wigglesrock · 03/07/2011 22:39

ledkr I know, glad I watched it and wished I hadn't at the same time Sad Off to bed, now having to resist temptation to get all the girls into bed with me and keep them safe!

40Weeks · 04/07/2011 07:29

Morning girls. You are a braver pair than me, wiggles and ledkr I made dh turn over, couldnt even attempt watching it.

Got I hate Monday's... Am taking the boys to their Microsports class and am booking them onto tennis lessons for the summer hols, wimbledon fever lives on!

Have a great day/week everyone, hope the bubbas slept well for you - we were up at 5.48

ledkr · 04/07/2011 07:47

about 5.30 here but awake from 4 as i could hear her stirring, she's a rigt misery now and im in a mood.heyho

reastie · 04/07/2011 07:49

Morning, I meant to watch 'stolen' but forgot it was on. Might try it on iplayer but not sure how far I'll get before welling up/turning it off. I'm slowly catching up on desperate on 4od but am finding the botoxed look all the ladies seem to have (esp bree) a little Hmm Shock

ledkr that story made me Shock

wiggles I think you have excellent name choice - I love anna - I nearly chose it for alice but my mum had an angel baby called anna so for me it felt a little Confused if i call alice that

hope hangovers are now a distant memory to all suffering.

lots of cleaning to do today and last baby massage lesson later - wonder how little much I'll learn Grin

keep meaning to say - alice still going mental most evenings - any advice (esp sleep guru ledkr ) welcome. She seems to go to sleep about 7 - 8 but then ALWAYS wakes up about an hour later screaming the house down and only settles when we pick her up. she then faffs about a bit and might go back to sleep, might not, until her supposed dream feed at 9:30 . Most nights she's asleep in her cot by 10:30 but the whole evening until then is her up and down Confused . We've tried patting, singing, light show, relaxing music, dark room, late afternoon nap, no late afternoon nap, walk/fresh air straight before bed, massage, feeding, rocking, bath, doing the usual routine, changing the usual routine, leaving her to cry, picking her up when she crys then down when she stops repeatidly. I feel like I'm running out of options and DH and I are just accepting we have interupted evenings but a couple of months ago she went down every night early so we must have done/be doing something wrong...

ILovePonyo · 04/07/2011 08:17

ledkr am loving the stories about E, she's so funny. Sorry about your rubbish sleep, do you think it was the travel cot or just a bad night? Meant to say ages ago, I was reading that "supernatural experiences" thread a while ago and what happened to you was scary!! (I love those threads even though they freak me out)

wiggles one thing that puts me off having anymore children is that dd was/is a pretty good sleeper (most of the time) and don't know how I'd cope with a really bad sleeper! MIL likes to tell us how bad SIL's 2nd ds is, though she did tell me thats b'cos she didn't breast feed him Hmm

40 microsports?! What is please Grin Hope today goes smoothly for you.

reastie I don't have any advice but will have a think just in case and I'm sure some more experienced peoples will have some ideas for you. What time is she waking up in the morning now?

Am feeling quite chirpy as (don't look ledkr Wink) did the dummy run at 5.30 and 6 then dd slept til 7.30 - I woke her up v gently by saying hello to her, she looked at me all shocked then did a big grin, was v cute.

Oh and I think a bunch of chavs over the road called me a yummy mummy last night when my friend was dropping me off, wtf Hmm Confused

reastie · 04/07/2011 08:26

ponyo love the big grin morning greeting Grin and Hmm to the yummy mummy comment. Alice wakes up for a feed in the morning any time from about 5 - 7:30 (sadly every time she's slept in until the latter I've woken up at 5 and can't get back to sleep again :( ) and she still sometimes does her trick of waking in the night screaming and screaming and screaming (and screaming some more Hmm ). I think maybe I have the opposite to ledkr - dilly is asleep early and up early and alice is asleep late and up late(r) - shall we swap?! Grin Shock

ILovePonyo · 04/07/2011 09:01

She's waking early then, really feel for you :( Babies are so confusing, sorry i don't have any ideas but lets wait and see what what advice you get... Maybe Alice could just learn to talk and let you know whats going on Wink

wigglesrock · 04/07/2011 09:16

We had a good nights sleep here last night - 6.30am Grin

40Weeks we bought Sofia Tescos own swingball for her birthday, only opened last week because of constant rain and holiday. She absolutely loves it, swinging blindly but gets great fun out of it.

Ponyo Anna wakes with a big grin now Grin

Hope we all have lovely days, weather is still great here but is supposed to change tomorrow Hmm

wigglesrock · 04/07/2011 09:20

Oh, meant to say Happy 4th July to tad , americanexpat and anyone else who needs an excuse for a bit of a party Grin Right back to expectantly await the news of the Beckhams new baby play with the girls!!!

ledkr · 04/07/2011 09:26

cant say i notice D's morning grin at 5.30 i dont even make eye contact cos i feel too cross. Why did you wake her ponyo? Are you insane Grin
The swingball makes me giggle, its so random,me and ds3 were playing it and it kept hitting us in the head.
Dh and i are zombiefied on the sofa now haha

ILovePonyo · 04/07/2011 09:58

I knew someone would ask why I woke her, its actually quite selfish - dp was up and about getting ready for work and being generally loud, so I knew I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep Grin

Also her routine is prob (unintentionally) quite strict - if she'd slept til say 8.30 it would mean her last bottle would be at 8.30pm - too late!

chocoroo · 04/07/2011 11:32

Morning all,

Have been MIA all weekend due to birthday celebrations. We had two fab picnics, one at a festival in our local park which was fab. No hangovers all weekend either although expecting one on Weds after champagne.

Will make effort to cat h up now...several pages since my last post! Happy Monday all!

ledkr · 04/07/2011 13:32

Glad you had anice weekend choc
ponyo am impressed with your strict regime.D is being right whingy today, doing my head in.Dh is off and we are led in the garden between sorting outher needs.

WeAreBorg · 04/07/2011 16:43

Wiggles wow and respect to you for coping with that, it's a good thing she's a cutey eh? peanut butter is good too Grin. I'd love Nate to settle in bed with us but he hates it, unless I get out of course. I have now decided that he is a genetically superior baby who has evolved not to need sleep
Emski Ben monkey is a great name!
ledkr am so impressed you work in child protection, that must be the most stressful job in the world, I really wouldn't be able to do it.
ponyo nice compliment! The hair on my head is now falling out and appearing on my arms so I don't think I'll be getting any yummy comments any time soon...

Quick random question, does anyone know which ikea high chair is the one everyone rates?

americanexpat · 04/07/2011 17:47

WeAreBorg - I think it's the Antilop.

reastie - if there's one thing I've learned about babies (in my 20 weeks experience Grin), it's that they defy all logic. You may eventually figure out what her problem is or she might just sort herself out. I hope it's soon for your sake!

wiggles - 4th July just isn't the same without fireworks. If there's one thing Americans do well, it's explosives for entertainment. Grin

L started to stir at 5 again but didn't fully wake until 6. Coincidentally, DH woke me at 5 snoring really loudly (was even wearing earplugs!) and L would fuss a bit every time he snored after that. His allergies have flared a bit the last couple weeks which seems to coincide with the early waking. He gets an ultimatum tonight: allergy meds or the spare bedroom!

ILovePonyo · 04/07/2011 17:48

Borg i think they were being sarcastic Grin The ikea highchair is (i think) the £11 plain white one. Its the one my friend has anyway and she likes it.

I lose about a fistful of hair every day at the moment Hmm

wigglesrock · 04/07/2011 18:48

Borg Its the £11 highchair I'm getting, not sure what its called. I am also still losing a lot of hair, am going to hairdressers tomorrow, thankfully to get rid of the expanse slight amount of grey.

ILovePonyo · 04/07/2011 19:02

Just letting you all know dd is currently asleep on her mat on her tummy - face down in the mat Confused I thought she'd cry when she rolled onto her front but she went to sleep instead.

(I have only cleaned and mn'd today Grin)

WeAreBorg · 04/07/2011 19:51

Thanks girls, will see if I can get DH to go to Ikea, I'm scared of it and he likes the hot dogs.
Ponyo they fancy you! ponyo and chavs up a tree.... Nate rolled off his towel onto his tum today, unlike your DD he didn't drift off to sleep, he just looked panicked, he hates tummy time!

debka · 04/07/2011 20:00

5am start this morning- YAWN!!!! She then went on to have FIVE naps. Imy didn't sleep at all, I'm bloody knackered.

My in-laws have that cheap high chair, it's fine, easy to clean etc.

I bought my first lottery ticket today! Last week I dreamt I bought a ticket, then won, so I thought perhaps it was a premonition... Am all excited!

reastie I think you will just have to roll with it and wait for her to change. She will in time. Must be stressful for you every night though. :(

wigglesrock · 04/07/2011 20:14

Borg I only go to Ikea for the hotdogs and the dime cake Grin I got Anna some really lovely soft rattles from Ikea a few weeks ago- sort of a circus theme, seal with a ball of it nose, elephant on a hula hoop, they are really light and she loves them!!

debka good luck with the Lottery this week, if you win, remember who your friends are Grin

ponyo Sofia always slept on her tummy from the minute she could roll over!

chocoroo · 04/07/2011 20:24

Borg How can you be scared of Ikea? Think of the meatballs. And the candles. And the photo frames. And the kids stuff is so much fun...we used to bypass it but now I legitimately think about buying cuddly sharks.

ponyo V impressed with the sleeping on tummy. r has occasionally dropped off on her side but she is not a fan of being on her front. And yayto being a yummy mummy, I'd glow for days off that compliment!

Deb Oooh, you reminded me I need to go and get a EuroMillions. I never put it on but I reckon a couple of hundred million is worth a pop.

Oh and yy to the hair thing. Mine is all over the house no matter how often I Hoover (therefore I only do it once a week). Am on bridesmaid duty in a couple of weeks and am worried there'll be none left for the hairdresser to put up!

American and Tad Happy 4th July!

Had an early start here thanks to R's new found tricks. She managed to wriggle up to the top of her cot four times and rub her head against the side. Am dreading her properly mastering rolling over - at the mo she only does it on mat or if I put baby wipes just out of reach Confused

Had a mad birthday money shopping spree this afternoon...can't even think about adding up how much I spent. V pleased with new Benefit make up and lush shoes from Oasis though. :)

suzym1984 · 04/07/2011 20:40

Hi!

Just checking in as not posted for a while. Not feeling too great, not sure whats wrong exactly but just feel achey, tired and out of sorts, kind of light headed, weird!

Boooo too all the early rising babies!

reastie I hope you get Alice sorted soon, sounds very frustrating!

H has been sleeping better, but still wakes at 3.30am (time he used to feed) and cries until I go in and rub his tummy. Annoying as I know he doesng need me.

ledkr Ella sounds hilarious, I love hearing all about her.

borg I was laughing at Nate being a wimp...H is exactly the same! Terrified of hand dryers, hoovers, food blender, mens voices (even DH sometimes), having his vest put on, the list is endless. The pet lip comes out and i used to feel sorry for him, now I just laugh!!

H is loving his baby rice and purees, he cant get enough! Has anyone else noticed that the poos are more "solid" now?

Also, has anyone got any experience of Hipp Organic formula? tis the only one H will drink!

ledkr · 04/07/2011 20:42

OOO i love benefit make up.
Dilly has started to go mental in the bath, kicking and splashing like crazy, she pulled the plug out with her feet about ten times, ive never seen anything like it.
My hair has started to slow down on the loss now and im a couple of weeks ahead of most of you,its only because you dont shed hair when pregnant, very normal. My showers are both blocked.
I have lost about 6 pound since starting ww,im really pleased, its not been too painfull,i still had some wine and chocolate at the weekend.
Im reassured to know im not the only one with a nightmare 5am wake up call.I am putting her in her own room on 27th July and intend to turn off the monitor when she starts to stir at 4am cos id hear her cry thru the door and the sensor alarm is tres loud.
Its been really hot here,i sunbathed for most of the day whilst dh sis Dilly duties,he knows not to come between me and the sun and as there is no Mexico this year he's taken pity Grin

ledkr · 04/07/2011 20:44

reastie, how is she tonight,i think as you have tried it all you will have to ride it out like me and my early breakfasts. Maybe mil would like to help haha
