HAPPY BIRTHDAY to those I have missed (sorry) - hope you had splendid times Smile

Could someone perhaps bring up the stats thread? I think someone might've posted it on the snow thread actually, so I'll take a quixk look in a sec .....

Thought you'd all like to know that they've finally turned my hair grey.
Actually I've turned my own hair grey with a home hair-dye disaster. I look shocking Shock GM has recommended colour b4 from Boots so that will be my first port of call tomorrow morning. We're going camping (lovely forecastHmm) tomorrow but i cannot bear the sight of myself so have told dh I'm going nowhere until I've tried to lose the dye.

Iris is currently howling in her cot, second night running - does not bode well for rest in a tent. I'll let you know how it goes.

Oooggs I don't want the thread to have "had it's time" Sad hoping everyone is on holiday.

I've got to deal with the dc now, but will come back later and post a better message. I don't want this thread to go either Sad

GM is a wonder, my hair was a normal colour again when we set off Grin

Camping was a moderate success. Iris does not like sleeping in a tent - talking, wandering round, singing "Twinkle twinkle" until midnight. So everyone was a bit shattered by the time we got back. Stayed in Hawkshead nice site and the village is very pretty. We went sailing on Tuesday with the ILs: first time on a sailing boat for me and the dc. it was calm and sunny and surprisingly fun. I have a feeling a canal boat holiday will be on the cards next yearHmm From 3am wednesday the rain came down solidly. We had a day on the Windermere steamers and at the aquarium at Lakeside then decided to pack up and leave after dinner on Wednesday evening. We had planned to just get up and go on Thursday morning so only missed out on another night of little sleep and trudging to the loo with George in the rain in the middle of the night Smile DH already thinking about our next trip; I think he's got the bug. Will need to check the forecast first next time.

We're home too, and I'm very over-excited to discover that I seem to have won a 3 night family hotel break by filling in the Mumsnet census! 8 years I have been entering competitions on this site and I NEVER win! Trying to contain my excitement until the company get in touch to let us know where we could go to and when . . .

We also Eurodisneyed briefly after a week in a gite, and it was fun, after the first two hours of painful adjustment to the crowds, the queues, and the realisation that O was going to be terrified by even the mildest 'baddy'!

Looking forward to a lovely trip to the seaside to see Dippy and her girls next Thursday.

How's everyone else? Can you believe that in just 3 weeks our babies will be starting school?!?!?!

We are off to Disney World towards the end of the year and Jack doesn't like rides Hmm Erin although loves them. Grandad doesn't like them either so Jack and Luke can stay with him Grin. Not sure about baddies though!!!!!

Yes 3 weeks yesterday and they start school - bring it on Wink I doubt I will be saying that when Luke starts

ds doesn't start school til 19th Sept!! dd is back on th 5th though so could be fun when he realises as he is fully expecting to go to school with her in September and won't undertand that he has to wait 2 weeks. But it gives me another 5 weeks to label everything Grin

Ooh blimey - don't think I could stave O off till the 19th! She starts on the 7th (N on the 6th).

First trip for school shoes today - got N's, but nothing at all in O's size so they are ordering some in for her to try at the end of the week. Sigh.

Nobody has posted for more than a week Sad
I'm sounding gravelly voiced today, might be sexy if it wasn't combined with me coughing up lumpy green stuff every now and again. Feeling relieved that ds doesn'st start school until 12 Sept; home visit next week (Wed) then half days w/c 12th and full days from 19th. The whole house needs gutting, cleaning and organising and if I feel like this, it won't be happening this weekend.
Hope all's well and someone is still reading.
