July 2010: C'mon threadbabes: eat like MLIC's; drink like TSC's; smile like Memphis's; laugh like Cakes's; crawl like nearly all of them (except Cake's)... but mainly: sleep like Spireals

tsc could you take them both out to a park or something? Then C can run off some steam and F might go to sleep in the pram? or the fresh air will at least make his crying not quite so loud. Sorry it's so rubbish round yours at the mo

MelissaM · 28/04/2011 14:39

Hi ladies. Just quickly checking in. On way to my cousins after 6 days with my parents in north yorkshire. Did type a long post on our 2nd night but it didn't post for some reason (v patchy signal). Going to a street party/bbq tomorrow while we're with my cousin.
Found out this morning that E has a place at our 1st choice primary school :)
Will catch up properly when I'm home but thx for missing me cake

That's sounds fuck-awful tsc. hope you get a break with dp being around this weekend.

welcome back melissa. glad all is ok!

Just uploaded a pic to fb of my nextdoor neighbours railings - they've put flags up all along them which properly made me smile [csmile]

What is it with babies and electrical stuff?!!!

malibustac · 28/04/2011 19:02

hey ladies

Thanks for your responses. Went to the docs and I have been reffered to the weight management scheme. This may take some time so in the meantime I am going to do food diaries (trudyla that link would be great) and keep up the exercise. Portion control may be a problem so also going to buy kitchen scales so I can make sure I am within my limits.

I'm just heading to the park with dp and R to burn off some more calories. Will catch up when I'm back.

Kk R took a head dive off the sette today but she's fine. How's E?

Trudyla · 28/04/2011 19:47

Evening ladies

MLIC and stac the website is called www.fitday.com/

You will have to sign up for it but it's free. It's an American website so you have to sometimes rethink and google what they might call certain foods (for example not courgette, but zucchini). You can find all the foods you had in a day and put them in and it tells you the calories and nutritional value. At first it's quite a bit of work but then it remembers your recent foods and since my diet doesn't change that much and I usually have porridge with fruit in the morning and similar staples for lunch, it gets very easy after a few weeks.

You can also put in your goal weight and when you want to achieve it and it tells you how many calories you should cut out per day to get there. And it has graphs and everything. BTW I'm not earning commission or anything with this site Grin I just freaking love tidy lists and stats and graphs and numbers.

HTH

My friends for the zoo cancelled on me and wanted to go out round here instead. As soon as M saw them she started crying (I have no idea why) and wouldn't stop until they left even though we went to the playground and everything. What a shit afternoon after I'd been really looking forward to it Sad

Just had lots of marshmallow fluff to make myself feel better. It worked.

Sorry about your shit time tsc. Remember, it won't last forever.

Hope your day improved after the early wake up WSS.

Nice to see you back Melissa

kkfairybrains · 28/04/2011 21:44

brill news on the school melissa!
tsc thats really shit. really hope you get somewhere with the hospital next week
trudy sorry you had such a crap day :(
stac brilliant that you've been referred. if you don't find the website i'd really recommend slimming world :)
E and i are sitting watching a film. she's in bad form since her SECOND fall today :( dp's brother was holding her 2 hands earlier while she was standing and let go of one and she leaned to get something and smacked her head off the table.

kkfairybrains · 29/04/2011 00:00

CakeandRoses · 29/04/2011 00:11

malibustac · 29/04/2011 03:31

Tsc you poor thing, hope your having a better night. We're here for everything.

Melissa great news on school and welcome back. Did you have nice hols?

Kk I am thinking about slimming world is it easy?

Cakes are you's having a street party?

Its ds's birthday today and at this time 12 years ago he was 2 and 1\2 hours old and I was completely wiped out from 5 days of pain then a ventouse delivery. Thank goodness for ecs or R wouldn't be here. Can't believe my boys growing up.

WhatSheSaid · 29/04/2011 03:43

Happy birthday to your boy Stac. Hope he has a great day.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. He is still asleep.

Wss that should be 4 days and just realised how dramatic that sounded my pains started on the monday and I had him on the thursday. Well wort it though.

R woke twice so she is getting there. How W's ok mlic wee soul.

Anyone doing anything for the wedding? I like most want to see the dress then its shopping with J great how they prefer to buy their own stuff as they get older

Chulita · 29/04/2011 10:52

I'm really sad, I went for run before anything started happening and then DH took the 2 lovelies out for a run while I sat in the bath, ate toast, drank tea and watched the stuff on my laptop balanced on a stool. I've now retired to the sitting room Wink and am snuggled under a quilt watching men trumpet the queen. I might just stay here all day Grin

mlic hope W picks up a bit. S has been a bit vomitty too the last couple of days which is no fun at all. He's definitely under the weather at the mo.

Happy shopping stac and happy birthday J!

WhatSheSaid · 29/04/2011 11:13

G just blimmin woke up as the bride was about to get out the car - had to live pause it Grin

CakeandRoses · 29/04/2011 12:28

i'm loving the wedding but shed a real tear or two at the thought of William's mother not being able to be there SadBlush

no street party here tho there had been talk of one a couple of months ago, no-one got round to it

happy birthday J stac. bet those years have sped by

how's w now mlic?

meant to say trudy, it's pretty average to count to ten at 2.5yo but it does seem amazing when you've got a 9mo baby that they'll be doing stuff like that in no time at all! I just looked at the notes i took about his progress and he was saying lots of words at 1yo. can't believe that A and the rest of our threadbabes will be doing that in only a couple of months time. So far she's only really saying dada tho F and I have a desperate campaign going to get her to say Mama and F! Grin

how's things there tsc? I'm very fussy about people drooling over my soft furnishings. you wouldn't do that would you? Wink

OP posts:
Chulita · 29/04/2011 12:35

cake words at 1? Shock L didn't start signing til 14 months and no real words til about 18 months. S says dadadadadadadadad and mumumumumumum which I take to mean daddy and mummy.

I think we're way off proper words yet, so I think we will be more on schedule with chulita's L here. I don't mind though, at least I don't have to be careful of what I say yet. Not that I fucking swear all the time, you see.

Happy Birthday to J stac Hope you all had a nice day.

I was the same about the wedding cake (ha, wedding cake. See what I did there?) I had to think about how emotional it must be for William as well, going the same route, to the same place as the funeral was.

Sorry about E's fall day yesterday kk. How is she today?

Has W's day picked up MLIC?

Not much to say for myself today. Am Feel very fat so will start my calorie counting soon again, inspired by my post last night.

M really likes her food and keeps opening her mouth and eats quite a lot, but she is making these weird groaning noises all the way through the meal. Does any other baby do this?

Have a nice Friday evening all.
