I liked the CRESH acronym more than FESH so have used it. Welcome all ESH to your final stop on the journey. Rest your aching lady bits, try one of the many gin based cocktails, and try to molest the gorgeous waiting staff.

Alps I heard stand up pees happen when they are about 3 but plz Gin to correct me if I iz wrong. Mini Oke is a bit vertcally challenged so guess it won't be for a while. Poo in nappy this morning, pees in potty. Half way there. He is at nusery today it is someone elses problem.

I have just roasted a load of veg for my child that hates the spoon. How long do you reckon roasted veg can last in the fridge and what do you reckon about freezing it?

Didn't Moo say before she has set up her own escort business?

AlpinePony · 16/05/2011 09:55

curly I think you're thinking of someone else, I didn't have steak, posh ice-cream and I certainly don't stand up to wee!

medee mn has a "mobile" version which is very handy for chat, however only really shows "threads I'm on" easily although you can drill up (e.g., this is ante-natal, so you can go to the ante-natal, but if you want to look at the property section it's more difficult to find unless it's already active in your convos). It's great for out and and about though.

SilverSky · 16/05/2011 09:58

I agree as am on iPhone. Me wants iPad!

Medee · 16/05/2011 10:04

thanks Alps, must try to find it.

ginhag · 16/05/2011 10:05

'honey's honies' eh okes?? Grin

mooch started stand up wees before 3, but he is tall. Well, tall for his age,he's not circus material or anything...actually thinking about it he used to stand on his plastic step to get the neccessary height. Now he just wops it over the edge of the toilet. Potty training in gin household = buy pants and potty. Put pants on child. See what happens :)

It helps that I am a domestic slattern tho. Same with weaning, that must be a nightmare if, like vag you like things nice and shiny and non sticky...

Medee · 16/05/2011 10:06

found it!

Today's moral dilemma - I alerted my mum to Gransnet - she's made the fatal mistake of telling me her username. Do I register and go stalking check on her online safety?

ginhag · 16/05/2011 10:08

Am enjoying the bundle and sneaky violence btw. Have missed you lot.

okes how old is mini? I can't remember.

ginhag · 16/05/2011 10:12

Defintely stalk meds!!!!

Am glad your gorgeous girl is doing so well. What a scary start you had (massive understatement)

Muser · 16/05/2011 10:16

Gin? Who is this Gin? Don't remember no Gin.

honeymooooster I have been battling the 12 week growth spurt so not saying much. Is always lovely to see you.

Now, would anyone like this small stinky baby who is filling nappies at an alarming rate?

AlpinePony · 16/05/2011 10:16

medee I once gave my mum my username on a horse forum. I had to stop posting (couldn't be arsed to name-change) because every time I posted something in came the cavalry. Confused Also, given the propensity on mn for hate-fuelled MIL threads, you might not want to read it going the other way - i.e., bitching about your husband - or worse still, her describing how attractive he is! ShockWink

Medee · 16/05/2011 10:23

Aye, I wouldn't want her doing it to me, that's true!

Cosmosis · 16/05/2011 10:37

curls yay on finally a tooth!!

medear tell one of us her name and we can stalk for you Grin

rollerbaby · 16/05/2011 11:20

Gin!

okes consider myself well wet fish slapped :)

well blooming hell the cresh is buzzing today

Damn, damn, damn the secret is out. Yes I am a surburban escort for bank managers in polyester suits. Honey's honies? I like. Actually no, it's somefink else but cannot say on here will explain in more detail in t'other place and you can tell me what you think.

All this talk of potty training is scaring the bejesus out of me. Can't I just leave him in nappies for the forseeable future???!!!

Congrats curly on the tooth! Next stop tooth fairy!

I am mildy hungover today due to friends coming round for a very raucous bbq. Must stop with the drunken parenting malarkey.

ginhag · 16/05/2011 12:12

moo honestly it's so much nicer when they're out of nappies. And it can be a fairly painless process if the small person is ready for it. Was genuinely fine for us. Could be different next time mind, am amazed at how different my boys have been, literally from birth!

Medee · 16/05/2011 12:54

Arf @ cos

Cosmosis · 16/05/2011 13:18

Can I ask an aktual kwestion? I'll ask on feeding section as well, but at 9m, how many milk feeds were/are yours on? Artie has;

6.30/7am ish
11am
3pm
7pm
and one night feed somewhere between 1 and 3.

The reason i ask is that he doesn't actually ask for the mid morning one, I just offer it, I was wondering if I should not offer.

In addition to that he has 3 proper meals (weetabix or toast or porridge for breakfast, and then things like spag bol, casserole, curry etc for lunch and tea) and the CM gives morning and afternoon snacks as well - we tend not to give snacks on the days he's with us.

CurlyCasper · 16/05/2011 13:34

cos Squeaks was on 6.30am, 9.30am, 3pm, 7pm and 10pm. She has dropped 10pm now (thank goodness). She has three meals a day, but few snacks. I'm assuming Artie's 11am milk feed is fairly close to lunchtime, so maybe a snack would be enough for him? I can only suggest just not offering and seeing how he goes.

I think Squeaks is heading towards ditching her 3pm milk. I am trying to encourage use of a sippy cup for that feed when she is at home. She's knows how to use the cup, but seems to get bored of it quite quickly and only drinks about half - and there's no big fuss as a result. Also, she doesn't always finish that bottle at nursery. I might try switching it to a snack instead. HTH

CluckyKate · 16/05/2011 13:41

LC was on the same Cossie but without the middle of the night feed - she also had 3 proper meals too, with lumps and everything.

Very annoying at the lack of catching Alps but am guessing she got her exercise being chased around. I had similar probs before I put the mare in foal, although she would always come for food eventually. Is it possible the bad behaviour is pmt-related - hers not your Hmm - assuming it's not teeth.

Potty training was painless for us too....LC had a friend at nursery who was doing it so she copied. By the end of the week they suggested we try knickers on her, cue mad dash to the supermarket to source potty, pants and all that shebazzle. 6 months on we get the occasional accident - only last week she climbed the tree-house at Boxers, pooed her pants at the top and refused to come down the slide (too little to come down the ladder). I ignored hers and TTs shouts, having just taken her for a wee, but sure enough there was a perfectly formed snooker ball of poo nestling in its knicker-hammock...too beautiful to squish [boak]

AlpinePony · 16/05/2011 13:47

Kate I have long suspected she wants a baybee. Confused I've had her at a few yards with honest-to-god stud stallions there and she was a gooey-eyed hormonal piece of hamburger meat. Angry Her boyfriend (gelded at 8 yo!) was sold during the winter and there's no other male horse there right now with the "attitude" and I do wonder if it was him that was keeping her in line a bit. Confused Perhaps she looks at Bear and thinks "hffff where's mine?". Wink Tell us about your ski hol then? I have plans unless I'm diffed. If I book it now I'll get diffed, so I'm going to have to hold my nerve for an october/november booking. Grrrr.

Cossie Just 3 feeds from us, 7am, 1pm and ~9:30pm, his desire for it comes & goes.

curly You may now look forward to her playfully lifting your hand and then sinking her fangs in to it! The dog's tail might get a chewin' too.

CurlyCasper · 16/05/2011 13:57

alps she and the dog are very much not speaking to each other at the mo. Sad Squeaks cries when her face gets licked (she hates getting washed) and the dog cries when Squeaks gets too near to her. Lots of yelpy barking to tell the little terror to stay away! I'm sure they'll be best buds when Squeaks is on her feet and able to play properly. (I hope)

AlpinePony · 16/05/2011 14:25

Bear and little dog get along great, she licks him, he pulls her hair - both could remove themselves from the situation if they so desired. Hmm Big dog however is being a moany old bitch and I don't trust her with him. :( I'm going to put a dog bed in the dining room where he can't get her, she also has access to upstairs - but perhaps not for long.

I'm looking at stairgates - any recommendations?

CurlyCasper · 16/05/2011 14:49

stupidly, we still haven't got one. I keep getting dog to lie across the top of the stairs as a baby deterrent (I know, practical parenting!). Recommendations welcome here too.

okiecokie · 16/05/2011 14:51

Cos 3 milk feeds by 9 months for mini Oke (7,3,7). He dropped the 11am one about 6/7 months as lunch replaced this and then the 10.30pm one he kind of dropped himself by about 7/8 months when 3 meals a day were well and truly established. He didn't drop the 3pm feed until after 1.

Gin mini is 2.6

Alps we have a very narrow staircase so we endded up with the Lascal kiddiguard which is retractable. I lilke it.

We went to a 2nd birthday party yesterday and I walked there with the two monkeys to get them both to have a nap on the way and Mr C drove and met us there later. I only reaised when we were getting in the car to come home that Peppa's car seat was in the lounge at home. So we drove home with Peppa on my knee in the front. Thinking about it we probably should have travelled in the back but having had a glass of wine I wasn't thinking about airbags or in any way straight

CUNextTuesday · 16/05/2011 16:25

I give rastus a desultory bf at around 5.30am when he wakes up, more to try and make him sleep another 30mins really. Then he has an 11am ish and a 3pm ish and then that's it for the day. He does, however, have a milky breakfast ( sometimes with moo juice) and at least 2 yoghurts. I'm happy with that.
