The CRESH Creche and Spa - future home of all ESH

I liked the CRESH acronym more than FESH so have used it. Welcome all ESH to your final stop on the journey. Rest your aching lady bits, try one of the many gin based cocktails, and try to molest the gorgeous waiting staff.

nightie night time. he doesn't know anything about nighties AFAIK.

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 22/05/2011 15:03

AIBU to update fb status that Clint was just sick in Daddy's mouth. TSF thinks I am. Heated debate. Clint egging me on....

SilverSky · 22/05/2011 18:52

Update VAG you would not be troo ESH if you didn't! Wink

Righty-o! Anniversary truly over and back to normality. WTF to do about MBs eczema. Steroids worked. As soon as stop using them it's bloody back. Fuck-a-Rama and the poor thing is all itchycoo park as you would expect. Guess I need to go back to the doctors again. Anyone know if it's worth asking for a referral to the hossie?

CUNextTuesday · 22/05/2011 21:03

Go and see a homeopath. About 13 years ago I had the world's worst eczema all over the insides of elbows and knees, eyelids, ears, nipples, wrists. Sometimes I had to call in late for work because I couldn't open my arms out enough to get clothes on. Was agony. Went to see homopath, sorted it out in 4 months and it has never ever been back. Troofax.

PS. I am a scientist and therefore inately sceptical of quackery. I was desperate to avoid a lifetime of steroids though.

ginhag · 22/05/2011 21:12

Update from House of Gin...

Still feel weird and emotional. May go to bed soon. Or smoke some crack or summat Confused

vag hahahahahahahahahahahaha. That is all Grin

CluckyKate · 22/05/2011 21:16

What washing powder are you using Silv - only ask cos Persil non-Bio brings LC out in hives & Fairy is the only one we can use.
I guess you need to find out what is causing the eczema so perhaps a referral to a Dermatologist would be one step to getting you there. In the meantime have you tried Aveeno cream - is oatmeal based which is very good for dry, itchy skin.

Two lots of jabs Gin - you are very brave....chocolate buttons at the ready!!

Vag that is truly repulsive...pliz to reveal what Clint had eaten beforehand??

Ooooh - cluster-lays going on in the Deli

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 22/05/2011 22:06

Final score: Clint 3, TSF 0. Clint had eaten Annabel braised beef for the first time but vom was white suggesting yoghurt was part that bounced. Poor TSF, first poo at baby swimming yesterday, then vom in mouth, then poo in bath. He does not have Sunday feeling after this weekend.

Cluster lays, hooray!

SilverSky · 22/05/2011 22:41

Where to buy Aveeno?

CU will look into the homo side of things. Thank you. Clearly steroids are not the answer. Feel so sorry for him and its just getting worse and worse. Did go into a health food shop and the boffin nice lady told me that I am probably to blame as I am bfing and due to my own ishoo that a nutritionist is the only way forward and that I am to cut out dairy. I'd rather have advise from a proper person than Ms Health Food Shop random.

Has rock&roll jived her baybee out? I Don't think I have her on facecrackers. Info plz?

AlpinePony · 23/05/2011 07:48

silv How often do you bath him and which products are you using?

VAG Clint is eeeeeevil, what do you mean first poo though? Do you mean TSF has only just done his first poo or TSF was holding the metaphorical reins when he pooed in the pool?

How is medee, is she OK?

SilverSky · 23/05/2011 08:27

Bathed every other night and use Weleda Calendula Baby shampoo and bod wash. Tis all natural. He looks a mess and he's scratching like mad again and started attacking his face again.

CluckyKate · 23/05/2011 09:09

Blardy hell Silv - health food shop assistant can fuck the fuckity fuck off. Aveeno can be purchased in most supermarkets, Boots, Superdrug etc.

Cosmosis · 23/05/2011 09:23

Have to say, health food lady may be right, sorry, eczema is often made worse by dairy, I know my next-door neighbour when growing up had horrific eczema and his was made much much better when he cut out all dairy. Obv you would need to not give him any dairy in his solids either.

This weekend Artie has been pulling himself up on our hands.

artie hasn't yet pooed in the pool, I am hoping he won't!

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 23/05/2011 09:27

Alps TSF always takes Clint swimming, this is the first pool-poo. TSF philosophical today. Will be going swimming next week, and not moving abroad after all....

Silv sounds nasty, poor MB. Clint has puffy eyes again this morning, debating whether to go to quack or just change his sheet in case there is pollen or detergent irritant.

Ginster hope your day is progressing smoothly.

AlpinePony · 23/05/2011 09:29

Tbh, have heard the same as cosmosis - that dairy + eczema are not friends. Time will tell I suppose during weaning - assuming you don't just give him dairylea triangles - although I'm not sure they've been anywhere near a cow either. Goat products? Isn't it rennin (? rennet) in particularly can react with some people?

CluckyKate · 23/05/2011 09:41

Agree there might be something in the dairy theory Cos but to insinuate that Silver is at fault is what gets my goat.

It's rennet Alps - is also an ingredient in C&O crisps hence why they are not suitable for veggies. Smokey Bacon, on the other hand, is Confused

LC has never pooed in the pool [proud]

okiecokie · 23/05/2011 09:44

Ooo excited to hear of more lays! Tis great news.

Gin we have that clock too. Fucking annoying. I got the RAGE after a pushing of the telling time button too many. We now have the Gro Clock which is same same but different.

Sillv I know a bit about this. Mini Oke suffered from very bad eczema from about 5 weeks old and we only got it under control when he was about 7 months. It seems foods can trigger very bad eczema and the health food woman may indeed but a little correct in that he has been getting traces of stuff through your milk. Now you have started weaning he could be getting foods in him directly that he is not tolerating well. In our case we were referred to hospital (his skin was very bad) and he was tested at 5 months. We discovered he was intolerant to diary, soya, oats, nuts, sesame, wheat and eggs. So once I started weaning at 6 months he was straight away on a restricted diet excluding all these foods and his skin improved. I stopped breastfeeding at this time too and he was given formula called Neocate which has no cows milk protein in at all. So my advice would be to speak to your GP and demand a referral to a peadriatric allergy specialist. Some GPs are a but sceptical but it is worth being a pushy mother! Ask for skin prick and RAST blood tests. I am not saying that this is 100% the cause of his troubles but at least it may rule out food as the issue. Mini Oke has grown out of his issues with diary, oats, sesame and soya but we still do not give nuts, wheat or eggs. Aveno is good but it is oat based so was not possible for us. We use the same Weleda stuff as you now (but it does contains sesame oil)

I always have said he is intolerant to certain foods as we haven't known the full extent of what will happen if he had them since his diet has always excluded them but on Saturday we experienced the most allergic reaction so far when I accidently gave him pasta containing wheat flour. We spent the rest of Saturday in A&E. We can now safely say he is truly allergic to wheat Sad. It was most scary but he was given steroids to sort him out but he was very poorly for a couple of hours until the drugs kicked in. He was sick, struggling for breath, swollen face and eyes, came out in hives all over and was very red and hot and limp. What is worse is that usually allergic reactions get worse not milder so I am off to the doctors today to get a couple of more epipens to make sure we have easy access to them. Call me if you want to discuss. You will also find the Allergy board in the Health section a good source of advice on eczema too.

okiecokie · 23/05/2011 09:48

Fact for the day only 4% of children suffered with ezcema in the 1970s and now it is 18%.

Cosmosis · 23/05/2011 09:53

yes agree the "fault" bit not nice of her.

wow, I am one of a speshul 4% then :)

AlpinePony · 23/05/2011 09:58

Aha! It is rennin I was thinking of, it's the enzyme within rennet. Can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday but can remember A-level biology. Wink

okie I think it's very interesting, the stats about increases in such allergies. Wasn't there something out last week which said children with pets are less likely to get allergies? There ya go silv, you're just keeping the house too damned clean, encourage the dog to do more face-licking.

Bear has yet to poo in the pool or the bath - but did any of you see that post a few weeks ago about the toddler bath episode? An innocent mner had her two in the bath with lots of bubbles. Merrily chatting away to her husband and fished out the soap from under the bubbles. Rubbed it in to toddler's back and shoulders... only to discover was not actually a bar of soap but rather a surprise poo, unleashed in to the bath like Free Willy! ShockGrin

Medee · 23/05/2011 11:58

The eczema discussion is interesting - MrM developed it as an infant, and still gets it on his hands periodically, so a bit worried EA might develop it at some point.

We're trying to get her to sleep more in the evening; have realised she's not sleeping enough, and we're not trying hard enough to get her down. She slept for a while last evening, but had to wake her up for her meds - oops. SO need some tweaking of the nighttime routine. HV told us to keep her at no more than 5 hourly intervals between feeds, until checked with the doctors due to her history. Hopefully we'll get the OK soon to let her sleep as long as she likes - that said, I woke up at 4am to wake her up and my vest was soaked through.

CUNextTuesday · 23/05/2011 15:19

On a more trivial note, Hom entered Rastus into the Babyface competition without my knowledge. Whilst it isn't something i would ever do, i'm irrationally annoyed at the sparse number of votes he has . Please vote for him?

Thanx!

CUNextTuesday · 23/05/2011 15:20

He's the top picture btw. Next to the radiator

Cosmosis · 23/05/2011 15:39

asrses blocked at my work, will get on tonight.

CluckyKate · 23/05/2011 17:20

ewwww Grin

Done Cunty. Not sure HOM used the best picture tho - a close-up would be better . Boy, there are some ugly babies there.

You are right Alps....sadly I don't remember that from my A-Level biology nor what I had for lunch yesterday.

CUNextTuesday · 23/05/2011 17:33

That's what i said clux, but he can't help his gender. I would have done it better Grin
