Happy Birthday chocoroo have a lovely day x

Whenever we make animal noises in our house, mind out of the gutter please, we always get stumped at giraffe - end up doing a horsey type click thing, my Jane you're like our very own Johnny Ball, and if one of you young ones ask me who Johnny Ball is, I'm going to get very upset and have a mid-life crisis Grin and no he's not just Zoes dad Grin

Well first official day of the summer holidays and have only had to separate girls once this morning Hmm A slight debacle over Sofias school work, she gets all her exercise books etc home with her at the end of term and loves looking through them again, lets just say Olivia got a little bored Grin

chocoroo · 01/07/2011 09:56

Good work on the Giraffe research Jane I'll feed back to my 19 month old god daughter and expect her to have learnt the various noises by the next time I see her!

And thank you for the birthday wishes. Am being spoilt with champagne tasting on Tuesday night but today I've had some cash, Hollister clothes (love Hollister even though am too old!) and a paddling pool from R! We're off to a mates for a curry this evening. We're going to put the babies to bed and then we'll stay over so we can have some beers :)

wigglesrock · 01/07/2011 09:56

Ps ledkr we had a very early riser here too Shock

Weather lovely here today, off to park then seeing friends. Mr W is on nights all weekend, so at the minute he's hoovering the house, just so he's tired enough for an afternoon nap before he starts Grin

americanexpat · 01/07/2011 09:58

Happy birthday, chocoroo. Er, do all three kidneys work?

Emski - so sorry about your grampy.

Ponyo - I hope your DP is OK.

debka - L has "busy" hands when feeding too - grabbing at my clothes, scratching, etc. It helps a bit if I let him hold my finger.

debka · 01/07/2011 13:08

Happy birthday choc!

ledkr we were right Grin according to jane the duck whisperer they DO eat fish!

Both girls in bed, S is on her 3rd sleep of the day. PLEASE sleep longer than 1/2 an hour...

Think I might log off and close my eyes for a bit.... see you all later..

byronicheroine · 01/07/2011 14:20

Happy birthday, choc may your day be a good 'un! Enjoy your drinks Wink
Did you sleep deb ? I just closed my eyes on the sofa to avoid hoovering catch up a bit.
All my friends seem to be ignoring me so I'll have to wait for DP to get in from work so I can drag him for ice cream :)

ledkr · 01/07/2011 15:00

Just a quickie girls to say i just got Dilly one of those stand in activity centres for half price in elc, maybe worth it if you want one,35 squids.
She is in it now scowling at the piano which she keeps setting off by accident Grin not only did i take the pram on the bus but bought back that in a mahooosive box, guess the prozac is working then.

wigglesrock · 01/07/2011 16:55

ledkr saw that one when I was looking at walkers, it looked like a great buy, well done on the bus and box Grin

Just in from friends - had lovely time but girls knackered, early dinner, bath & bed methinks.

ILovePonyo · 01/07/2011 18:28

Definitely well done on the bus ledkr, I havn't braved the bus yet, been on the tram though. Will have a look at that walker, thanks for that.

jane dp is fine now thanks for asking, it is really bad when its bad but doesn't last for long. Love the animal knowledge, I really like aniaml planet and all those channels but not as knowldgeable as you! More random facts please :)

Well am watching the lovely nadal v grumpy wanker murray match whilst dd sighs and squeals to herself, very funny. Went to baby group again today, she fell asleep halfway through singing again but woke up at the end and met some other babies, she did me proud bless her Grin

Hope everyone has a nice night and you get your ice cream byronic

ledkr · 01/07/2011 18:39

yeah im watching that.Off to mates in a bit tho.
I am a bit scared of confrontation with old people on the bus as they fight me for buggy/trolley space so i made friends with them at the bus stop so they were nice to me, Grin

Four4me · 01/07/2011 19:33

Haven't read all the posts. Feeling terrible have an infected mouth where the tooth was removed. They call it dry socket. Yesterday was awful, dh was in Oxford (we live in North Yorkshire) all day and my mouth and up towards my jaw and ear were painful. Had all four children at home due to teacher strike. Went to dentist this morning and he prescribed some antibiotics. So hopefully they kick in soon. I would have rather given birth yesterday than deal with this pain Sad

Think Murray is on his way home. Don't normally watch tennis but feel to crap to do anything else.

Sorry it's me me me. Hope everyone has a good weekend think the weather is going to be quite good.

janedoe25 · 01/07/2011 19:48

four4me I had that before, you poor thing! It was the sorest thing i have ever had! Hope the anti B's kick in soon.

Df is on a night out with the boys, so its me and the tv, think i will go buy some chocolate Grin

wigglesrock · 01/07/2011 20:17

four4me there is nothing (and I'm including a long back to back labour Grin ) more painful than teeth or ears. Take care, hope dcs look after their mummy x

jane send some chocolate my way, Mr W is on his way to work, girls are in bed and I'm trying to find something, anything to distract me from the mounting pile of bills post that I have been avoiding for the past few days.

debka · 01/07/2011 20:48

44me toothache is definitely worse than labour. I had root canal surgery in Siberia- it took 3 days, and was agonising. Worst part was that the dentist didn't do it properly and I had to have it redone back in the UK.

Just finished my sister's cake and it looks brill- possibly the best one I've done so far :) I'll post a pic tomorrow when the light's better.

bronic I did sleep a bit I think, only 1/2 hr or so but I felt a lot better afterwards. Had a library visit then a couple of lengths in the pool in the afternoon, early night for me tonight methinks.

ledkr I thought my 5.30am start was bad- 4.30 trumps that a million times. Don't you just wish they had a little switch on them to turn them off? Grin

reastie · 01/07/2011 21:10

deb when you say youve just finished your sisters cake do you mean decorate it or eat it?! Grin Wink

ledkr sneaky work on befriending the grannies Grin

44 :( to the toothache - hope you mnage to get some sleep tonight and it gets better soon

question prob mostly to wiggles and ledkr - where can i (pref online) get cheap sylvanian families? I ask you as you have children that I think might be in that age bracket of liking the things. nieces bday soon and I've been asked to gt her this but it's so expensive for what it is [tight wad]

back later gtg

wigglesrock · 01/07/2011 21:17

reastie I don't let dd1 anywhere near Sylvanian families, soooooo dear, money burns a hole in my pocket and I'm the least meanest person I know but I draw the line at Sylvanian familes. Of course she oogles it in the Argos book but I've told her its for over 8s - this is the same excuse I use for Lelli Kellies (sp), ear piercing, Disneyland and Hannah Montana Grin Will have a nosy for you, some of our toy stores are having big sales and are on-line.

debka be a devil and sneak us all a bit of cake, bills are still remaining unopened Grin

wigglesrock · 01/07/2011 21:28

reastie had a nosy - all prices much of a muchness but Sainsburys are having a toy clearance online. There are Sylvanian family sets included - run, run now and log in before all the savvy parents start buying up for Christmas Grin

reastie · 01/07/2011 21:47

wiggles I bow to your amazing googling skills. Thanks - just bought a monkey family ( Confused ) and have told sil to go quick to get all of nieces tat sylvanian stuff there Grin

ledkr · 01/07/2011 23:41

Gosh thats good wiggles,dd had it all 2 xmas's ago we all bought bits even her father stretched to one i think Grin They are lovely but dear and all the little bits are ridiculous, along with the barbie and bratz bits and the dolls hosue bits,i may call my house Bitsville.
Just back from mates house had alovely time but drinking on prozac aint the same, just makes me sleepy, also ended up with Ella there too as her mate is my mates dd so couldnt even have a fag in peace.
Off to sleep now praying that 4.30 was a one off!!

tadjennyp · 02/07/2011 00:58

Hope you are still celebrating your birthday choc and all babies go till at least 7 tomorrow as it's Saturday. My parents last night here tonight so I think I will be a bit down next week. At least dh has Monday and Tuesday off for the fourth of July. Shall be making the most! Night all!

tadjennyp · 02/07/2011 01:00

Sorry 44me - I hope your tooth feels a lot better soon. Whereabouts in N Yorks do you live? I used to live in Tadcaster, hence the name and dd and ds1 were born in York. Sorry if I've missed anyone else.

ledkr · 02/07/2011 07:17

tad thanks for the good wishes D slept till 6.45 can you send sleep wishes everynight please. Seriously i took her in the garden for 20 mins before her bath so early risers please try it def works.

wigglesrock · 02/07/2011 07:49

Morning, ledkr Anna went to 6.30am this morning Grin, must be godfairy tads good wishes. tadjenny you must come on at midnight every night with your sleep spells Grin. Hope you enjoyed your last night with your parents, natural to be teary - glad your dh is off. Have a nice long weekend!

Looks like it going to be a lovely day here, waiting on Mr W coming in from work, might head to my mums later to offload kids help her share in the joy of her granddaughters!!

ILovePonyo · 02/07/2011 08:02

Morning, tadj dd went til 7.15 (with a few dummy runs from 4.30) agree with wiggles and led - more sleep wishes tonight please :) Not surprised you'll be feeling sad when your parents have gone, hope you enjoyed your last evening together.

ledkr shame about just getting sleepy drinking with the prozac, tho if it can make you get on a bus with buggy and boxes thats def a good thing!

wiggles I have a big pile of unopened bills etc, its depressing I don't want to look at them!

Think we're going for bbq at friends today, yum :)

Deliaskis · 02/07/2011 08:31

Sleep wishes to all who need them tonight, but as for C, why does she sleep till after 7 every morning apart from Saturday - before 6 this morning, grrrrrr. I know she can and normally does sleep later, so why only on Saturday? Naughty Claudia.

Baby rice going v well she loves it. Lots of sparrow mouth and grabbing of spoon (and dipping hands in it then in mouth - v messy!).

Have a lovely weekend everyone. We're having friends for dinner tonight. We normally go to Henley Regatta with them but didn't this year because we thought we would be away on holiday (cancelled due to tyre-gate) ,so as it's Henley weekend, I am doing a Henley themeed dinner - salmon starter (which we always have there), duck (as there are ducks on the Thames) and Eton Mess, with lots of Pimms, but not too much, as C will just know, and will wake up early again!
