aw stac hope you start to feel an improvement soon.
melissa the poor little mite. can't be nice for him at all. anti b's make everyone feel crap and then they're not even clearing it
mlic that sounds like such a nice day! hopefully the sea air will make them have a good long sleep. we never appreciate what's closest to us! in the county that i live in there's a lake for every day of the year (365!) and they're all gorgeous but i never ever go to them!

cakes your house looks so gorgeous in the pics Envy
my car is done!!!!!!!!!!yahooooo!! i love it!
E is here laughing at dp when she should be asleep and oh my god she has the dirtiest laugh!
enjoy the baby shower dh! the wedding is so close to her due date! fingers crossed she doesn't go early! is this her first baby?

malibustac · 09/06/2011 20:29

Thanks dh she is being kept in for tests and to raise her oxygen levels. Baby shower sounds lovely, I'm sure your sis will love it.

memphis83 · 09/06/2011 20:56

stac oh I hope you feel better soon, I hope they get you as good group the one I got put on was groups of below 10 people , they provided creche and if you dont drive a taxi, its run by homestart and called mums in mind, I hope they have the same thing up there.
mlic I still dont feel sorted, I told my support worker yesterday that the only reason I havent topped myself is I hate my body image so much I wouldnt want to look like this when I die, i gave her this look :( and she looked at me in Shock
cakes its a homestart volunteer, she is 62 and lovely, I didnt realise she helps at out family group on a friday so we know her already.
kk fellow petrol head wanting pics of the motor!!!!
dh you should befo be telling dp to buy you something nice!!! hope the baby shower goes well and that it doesnt send her into labour with the shock!!
needle dont worry your not the only one who had a prom I had one but I weirdly look about 40 on it eventhough I was 17!!!

kkfairybrains · 09/06/2011 21:08

i had a prom too actually. well debs it's called here! i loved it and it's been done here for years. can't put up pics though as i dont have a scanner! will post a pic of the car tomorrow when it's bright. took one today to send to my brother but i'll get a better one tomorrow
memph that's really sad :( you really don't come across like that and seem cheerful so it's really suprised me that you feel so bad about yourself. and being completely honest i really can't see why cos you always look lovely in your pictures that i've seen. wish there was something i could say or do to make you feel better.
stac did they say anything about the group today?

viksam · 09/06/2011 21:24

Hello all,
stac Im so bummed out that u feel poo, im not suprised that lack of sleep has caused a dip but at least ur recognising it and dealing with it, i relly hope u feel better soon!!
kk Im feeling ok thanks, my boobs are sore today though and i seriously cant stop eating! Im gona be the size of a house. My scan is on the same day as DH wedding, the 17th! So while im shitting myself in the wating room i can just think about DH and wonder what she is doing!
trudy whan are u thinking of moving?
Albrecht I cannot offer advice re sleep, D is crap, the only reason he woke as late as 5.55 this morning was because he was awake for an hour in the night!! Rahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! Im off to bed now coz if i stay up i will just get more and more anxious about what tonights offering will be!
cake I am so envious of 'off to bake a fruit cake' why cant i just pop off and produce something lovely, how do u get the time????? Im so busy catching up with jobs/house work etc when im home i cant imagine when i would do it. I havent even used my slow cooker yet. Anyone (cake/mylife/Chu) got a SIMPLE (as in a 12 yo could do it) recipe for chilli or spag bol that i can do in the slow cooker, remember now, im a total idiot in the kitchen but really want to learn!
BED..........IM COMING!!!

Albrecht · 09/06/2011 21:39

Just wanted to say your babies are all beautiful! Not really sure who is who yet though...

Off to bed too. See you very late tomorrow... hopefully.

malibustac · 09/06/2011 21:55

memph I thought things had improved for you. What about the new meds? Anytime you want chat let me know this pnd is bollocks!

Thanks viks better to deal with it sooner than later eh? Can't wait to hear about your scan and dh's wedding, a lot going on next week

kk the hv cancelled at 9.20 this morning so she never told me anything but she is supposed to be coming tomorrow.

albrecht we can do the rl intro's on the group for you if it helps?

Dps mum is currently being nebulised and is on constant oxygen. I hope they give her a proper look over as she weighs little over 6st, has had constant chest infections since xmas, is losing her appetite and to be honest her memory sometimes. We've also been told his aunt has the early onset if dementia. No wonder I feel anxious. Maybe I should stay away instead of bumming you guys out.

WhatSheSaid · 09/06/2011 22:01

Noooooooo, don't stay away stac, no one wants that. We're here for the crap times as well as the good!

Albrecht there was an introductions thread on the fb group but the format has changed and I'm not sure where it is on there now...anyone?

(Confession: I still get a bit mixed up sometimes with who is who re real life names and thread names...but maybe that's just me...)

kkfairybrains · 09/06/2011 22:24

aw stac :( you poor thing you have so much going on at the minute and you seem so down. don't stay away. ranting and talking about things on here helps and that's what the thread is for so please stay put. you're good enough to listen and give advise to everyone else so we'll do the same for you x
viks thats very exciting about the scan. bet you can't wait!

CakeandRoses · 09/06/2011 22:37

just a flying post as attempting to find a suitable holiday for the 10000th time. i have linked to the intros at the top of the group wall

stac sounds awful for you there Sad. really hope your antiDs kick in and you start to feel better. re my Q as to what's up, i know you have pnd, i meant are they assuming the other symptoms are due to that plus sleeplessness?

keep talking to us, Dr Cake's orders, ok?

OP posts:
malibustac · 09/06/2011 23:15

Sorry cakes I had been feeling great for ages so the doc suggested I half the anti-ds I was a bit worried but thought I should go for it. Then rileighs sleeplessness just got continuously worse and there have been a few other things like dps mum being ill so it all just got on top of me. Think I may have lowered the tabs too soon. I am glad to say R is settling into a routine of sorts so hope that means I do too.

Thanks kk and wss. wss your not the only one who gets mixed up with thread and RL Smile. How's the girls colds?

Forgot in all my doom and gloom that R has 2 more top teeth just popped.

WhatSheSaid · 09/06/2011 23:57

A's cold not too bad thanks but G is just awful still. She woke at 5 and I had to put her back to bed at 7 because she was hysterical. Her conjunctivitis is thankfully starting to get better but she is still sooo miserable with the cold. Yesterday evening was a shocker - she moaned/cried for two hours before bedtime despite me holding her continually.

And today it is pouring down with torrential rain so I am making a list of things to do to keep them entertained...at the moment A is drawing on balloons, she is being brilliant thankfully...I don't know what I'd do if they were both crying all the time.

CakeandRoses · 10/06/2011 00:13

Survived bedtime hell mlic?

albrecht people are gonna talk - we're in the veggie, anti-ironing AND the too-soft-for-cc corner too. Fwiw, I had a traumatic birth with F and it may well be why I worry so much about him too. He was a fuck-awful sleeper but we got there in the end, just takes a bit longer/more patience if you've only got lentil weaver methods at your disposal. Presume you've already tried shush/pat and pick up/put down? We used the former with F, the latter didn't work (or my back would have been ruined before it did).

vik I reckon mlic might be best bet for a chilli/spag bol recipe, whilst I'm the Don of pasta recipes, she's in the mince AND the slow cooker corners!

Re baking a cake, when you bake regularly it doesn't seem a big thing as everything's organised - takes a couple of mins to get implements and ingredients out and maybe 10 mins to make it, after that it's just a case of keeping an eye on it but not time consuming at all! Aurelia usually sits in her booster seat shrieking and bouncing around whilst I bake.

Think we're going to Sicily now - we've considered half the flipping world, it's ridiculous.

Will catch up more in morning. Sleeeeep.

Chulita · 10/06/2011 06:23

Ack! 5.20 this morning and as an extra kick in the fricking teeth, AF is back. 1st child-free night in 2 years and it decides to show up today Angry frick frick frick

Chulita · 10/06/2011 06:29

stac have you upped the ad's again then? I agree with everyone else, don't stop posting. We're not here just to hear people singing about how great their lives are, we're here to support each other through whatever we're struggling with. Hopefully R will start sleeping through/til later, the world is easier to handle on a good night's sleep. Sorry to hear about your dp's mum and aunt, must be very difficult for you both. I hope you get some good news about them soon.

memphis just remember that it's not you thinking that way about yourself, it's the pnd. You will come through this and out the other side, glad that you got on with the volunteer so well :)

cake I am beyond jealous that you're going on holiday, we've not been on a proper getaway for years. I made that tahini cake yesterday, tastes moreish but in a funny kind of way. It's a bit claggy/stick-to-the-roof-of-your-mouthy but for some reason I polished off two slices without realising it. S liked it and he's the one I made it for really but I'm not sure I'll make it again cos DH doesn't like it so we're have to eat the lot between us - gutted! Grin

Chulita · 10/06/2011 06:31

viks I don't have a slow cooker so I've no idea. In another week or so you should be through the absolutely shattered stage and get a bit more energy!

dh hope the baby shower goes well, I never had one for either and am always jealous of people who get them, the more presents the better imo!

oh bless naughty for saying that, he clearly knows how to make you feel guilty, I slow cook all ingredients and then about an hour or so before I fry the mince and then add it to the slow cooker, mince just tastes fatty to me, the only time I eat it in is a shepherds pie as I hate iveg mince in them!!
Im really struggling to find dh something for fathers day, He loves pie more than life so im taking him to a 'gourmet' pie and mash restaurant I have found a bikers atlas I know he will love but want to get him something special to keep too but cant find anything, ive done the pictured mug for work, a daddy book and things like that before!

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/06/2011 08:40

1 week to gooooo!! Ive been checking weather websites though and its forecast to rain :( alot can change in a week and I hope it does. Rain is the last thing I want, its supposed to be a heatwave this month, ha!

Chulita · 10/06/2011 09:03

It pissed it down on our wedding day but strangely enough we still enjoyed it Wink I'll cross my fingers for you dh

memphis I hope you find something, I'm not much good at getting DH presents, he's really hard to buy for cos he likes upgrading pcs and martial arts.

mlic poor little E! Is he usually alright once he's there though? I'm dreading leaving my lovely little L at nursery, I've not even got her booked into one yet since January is so far away. I doubt I'll get a space at the good ones with such 'short' notice. Maybe I'll have to keep her here til school Grin

Trudyla · 10/06/2011 09:08

Blimey you've been chatty. I like it though, better than a quiet thread. No way I can catch up though, so I will just have to come in with stupid questions if you talk about old stuff.

Anyway, anyone else pregnant yet?

viksam We are thinking about moving in about a years time so when the new baby will roughly be 6 months old.

chulita I know it's quite exciting having reduced the search volume and looking only in certain areas rather than in two countries.

cake and stac I'll pm you the location. Never sent a pm before, so let me know if it doesn't work.

mlic Not sure about cutting out dairy yet. I think I will wait till she's a year old so I don't feel too bad about substituting her formula with rice and oat milk. Good news that noisy seems to tolerate the dairy.

Met my friend and dragon girl yesterday. M. didn't cry as much as last time, so that's progress. Also dragon girl's mum took M. off me and just walked around the playground with her, quite far away. She didn't cry or look for me once and it was probably around 10 minutes. Yey, yey, yey. More progress.

Here's a question. How do you encourage crawling? M. can do it now but hates, hates, hates it. She was sitting with us on the blanket all the time yesterday while dragon girl crawled away like crazy. Only when I put my mobile phone down did M finally crawl to get it but she moaned all the way. She always moans or cries when crawling. Is that normal? I'm getting a bit worried that she is getting too chubby. She is nearly half a stone heavier than dragon girl (who has food issues and is really really tiny, so not really a valid example, but still). I'm worried that I'm overfeeding her what with her not moving much.

Lovely weather here. Will meet some friends later. What has everyone else got planned?
