CUNextTuesday · 17/03/2011 13:30

OP posts:
FannyPriceless · 17/03/2011 15:05

Early menopause polly? Ha ha ha!
??
Nope, to quote Morrissey 'that joke isn't funny anymore.'Hmm
(You all know I'm trooly ancient. I find your talk of 37th birthdays repulsive.)

muser What a horrible night.Sad Though I firmly believe all is going to be OK. And what I say goes.

cunty Yes, it is cos you is female.

AlpinePony · 17/03/2011 15:25

haha fanny! REEEEEEEPulsive! Grin Are you coming to meet curly and I in the back of beyond?

cunty How's that duvet day looking for tomorrow? Look at it all as honing your executive management skills obv. without delegation Hmm),with all the dual-responsibilities, multi-tasking and 22 hour days ( and get your fucking family (who live with you) to learn how to operate a fucking take-away menu/nip down to Waitrose. Angry

Does anyone have nice/good news?

AlpinePony · 17/03/2011 15:32

PS Equine-lubbers - Robinson's are doing that stripy Joules Weatherbeata in the sale for 44 quid. I want. I don't want. I want. I don't want. I cannot make a decision. TWICE I've put it in my basket. Her 25 quid one from this year is still going strong. If I don't buy the Joules one she'll ruin this one the first time I use it again. If I do buy it then it'll sit in the loft for 3 years.

FannyPriceless · 17/03/2011 15:43

alps Is quite a mission to get from here to the end of the known world with two nippers. Though I am dead keen to do it! Current status is I am reserving my decision pending energy levels / effectiveness of anti-ds / child illness factor* closer to the day. Leaning towards a yes.

okes I meant to comment re terrible twos. I received a MN update saying 'what to expect at 2.5'. It was spot on with the 'age of negative' description! (Sample: Do you want toast? NO I WANT CHEERIOS! WAH! Right, I'll get you some Cheerios. NO, NO! NO CHEERIOS! WAH! etc). The most surprising thing is it said this phase should be over by age 3! (And any FESH who has information to the contrary needs to stfu and let me believe this for the sake of my sanity.Grin)

  • with Bonnie in nursery part time we are always only a day away from the latest delightful surprise infection. Joy.
SilverSky · 17/03/2011 15:58

cos yes iggs is well. The baby is cute and very entertaining and has a fab toothy grin. Had vag and I laughing and smiling a lot!

owlbooty · 17/03/2011 16:28

'Ello FESHlets :) I have come to ask a quick question.

Have any of you lovely people done the hippo birthing thing? And if so, is there a CD/DVD etc you'd recommend?

I'm planning in advance as suspect it will take me the next 20 weeks to reach a state of ultra zen-like calmness before the baybee rocks up.

Cosmosis · 17/03/2011 16:46

I have the marie whatsit book and cd if you want. iggs sent it to me, so only fair I pass it on.

Muser · 17/03/2011 17:08

I used the natal hypnotherapy cd booty and liked it a lot.

We have been summoned back to hospital. They want to get another urine specimen but with a catheter. They're still wondering if she has an infection or if it's the samples being contaminated. I am wondering why they didn't just do this last night rather than subjecting my PFB to all this. Currently sat in A&E waiting to be seen. I hate hospitals.

Medee · 17/03/2011 17:15

oh dear, Muse. Hope it is a quick visit.

Cosmosis · 17/03/2011 17:17

oh arses Muse :( poor baybeee

PollyPoo · 17/03/2011 17:47

Oh Muse that is rubbish. Sad. I hope they get a move on and little BobKate is ok.

SilverSky · 17/03/2011 18:02

Absolute muppets muse! Hopefully a flying visit and you'll be home soon.

FESHs - how long I'd reasonable wrt not talking to shouty HI?

Muser · 17/03/2011 18:30

It was quick, home now. Living so close to the hospital is a good thing. We wait for results again.

CluckyKate · 17/03/2011 18:59

Oh crap Muse - that's blimmin' rubbish. You're being very brave though. Fingers crossed this trip to A&E is a less stressful and they get to the bottom of this quickly....take heart that Bob is looking and feeding well which must be a good sign.

No likey Weatherbeeta rugs Alps - shoddy rubbish IME - and not keen on fashion rugs either . I prefer to spend my pennies on more pricey stuff which lasts longer. That said, DHorse doesn't trash her stuff and still has the ones I bought when I got her 10 years ago Shock

Also ver jealous of the London meets but good to hear the recent FESHes - Muse, Drom & Cho - are getting aht an' abaht Smile

SilverSky · 17/03/2011 19:11

I like Amigo, Rambo and Premier Equine.

AlpinePony · 17/03/2011 19:24

Oooh la-di-dah - get you lot! Wink My tack is Stubben only, but I'll let her wear any old crap rug as it'll only last one season. I've also just bought a PINK lungeing cavesson for 10 quid, and I really don't give a fuck if you all think it's common!

SilverSky · 17/03/2011 20:14

Trust me no one will nick that! Grin

AlpinePony · 18/03/2011 08:02

Oh I am cheap. If I can get something for the horse for a tenner which would normally be 30 quid in a grownup sensible colour then I'll save the 20 quid and buy a bottle of Bombay Sapphire & some lemons! Wink If she wants to wear made-to-measure by Stubben from Stubben elk leather she's going to have to compromise elsewhere. Vivian Westwood coat, Primark knickers.

boxy Are you all packed and set to go? I hope you have a lovely, wonderful time. Pls to fill minibar with gin in anticipation of FESH ski trip next year? Grin

Muser How is she this morning? Still happy and chirpy? Any news yet?

I'm so excited, I'm driving up to Schiphol later to collect my haggis boys. Grin curly Bear now has a Scotland rugby top! Can't remember if I said or not, but there are TWO other Scottish kids in his creche. Who'da thunk it? Most of the expats around here are NATO so don't need to use the local facilities. They started creche monolingual but within months were completely bilingual - as much as a 4 year old can obviously! Probably not going to discuss the in's and out's of nuclea fission.

cunty Are you alive under that mountain of teary snot-covered tissues?

owlbooty · 18/03/2011 09:33

Ooooh. Cos that would be ace, thank you v.much :) I will attempt to send you my address. Then after I've had my calm and painless sneeze involving white fluffy towels I can pass it on to the next person.

Muse buggeration, poor Bob. Getting uncontaminated wee samples from small baybees is damn near impossible. Hope you get clear results back this time round.

Cosmosis · 18/03/2011 10:03

alps as you know, that is how I caught the bilingualness, only english child in dutch playschool. This emersion lark works wonders for the lingo. Besides they're busy learning all new words at that age and have no concept of languages being different. In my memories, all my friends spoke to me in English, I used to switch languages mid sentence Grin

CUNextTuesday · 18/03/2011 10:41

Yeah i'm alive. Minder won't take him today despite him being better cos of da rools about fevers. So i'm stuck at home whilst a mountain of work demands my attention. Cannot Work From Home because of childcare issues cos it's not allowed, and fair enough i would get nothing done, so i'm going into work in a bit to hoover up some to do over the weekend. Not allowed to take rastus any further than the foyer at our offices, but lyckily my niece works in my office so she will sit downstairs with him whikst i gather my chattels. It's so COMPLICATED!!

Muser · 18/03/2011 10:57

Morning all. Baby still happy and cheerful. Should be getting results back sometime today I hope. Currently trying to work up enthusiasm to go to breastfeeding cafe drop in thing. But it's raining. I don't like rain. However, really need to get someone to check my latch as one of my nips has started going white for a bit after a feed, which I feel is perhaps not the sign of a good latch. Must brave rain.
