stac hope you get some sleep tonight!!!
tsc another one who cant really comment, but we are all here for you, I just wish he had listened to you when it got brought up ages ago :(
trudyla have a great time, we are supposed to get a heatwave from thursday!
L went off with no problem tonight, he is so overtired, we went into town this afternoon and I had a lovely brie, cranberry and bacon panini!!! L wouldnt eat at all he has been so teary, but keeps walking into kitchen and saying ook ook while pointing to the washer, I think he is more excited than I am!! the 30 min cycle is going to be handy for freshening up the dog blankets and throws. Going to see my group ladies tomorrow.

viksam · 31/05/2011 21:23

Right i have finished my journey back in time, it was fun while it lasted!
trudyla sounds like u had a much better day today, hope it lasts while u are away! Have a lovely time x
cake thanks for the pics, i met someone i knew from a while ago today who has an 18month gap between her kids but i couldnt tell her about me cos she knows people from work which was ashame cos we could have chatted loads.
I cant fil in the survey because every answer would be 'he has DH's such and such..........' he is the spitting image of DH, in every way. I do wish he had something of me but i cant see it, DH said he had my feet the other day but i think he was just being nice!
chu great that ur friend is coming to stay, not so great that S will be in with u. I have been having to drive to Christchurch the last few work days, im sure i must go by where u used to live. Tomorrow i have to be there before 9, means DH will have to get D ready for the CM.
D went to Weymouth with the CM today, she does like to get out and about!
He woke again last night at about 10ish, screaming, had calpol and resettled then quite quickly and slept 'through' till 6.20am. Really weird behavour though. D flips imediatly over to his front the second i put him down and he goes up no his ands and knees and rocks himself to sleep, again really weird but if it works for him, great!

CakeandRoses · 31/05/2011 21:25

Survey-time: Who is your baby like? everybody say's dp and dp's sister!

Hair: strawberry blonde....some call it ginger but its not! dp's brother is reddish and his sister was strawberry blonde but is now white blonde even as a teenager. straight like dp's side and i would have loved her to have curly hair!

Skin-colour: fair

Eyes: stunning blue eyes! they catch everyone's attention! think they're my shape and both dp and i are blue but his are bluer

Nose: hard to tell but i think mine

Mouth: think the shape of her mouth is dp's but she definately has my big lips!

Face-shape: think a bit of a mixture but prob more like dp

Body:slim and long legs! dp's side again!

Height:quite tall. like dp's side again!

Personality: so funny and such a little entertainer! quite laid back in ways like dp and has a very stubborn streak like me. she's also the nosiest little bugger and she definately gets that from me!

Any weird traits/throw-back to previous generations? she does the exact same thing as me when she's relaxing or her mind is drifting- rubs her thumbnail and tip of her thumb up and down all her fingertips. she started doing this very early on and i think it's just amazing that something like that could be carried on! also she has the exact same hairline and cows lick as me.

hands and feet: exact same hands and nails as mine! also noticed this straight away when she was born. feet i think like dp's. she has big clown feet and all his family are the same.

kkfairybrains · 31/05/2011 21:55

stac yeah i've been busy thank god! also giving the house a deep clean so just doing that at every opportunity i get instead of being glued to the laptop!
tsc it's such a sad situation :( really can't add anything but i think you're being so strong
trudy so glad you had a better day today! long may it continue. enjoy your trip!
chulita was meant to ask what you ended up getting done with your colour
cakes was thinking when you said you posted the picture in the wrong place earlier it would have been hilarious/ highly embarrasing if you had posted the other one instead with the comment about dh under it!
stac maybe you should let dp do the wake ups this weekend when he's not working to give you a chance to catch up on some sleep and then concentrate on bootcamping her. it will be very hard to do when you're feeling like you are
viks i hated situations like that when i was dying to blab to people and couldn't!
woodland hope you and j sleep better tonight!
all the talk of baking on here is really making me want to try something! only thing is i'll have to buy all the equipment first! any suggestions for a nice receipe for a first time baker to just get me used to it? or is it just not hard really?!. the thoughts of them white choc and lemon muffins sound delicious whenever you perfect it cakes!

Needle · 31/05/2011 22:05

Survey-time: Who is your baby like?

Hair: Dark blonde and straight with a threat of ginger. I was born with black curls, DH with white blonde curls, so I've no idea where she gets that from!

Skin-colour: Very pale, like both of us. No sunbathing for this family!

Eyes: Perfect blue, just like her father.

Nose: A bit too soon to tell, but it looks like it's going to be mine. Poor sod.

Mouth: Gorgeous, full, perfect lips. She gets those from me

Face-shape: from the nose down, me. From the nose up, DH

Body: a lot like me as a baby. Generally long, with long skinny arms and legs. Massive feet. Freakishly huge.

Height: Very tall. I'm 5"8 and DH is 6"3, so she's going to be big

Personality: Generally very cheerful, although she gets very grumpy when she's tired. She gets that from her father! She adores dancing, especially to BBC radio comedy theme tunes (Men from the Ministry and I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again a particular favourite)

Any weird traits/throw-back to previous generations? She's got a birthmark on the back of her neck, identical to one her father has. Also a double crown- no idea where that comes from and odd ears- one small and normal, one pointed like a pixie. When I say she's got big feet- the first thing the midwife said when she saw her was "Gosh, hasn't she got big feet". Unfortunately I think by the time she's 12 we'll be buying her shoes in transvestite shops.

Trudy, I'm so glad you've had a better day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that you've turned a corner now and that things will ease up for you.

TSC Thinking of you hun, I wish there was something practical I could say, but honestly- I wouldn't know where to start. You know where we all are if you need to talk.

Cake I'm glad you enjoyed the movie & date night. Like I said, as an action movie it wasn't bad, I just hate it when they mess around with mythology like that. Besides, I'm a costumer, and those were genuinely the worst costumes I've EVER seen in a film. Seriously, totally ruined it for me.
How did your puff pastry turn out?

Woodlands good luck for night 2 with J in his own room. I hope you get some sleep tonight!

Weird day here. G has been miserable all day, except when DH was around, when she was a delight. He managed to get her to eat her tea, after I couldn't get her to touch it. Very embarrassing. I wonder what's gotten into all the grumpy babies today?

First proper bikini wax tonight in 10 months. eeek.

CakeandRoses · 31/05/2011 23:16

tsc what do you want to happen after he moves out? do you see a future for you two after that?

Are there any changes he could make which would convince you that things could work with him staying?

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 01/06/2011 07:54

needle I havent had one for 6ish weeks and its out of control, Im getting the whole lot waxed off for the wedding, not looking forward to the pain!

Needle · 01/06/2011 08:50

dh, i've been doing it myself since we moved, but i've finally found somewhere right by my house. It's SUCH a relief to gave it all off! She was brilliant actually, and used lycon hot wax instead of the old fashioned warm wax with strips which is much more effective. In the last week i've done my nails, been to the hairdressers and had a wax- I just need to make myself a dress and i'll feel almost like my old self again! (just 2 stone heavier!)

Needle · 01/06/2011 08:51

BTW, if you take 2 paracetamol with codine two hours before you go, it makes it far less painful x

Chulita · 01/06/2011 08:51

viks my grandad lives in Christchurch, if you drive on the A road between Dorchester and Poole past Bere Regis you'll be driving about 4 miles from my old house

cake I might try that tahini cake later, I'd like to try something with it now that I've impulse bought a big jar of the stuff Confused

kkfairy I ended up getting a few dark blonde foils with a caramel colour all over. It's only a bit lighter than my natural colour but it's lovely, only trouble is I just can't blowdry it the way they do so it never looks as good as it could.

tsc thinking of you, sucks hairy balls really that he just hasn't listened. Hoping for the best possible outcome even if I have no idea what that would be.

So excited for my friend coming today but very scared of the next few sleepless nights, I'm so tired at the mo and it can only get worse having S in the same room. Never mind, I can survive anything for 3 nights.

Potty training isn't going anywhere fast, it's been nearly a week and we're still getting more in the pants than the potty but she's keen at least (most of the time)

Chulita · 01/06/2011 08:59

Survey-time: Who is your baby like? most say he looks just like me

Hair: dark blonde but it'll go darker quite quickly I reckon

Skin-colour: average, not fair but not dark

Eyes: dark brown like mine and L's, everyone comments on them and he uses them to very good effect when he needs something.

Nose: mine

Mouth: DH's, I've got very thin lips but S's are very kissable.

Face-shape: Hard to tell with the chubb but I think heart-shaped like mine

Body: gorgeous, don't know where he gets that from

Height: he's only little, my whole family's short though so I couldn't expect a giant!

Personality: explorer, very chuckly, quite serious with strangers. Very obedient when it comes to 'don't touch' but if I tell him off for something he pisses himself laughing. He also finds me putting him bed very funny (until I close the door). Loves climbing and hiding in any little space, loves being chased around the house.

Any weird traits/throw-back to previous generations? Both him and L have a cheeky eyebrow raise that's exactly like my mum, they've both done it from very early on. S has my oversized forehead, poor little mite!

You're right, this would be ridiculously disruptive at a very important time in K's life. You'd be better off together if you still love each other and want, deep down, to be together. The children will be happier, it's easier for you when you've got another adult around even if they still need 'looking after' in ways you would prefer they didn't. Yes, there is this huge monster under the bed but as you said, you've got through so much together already. This is something that if he can own up to and get control of, it doesn't have to smash up your family. It's not going to be fun for you in the short term but if you're willing to put the energy in and he's willing to admit there's a problem and work on it, in the long run you could well find yourself stronger. I really do hope you can work it through in your head - you seem like a very strong and determined woman and I'm sure if you decide to hold his hand through this you'll manage very well. I have no experience of any of this so I'm most likely talking bollocks so feel free to ignore it all, it's just what I think.

He had the fucking cheek to shout at me for ranting. and breeeeeath

as you were!!!

Chulita · 01/06/2011 15:40

ILs an option? what a bloody nightmare!

CakeandRoses · 01/06/2011 16:23

Are you ok memph? Have you sorted something? Wish we could help.

tsc I agree with chul that there's a lot to still keep you together and that's in many ways a better/easier option than him going. Think you are just going to have to push for some kind of commitment from him first re meetings, whether he can still drink etc.

Beautiful weather here, have been chilling in park after nearly killing F this morning (teething and aggressive). Going over to a friends for dinner tonight.

MelissaM · 01/06/2011 19:31

Aargh! Will these children not sleep? L ill again and only had 30 mins all day (over 2 naps) and E is playing up as craving attention. Waited hrs for a call back from docs. Finally called at nearly 5 when I was ready to explode and E was at her worst and L was screaming. There was.no way I was going to.try to get them both out again, esp as tea was nearly ready and I'd.stupidly offered to make kids tea for 1 of the.neighbours whose dh is away. taking him in the morning.
