Don't laugh but I've got Britain's Got Talent on, and am REALLY excited about it....!!!

ILovePonyo · 30/05/2011 20:13

Emski your pics are great! You look lovely (and slim Envy) and love the pic of your lo fast asleep with arms above head, brilliant!

hubbard how your head feeling? Grin

I have never seen HSM and really don't like musicals so don't think it would be my cup of tea.

I have put dd to bed swaddled but with one arm out - lets see how she does Hmm She does still seem happy to be swaddled but is getting too big for her moses basket and don't want her all swaddled up in her cot. We had two 2yr olds over today who were running round and generally being hectic, I thought she wouldn't be bothered but she was really fascinated :)

ILovePonyo · 30/05/2011 20:14

Haha that bit about HSM sounds a bit grumpy doesn't it, thought I was feeling less of a grump than earlier but obv not Grin

byronicheroine · 30/05/2011 20:21

sorry everyone but I'm sunburned!! From this morning, 'foreign mums' meeting' on the beach. Got home just in time as it pissed down all afternoon so I had tea and biscuits and did nothing
I also am busy when the PILs call... so funny that others do it too. Apart from kiss ass good DIL wiggles
deb we have some coordination 'skillz' going on here, most of them seem to be himself trying to fit his whole fist into his mouth and random grabbing of my hair which bloody hurts
hubbard [jealous] that you had such a good night - details please (no life of my own). My night out on Saturday involved both of us halfway down glasses of lethal sangria saying 'but I thought YOU were driving'. (DP lost that one - my reasoning was that he was bigger, so less affected by the alcohol!) Baby slept through the whole thing, including car seat to pram changes, all in his little grobag - bless!
ponyo I cry at that bit in dumbo anyway - let alone now all hormonal with a little one - I'd be a mess!
Other news - my friend, who was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, gave birth today (a bit early but not too much) to a little girl called Klea. Can't wait to see them and have a newborn cuddle (and then give her back!).

ledkr · 30/05/2011 20:28

emski noah is so cute, even tho he is a limpit.
D is in bed thank god, she's been abit misery today it maybe cos we went to my mums and she hates her routine disrupted she's very anal Grin
Els has a cold too so it could be that D feels ill, either way i was glad to see the back of her happy that she settled.
Not shredded today and had a big roast at my mums before she furnished us all with cream eggs,no wonder my sisters and i all struggle with our weight.
hubbard you are over the worst,i get some cracking hang overs and i always find that 3 o'clock is hangover threshold and i feel better. I am a bit of a hangover veteran and have many drugs in my cabinet to deal with them. On both my wedding days I was extremely hungover but had anice flat tummy from puking Grin
reastie ahem,i have a bumbo already so there and D quite likes it. I have thus far manged not to injure her but have in fact drowned her on a couple of occasions,i dont feel guilty tho cos from what i can tell people pay good money to do that at aqua flipping tots Grin

reastie · 30/05/2011 20:49

Well I'm a bit oblivious to this HSM thing you speak of - never seen any of them Hmm

deb BGT on here too, but think I picked the wrong time to go and get a cuppa as came back and all the judges were saying to bike guy he was the best so far and I missed it Confused

byron we get the hair grabbing too - owch Wink . Yeah for Klea Grin

ems love the limpit Grin

SIL just put a piccie of herself up on fb and I feel terrible but I'm really Envy as she's lost a bucket load of weight (I reckon about 3 dress sizes at least) and I've put on a bucket load of weight (2 dress sizes) - her lost weight must've stuck itself on to me Wink . I feel bad but I feel so envious and annoyed at her for losing so much just at the point in my life where I've gained so much Shock

wiggles how you feeling?

led have you sorted out your escape route from PIL when they come? Wink

Evening!

R's been a bit better today after a mammoth sleep last night. Unfortunately her snoring and sniffing kept me awake all night...

Hubbard Hope you're not still hanging. May I recommend paracetomol, Berrocca, cheese puffs and lemon lucazade?

Reastie we have a 2nd hand Bumbo too and R seems to like it. She gets tired quite quickly but if I pile the toys up on the Tracy attachment she loves it. She does twist around a lot in it though so I have to keep an eye on her...worry about her tipping over and banging her head on the wooden floor.

ledkr I feel your lack of Shredding and will let you in to a secret to top your roast and Creme egg...on Saturday I had a BBQ meal at a mates and then Chinese takeaway with my mum. I was just plain greedy.

HSM Gang I LOVE High School Musical. A friend and I borrowed a small child so we could go to the cinema to watch HSM3. I meant to watch them while on mat leave before R arrived and forgot...I might have to introduce her to them this week!

Have a hen do on Saturday and need to get a new dress - dress code is black with pink accessories but all my black dresses make me look fat as I used to be curvy but my mummy tummy now means I have no waist.

debka · 30/05/2011 20:55

Checking out here, off to bed. LOVED the little singing boy on BGT!

emski thanks for putting up pics, you are a lovely looking family :)

reastie take motivation from it- if she can do it, so can you.

Night all!

reastie · 30/05/2011 21:00

choc may I suggest empire line dress - they were my style of choice as i've always had a fat tum Blush

I do'nt know why but alice just doesn't seem to fit in her bumbo so we never use it - it looks like her body isn't long enough yet Hmm I think she's maybe quite short Hmm as she was measured at 8 wk check up and only in 9th centile for height but a wopper sized 75th centile head on top of her tiny body Wink

wigglesrock · 30/05/2011 21:04

emski brill photos, Noah is beautiful but Ben is a bit of heartbreaker isn't he? God those two together are going to break a few hearts - must take after their Mummy Grin

Not shredding either, runny nose not the best look at the best of times, think Jillians' chirpiness might push me over the edge Grin

janedoe I took Sofia to see HSM2 on stage - my personal fave Blush

reastie go now and discover High School Musical - you will find the music in you!!! Still feel terrible, hopefully with Mr W on duty tonight I can sleep!!

PS WHAT IS A BUMBO!!!

ledkr · 30/05/2011 21:06

haha yes i hate it when people lose weight,i have the staying power of a gnat, its soooo hard. Im watching bgt too deb.

reastie of course i have, a spot of ice skating on Friday then if they can be arsed to leave their tent on Fri night ill be in bed with girls. The spare room is a tip so if they get tempted to stay its will be a job. We are off to see them at their site on sat as its by a really good zoo but will be leaving early for D's bedtime so i am guessing they may follow but if not i may ask them for lunch on Sun but get up and start doing stuff about 5 so hopefully they can sod off at a normal time.

Me and Ella were watching Eastenders and the gay couple were on. she was all Shock and covered her eyes,i told her about gay people ages ago, i guess she wont be a fag hag like her mother. Its funny cos my 2 mates are a couple [guys] and she has known them all her life, just hasnt cottoned on to the fact they have only one bed and serve us tea in art dec tea sets whilst playing Barbarah Steisand cds Grin

ledkr · 30/05/2011 21:13

choc i yearn for my old figure, can i suggest some decent foundation underwear, cant beat it for holding the belly in. I have a wedding and am going to buy a dress next week but will also be purchasing some sucky in underwear too,and am having a spray tan.
That little boy on bgt was great, the song he sang was my wedding one and that was before Adele was really that famous. I love it.

ledkr · 30/05/2011 21:16

A bumbo dearest wiggles is one of those chunky seats that look like a potty you kind of squish them in and they can sit up.

reastie · 30/05/2011 21:29

shredled maybe ellas reaction to the gays was just how she feels she's expected to react - like how they do in the playground IYKWIM.

wiggles I shall have to watch this HSM at some point I feel Hmm

Ah yes choc some good scaffolding undergarments. Actually, maybe I should try that Hmm . My mum is having a big house warming/60th bday party next month (yes, I have such a full social calendar that my mums party is top of the agenda Blush ) and must get a nice outfit for that. I know everyone will want to meet alice but it doesn't start until 8pm which is past her bedtime Hmm

OP posts:
chocoroo · 30/05/2011 21:53

Yep, was thinking about some scaffolding led and reastie. May investigate although i've always yelled at my friends when they've used them - it's always the size ten skinny minnies.

Perhaps if I'd shredded harder I wouldn't be in this mess....

ledkr · 30/05/2011 22:08

choco-shred daily till then,i defo look better for it,it realy is abitch isnt it? My self esteem is in tatters tbh,why is it so hard to do something when you want it so much Sad Am going to count ww points tomorrow,i cant be doing all these faddy things i havent got time to be makoing bacon eggs cream and chees in the mornings,i hardly get the chance to wash my face as it is.
I was going to check out the pretty corsetry which i think ill feel more sexy in than flesh coloured neck high giant pants hehe

wigglesrock · 30/05/2011 22:20

Oh you mean a plastic seat Wink

ledkr · 30/05/2011 22:31

hahahaha you are such a match for me wiggles, its agood job we dont live closer we'd be dangerous Grin

WanderingSheep · 30/05/2011 22:45

I can't shred anymore as the DVD was a lovefilm one so I've had to send it back. I'm going to buy it though!

The weight is coming off, slowly but surely. I think I've got about half a stone to lose now and my shape is pretty much how it was pre pregnancy but I need to tone up.

Ooh, a product recommendation for those of you who want your little ones to self settle at night time - I have a lullaby night light thingy that we used for DD1 when she was a baby. She used to love it and used it for ages. We've started using it for DD2, I just plonk her in the cot and she lies there grinning at the projected light on the ceiling until she drifts off!

I'll see if I can find a link to the one we have - back in a mo...

WanderingSheep · 30/05/2011 22:48

this one

reastie · 31/05/2011 07:27

wandering have to return it to lovefilm eh - excuses excuses Wink Grin . We've got one of those musical cot thingys and alice does love it, but must add that we don't put it on at night time as she gets so over excited by the light show on the ceiling it wakes her up and she never gets to sleep Hmm . We tend to use it more in the morning after her first feed when i dump her in her cot to get a shower

At the risk of completely annoying all those with non sleeping babies Confused can I share my excitement at alice sleeping through the night for the first time Grin Grin . She went from 9:45 - 6:30 with no feeds Grin . I feel that's good going for a bf baby [proud]

janedoe25 · 31/05/2011 07:53

Yay for alice! Grin reastie i can top that, my next social event is a 20th wedding anniversary afternoon tea - so rock and roll!

ledkr hope the outlaws behave themselves at the weekend.

DF and I are going to a SANDS balloon release on saturday, and bloody fil wants to tag along, but i told DF i don't want him there! I feel it's something nice for Zoe we can do together without involving others. We are going to make a wee day of it, with lunch and cinema afterwards, i'm really looking forward to it. Oh forgot to tell you all fil latest, he was on hol last week, told me he booked it as i "ruined" his last holiday Shock ( he was on a carribean cruise when Zoe was born and he came home early). I just laugh at him now and his pettiness, he aint getting a reaction out of me cos thats what he wants!

Have good day ladies and babies Grin

Grannyapple · 31/05/2011 08:46

Morning ladies...been absent as laptop was away for repair..sooo good to have it back!!will post piccies later.

ledkr I fear I may be a zombie mummy as you kindly put it...have said pram, teether, booked up swimming classes ...& also have bumbo...but still got a stone to lose in weight! I'm putting my zombie state down to being a naive first timer Confused.

Shred still hasn't arrived (grrr) so have re-ordered from amazon...expecting it to come today (now in a nervous disposition anticipating it's arrival, hmmm).

Jane sorry but your fil is a knob of the highest order!! Insensitive twat!! I canny go people who are all "me,me,me"..even more so after what's happened....prize dickhead!!

reastie pls share wisdom of sleeping thru the night baby....Nate was up at half bloody 3...I fear I have the dreaded wiggles cold so just what I bloody needed! Was hoping as he'd had his previous days total intake by 7pm last night that he might have at least tried to make it thru....hmmm.

Canny wait to hear about how ledkr oil attempt to worm their way over to yours this weekend Grin

Have a good day ladies x.

ledkr · 31/05/2011 09:54

granny I think it will be quite funny too, interesting to se how much actual camping is done and the weather is good so no excuses (have been madly googling weather all week) haha I will not be offering advice on baby sleep as everytime i do she starts to wake up again, suffice to say that i have solved the 6am starts which were giving me a headache by plonking her back in basket after a feed and she is stil asleep now Shock
jane sands thing sounds lovely, why does fil want to come anyway?Even if hed been nice id have still thought it was not for him. Is he a widow cos you never mention mil? Why would he say such horrible things? You ruined his holiday? Wtf is the mans problems? Im afraid id have decked him out cold by now.

WanderingSheep · 31/05/2011 10:04

Fuck! Really? He actually said that, Jane? He's an absolute...well words can't describe what he is! What does your DF say?

The balloon release sounds lovely. Is that where you tie a message to the balloon?

Yay for Alice reastie! Lottie has now been switched to the hungry baby milk and is doing loads better! She seems to enjoy it more than the first milk too. She's gone back to going through till half 5 so I think it must have been hunger that was waking her up Smile.

Sorry about your cold granny, it's crap feeling crap when you've got a baby! At least when they're a bit older cbeebies can babysit, or is it just me who does that?
