I really want to go to CP, will have to go in the autumn once DH gets more leave.
dh happy, happy wedding day for tomorrow!
Sorry to all those of you going through nursing strikes, I'm wondering if S isn't weaning himself off. He's had 3 feeds today and all very, very short. I hate it when they stop but once you get into the swing of things you remember how nice it is to own your boobs...
I'm quiet at the mo because DH is on leave this week and we're 'sorting the house' again and I'm trying to paint some wall canvas things for the children's room. I spent all day making a fabric hot air balloon and sticking it onto a canvas - I'm quite proud of myself cos I'm not remotely crafty/creative but it looks pretty good. Still got a flock of geese, a huge balloon and 2 clouds to do so I'll most likely be a bit quiet til I've finished!

Trudyla · 16/06/2011 22:08

Happy wedding day tomorrow DH. We'll all be thinking of you.

Evening all. Just quickly popping on to wish DH all the best for tomorrow! Grin I'm keeping my fingers crossed for sunshine in your area, but I'm sure it'll be a wonderful day regardless of what the weather does.

I'm heading off in the morning to the meetup at Centre Parcs for my romantic weekend spa holiday so won't be around much/at all for a few days.

kkfairybrains · 16/06/2011 23:12

viksam · 17/06/2011 07:24

Morning all,
Well its looking pretty over cast here, i hope its a bit better later on for DH Wonder what she's doing, hope D slept for them.
Im feeling apprehensive about this morning, sooner its over the better, and then i want my test results back, once its all back and hopefully good i can start telling people that this fat belly that i have been trying to cover up is not just too many pies!! I am also very excited though and carefull not to wish it away this time as this really will be the last time!!
I didnt tell the boss stac and im glad i didnt now, i have only told two people in RL so plenty to tell once i know all is well. DH has told quite a few, i dont mind cos they are nothing to do with me, just strange that they tend to tell more people. needles when are u going to go to the MW? Have u told anyone yet?
trudy how far along are u now? Im wondering what it will be like to pick D up and stuff with a big belly?! I have two conversations with people about age gaps, one has a brother 15 months older than him and he says they were and still are the best of friends, lovely. And the other was a mother with two girls with a 15 month gap, she says that they are really good friends too and that their friends are all friends even though they are in different years at school, both stories really nice and positive.
mylife have a great time this weekend, hope u get some R&R at CP see u there Wink
chu sounds lovely what ur making, i might be a bit more crafty for the new babys room, would like to think of a theme but cant think of one any nicer than D's which is seaside and i love it.
woodlands hows the cat?
tsc what u going to do about nurserys?
Question for those of us bottle feeding, are and LO'S having any milk from a cup yet, im not syre if i should try D with a cup for his 2.30 botte feed?? He has 7oz morning and night and about 5oz at 2.30, just a bit concerned that if i mess with it he might not have it and they are still saying it should be 20oz a day atm??

malibustac · 17/06/2011 08:18

Morning

mlic great sleep sounds like a busy weekend for you. At least you have CP to relax in afterwards.

viks what tests you getting? R takes 8oz at 5am then 8 about lunchtime then 8oz at bedtime. She drinks water from her cup but I haven't tried milk. I suppose I better try.

Well madam is still sleeping from 9pm last night think all the fresh air is knocking her out. My friend and I walked for 2hours yesterday so she was out loads.

memphis83 · 17/06/2011 08:19

vik L wont use a cup for anything, my doc has said forget guidelines if a bottle indicates milk to him it wont do much harm a few times a day, i had a bottle til i was .....4.5 Shock for juice as a couldnt swallow quick enough to not get it everywhere and my teeth and speech are fine(well no problems that would be caused by a bottle) and I had it hanging from my chops 90% of the day!!
L is still asleep!!!! he is sleeping so well at the moment, dh is going Ireland with work next Sunday for the week, im dreading it allready!!
Its my best friends birthday on Monday so we are out Saturday for a curry and drinks but im going to drive I cant justify a £25 taxi on top of a curry plus being fathers day I want to bright eyed and bushy tailed as for dh's dad we are all going to a stram rally (oh joy)

Woodlands · 17/06/2011 08:31

Good luck for the scan today Viksam!

The cat's tail still looks a bit oozy at times, hopefully it'll heal up soon.

I'm thinking of DH though I don't suppose she'll be on this morning.

Spent the afternoon yesterday with two friends with babies of similar ages, both of him still BF a LOT including all through the night. One of them (who has just turned one) is only just beginning to eat the tiniest amounts of solids now, so is still BFing every 1.5 hours or so day and night. He is also incredibly clingy and she can't put him down at all really. I felt bad moaning about anything to do with J to them as he is really a dream baby compared to theirs, sleeping through the night and everything. Somehow it doesn't always feel like that!

Trudyla · 17/06/2011 08:43

She's getting married in the morning... Finally, Happy Wedding Day dh

Nice sleep there MLIC. Good plans for the weekend, but what will you do next week? Any plans? You didn't say Grin

Good luck with the scan viks. It will be good to see the little baba. I'm 20+5 today and my belly is quite big already. Can't remember how big it was at that time with M. M wants to be carried all the time at the moment and if I don't carry her she won't stop crying. So I'm just ignoring the doctor's orders of not carrying anything. I mean, what can I do? Not sure why she said that anyway, whether it's just the general advice which I don't give a toss about, or whether it's the same reason why I'm not allowed to exercise, which is because the placenta is rather close to the baby. I don't know, but I'm not in pain, and I can't not lift her and carry her, so there you go.

cake When are you going on holiday? Envy It's gonna be quiet if it's next week, what with Mlic away and chulita crafting (not remotely crafty my arse).

WSS One more sleep till your big day (or at least here it is, if it's the next day where you are already, then HAPPY BIRTHDAY!). Are you up for going out or are you still sleep deprived?

spirael Have a great time spaing.

stac How long were you awake for last night? So annoying when that happens, isn't it. Great sleep for R though. Well done. Is she sleeping in the living room now?

Had a shit day yesterday. Our plan of getting M to play more on her own, while I do some housework (in the same room) is soo not working. She screamed and cried the entire time I put laundry up and loaded the dishwasher today. I was in tears by the end too and the result was that she (and I) were miserable all day. If I knew that things will get better I might feel better about sticking with it. But she seems so stubborn that I'm not sure it will ever improve. So I'm almost inclined to say, in the interest of a happy baby and a happy mummy (but an untidy house) I should just do whatever she wants. Though this would include never changing, dressing, washing or feeding her or cleaning her teeth, cos she hates all of that and screams. Oh well, today is a new day.

Have a good one all.

Chulita · 17/06/2011 09:14

Good luck with the scan viksam! It's only right to be a little worried about things.
I'll post pics of the wall things once I've done them.

HAPPY WEDDING DAY DH! Hope you have a fantastic day and honeymoon :)

stac that's a long old lie in for R, hope you made the most of it!

mlic where are you going? anywhere nice? Wink I'm seriously jealous btw

Hope those cupcakes turn out delicious for you memphis otherwise I'll make up a batch for you and you can get them when next week at cp

memphis83 · 17/06/2011 09:33

Saw mlics fathers day present what is everyone else doing, just got the present delivered for dh and although I know he will like it it looks shit, he loves new routes on his bike and mulls over the internet looking for routes so I got him a weathjerproof map of the uk that has all best bike routes marked out, it cost £15 but looks like a free suppliment i feel really disappointed!!!
