argh so many messages!
i keep coming and looking, and trying to write a post that acknowledges you all, but i only got in from work at half 8 and am feeling a bit knackered!

angeliz... congrats from me on your other thread! think you saw it already

nik... you sound far too much like me when drunk! lol, have never mentioned fanny seamstresses yet though!!! haha

tipex... hope things look up after christmas! MIL, basingstoke AND bad hair! nooooooooo

my extra working isn't going too well,. My mum has knee probs, operation on 9th Jan, and then probably a partial knee replacement!
so, no-one to look after Linus! ho hum

anyway, hope you all have fantastic christmases, and all the babies love their first experience of it all!

haven't been on here much at all recently due to illness in both DS's...it has been horrendous and our entire house smells of poo (or at least I think so!!). Sam still filling his nappies constantly but eating and drinking fine and crawling and standing and cruising so keeping us busy. Can't believe it is his first Xmas tomorrow!

Happy Christmas to all Feb babies...next will be their 1st birthdays....where's the time gone!?

hello again !!

Survived christmas with MIL despite poorly baby - she sort of rallied for christmas day although wouldnt' really eat. She has know passed it on to me of course !! Now down at my parents so able to sneak onto computer !

WOW WOW WOW Angeliz - Am Soooo happy for you - what a great christmas pressie. V. exciting !

Tipex, know what you mean about the excess of pressies - have just sent my brother off with a key on his way home from my parents to drop a load of presents off at ours which won't fit in our car, despite it being an estate..... Oh well - its great everyone has thought of her/us.

Righty ho - not sure when I will back on again as need to get computer mended so Happy New Year everyone - wishing you all lots and lots of happiness (and pregnancies for those who want them) !!!!!

Glad you all had a nice Christmas and hope poorly babies are on the mend Tipex, it does dwindle off after the first year and the novelty wears off.

I had a bledd over Christmas (tiny one) and rang the EPU for advice and they said to go to A+E and get reffered.
Short version is, i went on boxing day for scan and they saw nothing but levels are right for about 5 weeks. I had to go bacj today and they sacnned again and saw nothing again but still positive test and fluid in pouch of Douglas which may mean i have ectopic pregnancy. I am so gutted i can't even say. It may all be o.k and just early but it's less and less likely i think as they didn't even see sac!
I can't stop crying and feel really down about ti all. Especially not knowing. Today they were talikng about follow up procedures if a have misscarried and i burst into tears and just wanted to scream 'you don't KNOW that yet it may be fine!'

I am NEVER doing anything again before 6 weeks as basically it's snowballing and i should have just waited .............
Sorry to depress you all and i know it's not the right place but i haven't even told anyone else!

hello everyone!
we had a lovely christmas... and yes, tons of presents here too! having specifically asked for NO huge bits of plasticky crap we now have a room-full! hurrah!
Linus loves it all though, and dp and I have had some lovely time to relax while he plays with all his new stuff.

We now have almost 4 teeth!

oh angeliz i'm so sorry you must be devastated

I had an early miscarriage before I fell pregnant with Linus.
I also had a bleed early on with him and was so sure it was happening again. They did an internal scan and saw the sac and said i was about 6 weeks! obviously all ended well... so hope the same happens for you

am crossing everything and hoping for a positive outcome!

I think it's horrible when you lose a baby early because a lot of people seem to think it doesn't matter that much because it was so early iyswim? but it doesn't make it any less painful for you.

So sorry to hear how things have gone, Angeliz and am keeping fingers crossed it turns out ok. .

We had a nice Xmas and minimal plastic tat - hooray!! I enjoyed boxing day more, though, as it was quieter with no food preparation etc and only immediate family. Dd was ill over the weekend and got a temperature during Xmas dinner, poor thing! She seems back to normal today. Definitely a lot of viruses out there at the moment. Poor futurity - does your house smell better now?? Colds are fine really compared to dealing with diarrhoea.

Went sales shopping today - bought one thermal top for me and LOADS of clothes for dd - oops, spoilt child.....

Angeliz so sorry to hear what you are going through, fingers crossed that the outcome is still a good one.
We had a good xmas, dd got so many presents it was embarrassing. Front room now looks like a toy shop!

We're doing NOTHING for NY. I hate it, it's a total waste of time. Bah, humbug!!!!

Mind you, the cottage in the country sounds nice.

gossifairyonthexmastree · 29/12/2005 17:45

oh nik, i hate NY too, this is the first time (apart from hols abroad) that we are doing my dream, lovely meal and wine and friends, no expectations, queues, pissheads (except the chosen ones )
hate the hype

apparently it's snowing where the cottage is too!

Hello all
We're back in the UK finally
Spent yesterday in a sleep deprived haze
DS finally went to sleep around midnight but slept until midday

We are doing nothing for NYE
Hopefully have some nice food at home and relax

Xmas was pretty dull. Mil served the same meal 3 days running and didn't buy any presents for DS
She gave him a piece of wood!!!!!!!
Luckily I expected this so it wasn't a shock!

However he seemed pleased with his retro gift from us chatter phone
