Hello ladies, hope you found your way over here okay!

Our little newborns are newborns no more! :( :)

Hopefully a while yet before teething and weaning starts, but there's definitely a lot of wiggling and squealing going on already :o

I take Iz swimming twice a week gallic - we go to my fancy gym so it has a nice little baby pool which is open all the time rather than me having to stress about timetables etc. She absolutely loves it, she's getting very sure of herself now, on Tuesday she was trying to pull herself out of the pool, and then went bumshuffling around all the fountains. There's a slide we can go down together now that I've checked I won't get my mahoosive backside stuck which she thinks is hilarious.

Fuzzywood · 14/03/2012 21:06

Hope all are well. Still no walking here but lots and lots of gorgeous giggles, bless him.

Just had to google pi day, just couldn't get it due to the British way of writing dates Blush.
I also found that I could order a t-shirt Grin

gallicgirl · 14/03/2012 21:27

< throws birthday cake >

Wondered what that pi thing was.

DP away overnight so I'm watching OBEM and resisting yelling at the tv. Daft girls need to move around more. Complaining about the pain and yelling for epidurals at 3cm but they can hold a conversation alright!!

Flubba · 14/03/2012 22:03

Happy Birthday Fuzzy (how old? how old? how old? how old? how old? how old? :o :o Wink :o :o)

Just been watching Masterchef, and now about to watch my former boss on secret millionaire. Can't bring myself to watch OBEM.

Fuzzywood · 14/03/2012 22:20

I've just watched Masterchef, come on Shalina! Watching OBEM now and feel like I'm about to start shouting the same things Gallic was earlier!

I'm 21 and 192 months

Flubba · 14/03/2012 22:32

Oh, that's a good age. I am also 21y and 192m :)

Chucks more cake :)

Fuzzywood · 14/03/2012 22:42

I feel it's going to be a good year, only a few more months of work then a bit of a 'break' and try to find something I want to do for work for a change. Oh and I will master my sewing!

gallicgirl · 14/03/2012 23:15

Feck - you're both younger than me.

< thinks > actually, I'm not sure how old I am Blush It's been a hectic week.....21+198 months, bit older than youse.

I did feel sorry for the wee lad on OBEM who was born after using forceps. Well, I say wee but he was almost 10lbs, but his poor head was bleeding. I'd be heartbroken - it was all over my birth plan "NO FORCEPS".

Did you take redundancy fuzzy? It's great that you're seeing it as an opportunity and please don't be afraid to try something new. I did that a few years ago and although I didn't stay in the field I retrained in, it gave me huge confidence and a new skillset when I returned to the public sector. Well, I wasn't made redundant but just chucked it all in, sold house and moved. Everyone thought I was nuts but I met DP and now I have my beautiful baby so it was all for the best.

Fuzzywood · 15/03/2012 19:46

No redundancy Gallic though there is another re-organisation going on at work at the moment so there will be redundancies but I don't think they'll be applicable in my area. If I can get redundancy that would be fab Grin. Nope just leaving as we can't work out a childcare situation we're happy with for DD when she starts school in Sept. Plus unless I was to go back full time and work stupid hours there's no career progression so it seems a bit pointless. We can live comfortably on DH's salary, there will have to be some belt tightening but I'd rather that than the alternative situation with DD feeling like she's the prize in pass the parcel.

I didn't see the end of OBEM so missed the forceps bit, was that the girl with the bleached hair?

RunningKatie · 15/03/2012 21:02

I missed the first 45mins of OBEM, so I saw the forceps bit but was clueless about all the back stores. DD decided that 8.55pm was the time to shout for mummy, little poppet.

I am 21y + 193m.

Happy birthday for yesterday Fuzzy

RunningKatie · 15/03/2012 21:03

Back stores? Back stories. Sigh......

You can go off people you know jjkm Envy Wink :o

gallicgirl · 15/03/2012 22:52

Don't worry jjkm - we're British so despite the horror stories of teenage pregnancies, we are in fact all very old mummies. I think the average age for a woman to have her first child is now 30.

RunningKatie · 16/03/2012 20:25

Aw bless jjkm, but as Flubba said, you can go off people! Wink.

OBEM clashes with the new series of the Apprentice next week, ghastly tv scheduling as DH is away so I could watch both of them. Need to find a way to record things, off to google Freeview+ boxes & the like.

Flubba · 16/03/2012 22:21

you can always watch 4od and bbc iplayer for either of those progs I imagine. - def. for The Apprentice...

gallicgirl · 17/03/2012 15:47

Depends how fast our broadband is though. Ours is dreadful so don't bother.

running we have a HD freesat box which records and it's brilliant. I was sceptical when DP said he wanted to spend £200 on something to watch telly with but it's so useful.

skips through fields of daffodils, kicks the heads off them, singing "lalalalalalaaaa!" while sticking fingers in ears

Fuzzywood · 17/03/2012 23:08

Grin Bubba
I'm off to bed but will be back with dragons, leeks and more daffodils in tow tomorrow Grin. My mum and dad have been known to send me copies of the Western Mail following previous glorious victories, I'll put a photo of it on my profil just for you Bubba if one arrives!
Night!

Flubba · 18/03/2012 06:31

dreams of dragons getting heartburn by eating too many leeks, hiccupping fire, thereby burning all the daffodils in the valleys and leaving Wales with just a few sorry sheep shagger and dodgy rarebits to its name
