Hi ladies,
well am on hols being rained on and wind-blown in not so sunny north wales. Hideous weather all day today.
DH snuck the laptop in (didn't think we'd have room) so here I am, mning in a caravan whilst DH gives C her bedtime bottle.
Well Friday night we skipped the dreamfeed with no ill-effects. Last night (first night in caravan) another story. Massive noisy rainstorm at 2.30am and C woke up and after an hour would not re-settle so I ended up doing a night feed which I haven't done since 7 weeks!!!!! Oh dear. So bit of a step backwards but hoping it's just a one-off, got woken by noise, in a strange place etc. Feeling particularly put out as completely not used to night wakings anymore.
reastie sorry you've been feeling blue, don't be so hard on yourself, you're doing amazingly, and you know what, this is just about the most stressful thing we can do, so if the weight is not dropping off you right now, don't let it get you down. It's still just a few months since our LOs arrived and we have enough to worry about without stressing about weight.
I thought of you the other day, as I remembered your pic of A dressed in a winter coat and tights that your DH had randomly selected for her. Well Saturday morning, we were packing to come away, DH was doing C's breakfast bottle, and he shouts upstairs..."does she have this warm or cold" and I thought WTF I heated it already, well anyway, he had given her the bottle (result!), but taken it up on himself to give her some solids too (fine), but out of the fridge, he could have selected porridge, creamy rice breakfast, or mixed veg medley (carrot, cauli, peas and spuds), and what did he choose, yeah, the mixed veg. I keep sniggering now thinking of poor C being fed cauli and peas for breakfast! She did look a bit baffled and kind of pleading for a more sensible breakfast.
Yesterday was OK but today has been shi!te due to midnight feast for C. We did go and visit a pal though who lives near here and has a baby 3 weeks younger than C, so it was nice to see her.
Anyway, that's it from stormy north wales, hopefully C won't wake tonight fingers crossed.
D
