Happy Burfday Wiggles!
Ledkr, what has happened to D?! Do you think she was overtired from not napping much yesterday? Noah always sleeps worse if he hasnt napped enough in the day. Noah woke at 6 so i brought him into bed hoping to persuade him to go back to sleep but he was having none of it!
Dh getting up at 4.30 all week, and no matter how quiet he tries to be he's still really noisy! Ledkr, he still goes to bed late, or comes to bed with tea and biscuits, slurp, slurp, crunch, crunch, and keeps me awake but won't see to Noah if he wakes after midnight cos he has to be up for work! Annoying!

suzym1984 · 08/06/2011 09:26

Happy Birthday wiggles

Yey for Noah sleeping thru emski I am soooo jealous!! Please tell me your sectrets?!

ledkr how rude of Dilly, I cant believe she thinks that 4.50 is morning! is she still awake or did you manage to get her back down?

Harry woke at 3.30am for a feed but at least went back to sleep til 8am. When will he bloody drop this night feed?????/

Oh, and does anyone else have a really noisy baby? Last night Harry was groaning and whinging so much that I kept getting up to check on him, but he was asleep! he even did a big crying noise in his sleep! So despite only having 1 feed I am exhausted today.

Off to the shopping centre today to meet up with a friend and her baby. Shopping, coffe and chat should sort me out Grin

chocoroo · 08/06/2011 09:29

Happy birthday wiggles, have a fab day.

Jane I've been doing the shred with tinned tomatoes...will now be extra careful!

ledkr I totally feel your pain. R napped badly yesterday and I was up with her every 30m from 1am. Sometimes
A bit more frequently. She wasn't even really awake, just shouting out but I experimented with leaving her and she woke up properly and started shouting. I evacuated into her bedroom to give DP some sleep at about 3am when she was properly awake giggle and grins eland everything. DP had to swap rooms with me at 5am when I cracked and tried to put her back in her cot in our room but accidentally started playing Don't stop believing from the Glee soundtrack to her rather than the White noise she likes. Got about an hour from 5:30am and then she was up and at em before 7am.

She's now whinging in her bouncy chair while I keep muttering "just go to sleep" in the hope of having an hour before baby sensory!

I have a horrible feeling this is the sleep regression you've all been on about.

wigglesrock · 08/06/2011 09:30

Thank you all, no big plans for today, Mr W is working, my mum has Olivia and I have parked Anna beside the washing machine while she has a doze Blush

jane glad you've done no damage to your money maker as my sister refers to her face Grin

ledkr poor you, 4.50am is still night-time, Anna slept until 7am this morning, she woke at for a feed at some point during the night but went down again, but when I went downstairs at 7.15, Sofia had already got up and was sitting waiting for me in her uniform Shock Usually she comes up or shouts if she gets up first which is very rarely.

ponyo good luck with the jabs. Am sure A will be fine, Anna seemed to find these one much easier Grin

janedoe25 · 08/06/2011 09:41

wiggles How good of Sofia, was she giving you her own little birthday present?

choco i hope R lets you get some sleep, can you not cancel baby sensory today?

ponyo hope the jags go well today.

reastie · 08/06/2011 09:49

suzy we get the big loud over dramatic cry noise in sleep too Confused

wiggles happy birthday. where's a [big cake] emoticon when you need one? a Biscuit will have to do Grin

jane Shock at danger during shredding - you could have become one of those Grin stats which you hear about like 2000 people (I make this up btw) injure themselves every year with a pillow or some such other unusual object Hmm - make sure there is no shredding in the week before your wedding - we want no black eyed bride Wink

led I was sure dilly would sleep all night after all that wake time so am a bit Shock . does she still look tired or is she wide awake?

ponyo hope the jabs go ok. did I hear someone say there are THREE this time?! Shock Sad

thanks for all those mil comments yesterday, interesting esp to hear emski take and 40 take. I won't go into details but there are alot of issues behind mil meaning she doesn't realise it but some things she is incapable of doing (in a bad way).

have got this hv visit this morning. still not sure why Hmm as found out it's not the norm dor this area. all I can think is that they thought when I was pg I was high risk for pnd so maybe they're keeping an eye on me.

reastie · 08/06/2011 09:51

choc I'm so sorry but I Grin at the glee on cd thing Confused . You could just not go to baby sensory (I know you've paid, but, is the few pounds you pay worth it for the tiredness etc you feel to go out? only you know that) . Btw - we have a fathers day special at our baby sensory next week - if you do, we shall have to compare notes Grin

OP posts:
chocoroo · 08/06/2011 10:30

Jane and reastie I could not go to baby sensory but skipped last week due to losing my voice and actually feel like I need to get out of the house.

R just napped for 30m so I caught up on Neighbours lounged on the sofa and feel generally ok. Going to haul my ass in the shower as she usually doses while the hair dryer is on too.

reastie Yep, think there's a Father's Day special next week...bet they're exactly the same! On a hen do recently all us mothers were sat around drunkenly singing the Hello song!

And yea, the Glee incident was funny. Just not at the time!

byronicheroine · 08/06/2011 10:37

Morning all, stuck in waiting for a plumber so... MN calls!
choc oops re. Glee, that sounds like something I would do and then i'd feel Blush about the slip up in my otherwise-perfect music taste!
reastie at least your in-laws aren't GREEK I won't even start on the rubbish I have to put up with, but luckily they don't live in the same country [phew]
suzy I think it was you on about the paddling pool? Ours has just arrived so off to blow it up and laze about all afternoon
jane sorry about your shredding accident, glad it hasn't scarred you permanently! I would never tell anyone in rl this... but... DP split his trousers this morning and actually requested to start 'this shreddy thing you are on about', so i have bowed to the thread and ordered it too Grin will give you updates to laugh at
wiggles Happy birthday AND fake anniversary (quite an important one, really!) enjoy your day
And to those who have just hit the 4 month sleep regression... remember 'this too shall pass' as I have now a 41/2 month old bf baby who generally goes 8-8 (don't hate me - use me as a model of how it can be :) ). Of course, I don't get anywhere near that amount of sleep as he also is a noisy huffy groany moany sleeper, but one can't complain.
Said baby went back to sleep at 9 and is still snoring..... time for me to get the pump out and get the pool up!

ILovePonyo · 08/06/2011 10:42

Oh reastie I meant to say - my hv rang me yest and asked if they have checked dd's hips at baby clinic and given me a dental kit or something Confused I said no so she's coming on Fri.

I got a bit paranoid and thought 'is she coming because dd has a scratch on her leg' (done by herself) Hmm Course I know its daft but the thought did cross my mind.

Hope today goes well.

byronic Grin at your dh wanting to do the shred. Enjoy the pool - good idea!

40Weeks · 08/06/2011 11:42

Happy bday wiggles have a great day

Have just finished spin class and am sitting in the cafe til I need to collect ds2&3 from the crèche in precisely 6 mins. I have paid until 11.45 so there they shall stay!

How are you after your tin attack Jane ? thank goodness no fat lip!

ledkr chocoroo and suzym can I join the tired club? Ds2 has been up at 5 (sometimes earlier) every day since before Easter which seems go have now programmed M's body clock. I got about 3 hours last night Sad

wigglesrock · 08/06/2011 12:13

byronicheroine think Mr W is going to do the Shred too, 40 fast approaching, freaking him out slightly Grin Seriously he had a bit of a mini meltdown when he was 30 - honestly I didn't think that happened in real life Shock He was really moody, snappy and yes he did get a tattoo, thank Christ it wasn't a new car or wife I suppose Grin

I am due to see a HV for a 14-16 week review/check up as well, Anna is 16 weeks so I rang up to see what was happening, they are very short staffed and will give me an appt soon. She is covered in scratches behind her ears and is still sporting a slight mark where Olivia dropped a wand on her tried to recreate a scene from Harry Potter Blush

40Weeks you get your moneys worth pet Wink

reastie · 08/06/2011 12:24

40 are you trying to make me Envy re: how good you are to be back at spin?! btw think I asked before, which gym do you go to [nosey] ?

I am LOL at the thought of all these pink lycra clad huffing and puffing dhs trying to shred Grin Wink

wiggles I'm intregued re: the tattoo now Hmm

yes byron - glad my inlaws arn't greek from the stories you tell. We had a friend of family over a few weeks ago who lives in greece with a greek wife and he said when his pfb was born all the men in the family crowded around the lo making comments like 'he's got your nose/lip/chin' etc to sort of make sure he was the father type of thing.

choc did you get to baby sensory? wonder if they all do the same thing every week, did you get a puppet show today? we should defo compare notes re: fathers day special Grin

well, I now have worked out why hv came - it was re: potential pnd as she didn't seem that interested in alice at all Shock Hmm . I had to fill in a questionnaire for pnd, and, despite not feeling depressed at all (but I know I have anxiety/stress issues) I seemed to have come off quite bad in the questionnaire Confused so she wants to come back in a month to check how I'm doing Hmm

OP posts:
wigglesrock · 08/06/2011 12:39

reastie It's five rings, sort of like the Olympic rings on the top of his arm, for the life of me can't remember on which arm Blush Can you tell we usually have sex in the dark Grin

Whenever I see the HV, well after birth and six week check up they ran through the questions on the questionnaire with me too. Its just routine, just take it as good follow up care xx

Having a lovely morning, Anna has slept most of the morning and I am getting caught up on tv shows I've missed housework. Actually I have just finished doing one of my favourite things, am aware that it makes me sound exceptionally dull. Mr W bought me a new handbag for my birthday and I have transferred all girls my tat into it, after I sniffed it for a while. There you go my big confession - I'm a handbag sniffer Grin

reastie · 08/06/2011 12:48

any particular meaning behind the 5 rings wiggles ? Hmm

new handbag? Grin lucky you Envy . if dh chose it himself, hope he made a good choice

OP posts:
wigglesrock · 08/06/2011 13:01

Handbag is yummy - Mr W has fab taste in handbags - 20 years of training Grin

I'm not sure if he was holding on to a misguided idea that he was fit enough to compete in any kind of sport!!. I don't know, he just liked the design, I'm afraid I wasn't hugely sympathetic to his musings at that point - I'm a bit hard like that Grin But I suppose there's 5 of us now, so its nice!!

reastie · 08/06/2011 13:04

only thing is - if you have another one, he might have to go out to add another ring to it Wink Shock Grin

OP posts:
wigglesrock · 08/06/2011 13:07

reastie Shock Shock Grin

debka · 08/06/2011 13:07

Hey everyone

[reastie] was thinking about you last night, I remember you being so anxious when you were pg and asking loads of qs and worrying about everything. And now Alice is here you have turned into a funny happy confident mum. Just wanted to remark and say well done :)

ledkr little bugger waking so early. Hope you get an easier day and night today, but if not, remember it's Paris tomorrow!!

choc your night sounds absolutely dire but you did make me smile with the Glee soundtrack!

emski WELL DONE to Noah for still sleeping through and Grin at beetle impression!

byron Angry and Envy at 8-8, been kidding telling myself it's only ff babies sleeping through!

S only had 2 feeds last night again, although BOTH girls were up at 6.30. Didn't mind so much at the time, but the morning seems to have gone on forever. Imy is being a pain, but fortunately is in bed now. I'd go too but S is asleep in the car and has been since 10.30- she HAS to wake up soon, right?

wiggles happy birthday, enjoy your sniff (btw do you sniff new shoes and books too?)

wigglesrock · 08/06/2011 13:16

debka have been known to sniff the odd book but not shoes - that's weird Wink If its any consolation Anna is ffed and doesn't sleep through Shock

byronicheroine · 08/06/2011 13:20

I second what deb said, reastie I hope you realise what a long way you - and all of us - have come :)
Also deb , don't be too Angry - Kostas is one of the 'older' babies and he's only done it for a few nights. repeat after me "this too shall pass". feeding twice in the night is normal, but I know it's hard. I find it's ok as long as I get straight back to sleep but absolute hell if i'm up MNing messing about in the middle of the night. Are you napping in the day?
wiggles well done Mr W, DP was great at presents the first year we were together.... any tips on training them? Wink
ledkr bon voyage, j'espere que tu vas boire beaucoup du bevvies pour moi, et je veux un grande pair of mouse ears, s'il te plait. Or sommat like that! [translation: have fun]
Pool is blown up and now it's raining. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

debka · 08/06/2011 13:31

Thanks byron I know she won't wake forever. I get a fair amount of sleep actually because she's only up for 20 mins then straight back down. Last night I actually got 8 hours, although they were broken by DH snoring. Can't really nap cos I have a 2yo as well. BTW where did you pick up such great French?? Grin

reastie · 08/06/2011 13:35

byron tu es tres bien a l'francais Confused Grin

deb thanks so much for that comment, it made me all warm and fuzzy. I wasn't myself at all when I was pregnant and really struggled with everything (I would love now to have a whole brood of dc but I don't think I can ever go through pg again). I feel so much better now than I did but maybe I have further to go than I think Hmm

DH sniffs new books - thought it was just him as I'm always Shock when he does it as I dislike the smell. I do sniff handbags and shoes, but, only to check they're proper leather and not the cheap stuff Wink

alice having a nap noe for the past hour and a half Shock she never usually naps this long. I'm suppose to take her over to mums soon to meet one of her friends and she'll need feeding first so I'm debating waking her up but I'm so happy she's actually sleeping in the day I'm not sure if I'll get a grotbag if I do Hmm

OP posts:
wigglesrock · 08/06/2011 13:37

byronicheroine I use the same technique on Mr W as I do on the girls - chocolate !!! Mr W bought me a bag for Christmas and it was gorgeous, the shop assistant helped him pick it out so I sent him back to the same shop Grin

By the way never mind the rain there, its so cold here I have actually put the heating on Shock

wigglesrock · 08/06/2011 13:40

byronicheroine I hope ledkr has a few drinks for me too, and I want a big pair of mouse ears too Grin
