jane i feel your Confused . what pg test are you using? some are more sensitive than others. I seem to recall first response were pretty good at showing early positives. Try it first wee of the day too as it's more likely to be accurate then as it's more concentrated (prob telling you things you know already Blush ). I had to do a pg test at family planning clinic yesterday Shock - it was a bfn Wink

Had baby sensory this morning and was a french spesh. we did the can can which was waving a bit of material all together (a la parachute) with some jazzy flashing lights on the material. Some over zealous mums decided to be rather furious with their waving of material and I spent the whole time tryhing to dodge flying flashing lights Shock Hmm Wink

YES WANDERING OVER HERE Grin I watched neighbours too Grin bit bored with all this sonya storyline but glad harold is back

suzy and american Grin to the sleep and american Shock to the how many weeks

for some reason i have terribly painful nipples at the min. I'm starting to wonder if I've got thrush again or maybe it's just alice sucking so strongly with a not perfect latch doing some damage that can't sort itself out when i feed. Might have to go to bf drop in help thingy next week if this continues Confused

ILovePonyo · 21/06/2011 15:31

Grin reastie I love hearing about your baby sensory classes, they sound so random! But good of course too Wink

jane I too feel your pain, its almost as if its better to get a bfn plus period with no symptoms and then at least you know, whereas the maybe/maybe not is excrutiating (sp?) I bet if you spend £10 on a first response test you'll get your period same day Wink

emski I've heard good things about those slumber bears, let us know what you think!

deb your day yest sounds so hectic, well done you for getting through it. Grin at you and american saying dp is scary, yes he is in that piccy! He doesn't look like that all the time honest :)

american maybe L will be a side or tummy sleeper like dd, she;s sleeping better (sometimes) since I put her on her side to sleep. My mum reckons she'll be a tummy sleeper like I was (and still am). Hmm at asking how many wks pg you are, hope you're not too bothered?!

suzy I'm really pleased for you re: H's sleep, what a little star! Long may it continue! Are you getting a video monitor?

Hope ledkr is ok :)

I've got a cold and am really worried about giving it to dd who is already snotty...

40Weeks · 21/06/2011 15:43

Hello

Yes we have fallen foul of the M&P after care 'service' - knobheads.

debka you should be sainted, can you get online delivery? You must be so stressed out. Am sending you a virtual spa treatment!

BFF just arrived and so have to dash ....

janedoe25 · 21/06/2011 15:48

Ha ha ponyo funny you said that, i had bought first response yesterday, done test earlier this pm, just been to the loo and sorry if tmi but on wiping there was some pink spotting! I am pretty sure AF is on the way, im just glad to know now and looking forward to the fun again once she goes away Grin

WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 15:49

Jane it's so frustrating! I feel frustrated for you!

reastie, I'm disappointed that you got a bfn Sad Wink. No advice on breastfeeding, sorry, but dropping in at the BF drop in sounds like a good idea, maybe you could see a BF counsellor? Sorry I'm a bit useless but both mine were/are FF.

American don't worry! She was just making conversation, maybe she thought you were about 6 weeks or something just because you were in Antenatal bit.

I've sent M&P an email threatening to never buy anything from there again. Hope they send me vouchers Wink

40weeks i share your pain with m&p, we enquired about returning zoe's pram (before we decided to keep it) and they point blank refused even after we told them she had passed away Angry

WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 15:53

Xposted Jane! at least when AF comes you'll know one way or the other and you can try again but the wait is excruciating!

OP posts:
WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 15:57

OMG Jane that's terrible Angry. The prams have a years warranty so, IMO, that means that they should have taken it back!!!!! I imagine they would have had it been faUlty! I'm shocked at that Shock

OP posts:
chocoroo · 21/06/2011 16:01

Hello!

Jane I'm gobsmacked at M&P saying you couldn't return the pram. That is horrendous and I'll be boycotting. And good luck with the trying...

ponyo We just had a cold and it was grim - first time we've both been full of it at the same time. We got a nasal aspirator though and that turned into a new hobby. Oh, and I can't see your pictures :(

Reastie We did the can can at Baby Sensory last week. R really enjoyed it last week and I was singing the Hello song to her yesterday and she giggled away. It's a water special tomorrow so looking forward to that.

American I was wondering how pregnant I must look to other people. Particularly when I'm out without R. I have developed awful posture - I stand with my belly sticking out.

Wandering Another Neighbours fan here...I sometimes watch twice!

Off to get my haircut this afternoon. I cannot wait! Also need to buy some Spanx before bridesmaid dress trying on at weekend. Have lost 3lbs this week since doing fruit and veg in day time but I am co-bridesmaiding with 3 skinny minnies who don't have kids!

WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 16:19

Well done on the weightloss choc! You don't look pg at all and I'm sure American doesn't either! From all the photos that I've seen of everyone on this thread - everyone looks brill!

I've been Grin at Dieter Brummer being in Neighbours! I used to well fancy him when he was in Home & Away Grin Blush

OP posts:
chocoroo · 21/06/2011 16:23

American I actually tweeted immediately when Dieter Brummer came on! Malcolm Kennedy is coming back soon too!

americanexpat · 21/06/2011 16:24

jane - that is horrible about the pram. Angry

I'm really not bothered about the comment. To be fair, I WAS in the antenatal clinic where they do the early scans and it was her first day so probably didn't know they run other clinics out of it too. To her credit, she followed it by saying how gorgeous L is and that forgives a lot of indiscretions. Grin

janedoe25 · 21/06/2011 16:35

Blush wandering i was confused and wondering what a brummer diet is! Grin

To be honest, i am glad that they refused to take the pram back, we were returning it on an impulse. When we thought about it we knew we would use for any siblings we may have for Zoe.

chocco yay for the weight loss! Poor little R with her cold hope you are both over the worst of it now.

All the mindees are away now, they had their school trip to the safari park ; it has been chucking it down all day, poor kids were soaked to the skin and freezing!

WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 16:36

Choc I used to love Billy! They won't bring him back though coz he's in House now. I used to think he looked like Leonardo DiCaprio Hmm which was why I liked him. I wasn't keen on Malcolm.

OP posts:
ILovePonyo · 21/06/2011 16:44

Sorry choco you should be able to see my grumpy dp pic now Grin Did you get the nasal thingy where you have a bulb on the end or when you have to suck?! We have one with the bulb and its rubbish.

jane how funny about the first response then AF (prob) returning :) I do think thats a bit shocking about M&P not letting you return pram, glad you decided to keep it though.

wandering fingers crossed for vouchers!

I really used to fancy Dieter Brummer Hmm

reastie · 21/06/2011 16:45

just off to catch up but wandering thats deiter brummer in neighbours? i KNEW i recognised him from my old copies of tvhits magazine

WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 16:46

Jane I'm glad that you're glad about the pram but it's still shitty of M&P, arseholes!

Lol at brummer diet! Grin

OP posts:
reastie · 21/06/2011 16:48

and choc i once saw malcom kennedy in panto Blush Wink

jane have fun this month on the ttc Wink - i shall be waving those pom poms (prob not the mental image you want when dtd is it Wink Shock )

wandering if you get vouchers i'll eat my hat Wink

ILovePonyo · 21/06/2011 16:50

oh I meant to say - has anyone elses lo recently found their feet?! dd found hers yesterday and is fascinated Grin

WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 16:59

I doubt it too! Knobbers! I'll eat my hat if they even reply!

My sister received £200 from b&m bargains recently, although her complaint was about something much more serious! They had new trolleys in store and she'd put my nephew in the trolley (in the seating bit obv) and was pushing it around when it collapsed Shock poor child was traumatised and the staff were useless! When she went to put DN in a trolley in another shop he kept saying, "bang head! Bang head!"

She emailed a complaint because she didn't even get an apology or asked if he was ok, by the staff and they offered her £200!

OP posts:
janedoe25 · 21/06/2011 18:55

OMG wandering that is shocking, your poor nephew!

tadjennyp · 21/06/2011 19:00

Just popping in to say hello while Mum and Dad are out shopping. It is lovely to see them with S and my Mum has the touch with him! Hope everyone else is ok. Haven't managed to read all posts, but sorry about AF Jane and glad you had a lovely time in Disney ledkr. Hope the GP sorts you out. Don't worry about what other people think of your weight at the wedding. Anyone who thinks that a woman who has recently given birth is fat is a twat and their opinion therefore doesn't count.

Have I missed anything important? Can someone fill me in please?
Oh and does anyone have a non-sleeping baby? S seems to be down to one nap a day! Shock

Hope bedtime is going well for everyone back home. J

debka · 21/06/2011 20:08

O God DH has been talking to me about octopuses for HALF AN HOUR, can someone PLEASE come and rescue me??!!!

Sabine has a new party trick- she can sit up! Can't do it naked but she's been doing it all day with her nappy on (she wears terrys which support her lower back a bit), whilst sucking a babywipe and looking v proud of herself.

Phew, he's gone out for a fag now, the monologue has stopped! Think it's his idea of us Talking. Men eh?

Hope ledkr is ok.

I haven't watched neighbours since I was a teenager, didn't know it was still on TBH, and cn't BEIEVE Harold is still in it! I am picturing the chin wobble reastie! I love House though, can't decide who I'd pick first Grin, I'm assuming Billy is Chase?

reastie · 21/06/2011 20:59

deb octopusses?! Hmm Shock . How random Grin v impressed s is sitting up on her own . and yes, harold still on neighbours, as is lou carpentar, paul robinson and karl, susan and libby kennedy Grin . Never seen house Hmm

wandering Shock at your DN. Completely unrelated but I once got £50 new look vouchers when I tried to return a top which frayed really quickly and the shop manager tried to blame me for doing it on purpose to get a refund and refused to take it back Shock Shock Confused . I sent a v rude letter to hq and avoided new look for years afterwards (aside from spending the voucher obv Wink )

wide awake baby here Confused

WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 21:18

I used to work in New Look when I was at sixth form college! Was an ace job - we used to get 50 percent discount. The managers where I worked were ok and probably would have refunded you no problem Reastie! The clothes in there then, weren't as nice as they are now though (about nine years ago).

Debka what the hell was he saying about Octopusses? Well done to S for sitting up Grin.
