Jane when was x day? Fwiw I did 2 neg tests before getting a yes last time around....will keep fingers crossed for you, must be so hard.

reastie I am totally freaked out now as had just agreed with gp I would have the coil but didn't know all that! Are you having it fitted in hospital ? They said I could have it done by one of the gp's. Oh gawd not sure now. She also said I shouldn't need it if I am excl bfing but I dint trust that method although have to wait til AF arrives anyway. Don't know why I am worried it's not like we are at it! And I mean IT (not 'it' Wink ) so it's not like contraception is a major issue..... Ho hum. Did laugh about the darling bit tho.

ledkr sorry you are feeling shit, I do sympathize. I have good days and ba days and today was a bad day, which is a shame as had such a nice weekend. But dh was a miserable arse this morning which put me in a gloomy mood which escalated and then I argued with the boys as they wouldn't tidy up. M wouldn't sleep, just cried all day and I was trying to be a good mummy/wife and do two homemade chicken and ham pies for our dinner and put clean sheets on the bed and I just feel so crap that these simple tasks take so much out of me and take hours to complete between the refereeing between ds1&2 and sorting M out. Uurrgggh, tomorrow is another day!

Thanks for the soup inspiration choc they sounds delish!

Glad playgroup was good Byronic but relieved they aren't as good as us Grin

How was the nursery ponyo??

Delia would love to see pics when you get them, they sound great - I am not very photogenic at the best of times but did consider it now we have all our boys, need to convince H though (have dropped the 'D' a la reastie as he is being a cock)

ILovePonyo · 20/06/2011 20:22

Hey all, 40weeks sorry to hear you had a crap day today, (I had the opposite crap weekend nice day with dd being fab today) I do think that dh/p's have a big influence if they're being moody too, before I could shrug it off and ignore but can't seem to do that now. I dunno about chicken and ham pies being simple tasks Grin sound lovely though send some my way!

Nursery was...ok, my instinct says no though. Nowt dodgy ( though I did think "do all nurseries change the kids bums on their own in seperate rooms?" They prob do right?!) I just know that there are nicer nurseries here, unfortunately on finding out prices they are more expensive too (pretty much what I earn after tax Hmm) Going to another (nice one) tomo.

Thanks for soups choco! Sound nice, I quite like making soup too. Will let you know when I have attempted one.

byronic I don't know how you cope in the heat, I am not a fan of the hot weather here never mind Greece! Hope sleep is better tonight.

ledkr love that Dils likes books, little bookworm :) dh and I are both bookworms ourselves but I don't want to pressure dd when shes older incase it puts her right off - she does seem to like chewing on her winnie the pooh book atm. Hope you've had a restful day.

delia I really want to see the pic of C on her tummy looking proud! Grin

Speaking of pics I;m going to see if I can get some up now that dps friend took...

ILovePonyo · 20/06/2011 20:38

Hmm the photos he took wouldn't work, think they're copyrighted, so have put up 2 more pics of dd, one with dp in the background so you have a nosy at who I've been moaning about the last couple of days Grin

reastie · 20/06/2011 21:00

Just watching wimbledon - woohoo murray Grin

ponyo love the piccies, esp the one of the incredibly big smile Grin .

40 Blush - I so didn't mean to scare you re: coil . If it helps, the nurse wasn't even going to give the sheet with all that scary pre coil advice to me until I started asking too many questions for her to bother answering. I tried to have a coil fitted in the past at gp surgery and they said nothing at all about this scary stuff so maybe my hosp are being over catious Hmm . FWIW I would say I think the best place to go is the family planning clinic not GP surgery if you can as they fit them all the time at family planning so are much more skilled. At my GP surgery they also don't have the right type of beds/couches to get your legs open properly so it makes the whole thing harder Confused but have no idea about yours. I don't think you'll have any probs at all though, having had 3 dss your cervic will be nice a wide Wink . I have my apt to have it in next wed so will let you know how I go. I am bricking myself about it though as the blinking swabs she took hurt enough Shock

ponyo remind me when you're back to work so have to make use of this nursery?

Four4me · 20/06/2011 21:14

Lovely photos ponyo it is so hard picking nurseries, hope tomorrow goes better.

Hope tomorrow goes better 40 it is so hard juggling lots of littlies. Sometimes I mutter under my breath to myself 'help I'm totally out numbered!' I do all my washing and cleaning etc on a night when they are all in bed as I get so sick of getting broken off during the day.

Jane I too have had bfn tests and then tested a few days later and got bfp. Keeping everything crossed. If not enjoy ttc!

reastie how funny about saying 'darling' too much mning my darling!!!!!

ledkr glad you and E had a nice trip, hope the gp is helpful and you are taking good care of yourself.

Chaotic as usual here. Archie had is last jabs last week, poor love was very grumpy all day. Ds1 had his year 2 sats at school. He has special needs and so was doing a picture story and was supposed to stay quiet while the others did their work. His teaching assistant kept getting him to go back to work. Thomas turned to her and told her that she was giving him a headache! Little monkey, wonder where he has heard that before! Whoops.

WanderingSheep · 20/06/2011 22:14

Hi everyone!

Hope everyone has had a good day and all the babies are being good Wink

Delia glad the photoshoot went well! I'm hoping to get some of DD1 and 2 but I'm going to wait until DD2 is sitting up We had some pics of DD1 done when she was 12 weeks old - they were done for my mums 60th (we had photos done of her and my nephew) and we didn't intend to buy any for ourselves but they were so cute, we just had to!

Ledkr sorry for how youre feeling atm but you sound like you're taking the right steps and hopefully you'll feel better soon!

Reastie good luck with the coil

Ponyo your DD is stunning! Those big, beautiful eyes - aww Smile

four4me just had a look at your pics! What a gorgeous family! I love the pic of your DD with Archie Smile LOL at your DS1 saying that the TA was giving him a headache - my DD1 says that to me (I think I say it to her often) Grin

I've had an extra day of peace today as DD1 was on a preschool trip (she doesn't usually go on a Monday)
Noting exciting though, just did washing and ironing inbetween feeding and playing with L, lucky me!

four4me LOL at Thomas, cheeky little monkey!

ponyo LOVE the pics, your DD is sooooo beautiful, and what a big smile Grin

Yet another quiet boring day here for me, suppose i should really clean this manky house! Wink

Emski76 · 21/06/2011 08:36

Hi all
I had to work yesterday and am going in later today so have been trying to catch up, plus Noah still has his cold so I've not had the best nights sleep. Going back to bed with Noah for his nap in a while!
Ponyo, your lo is gorgeous, such beautiful big eyes!
40, sorry you had a bad day yest, sometimes I feel like I spend my whole time chasing my tail!
Being in work yest, it has hit me just how manic my life is going to be when I go back to work! Am not relishing the thought at the monent!
Must go Noah is starting to whinge.....

WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 09:38

Oh ems poor you! How come you've had to work?

Rant alert:

I'm so pissed off at Mamas and Papas! I got back from the school run on Thursday and noticed that the cup holder on the handle had dropped off, causing a screw to be loose. I thought, 'great, I can't use my pram now because if the screw comes out, the handle will come off and the whole thing is buggered!" Rang their careline on Thursday and they're sending a new cup holder (all fine and dandy) at first he wanted me to pay nine quid for the cup holder! Er, no, it's a fault with your shitty product! But now they're just replacing it, which is brill but I've just had an email saying it has JUST been dispatched and will be with me in the next 3 working days! So in the meantime I have no pram and have to get DD1 to school! I have to take her this afternoon, which means I'll have to carry heavy lump DD2 - she weighs over a stone, FGS, plus it looks like it's going to rain! Aaaargh!

Jane when you've done yours pleeeease come and do mine Wink it's a hovel!

OP posts:
WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 09:45

And to top it off I've run out of hearing aid batteries but can't get anywhere!

OP posts:
ILovePonyo · 21/06/2011 09:54

Bloody hell its just taken me 25 mins to settle dd for a nap Confused

Thanks for all nice comments for dd, yes she is lovely isn't she Grin Wink

reastie I'm (prob) back at work in Nov - how about you? Oh and I'm not going to another nursery today, I'm going for my smear test Hmm How did I get them mixed up, nice nursery is wed. I meant to say reastie your story re: nurse and "darling" did make me laugh, thats something I can imagine myself doing.

Four4 love that T told the ta she's giving him a headache, haha! Say it how it is :)

ems boo to work, can I be nosy and ask what you do?! Hope you have a nice big nap with N today.

wandering I've found quite a few products from M&P's poor quality, the wheel on my pram is wonky and have been debating whether to get another from them, can't be bothered with hassle though! Could you send a complaint email? (am thinking you might get some vouchers but doubt it) Good luck today without pram.

Was planning a trip to park today but it does look grey - it'll prob rain on me on my way to docs Grin

WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 10:15

What pram have you got Ponyo? I might send them an email. It's the first thing I have ever bought from m&p as their stuff is so expensive!

Hope it doesn't rain on you! Looks like it might brighten up here but you never know - can be clear blue skies one minute and torrential rain the next! Confused

OP posts:
ILovePonyo · 21/06/2011 10:58

I've got the Sola pram, which one have you got? Their stuff is expensive which is why its more annoying when it breaks!

Still grey skies here...

WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 11:13

I've got the Pilko pramette city scape, which I've loved until now!

It's pouring down now! Hmm

OP posts:
WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 11:22

TBH, it isn't obligatory that DD1 goes to school - I could keep her off but she gets bored at home and to put it nicely - she's doing my head in! I'm not in a good mood and I'm very short tempered with her Blush

OP posts:
reastie · 21/06/2011 12:57

wandering , I SAID WANDERING (incase you can't hear me over here without your hearing aid batteries) Grin Wink Wink dont get me started on m and p - i bought online some of their mat clothes but returned a few bits that didnt fit and over a month later no refund still. rang them up and when they finally took me off hold i discovered they just hadn't got around to refunding Angry there have been loads of mn threads about their rubbish customer services

ledkr whens the gp apt/how did itgo>?

ponyo I'm baclk work december

Emski76 · 21/06/2011 13:15

Hi all, am sneakily mnetting while the big boys are at lunch! I manage the payroll and HR for a building contractors. Have had to come in this week for a few hours to cover as girl covering me is on holiday. I want to be at home with my baby. We went back to bed at 8.45 this morning and woke at 10.30!! He must have needed the sleep as when I brought him into bed with us at 3.30am he was so blocked up that he'd close his eyes to sleep then open them wide as if frightened because he couldn't breathe!
Luckily he is still his happy self when awake, and he did sleep solidly until 3.30am so can't really complain.
I've never shopped at M & P and won't be after some of the things I've heard on here!
I've bought a slumber bear from Amazon which should arrive in few days. Does anyone else have one? Its sound activated, so when baby cries at night it plays music, or soothing sounds for 5 minutes to help baby back to sleep. Am hoping it helps Noah, I can't keep getting up to turn him back on his side, or smooth his back in the middle of night because he can't get back to sleep!
Hope your all ok

debka · 21/06/2011 13:16

Hey all,

Had a frantic day yesterday, my mum is completely bedbound ATM and her MiL has gone home so I'm looking after her again, not a major deal, just have to make her lunch and take her tea and cake at regular intervals and check she's not dead ok. Had to do our shopping, then my aunt who's back has given out asked me to do hers at the same time, then my dad asked me to do theirs, so I had to do 3 peoples shopping, with 2 small children in tow. Was a fricking nightmare. Then S didn't want to sleep so I had to do the pram march round the lanes, then had to deliver my aunt's shopping, then cook tea, for 2 families. Was blooming knackered by the end of the day.

And breathe.

Today turning out much better though, went to visit a friend so Imy could play with her girls, which was lovely. Now both girls are asleep.

reastie you brave girl having that coil fitted. I'll have my legs crossed for you! Grin

wandering that's rubbish about the pram. We have a Jane which is on its second Girl and we've had no problems with it at all.

ponyo DD is cute but your DP looks scary!!

janedoe25 · 21/06/2011 13:27

Offt debka what a day you had! Hope your mum is ok.

ledkr hope you are feeling better.

suzym1984 · 21/06/2011 13:32

Hi! Just checking in quickly..

emski yes we have a slumber bear and its worth its weight in gold! Was fab when H was little as whenever he stirred the womb noises would come back on and lull him back to sleep. Also, whenevr he gets in a screaming crying mess, holding it up to his ear really soothes him!

debka that made me tired just reading it! Hope you mum feels better soon.

wandering grrrr at the pram!

Well, dont know whether to say this, but H slept 7.30pm-7.30 am last night. Dropping the dreamfeed seems to have helped!

Just waiting in for my baby monitor to arrive today, Im so excited! Like a kid at Christmas!

WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 14:01

Aw, well done H Suzy! Sounds like he's cracking it

OP posts:
WanderingSheep · 21/06/2011 14:03

What's a Slumber bear btw?

OP posts:
americanexpat · 21/06/2011 14:09

Emski - N sounds like a different baby to a few weeks ago! Let me know how you get on with the slumber bear. I suggested it to DH but he wondered if L was too old now to find it comforting.

debka - Shock what a day! Is there a shop that will deliver the shopping (think you live in a small village but can't remember, maybe no supermarket)? You are a saint and your family is so lucky to have you.

Miracle of miracles, L has fallen asleep on his playmat. He has NEVER fallen asleep on his own like that during the day. He was being fussy in the swing so I dropped laid him gently on the playmat so I could have some lunch, he flipped onto his tummy and started dozing.

I had an appt with the physio yesterday in the antenatal clinic. A new student midwife (her first day) was being friendly and asked how many weeks I was. Shock She looked a bit embarrassed when I told her why I was there, said she thought it was a quick turnaround. :)

americanexpat · 21/06/2011 14:26

reastie - good luck with coil insertion, hope it's a doddle. Maybe they tell you to eat as it's less likely you'll faint/feel faint?

jane - you're so much more restrained than I am, I'd be testing every day haha.

Ponyo - she is absolutely lovely. Your DP does look a bit scary, must be the stare. Grin

janedoe25 · 21/06/2011 14:41

No restraint expat just had anothe BFN, seriously doing my head in now! I was very nearly sick earlier and my boobs are killing me. I just need to know what is going on Angry

Right best be off on school run now.
