NoRoosmumAtTheInn · 01/12/2005 13:18

hello all...

sorry to hear abt the fully booked giraffe thingy! but i'm sure you'll have a fab time wherever you go...i'd be so curious to meet everyone

ooh & pizza express do a great egg/spinach pizza, yum (sorry, veggie & maybe have slightly strange taste in pizza!).

& ta v. much to HN for my festive rename was going to be roodolphsmum or something, but think this is better!

futurity - sorry to hear abt your cat, my cat (who was abt 16) was put down last week, with renal failure, such a shame & it was really odd going to my mum's house - which is where she lived - & her not being there...

tipex, what is it you don't like abt MEOS? i have one of them & tbh not my fave nappy either, tho they're ok i suppose. i couldn't recommend a bumble enough tho, we use them at night with an airflow wrap (which you might already have?) & they're great. if you wanted to try something else with cloth, eg at night, i'd def try those out.

SL - what's your best nappy atm? fuzzis still working/leaking??

NoRoosmumAtTheInn · 01/12/2005 13:21

oh & nik, i'm sure that they can have nightmares/bad dreams, a couple of nights ago roo was terrible, waking constantly but soothed as soon you went to him...couldn't figure out at all what was up (not hungry/nappy/don't think teeth), so maybe he'd had a bad dream?? i'm sure i read somewhere that they DO dream at this age, poor babes!

starlover · 01/12/2005 13:23

well i am mainly using tots bots and MEOs right now!

having said that, we have moved into the Latge fuzzi's and they seem better... so either he was getting too big for the mediums or i had just worn them out! lol

have 2 bumbles which i use but they're bulkier than the others... use them at night though, but LInus hates lying still enough for me to nippa/pin them! lol this morning it had all come undone inside the wrap!

glad you liked the christmas name NoRoosmumattheinn !! And I love that spinach and egg pizza BUT (PREPARE FOR [SHOCK]) I always add pepperoni or ham to it AND I have it without cheese . How's that for wierd pizza topping.....

Right have some babies and mums around this afternoon but will then book something once they've gone and before the dinner rush...

NoRoosmumAtTheInn · 01/12/2005 13:34

HN, you are a pizza freak

SL, don't you find tots bulky??

starlover · 01/12/2005 13:35

bulkier than fuzzis etc yeah... but not really a problem.
we started out with nappy nation no-folds which are bulky too, so i guess i am used to them lol!

think the bumbles are bulkier than tots though!

btw... what is the second set of poppers halfway along the bumbles for?

OP posts:
NoRoosmumAtTheInn · 01/12/2005 13:57

think it's for a 2nd booster to popper in (i've noticed them on kittykins) foe extra wetting eg overnight? i've never had a prob yet with them overnight tho. surprised that you think bumble is bigger than tots, if i used a bumble in the day i don't think i'd put a booster, which imo makes quite a slim nappy? or same thing on a tiny baby with top folded over? (on the next one hehe!)

starlover · 01/12/2005 13:59

ahh i see... no, don't use boosters either. it just seems much bigger than the tots

gossifairyonthexmastree · 01/12/2005 14:54

starlover · 01/12/2005 14:56

starlover · 01/12/2005 14:58

OP posts:
gossifairyonthexmastree · 01/12/2005 15:01

oooooooh don't let people on here bother you! life's too short and you are bigger and better and much nicer than them anyways

he he

saintnik · 01/12/2005 15:11

ditto goss. More to life than random people on MN.

This'll make you smile - my sister, who's been on MN 3 days, emailed me this morning to ask me who the hell this grumpy cod person was! PMSL!!!

gossifairyonthexmastree · 01/12/2005 15:12
Grin
HAZELLNUTsroastingonanopenfire · 01/12/2005 16:02

Surely the fact that Cod thinks christmas names are Sh*t is a good enough reason to have one .....

HAZELLNUTsroastingonanopenfire · 01/12/2005 16:15

PS - go check out the meet up thread again - I have had success.....

NoRoosmumAtTheInn · 01/12/2005 16:17

yeah, & get a great big 3 wheeler (as if i'd want anything else!)

gossifairyonthexmastree · 01/12/2005 18:02

sl, misdee has a apology thread for you

futurity · 01/12/2005 18:06

All over now...DH got back about 45 mins ago with big red eyes..not often I see him crying. Apparently she also had fluid on the lungs and was not in a good way (he said she just sat on his lap on the way to the vets..she didn't move at all). He told DS straight away but I think Daddy crying freaked him out and he cried loads and kept saying that "I just don't know!" which he often says when things get too much for him and he ran upstairs. I calmed him down and he's had tea and is ok now. Wonder when he will mention her again? Anyway...off to have a glass of wine and a toast for Suzie.

walkinginawinterBundleland · 01/12/2005 18:07

oh futurity, I'm so sorry

gossifairyonthexmastree · 01/12/2005 18:09

oh futurity, i will toast your family and suzie with my cup of tea (would be wine but i've the flu)

and a hug

HAZELLNUTsroastingonanopenfire · 01/12/2005 18:13
  • will have a toast too for Suzie.
