I liked the CRESH acronym more than FESH so have used it. Welcome all ESH to your final stop on the journey. Rest your aching lady bits, try one of the many gin based cocktails, and try to molest the gorgeous waiting staff.

box not my ideal location I must say!

Okiecokie · 13/05/2011 21:23

The house next to the Graveyard was actually very nice. It was mahousive and had 3 (count 'em) large sheds, and an out building that could be converted into a granny flat (to shove the in laws when they visit). But it was just a bit too far away from anything other than the graveyard for my liking. If it was next to a pub and a Graveyard then it could have been a serious contender.

SilverSky · 13/05/2011 21:29

I'm liking the granny shed annexe. V v useful.

Are you still heading for countryside dwellings?

Okiecokie · 13/05/2011 21:35

Yes, I am planning on getting a horse but panicing about what I will do with all my Boden attire Wink

AlpinePony · 13/05/2011 21:36

Durrrr.... swap it for joules!

FannyPriceless · 13/05/2011 21:51

Don't stress about weaning silv. Repeat: 'Until one, food is for fun.' And gag cough is totally normal.

okie Eleven in one day?Shock I am not worthy.

SilverSky · 13/05/2011 21:59

fanjo

rollerbaby · 13/05/2011 22:16

So have you found anywhere remotely suitable okes?

Moo has his solids at 8am and 1130 both an hour after his milk feeds and then 5pm an hour before his last feed. So far this seems to work well and he's having veg followed by fruit at lunch and supper. Have tried the odd baton but it generally gets a cursory lick and then dropped so sticking with purees which he laps up. The poos are not to be believed!!!!

Backinthebox · 14/05/2011 00:05

Clucky and I have just walked past the graveyard. With the torch switched off. And we didn't get jumped on by any kinds of ghosts or pissed up teenagers. A lady I know from the village recalls her brothers lying under hedges in the graveyard and jumping out on aforementioned pissed up teenagers when she was younger. Grin

Silv let him try without the mesh thing. They have a special gag reflex to make sure they don't choke. And you are supervising him eating, right? He'll learn!

AlpinePony · 14/05/2011 06:27

silv Bear didn't get on with the Nuby mesh thing either. Especially after I nuked it and it bent out of shape. Wtf? Hmm I think the mesh thing just made him screw up his face and go "minging", it's got to be like eating a sarnie through a pair of socks. Well done on the strawberry - strawberries are one of those things which people can be allergic to - so it's a good sign! :) Fast forward to peanuts & shellfish! Wink

cunty We did honey yesterday - I'd imagine you've already given Rastus a big pot a la Pooh. I figured yes, there might be botulism in honey - but more likely from an organic farm shop rather than a mass-produced supermarket job. Pls to have go on crown?

I've had two houses by graveyards, loved them. You can't beat a quiet neighbour. Right now we have an old lady next door and on the other side there is a man with CD's and a guitar and a jungle of a garden, yet in the 3 months we've been living here we've never seen or heard the man himself. My kinda people! Grin

CUNextTuesday · 14/05/2011 11:38

Correct. I love honey, and so does Rastus, but a squeezy tube of Gales is going to hospitalise nobody I reckon. Stuart gave him a prawn toast to chew on from our sumptuous carry-out chinky. So there

AlpinePony · 14/05/2011 11:54

Bear had prawns months ago. Not so fast with that crown. Oh and did I mention my uncle tried to give him champagne? Hmm to the hmmety hmm. I also gave him Thai last week at a restaurant. Bear, not my uncle.

SilverSky · 14/05/2011 12:33

MB has tried ice cream ! Knock yourselves out with my daringness !

What shape to cut the strawberry? In half or present mashed?

About to meet a chum for lunch with MB in tow and looks like the venue is busy. Wonder how many people I can piss off with my buggy driving skills. Plenty I hope!!!

okiecokie · 14/05/2011 14:27

Were the prawns raw though Alps?

Silv just wang him a whole strawberry and see what happens. I tried Peppa with them at lunch only to find mini oke has swipped them all off her high chair tray before she go chance to stuff them in her gob. Got a good video of her eating little tree though, may try and post on t'other place.

Moo nothing really suitable. Not stressing though as we haven't sold this gaff yet.

CurlyCasper · 14/05/2011 14:57

where are you all getting decent strawberries at this time of year?

Well, after 10+ months of being oblivious to everything, Squeaks is suddenly scared of the hoover, hairdryer, food processor and balls her eyes out. In the past 48 hours she's gone from zero to crying when I so much as touch the hoover. WTF? and any tips to get past it?

Yes, that's how glam my weekend is looking: housework, food shop, baby entertaining. i might see if I can find non toxic paints for us to play with later.

CUNextTuesday · 14/05/2011 15:43

Bumper strawb crop this year cas owing to hot April - bigger, redder and sweeter as well as earlier. Perhaps you can go to a Pick Yr Own tomorrow instead of hoovering?

CurlyCasper · 14/05/2011 16:34

thanks cu. i went shopping after posting and saw there were some British strawberries there. picked up a punnet and girl appears to adore them! Can't avoid housework, two sets of visitors this week and the place is a shit tip. And I had words with SFF about not pulling his weight, so now determined to set a good example and show that housework and childcare can be combined while the other parent is at work.

okiecokie · 14/05/2011 20:34

Yeah the strawbs are ace atm shame they don't freeze too well.

Well day 1 of toilet training has been a success, not counting my chickens though. We had a trip to the park (while there was a viewing on the house) and managed 3 pees in the potty during the trip. I am sure it will all go a bit pete tong tomorrow when the novelty wears off. It has actually being quite nice being housebound all day (other than park trip). Usually Saturdays are hectic and we are out and about doing stuff but instead we pottered in the garden and did some cooking with mini oke helping. He spent about 30 minutes hacking cutting up mushrooms for a spag bol with one of those child friendly knives.

Saturday night TV is dire and has been for the last 10 years. Why can't those poeple that make TV programmes make something that I would enjoy watching on a Saturday night, I like Spooks, Silk and those 2/3 part murder type things.

rollerbaby · 14/05/2011 20:42

That all sounds v good! Aren't you loving dr who/eurovision??!!

We had a fab day out at the aquarium. Lots of fishies, nice lunch and a happy baby who smiled and squealed all day long. Brilliant.

Hope all are having a good one.

okiecokie · 14/05/2011 20:54

I have stooped to Eurovision. It is rather comedy though.

CluckyKate · 14/05/2011 21:13

Dull, dull, dull....whatever happened to the death-rock & folksy acts???

Good work on the potty training Okes. Part of the battle is getting their little brains on side - once they've decided to do it your halfway there.

Ah, here we go - Moldova Grin

FannyPriceless · 14/05/2011 21:31

okes Potty stuff sounds good. I am frantically reading up on it tonight. Bonnie chose some Lola pants while out shopping today, and when she showed them to Daddy she suddenly said 'I want to sit on the potty'. So far one accident on the carpet, and no wee wee actually in the potty.Hmm

P.S. yes we have pull-ups and yes she will be wearing them tomorrow.

okiecokie · 14/05/2011 22:05

Decided to go cold turkey and big boy pants all day, however he was so attached he insisted in wearing them over his nappy to go to bed tonight.

rollerbaby · 15/05/2011 08:25

So is the complete non acknowledgement of my posts this week some kind of penance for not being on here much? Maybe I'm being overly sensitive but it does seem that way. I'm sure iggy wouldn't get the same reception. I don't have the most interesting stuff to say perhaps but since I've been working since baby moo was 3 months old I don't have much time to myself anymore. I try not to bring that on here but it would be nice to feel welcome when I do. Clearly it is not of interest though.
