OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
memphis83 · 27/06/2011 20:51

spirael don worry no one will panic as cakes isnt here!!
I have made use of my family the last 2 days as from now im on my own as they are all at work!! dh's mum is at work, as is his sister (not that they do anything) and his dad is on his holidays, I feel quite on top of things, ive just hoovered and had a bath which are two things I never usually do when he is away and ive watered the garden 2 nights on the trot!! I will attempt to iron tomorrow and work my way through the ebay stuff tomorrow when L naps!

Chulita · 27/06/2011 20:58

I use reusables needle but there is a nappy chat place here, hang on... www.mumsnet.com/Talk/nappies_potty_training_etc I love my cloth nappies Grin

trudy if we sign off he won't have to go away again, we're getting more and more convinced that this job isn't for us. If he stays in it's guaranteed he'll be off at some point. It's very scary though the thought of leaving!

S has never been a good eater so I can't help either I'm afraid on that point.

Chulita · 27/06/2011 21:00

Off to bed now, didn't get my kip earlier in the day and my head is pounding. If you've got any nappy questions needle feel free to ask.
Goodnight!

Grin I made my own curry sauce in the end, I'd have eaten it but DH is a touch sensitive.

memphis83 · 27/06/2011 21:18

come on then ladies less than 20, we need a new thread?? spirael come back we need a witty name for the thread!!
mlic I agree with the preschool at 3 comment, wish we could afford the local private school, would never ever happen though! Im sure as needle says he is just frustrated, once he is really walking and talking he will calm down a bit???

Here's a thread title: "July 2010: Cake would kill us if she knew we'd let the thread run out in her absence"

Memphis thank you! that website looks really good. I'm chuffed about the Start Rites too- although they aren't like the Mary Janes I used to wear as a kid, they've all got bits on!

Chulita what kind of nappies/ wraps do you use? I've been using the bog standard boots plastic pants, but I'm starting to think I ought to shell out for some good wraps. Thing is, G's poos are still really runny all the time and her nappy can barely contain them, which means every other morning she wakes up in a sh*y bed.

memphis83 · 27/06/2011 21:50

needle she is lovely and they are happy to answer your calls for advice too. The girls shoes are lovely, the boys are so plain, his at the minute are t bar with a buvkle so look quite traditional, and his second pair I like little brogues, I will later go to canva shoes as the soles seem so hard on the boys as they get bigger!
mlic Im starving this diet is shit, Ive had a cup a soup that was chicken flavoured water and Lyndon ate my last slice of bread! all I have in the fridge is butter, milk, a muller rice, and some pickle! I dont usually shop when dh is away but ive ran out of sugar and washing up liquid!!

It's a fairy hardcore diet Memph, even by my standards! A muller rice wouldn't kill you hun. Saying that, I'm hardly one to lecture on sensible dieting, given that I lived for six months on tea and cigarettes, with the occasional glass of millk. (now there's a diet that works!)

memphis83 · 27/06/2011 22:00

needle it needs to be evaluated, a didnt realise a cupasoup was so.....watery! Im doing pasta with a tomato sauce, I cant drink milk and could only live on tea with cookies so that wouldnt work, I may have to look at smart lipo to get rid of the muffin top!!

Oh god i know about that hanging out of the leg thing. I too just ignore her when i know there's nothing wrong with her.
Not really feeling better but thanks for asking mlic. How about you? starting to feel really down too. Really hoping it's pre menstrual feelings and if it is i'm gonna have to get something done cos every month i get worse and worse. Took the stuff but still feel the same. I'm that bad that dp said why don't i go and stay in a hotel at the weekend by myself for some alone time but don't know if that would do me any good.
Trudy E is just the same with food. She barely eats anything sometimes. She just grazes all day and it's just bread and yogurt and bread and banana and bread that she eats. The child just loves bread. I've started making mybown brown bread actually that has no flour in it and its quite nice and she loves that.
Hope you get a good sleep chul
how is G wss?

Needle · 27/06/2011 22:06

lol, tbh TSC it's not an eco thing, but a money thing- I don't like shelling out for pampers when I've got a stack of terrys which my mum uses for me when I was a baby! I stick her in a disposable for things like long car journeys, and sometimes for bed because I just don't trust my folding. My midwife said something about the gels in nappies not being tested when G was about 4 days old and it's freaked me out ever since. She said that no one had really studied the long term effects of nappy gels on babies and that she was convinced modern nappies would have an effect on fertility. Now, realistically, I know she was probably a mental, but in my newly postnatal brain, that scared the c**p out of me.

Cakes would be freaking by now we only have a few messages left and no thread title. Think it will be the birthday one. Only crap I could come up with is 'july 2010 the first birthdays have arrived! Hip hip Hoorah!!

tsc well done c and the diving. Was this F's first time at swimming?

kk do you think the way your feeling is linked to the near miss? Kindof a delayed reaction? What did you take to calm you?

needles I think kitty is pretty. Sorry don't know anything about nappies.

mlic I'm with you on the side stepping, stepping overhead when they are trying to get hold of your trousers. Its a pain in the ass!

Needle · 27/06/2011 22:19
