Wow dh I'm getting all nervous and excited on your behalf now. Great news about the weather. Am so pleased for you!

needle How are you feeling?

MLIC I'm so sorry about E's accident. I can imagine how you feel cos just reading it made me feel horrible and scared, never mind having it actually happen and seeing it. How is he this morning?

Well done on the weight loss stac. It's true, the slower it comes off, the longer it's likely to stay off. Keep at it.

viks Good luck with the scan tomorrow. Let us know how it goes.

Hi chulita nice to have you back. Do you speak any more languages? I seem to remember you saying you stayed in Mexico for a while? So do you speak Spanish as well?

How are things kk? Are you still running?

Hope your cat will be better soon woodlands

cake Did you go to book group in the end? Don't blame you if you didn't. I'm really looking forward to watching The Apprentice on Iplayer tonight.

Well, M slept till 9 today Shock from 7:30 last night. (I know it's not 9 in the UK yet, but we're an hour ahead). It shows though that waking up at 7 is completely down to our horrible, noisy, selfish, wanky upstairs neighbours. They weren't there this morning, so she had a lie in.

I hope you are all very proud of me for having cooked a proper evening meal without fucking it up for three days in a row now. I decided it's ridiculous that I can't cook so will try and cook every night now. Have a nice meal plan, inspired my MLIC, the plan, not the meals, I started with fairly easy stuff. I'm feeling all virtous and housewifey Grin

No plans for today, probably library and toy library and trampolines.

What are you all up to?

Woodlands · 16/06/2011 09:07

wow trudy, what a great sleep! I thought J had done well last night, sleeping from 7.10pm to 7.40am! I still can't get over having a baby who sleeps through, it has just transformed my life to be getting a full night's sleep every night. I'm sure it will all go to pot with the next batch of teething/cold etc.

How exciting DH! Hope today doesn't drag too much...

So sorry about your cat Viksam, hope she picks up soon.

DesperateHousewife21 · 16/06/2011 09:16

D woke up every hour, Im going to look great in my wedding photos arent i? Hmm

I think today will fly by, Ive got so much to do. Loads of packing and getting everything over to my mums ready to take to the golf club tomorrow morning.

CakeandRoses · 16/06/2011 09:19

yup, stayed in to watch the apprentice trudy Blush It was a good one too!

do you have any symptoms yet needle?

did you make the banana bread mlic? not sure what i'll bake today, maybe my super-sticky date cake.

chul to be fair, tsc's house is sporting bin liners for curtains so nappies for beds is a distinct possibility Wink

kept meaning to say nice one to you alb re handing out the invitations at your group. it's really good that you pushed yourself to do that even tho you were feeling nervous about it. i'm sure you'll start to make some friends there soon - you come across as a good'un, i'd snap you up Smile. In the meantime, you can join chul in my Fantasy Friends list Grin

I'm trying to make the most of potentially the last few weeks of days with just A Sad Meeting a friend (and her 18mo) for lunch today, i will so miss this leisurely time when i'm back at work and then have both F & A on my days off.

think she might be teething again, she was quite upset just now which is not like her at all. great - just in time for hols...

A's just started standing for longish stretches - do they start walking soon after that usually or could it still be a while? i can't remember.

Hi ladies.

dh so excited for you!

I don't have any symptoms at all, I just feel really bloated. I don't know whether I can keep shredding while i'm pregnant, but this bloated feeling is so horrible. I never really had many symptoms with G either, and I am only 4 weeks along, so it's still very early days. I took G to the Dr yesterday and he wrote me out a referral to st Thomas' at the same time. He said he'd never had anyone ask him about home births before and seemed quite shocked, but it worked so well for me last time that I'd like to do it again if possible. H got really drunk yesterday and told loads of people, which i'm a little cross about but I am glad that he's so pleased. We've already got our names sorted for this time round, so at least that's one less thing to worry about!

I've made banana bread today cake but not a vegan one, I made Nigella's and put chocolate in it. Do you use vegan chocolate in yours?

Slimeface still had a rotter of a cold. She coughed all night, and has a streaming Snotty nose, but is a bit more cheerful today.

Albrecht · 16/06/2011 14:00

viksam woodlands Sorry to hear about the cats.

stac Glad you got some good stuff happening round yours.

Needle Woooo! Congratulations! I hope you have an easy pregnancy. Shame about all the lovely food though. I'm sure I read you can eat nice cheese if its cooked as heat kills any lysteria? I'm a scaredy cat though so don't think I did ever have any with ds.

MLIC How awful for you and E. Hope he's okay today and you've recovered from the shock.

Cake Its horrible when they don't seem bothered about seeing them, especially on a birthday. Rant away. And that's a lovely thing to say about fantasy friends, thank you! I think we should have a joint imaginary 1st birthday party. After all my plucking up of courage, the baby group lot have organised a night out for the same day as our party and I don't think people will come to both. Wish I hadn't started this

Had support group today and did NOT go to the sauna. Glad I didn't as the throwing boy was there again picking on every child. I did stick up for him at one point as the staff just assumed it was him who had snatched a toy but once it was actually the other way around. Feel a bit sorry for him as he obviously has a reputation. I would not do that job for anything.

Bethan is not well she has a temperature and really red cheeks I wonder if she may finally be teething every so often she just cries out like she's in pain :(

She's also on a nursing strike this is the second day now that I just can't get her to feed. I'm getting really panicky about it and am hoping this isn't the end of our breastfeeding for her :( dh is not being very supportive as the physio has already told me to stop a couple of months ago but I really wanted to at least get to her first birthday.

Dylan had his sports day today he didn't win so never got a sticker which he was a little upset about I think they could at least of given the losing kids a well done fortaking part sticker at the end but that's probably just ne being a little bit pfb :o

needle congratulations!

dh You must be so excited now. I'm excited for you. I will be thinking of you at 3 tomorrow :o

Everyone is having a shitty afternoon then?

ds has been crying at every little thing. 10 minutes ago he was crying about dropping a can of tomatoes on his foot and on cue a mirror and a load of plastic plant pots fell on his head! Put him in the sling to calm down and now he's fallen asleep. Don't know whether to make dinner or what. Confused

MLIC confiscating trike sounds a good plan, maybe he will come back to it new and ride it properly if it goes for a while. Hope W is ok too. You must be exhausted after all this adrenaline!

tsc Sucks about the wall. Can you ignore it for a while or is it a health hazard? What is dp's solution re the nursery then? Just saying he's gone off it is not helpful is it?

He's actually crying in his sleep now...

Albrecht · 16/06/2011 18:08

Dylthan Not you too! Has she gone off bf for other teeth? My top tip for nursing strike is feeding when they are sleepy either before or right after nap.

Dylthan · 16/06/2011 18:12

She's 1 on the 31st of july. I know it will be fine my sil is pregnant and having an awful time trying to stop feeding my dn so your right at least I won't have to go through all of that.

I just didn't expect it to come to such an abrupt end one day she was feeding fine and the next she's screaming every time I try and feed her :(

Is there any way to salvage this or do I just have to accept that this is it :(

Dylthan · 16/06/2011 18:16

Oh no albrecht how's his head now? Is he coming down with something Dylan always cries at the slightest little thing when he's feeling a little poorly.

Bethan currently has no teeth so I'm only guessing that she's teething.

WhatSheSaid · 16/06/2011 18:24

Dylthan it's weird when they stop bfing so suddenly (if she has), my dh wasn't terribly supportive either...and G was 10 months and I had planned on stopping around one but it was still v weird and emotional to stop so suddenly.

mlic glad E is still happy to ride bikes

tsc shit luck about the wall

Got to go

Woodlands · 16/06/2011 19:22

crap about the wall tsc.

dylthan no advice on nursing strikes I'm afraid, maybe ask on the BFing board? are you all engorged?

J is teething like mad, he's been a right grump all afternoon, all rosy cheeked and clingy and whiny. I think I can feel a sharp corner of his first top tooth cutting though.
