Yeah E is happy to be held by pretty much anyone. The odd day she'll make strange but not much and i hate when she does it as i feel so sorry for whoever is holding her!! and things with dp and i are brill thanks!!

memphis83 · 25/04/2011 19:15

trudyla dont think its normal to have to enrol them that early but around there you have to, my brother was on his list as baby x when step mum was 6 months pg he doesnt start til sept!!! and on the question about being held, L is happy anywhere, will go to anyone literally

Chulita · 25/04/2011 19:47

trudyla we're just pondering the surveyor's report at the mo and are going to ask them to knock something off the cost. We've also got a query about the garden so it's a bit slow at the mo. S doesn't like other people, he's even funny about DH. If he's in a jolly mood he'll be fine but if he's even slightly not jolly he wants to be on my hip.

mlic I'm with you, S has been whingy all week but yesterday and today were the pinnacle. DH and I really snapped at each other earlier but it's just cos we're sick to the back teeth of listening to S cry all the time. DH got called into work right as we were getting the dc to bed so he's not getting any unwinding time tonight poor bloke. I'm going to sit here digesting my beetroot risotto and homemade hot cross buns and find some rubbish on tv to watch.

mlic the machine makes the dough, I just plop it in blobs on a baking tray and cook them :) Your tea sounds delicious! I'd love to try making cannelloni but I've never made pasta before. Sorry your two little boys are still so ill, just miserable for you. I'm going to comfort eat chocolate too, just remembered we got given easter eggs last week Grin

tsc sounds a right day for you, that sucks big hairy balls about the scooter, I never understand how people can do that when it's so obviously a little girly's toy...

TSC Sorry about your shite day. Can't believe someone stole a little girls' toy.

Here's what I ate today and here's why I will put on loads again this pregnancy:

Bowl of cornflakes with grapes and strawbs
2 ham sandwiches
waffle with apple sauce, 1 cafe latte
1 ham sandwich, 1 salmon sandwich, half a red pepper, 10 slices of cucumber, spoonful of green bean salad
4 cream eggs
2 glasses of squash (no added sugar)
1 cuppa tea

memphis83 · 25/04/2011 21:20

tsc what bastards!!!
right what i've eaten today (its a lot worse than normal)
a cereal bar
a toasted teacake
2 slices of toast with pate
chicken in a tomato sauce with pasta and 5 dough balls
a small easter egg
1 cup of tea and 1 glass of squash

i dont normally eat chocolate, i havent eaten biscuits for 2 weeks ive stopped baking to avoid temptation!!! but i know i dont drink enough or eat enough fruit (probably 1 fruit a week!!)

L has only just gone down! I bet he still wakes at 5.30, how do I make him sleep later??

mlic
1/2tsp yeast
250g strong white flour
1tsp sugar
25g butter
1Tbsp milk powder (I just substituted some milk for a bit of the water)
1/2tsp salt
1 egg
100ml water
1/2tsp mixed spice
1tsp cinnamon
100g fruit
My machine has a thing you put the fruit in and it adds it later but some have a beep setting to let you know when to throw them in, not sure how yours works but once the dough's made, divide into 8 balls, allow to rise til double(ish), pipe a paste (2Tbsp water, 2Tbsp flour) in a cross or top with thin slices of shortcrust pastry, bake in preheated oven at 220C/Gas 7 for 15-20 mins.
While still HOT brush with sugar glaze (40g sugar, 4Tbsp water boiled for a few mins)

tsc bowl of shreddies with raisins, followed by half a bowl of rice krispies
Fox's jam cream
4 Crackerbreads loaded with butter, jam sandwich, crusts from L's sandwich
2 hot cross buns
beetroot risotto, yesterday's leftover stir-fry, peas and sweetcorn
creme egg
And that's why I'm only losing about a pound a month despite running most days.

Chulita · 25/04/2011 21:40

Oh and memphis S goes down without a peep between 6 and 6.30pm and he still wakes around 5.30am. I've started ignoring him and letting him cry til about 6am and he's beginning to wake a bit later (5.45 the last few days but it's a start!)

Sorry - that's probably typical of my eating in amount but not that typical in actual content as I only have hot x buns at easter Grin and i wouldn't normally have all of that for lunch. I'd tend to have something like noodles, miso soup and veg for lunch.

Dinner-wise, I always eat a mountain of vegetables with something.

i'm not really a snacker when not bf but would pretty much always have 1 'treat' (9 times out of 10 that'll be a slice of home-made cake or a cupcake or 2 as I'm not a big chocolate eater and don't really eat much else that's sweet) and 1 glass of wine a day.

Nearly a whole (smallish) easter egg
Oops!

Sorry to hear about c's scooter, tsc. I'm with you on the hair pulling, it does my head in.
