I liked the CRESH acronym more than FESH so have used it. Welcome all ESH to your final stop on the journey. Rest your aching lady bits, try one of the many gin based cocktails, and try to molest the gorgeous waiting staff.

Thanks for all the skin info. Called the doctors and they can't see us too next week so I will try and see if they have any cancellations and get seen sooner. In the meantime I am not sure what to do? Cut out dairy? Him and/or me? Bodge bodge bodge. Will check out allergy section and have sent HI to supermarket enroute home from stables. I am keen to see a nutritionist myself. Would prefer to go on recommendation but guess it's not a service many people use.

oki what does miniO survive on?? Has his eczema completely gone or is it more that it's under control? MBs pitched up at three months. My mum told me that I was given sleeping medicine as a kid to knock me out to stop me itching in my sleep. Sounds like I was permanently tranq'd!!!

MBs latest trick is to sort of lock his jaw and repeat to fade whilst checking that he has an audience! Makes him look kinda crazy, kooky, weird and in need of some special help.

CurlyCasper · 24/05/2011 08:25

is ginhag around? Hope you survived yesterday. I lost most of yesterday to hospital and work, but today started very early...

Cosmosis · 24/05/2011 14:19

It?s quiet here today, is it because we are all in the deli peering up lozza?s cervix??

CurlyCasper · 24/05/2011 14:40

yes Grin

also because I have been actually doing some work for a change. But I have just been informed that the child has starting taking steps on her own! No more than two, but it's a start Smile

Cosmosis · 24/05/2011 14:47

yay squeaks!!!!

CUNextTuesday · 24/05/2011 14:59

Wooo hooo! Like across the open floor or round furniture?

CUNextTuesday · 24/05/2011 15:00

Wooo hooo! Like across the open floor or round furniture?

CurlyCasper · 24/05/2011 15:04

she already does round furniture at speed. No, this was a case of SFF letting her hands go and her taking two steps unsupported before falling over. He called to apologise that I had not seen it Hmm

CUNextTuesday · 24/05/2011 15:52

Aww well done the Squeaker!!

cheggers · 24/05/2011 16:40

yes - i'm another one who was loitering around the deli staring at lozzer's cervix.

my first mn post in aaages - and i realised why as i smelt the burgers burning in the kitchen Hmm

anyway - hopefully will pop back properly when i get a chance for the eczema chat.

my big baby has patches on her cheeks which is ruining all the photos concerning me greatly.

congrats to casp and squeaker - you have yourself a proper little toddler Smile

CluckyKate · 24/05/2011 18:59

Yes, congrats Curls - is a very fast progression from two steps to two hundred and everything in the house has to move up another shelf Grin

CurlyCasper · 24/05/2011 19:28

aw, thanks for cheering on my wee monkey. Unfortunately, I have yet to see any steps myself. But I have seen her attempt to scale the TV unit, climb more stairs, and get on to the sofa without anything to get a leg up on. My shelves are going to have to be very, very high Wink

But if she is going to walk soon, should I be getting her some shoes? And how is that going to work when her feet are too small even for some 3-6 month pram shoes? I have only heard of Clarks doing little shoes. Any other suggestions?

I love shoe shopping, I do.

CurlyCasper · 24/05/2011 19:28

jeez, that was a bit selfish. I forgot to say a big hello! to cheggers. How's the double trouble doing? Running rings around you?

SilverSky · 24/05/2011 19:37
AlpinePony · 24/05/2011 19:54

Well done squeaker! Grin

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 24/05/2011 20:31

Hooray little Squeaks! I can't believe there are walking toddlers in thishere creche.

Silv re weaning, am also confused but atm am offering nork at 10.30 (if awake, sometimes he sleeps through) and 2.30. Often little/none taken. The other day I offered nork after lunch as he didn't seem to eat much. Would be interested to hear advice.

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 24/05/2011 20:34

Hola Cheggs! How are your lovely twins? What do I need to dread know for the 8-12mo period?

Is Gin ok, does anyone know?

AlpinePony · 25/05/2011 06:21

VAG/cheggers We definitely need more photos of your CRESH baybees please! :)

We will shortly require a new fred.

Official day off today. Maestro has been up since 5:30, been at the onions (bottom draw in kitchen), turned off the cable connection and lunged for the bog brush whilst I was sat on the loo. Oh, and I need to work. Wtf? That's a crappy day off. Hmm

Cosmosis · 25/05/2011 09:09

silv are you talking about dropping milk feeds? Advice is leave them to drop them in their own time, don?t make them. I found once he was on 3 proper meals a day, Artie dropped them pretty quickly tbf, but not all baybees do.

SilverSky · 25/05/2011 13:36

Aye cos! so just offer and eventually at some point he won't be interested!?

Cosmosis · 25/05/2011 13:43

Depends how many other times he feeds really, and is he cueing, or are you just offering because you think you should? If the latter, and you are happy with the amount he feeds, so happy for him not to feed then, try not offering and see what happens.

Milk is still supposed to be the majority of their diet at this age, I try and make sure Artie has 4 feeds a day.

Cosmosis · 25/05/2011 13:47

I stopped the afternoon feed because he shifted his naps so it was when he had it, so now he just goes has his tea when he wakes.

SilverSky · 25/05/2011 17:14

He doesnt really cue unless he's on my lap then he'll boob dive. Yday he hardly wanted any and today he had a bit of a milk fest but hasn't really slept. HV said to keep offering.

Bloody drs are bloody useless. Am so hacked off. Basically was told use steroids and piriton indefinitely!!! WTF!!!? I'm going back next week and am going to insist on referral. Seems my surgery are very cost aware...... Won't even prescribe Aveeno. oki if we could chat that would be top.

Pls to advise finger food ideas.

Tbh am feeling pretty shit. Have eaten half an Easter Egg. Waiting for HI to get home and then I'm off out.

Cosmosis · 25/05/2011 17:24

I must admit, I find it hard to recognise cues other than tears these days, it was a lot easier when they were little! I suppose that?s why we?ve ended up feeding to a loose routine ? otherwise he?d only feed in the night. I think it sounds like you?re doing fine as you are, just go with the flow ? remember they?re all different and also some days will be hungrier/ thirstier than others.

Sorry you?re feeling shit. Is there another doc you can see?

Finger food ideas; toast (always a winner) Artie really likes satsuma segments atm as well, those heinz biscotti things, sticks of roasted veg / steamed veg, porridge fingers, sticks of cheese, sticks of cucumber, strips of chicken, rice cakes with stuff spread on them (philly a winner here), breasticks & dips (hummus etc), raisins (depending on pincer grip), potato wedges

SilverSky · 25/05/2011 18:21

It's almost like if I lay him back on my lap it then triggers him to think "I'll hv some if that thanks". I'll keep as I am and see what happens.

HI not home yet so looks like won't be worth riding.

Ta for finger foods. Pincer grip is ok tho he tends to shove whole fist in gob and then can't reach food. Might steam up some veg and let him have a go on that. Do you break into smaller bits? I think he's started to learn to chew and it's prob me holding him back!! Got loads of treaty snacky stuff in for him! Should just give it to him.

Prob be same quack but am gonna be more persuasive!!
