freyas not got another check up till her 1st birthday. Still find it hard to believe she spent 3 months in a harness. Had freya in hysterics earlier just because i was pretending to eat her cheek, weird creature. She hasn't woken yet tonight and hopefully won't, she normally doesn't but the last couple of nights i've had to change her bum and reapply the cream and it seems to have upset her routine a little fingers x'd it'll fall back. Have finally sorted both christenings out for 11th sept i'm really hoping my family from essex make it up. Going to be one busy month. My sisters trial starts the 1st i am then running the new beginings group for 4 weeks as well as another stay and play, while the support workers take holidays, am very nervous about it, but it should be fine.
This is why i don't post as i just jabber on

janedoe25 · 18/07/2011 01:12

hubbard you won't be fine, you will be great! Hope everything goes ok with your sister. x

wiggles hope scan goes well and A is ok. x

Offt I am drunk! The first time since having Zoe, i only had a bottle of wine too! Don't think it will be happening again as i feel crappy and emotional.

debka · 18/07/2011 05:19

I knew I was tempting fate having another baby, how can I have one textbook who slept great and now THIS.

9.30pm feed, back to sleep after a little cry.

1.30am feed, straight back to sleep.

3.20am wake up, cries.

3.30am I go in, feed (a bit), back to sleep.

4.00am wake up, cries, back to sleep after 5 minutes.

4.20am wake up, cries A Lot.

4.30am I go in, administer Calpol, let her play with phone, try to feed (cries)

4.40am back in bed, cries A LOT

4.45am DH starts swearing

4.50am DH gets up, still swearing

4.55am I get baby up, walk her round

5.15am back to bed, goes to sleep.

WTF????? WWYD???

Right, I'm back off to bed too, DH can swear on his own.

See you all at a more civilised hour.

reastie · 18/07/2011 07:44

deb hope you are now sleeping. No advice at all other than alice has similar nights sometimes, there seems to be no reason we can find for it either Hmm . The only thing I thought when looking was is the bean actually hungry at night or was she crying for another reason (I could be way off but I would have thought if she isn't hungry then feeding her at night might encourage future increase in wakes for night feedings. but I may be talking out my my ledkrs patented bum shaped loo roll Wink )

jane hope you're not too hung over today.

hubbard those classes sound really interesting - hope it all goes well and Grin at cheek eating. Alice likes it when I try and (pretend to) eat her hands and toes but I've never tried her cheeks.

wiggles what time is the hip thing? hope it goes well

ledkr feeling any better today?

granny first tooth Hmm - no wonder he was stroppy!

ledkr · 18/07/2011 07:55

Gosh Deb children are annoying arent they? The baby must be hard work too Grin dh no better then?I just wish he'd married me cos id have taken his flipping head off if i was up with baby and he was swearing grrrrrrr.
reastie feel ok as long as i keep boshing paracetamol.
Dilly slept till 7 after her screaming last night,im sure she has my cold.
Only 4 more days until break up,dh suggested a weekend at the seaside so ive been looking at b and b's with no luck, would normally camp but not too keen with a baby.Im not that much of a dedicated camper.
hubbard your sisters trial sounds like it will be stressfull.
I have been put off doing the christening by the fact ill have to have dh family all haging about the plaace whilst im trying to organise it,am working on a plan as we speak.

Tarlia · 18/07/2011 08:27

Good morning ladies!

Urk, deb you poor poor thing, you must be exhausted :(. Is DH still alive? Grr, men! My first thought is teeth? I hope you both got some more sleep.

Jane I hope you are ok and not too hingover this morning

ledkr sorry to hear your house is full of the cold, hope you all feel better soon. How about a mesh feeder? I'm sure she'll eat before long, but don't panic as even if she is having a tiny taste that's fine, she gets all she needs from milk, although did you say she needed to be on solids before the op?

Those with mesh feeders and teething babies, have you considered frozen banana? I just thought of it whilst I ate one yesterday, yum.

Pussinglads · 18/07/2011 09:23

hello
a good night with the baby, thank god! Bed at 7.30ish, slept til 4.30, feed and back to sleep til 7. First time in weeks it's been so good! She's supposed to be napping now (exhausted after breakfast and bath), but isn't. aaagh, just want 5 mins to get dressed in peace!
Good luck for the scan wiggles, and debka and jane, here, have a jug of coffee!

chocoroo · 18/07/2011 10:30

Morning all,

Boo to all of you who've had bad nights. deb Yours sounds exhausting, I'm also thinking teeth. I have a textbook baby here whO likes her sleep but she's been waking randomly and screaming so we're putting it down to teeth...lots of chewing and very White gums. Stocked up on calpol, bonjela and some hippy dippy teething powders yesterday in preparation - she'll prob be in meltdown by the end of the week as she's staying at GP's on Fri while we're at wedding in Manchester. Sods law and all that.

tarlia frozen banana is a fab idea...will be trying later!

ledkr Ooh. The seaside. That sounds lovely.

Jane Happy hangover!

Hubbard you're gonna be very busy come Sept. Good lass!

reastie I saw your weight woes over the weekend and have to sympathise. I've got back to my pre-preg weight but it's an ass as I needed to shift at least a stone before then anyway! I think we just have to recognise we're busy mum's now. And I def agree with the 9 months on, nine months off thing. Have you been going for lots of big walks and stuff? I do sometimes and it's a massive mood lifter.

Right, wave to all those I've missed. Housey day today, shopping, hoovering and tidying on the menu. Need to be super organised this week due to wedding on Friday. I need to go up there on Thursday night so need to have my stuff sorted, and R's by then. And I could do with dropping about 7lbs. Soup all week then!

wigglesrock · 18/07/2011 11:34

Morning, well back from hospital, x-ray and exam seems fine, going to do a final check in November. Thanks for good thoughts esp hubbard, dress worked really well, just had to take her nappy off.

Of course the hospital is a specialist rehab orthapaeditic (sp Shock) and there were lots of sick children, soldiers with limb damage etc so I am a weepy grateful wreck, Anna on the other hand made lots of friends, she is such a flirt!! One of Mr Ws traits of course Wink

debka how you feeling? Did you manage to get any rest?

ledkr I lurk everywhere, taking notes, formulating spreadsheets Grin. I like lurking in tv, it can be very funny but the threads can move vv fast esp Apprentice and X factor!! I live such an exciting life!!! Hmm

janedoe25 · 18/07/2011 12:22

granny yay for nates first tooth!

debka you had one hell of a night! hope you manage to get some rest today.

wiggles glad all is ok with A.

No hangover here! Although there was/is a massive falling out with DF Sad Lets just say he has some major apologising to do! Angry

Emski76 · 18/07/2011 12:43

Granny, our first tooth!well done to Nate!
Debka, sounds like the night from hell! Noah has been unsettled at night for about a week now, m thinking it's a combo of cold nd teeth so have given him teething powder now before his nap. Am very tired tho. Went food shopping earlier and could barely make out the food on the shelves my eyes are so tired!
Poor Ben has a pathetic mummy today, don't think he's bothered tho as tv is on!
Wiggles, glad Anna ok. Bit of worry eh?
Reastie, I think were all battling with our weight/bodies at the moment. I know I am! But the more I think about it the more rubbish food I eat!

ledkr · 18/07/2011 13:11

sorry to the tired ones,i am just bloody used to it i think, went to baby group today she quite likes it,rolling around on the other babies.Weighed her and ashe is a chunky 16.8!!! I think the high cal formula is working then, she has gone from the 2nd to the 75th centile,i will check with my hv if this is ok,she will be coming to ww with me at this rate.
wiggles if you think that was fast come on the drunk threads on fri and sat, bloody hillarious.
Still full of cold here,am ok if i take 2 paracetamol tho,Dilly def not 100% not too bothered about her milk and a bit grizzly.
Can t believe we have a tooth on this thread already.

Pussinglads · 18/07/2011 16:06

hi all.

wiggles Yay!

jane what happened? Spill!

ledkr J will be going to WW too! She's on the 91st centile, and HAS to start crawling soon. I can't keep lugging her around! No sign of crawling (or even rolling) yet though.

choc Is it the first night away from the baby? We've got a wedding in Oct - swing between 'can't wait for a night off' and 'I don't want to go'!

chocoroo · 18/07/2011 16:18

led R's on the 75ty centile too. She's always been huge though!

Em I just tried one of the teething powders too...suspect they're absolute nonsense but worth a go, R is just so whiney at the mo...think we'll be following in Granny's Nate's footsteps soon.

puss I actually left R for three nights when she was 11 weeks...it was the hen do for the wedding this week. DP was in charge then so not exactly the same. We left her with GP's a couple of weeks ago when we went out, but we're going much further afield this time. You'll be well ready by October, although don't expect a lie in - whenever I've been away from R I've still been up dead early!

ledkr · 18/07/2011 16:32

Puss,i went to see Neyo in Brum when Dilly was 2 weeks old, then had a few nights out where she slept over at my sis who is a neo natal nurse and then when she was about 4 months i went to Paris with dd1 and left her for a week!! Terrible lax parenting Grin Ive always found it easy to leave mine as long as i know they are looked after.I also wake early tho after years of kids.
Dilly isnt right today, not too much interest in her milk and a bit grumpy too.
Gosh isnt this weather depressing,i was so looking forward to my first summer off for years and its shite,i can see me booking flights if it doesnt improve.
Already over my ww points for today and have really hardly eaten a thing,i had 2 rich tea biccys with my tea this am and then a piece of malt loaf just now,i mean big deal but its taken me well over, not sure i can do this, planning to re start shredding as soon as my cold has gone.Has anyone been getting the sweats since baby's,i was thinking it might be an early menopause but my periods are spot on and apparently that stops first, god id love an end to periods and contraception Grin

reastie · 18/07/2011 16:56

ledkr my mum still has her periods and she's 60 Shock . But I think she does have other menopausal things going on, just still got the periods Hmm

wiggles glad the hip apt was OK and anna doing a good job flirting. How was sisters scan?

Alice been a pain handful today. Not sure why, just grizzly and moany and snacking/napping at odd times. Maybe it's teething too, or maybe she's got what I've got. She's been giggling quite a bit but in a manic insane way iykwim. I wonder if it's as she's bored of being at home with me, but we went to my parents this morning so she got lots of cuddles from different people then Hmm

jane are you OK? What happened?

ledkr if you only eat 2 biccies and a malt loaf slice and you're over your points there'd be no hope with me and ww.

puss Grin for a good night

not heard from deb since her tired comment this morning - hope she's OK.

reastie · 18/07/2011 16:58

wiggles meant to say, I now have a great picture of the iconic mr w in my head - he's a hobbit like flirt who is a policeman by day and stripper by night who likes to smack bottoms Grin Wink

wigglesrock · 18/07/2011 17:26

reastie Grin you got it about right!! Haven't heard from my sister yet, her scan wasn't until late this afternoon but thought I would have heard Hmm. Although haven't heard from my Mum, so assuming all is ok!

Anna has done soooo many dirty nappies today, also think it might be the beginning of teething.

wigglesrock · 18/07/2011 18:24

Oh my sister rang - all good, baby a real mover, due date been moved to 3 February Grin, I will be taking bets on her going into labour very dramatically at Annas' first birthday party Grin.

ledkr think you have smited me, I have a niggly sore throat and a thumping headache all day, feel sick, want my mummy!!!!

tadjennyp · 18/07/2011 19:17

Grin wiggles for your sister!

Sorry for all non-sleeping babies, poorly people, and crap weather. Would love to get out and about here too! S seems to be keeping his extra night feed now and he's feeding later in the evening too. Will have to start giving him solids soon. Has anyone got any plans for the summer holidays?

debka · 18/07/2011 19:21

Hey all, thank you for the sympathy, it was a truly rotten night. All my fingers are crossed for tonight- she's only cat napped in the car and pushchair today (we met up with the vile pils in Whitstable), so is incredibly tired. Not sure if this is a good or a bad thing....

I went back to sleep 5-8 which was lovely, but DH was up from 5. He just doesn't cope with being woken or disturbed at night- another reason why I'm glad I don't ff because I'd expect him to feed and he wouldn't do it. He was sweet today, really looked out for me when we were with pils.

O bloody bugger the baby's crying.... ignore, ignore, ignore....

Sorry I've been so crap at responding to everyone, I do read them all, honest, but I'm just too knackered to keep it all in my head to write something.

Right, may have to resettle baby

This too will pass, this too will pass, this too will pass...

ILovePonyo · 18/07/2011 19:38

Hey all, have spent the weekend at my mums which was v nice but dd did not sleep well in her new environment! So feeling tired this evening.

deb good luck tonight, your night last night made me Shock really feel for you. Glad your dh was looking after you today.

wiggles congrats to your sis and glad scan was ok. I did Grin at your comment the other night re: "maritals", made me chuckle.

jane what happened with df? Hope you're ok (and not feeling too rough - diet coke and lots of carbs always good for hangovers imho!)

puss I lost weight when pg and a bit more after having dd, then put it all back on after eating like a big pig during first few baby weeks, especially easter eggs Hmm Being nosy, where in east mids are you? Myself and another feb lady are in nottingham.

hubbard dd loves it when I pretend to eat her cheek too! Big smiles and turning her head with her mouth open, v funny. reastie was it you who said A likes it when you say bobobob - well dd loves it when we say 'puppypuppypuppy' to her Hmm

ledkr dd has been a right fusspot on her bottles for the last few days, annoying isn't it. Hope dils is better tomo.

Hope everyone else is doing well, sorry if I have missed anything.
Oh reastie I made a nectarine flan/tart thing today - turned out pretty well

reastie · 18/07/2011 20:00

ponyo brownie points heading your way now Grin . I was wondering where you were. I Grin [chuckle] at puppypuppypuppy. alice has now progressed from bobobobobobobobobobobob to billybobobobob billybobobobob Hmm

wiggles yeah for your sister. jane that'll be you soon

catch up later

ledkr · 18/07/2011 20:02

wiggles i felt sick with my thing too, must have sent my germs thru the internet Grin have just had anice long soak as dh is doing dilly, hes on alate shift tomorrow so it'll be me all the way. Ella has her swimming gala tomorrow and has just cried for half an hour cos she has lost her hat,i asked her what she expected to happen but she cried harder so i went for a bath, bloody kids.
reastie your mum has the rough end of the stick then,i was hoping for acomplete hault to it all mine are smack on the dot and returned exactly 4 weeks after D was born, relentless things.
ponyo i gave up trying in the end,i sent 200mls up with dh for bed in the hope that she has a good feed, still at 16lb im not too worried eh?
deb i hope tonight is better for you, glad to hear dh can be a good un if he tries,i can sympathise cos i literally hate the nights disturbed but i do at least try to remain an adult Grin

wigglesrock · 18/07/2011 20:10

Ponyo was it Anya that was mad about your cats? I can't remember, Annas' obsession with our dog has reached maniac stage - she is now able to maneouvre her walker and seemingly glide towards the poor, old, slightly senile dog Grin.

She's also a bit fussy with her bottles lately, she's just soooo bored of them, if only her mean Mummy would break out the ice-cream again Grin

Mr W is doing a course all week, updating his first aid, today was baby first aid day, so we're having a quick demonstration later obviously not with Anna, the rock 'n' roll lifestyle never ends in the Wiggles house Hmm.
