don't do BLW but will be trying Cassia on finger foods v soon. Think I'm going to move her on to follow on milk soon too, wow they are all growing up (sniff!)
Anyone elses babba starting to reduce milk? Cass used to have tons but shes not as fussed now and is also bringing a lot of each feed back up which is delightful. I don't think I can do much about it tho, the only feeds she likes are the bedtime and the middle of the night feed (grrrr!)
Oh btw exciting news, we have a corner of a tooth! Explains the hideous whinging of the past few weeks, she's still suffering tho cause its only the tiniest edge of tooth but its there all the same!
Hello to everyone else, and love to all the babies!

PussInConverse · 27/07/2011 11:40

cardigardens is my new favourite word! thanks jane. And it's red sauce in our house too : )

that hipp thing is a bit heavy on the promotions, isn't it?!

Saw hv today - she said to go for full on weaning now, and just give J what we have. Got v excited, but she's now fast asleep. Going to go for hipp fruit puree (see, they brainwashed me) on toast.

deb has your wrap arrived? and yes, the book is a bit fancy pants - just wait til I get my Sophie la Giraffe and I'll be a full on smuggy mummy Wink. I bet I try one recipe before heading back to jars!

I'm glad there are no rat or pigeon stories today. They both make me boak!

debka · 27/07/2011 11:46

ooo ooo ooo yes wrap here, very exciting! Baby asleep however so I've been wandering about with a large teddy strapped to my front Grin, good job we're not overlooked!

V jealous of wiggles and jane with good weather, enjoy it girls :)

jane are you approaching The Window again soon?

Oops got to go, DON'T TALK TOO MUCH OR I'LL GET BEHIND! Back in a bit.

debka · 27/07/2011 11:51

mizk congrats on tooth, and yes, I think S may be reducing the milk a bit, but she's bf so I'm not 100%. Her poos certainly look like she is. She's taking to weaning with a vengeance, I'm wondering if she'll suddenly start shooting up?

puss a friend of a friend was told by HV to feed the baby what they ate- but all they ate was ready meals and McD's and the baby DIED of salt poisoning Shock Sad

Not that I'm suggesting you eat crap, just made me remember and go Shock again.

ledkr glad you got a lie in Envy. Along lines of family words- anyone's bigger kids make up words? Imy has one- Meesee- it means move out the way, eg meesee leg, meesee mummy!

wigglesrock · 27/07/2011 11:55

MizK I have moved Anna onto follow on milk. I didn't bother doing it with the others but I will put my head up above the parapet and say I moved to stage 2 because it is so much cheaper and I can get points on it. Anna moved onto it with no bother at all, also on fast flow Boots teats and bottles - see those points keep mounting up Grin. Anna is also not as bothered about some of her daytime feeds like Cassia still loving the 2am one Grin

Oh Sofia couldn't say breakfast, said brekswick instead, also couldn't say practise used to say prakswick, she only could the hang of them a couple of months ago, obstacle course still causes her a few moments of pondering Grin

reastie · 27/07/2011 12:27

morning afternoon

Love this talk of funny words. We say radigator instead of radiator and 'shuldigong' for excuse me (in the same way deb imy uses meesee). My sister and I used to have an odd language we spoke to each other in which really was just talking in a very odd but specific made up accent and adding 'sems' onto the end of lots of words Hmm . We still say heysems to eachother quite alot instead of hello Wink

ledkr glad you had a good week end.

wiggles is mr w moving a bunk bed single handedly?

WeAreBorg · 27/07/2011 12:31

ponyo ooh no I didn't mean Anya looked like a chap! My brother looked like a little girl with massive eyes and thick hair and my mum could never get anything done cos there were always people wanting to have a nosy!
Love cardigardens and Brother, sounds very formal! No bigger children here but DH likes to say ingtons after everything, e.g. are we going to the pubingtons? Not the same though really........My mum STILL uses words that we used to use when we were little, it's like mum jeez we're both over 30!

Still no weaning here, N is grabbing food off me and shoving it in his mouth.....then it falls out.
Off to have lunchwick now Smile

debka · 27/07/2011 12:37

reastie it's an actual person, they live in Birmingham. BTW isn't shuldigung a bastardisation of entschuldigung, the German for excuse me?

wigglesrock · 27/07/2011 12:41

Grin WeAreBorg Mr W does that do Shock, I meant the ingtons not the food falling out of his mouth!!

reastie Mr W will not be able to lift the bunkbeds himself in his compromised state Grin but is a dab hand at putting and unputting together furniture. He has already dismantled a shelving unit, I am now being slightly unhinged at getting the rooms done. This is why I don't do DIY, cooking etc I have no concept of delayed gratification Grin, thats why credit card companies love me Hmm

Oh reastie saw your other thread in Employment, I lurk there not stalking!! Just to let you know I had Sofia in nursery one day a week when I was working and she settled fine. On the other hand I gave up work after having Olivia because I couldn't swing childcare.

WeAreBorg · 27/07/2011 13:19

Grin DH does food falling out of his mouth too.

Forgot to say to ?delia was it, we have the rainforest jumperoo too. He's in it atm, very funny. He has not cottoned on to the bouncing bit at all, and his feet don't touch the ground anyway but he looks so serious meddling with all the buttons and toys as though he is doing some very important business, I got ignored when I tried to interfere! Well, beats the screeching whenever I leave the room that has been his recent fun

debka · 27/07/2011 14:47

O my the Moby is fantastic. Had her in it for about 1/2 hr and she was happy, and my back felt like it was being caressed by mr wiggles a warm snuggly blanket Grin

Think we're going to the New Forest Show tomorrow [groan], so will give you a full report after that!

byronicheroine · 27/07/2011 15:11

deb love love slings - we have a didymos (it was a pressie) and it has been a lifesaver. K loves being in it, he gets loads of attention and fussed over (also I get seats on public transport still - tee hee). Also, in Athens the pavements are terrible or non-existent so it really has been worth it, a push chair feels like taking your life in your own hands sometimes - especially with the greek drivers - as you are forced into the middle of the road. What pavements there are are cracked and have holes in, covered in dog sh*t or have trees randomly growing in the middle, or if no trees there are bound to be mopeds. The erratic parking (to put it politely) means that often if you are on the pavement you then can't get a buggy out through the cars so, yes, sling all the way. I haven't used it so much recently as K is well over 20 lbs and it's in the mid 30's here so we all get a bit sweaty and out of sorts!
Sorry, rant over!
wiggles hope mr wiggles appreciates all the attention he gets through this thread, even if it's vicarious :)
Love all the funny words, it's part of what makes a family unit, I think, and am looking forward to getting some from K. At the moment it's just us two quoting random films and weird tv shows.
We managed to get out for a friend's birthday last night, in the pub garden and K got loads of attention (not the mr wiggles kind!). Off to the Mall now to bask in the aircon watch the sunset with a coffee

janedoe25 · 27/07/2011 16:45

LOL at mr wiggles admirers!
I had a nice wee day with my nephew, although he did insisit i call him Elvis Confused At the park he was talking to an older boy (about 10) and he said "you look like a monkey cos you have big ears. Look auntiie Linda that boy looks like a monkey, i think i will call him spider monkey!" Oh god, i nearly died with embarrassment!
