Grin Thought I should start a new thread as it certainly ISN'T snowing any more and those 4th Birthdays are a-coming and some have a-come!!! Smile

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to those I have missed (sorry) - hope you had splendid times Smile

Could someone perhaps bring up the stats thread? I think someone might've posted it on the snow thread actually, so I'll take a quixk look in a sec .....

Hello!!!

Sorry I didn't make it on in April, I kept thinking I would but never quite made it Blush Too many school and bank hols!

But Happy belated Birthday to all our 4 year olds!!!!

Dylan has got into our first (and only) choice school which is a relief. The school's catchment area runs North to the surrounding villages so even though I live just a few mins walk away I am outside the catchment area by just a few yards and as ds1 and dd are now at the juniors (same site but seperate school) D doesn't have a sibling there either so I was a bit worried. I know quite a few people who didn't get in this year, one mum told me she heard they had 167 applicants for 98 places although not sure if thats true or not but feeling very lucky still!

I am most definitely not doing anything to do with uniform yet though. He may be more than ready for school but I am most definitely not ready for him to go! School changes them and hes so lovely and cute and adorable I just want to keep him like this forever! Its a good job I'm having another baby in a few weeks or I think I'd be in pieces come Sept!

Pesha · 10/05/2011 21:05

Oh yes - TV. Dylan was getting very much into Ben 10 until he worked out how to use the remote (all numbers have rubbed off so not as easy as you might think!) and discovered the Disney Channel. We now have endless Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Agent Oso thick, Little Einsteins and other crap I can't remember the name of but can probably sing along to! As well as Peppa Pig. Oh and he came home from playschool with a dvd of that new rara lion thingumy, which would be fine if it weren't for Lorraine bloody Kelly narrating!

CaptainDippy · 10/05/2011 23:56

P is a massive Octonauts fan and obsessed with Disney Princesses too, esp Sleeping Beauty!

Ooooh, yes, please do come and play on the beach and collect dinky uniform Bramshott, that would be lovely indeed!! Grin xx

Great news about D and school Pesha. Does that mean no-one is still waiting for news? Because we found out so late about school places here, I still don't know anything about induction visits, parent's meetings etc. What's the betting they will all be in the week I am working almost every day?!

CaptainDippy · 17/05/2011 21:52

Of COURSE they will Bramshott Wink

Hi all, haven't been on in a while but do think of you all and keep up with some of you while I nose around on Facebook!
Nothing much going on with me really. Gp tried to halved my dose of anti depressants. I was really keen to try but it didn't work for me so I am straight back on full dose again unfortunately. Feel a bit sad about it, but would rather be taking them and feel ok I suppose.

Hope everyone is ok xx

Bramshott, I don't have that information from D's school. Could you ask the school about it now, and explain your situation re work? Maybe if you can't make the dates they can arrange to see you at a slightly different time.

CaptainDippy · 19/05/2011 20:09

Yes, you usually can, Elkie Smile xx

My gorgeous little DD" is going to be 6 in about 5 hours time Shock How did that happen!!!??????

CaptainDippy · 22/05/2011 11:15

Perhaps I was drunk!!? No idea how THAT happened!!!?

Alas, she is 6, sigh Wink

I am very grumpy as a seagull just crapped in my hair, just as we were getting to church and I have had to come home again and missed them singing to my baby girl and everything. Humph. Sad

Ha-ha - I have this parenting lark cracked! N suddenly announced at 8.10 this morning that we had read her homework wrong, and she had to MAKE as well as draw a Doctor Who gadget Shock. However, by 8.30, she was despatched on the school bus with a model of said gadget, swiftly knocked up out of a shoe-box and two toilet roll holders!! Thank goodness she had designed something simple!!

oooggs · 25/05/2011 12:30

Bramshott - you star & super mummy Grin that wouldn't have happen here!!!

Bramshott · 25/05/2011 18:17

Ah Oooggs but you have much more on your plate than me Grin! Imagine if you just had E, plus a well-behaved 8 year old . . .

TBH, usually I wouldn't do that either, but we had a bit of time in hand this morning, and she had a fairly clear idea of what she wanted to do. I think we were both amazed that it turned out so well!!

Bramshott · 25/05/2011 18:18

Oh, and I got the stuff from school, and luckily only event (parents information evening) is in the week when I'm working, so either DH can go to that, or we can miss it.

oooggs · 25/05/2011 19:08

oh my goodness - a well behaved 8 year old and E would be great or J would be even easier Wink

oooggs · 27/05/2011 20:44

popping off to Somerset for bit, back soon x

Pesha · 27/05/2011 21:20
Grin
oooggs · 27/05/2011 21:34

hey pesha - off to Minehead, lots of day trips planned - saving my visit to you for when you have a newborn for me to cuddle Wink

CaptainDippy · 28/05/2011 10:22

Have a great time oooggs Smile

We're all ok here, apart from now being carless as car failed it's MOT so badly we can't afford to have it fixed Sad Ah well, we'll cope ......
