Have I scared everyone away?! I know I've not been on lately but are you still talking to me?? Starting to get paranoid.............

FriggFRIGG · 09/03/2011 20:13

meelllllllyyyyyyyy !!!!

i missed you!

MammyG · 09/03/2011 20:35

Saoirse What a lovely compliment Thank you! They are lovely and sometimes my heart just jumps watching them! Cant believe my luck really.

Had the auctioneer here today to discuss selling the house - its all becoming a bit too real now! Felt a little glum today as a result. I know financially it will be better for us (although because of the down turn not as fab as we had hoped) but its so strange.

Also Im off chocolate! Im still sane today but the weekend might be dodgy!

mellymooks · 09/03/2011 22:39

Sorry Mellymooks, a bit frantic with preparing for my Ofsted inspection and was at a preschool committee meeting last night. But still talking to you Wink.

Meeting was actually really depressing, the local schools are changing from three intakes to only one so the preschool may not survive and at the least will have to make redundancies or cut hours as the nursery in the school will take children earlier, not the kind of decisions I want to have to make really :(

On a more positive note this is the first time I'm up tonight Grin, have been listening to Luke chat nag gurgle for about 10mons before he actually started to make any noises he was hungry! He'd done a poo so wasn't happy that mummy arrived and didn't feed him straight away, he's going about 3 times a day now, huge change from once a week! Been spending every spare moment on my SEF for my inspection and have been massively neglecting all the children but I keep telling myself it's only until I finish it or next Friday whichever comes first Wink. Hoping poorly babies are feeling better.

mapletrees · 10/03/2011 08:35

I'm not talking to you melly

mapletrees · 10/03/2011 08:35

Oh, damm! GrinGrinGrin

patito · 10/03/2011 14:58

Hi

Finally back "home" again. Had a great time with family and am always really sad to leave them, but then I get back and it´s 20º Grin, so the feeling doesn´t last long Wink.

But for all this nice weather we´re also full of cold, been to DR´s tpday for Maia´s 6 mth check up and got them to check out DS as well, as he´s been caughing all night. Maia´s fine, still a bit on the "light" side, but so energetic it´s unbelievable. She spins, rolls, left here in the lounge and she made her way to the kitchen Shock, and is already seriously pissing off DS going and nicking his toys Grin. Second you Frigg I dont want a mobile baby yet!.

Thats crap cinammon, hope the preparations are going smoothly for you.

On the funny things they say here, was in the playground yesterday with Maia BFing in the sling, and a 6 yr old girl said (literal translation), oh does she suck your tits!!!. Also there´s a coffee called Bonka Grin, (oh it doesnt take much fo me)

patito · 10/03/2011 15:02

Hit enter instead of preview and just looked back over for spelling Blush. And Im supposed to be an English teacher Hmm

Debs75 · 10/03/2011 16:04

Lucy is having a rough day. she has caught conjunctivitus off dd2 and has a hacking cough. She is grumpy and tired all the time. DD2 is still recovering so she is demandiong my time more. i need a rest.
Still no moving or rolling but plenty of eating

watersprite · 10/03/2011 18:15

Maria-Ann is still full of a cold and has been quite misrable today, another bad night last night of not sleeping and coughing :( all these littles ones poorley hopeing all the colds soon pass :)

Maria-Ann has started growling Hmm not sure why but it's quite funny when she does it. She is also rolling more often now but her neck isn't quite strong enough to bring her head fully up when on her stomach.

Weather is really crap here, strong winds and even hailstone there is also supose to be snow by weekend I hope NOT!

lumpybananapuree · 10/03/2011 19:46

Evening lovely ladies! Hope all the poorly babies are getting better!

Had a hectic week here. We've had the hall stairs and landing decorated. It looks fab! Olly finally rolled back to front on tues has only done it the once tho! Front to back is getting more regular and he's even woke himself up because he's rolled onto his back & won't sleep like that!

My great auntie died on mon Sad she was 79yrs but its still very sad. And my Grandmas very ill in hospital. She's been ill for a while now. I won't bore you with the details but its been a stressfull few weeks that are resulting in a formal complaint to the hospital. They sent her home, no better than when she went in and in all honesty, if it wasn't for my auntie caring for her and me having to arrange district nurse input she would have died. She was readmitted to a different hospital and has finally been diagnosed with Colitis. The problem is, its all taken so long that she's so weak and frail we don't think she'll recover Sad Sad

Ds1s been on top form this week.
me- where does your poo come from?
Ds1- My winky!!!!!!!

Me- what does a lion say?
Ds1- Rahhhhh
me- what does a monkey say?
Ds1- ooo ooo ooo!
me- What does mummy say
Ds1- Get on naughty stool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Olly 27 weeks!

JodeyBogeyPicker · 10/03/2011 22:07

lumpy that's awful! Sorry for your loss. Big hugs. On a brighter note, your ds1 sounds fab! Love his mommy quote x

I hope the poorly babs are starting to feel better.

I just want to declare (something I'm sure we all feel) that I am utterly obsessed with my bab! I just can't believe how much love I feel for him. It's stronger than anything I ever imagined. I am sitting here getting withdrawal symptoms as he is asleep in his room and I want to talk to him. He is just so interactive now! I love making him smile and laugh. He melts my heart and makes me soooo happy.

cinnamon when is your ofsted inspection? If it hasn't happened already, good luck.

MammyG · 10/03/2011 22:30

lumpy so sorry Big hugs from me too.
Jodey I hear ya! I was putting Phoebe to bed tonight and just felt like I hadnt had enough time with her today - I had an hour out without her!

Phoebe is singing!! So funny! Especially as she keeps her finger in her mouth while she is doing it! We had a band. DS1 was on his guitar (he just plucks doesnt know how to play..yet!) DS2 was singing and picking the songs and Phoebe throwing out notes.
Also got a box of lovely clothes from a friend in America. I never thought I would be so excited opening presents that arent for me!
Cut both boys hair today too! So cute that the love me doing it! Wait until they will be telling me to bugger off with the scissors! Painting rocket ships tomorrow! And dentist for me - please let the pain end I dont think my tum can take anymore painkillers

cinnamongreyhound · 11/03/2011 04:23

So sorry lumpybananapuree but glad ds1 has been brightening things up for you!!

I have it next Friday JodeyBogeyPicker, they are quite good with childminders as they know we are often out and about a lot they do give a date so you're not just waiting in for them for a whole week or they arrive to fond you not there!! I know exactly how you feel and it's amazing how you have that capacity for more than one baby!! Luke melts my heart every day, he has so many smiles but I know he saves the best for me Grin. I love that first smile of the day when I go to get him up. I miss ds1 when he's at school and we have such lovely chats, he'll always be my baby although he says 'mummy I not the baby, baby Luke the baby!'.

Hope Lucy, Maria-Ann, Jack and Arlo are all getting better.

Other than paperwork I've had a really good week, the kids have mainly been good and I have been stress free ( perhaps it's because I have stress elsewhere). Going to ds1's school tomorrow with the snake to show his class then we have my friends ds party on saturday and hopefully swimming Sunday.

FriggFRIGG · 11/03/2011 08:34

hugs from me too banana .xxx.

good luck cinnamon not that you'll need it of course Wink

DD has been very poorly,im not normaly one to panic, but as she started to get worse yesterday the only word racing around my head was

meningitis,meningitis,meningitis

i was really freaking out as a girl i knew with the same name and age as DD died from it after only 1 evening of being ill a few months back, its so sad and has haunted me ever since.

any way her temp would not not come down and she was really drowsy and confused...so we eventually double dosed her with ibuprofen/calpol and her temp plumeted
shes still a bit confused and as soon as the medicine where s off shes really sick again, but the dr saw her (she was fine of course for that 10 mmins) and wasnt worried,in fact he was very blase and made me feel like i was compleatley over reacting.

so im keeping a close eye,but it means weve been indoors for 3 days and are all going a bit stir crazy!!!

Arlo is really crawling now! especially if there is food that he wants to get at Grin
he is also scoffing food down faster than id expected!
and still not gone back to sleeping though little shite Angry Grin

lumpybananapuree · 11/03/2011 09:13

Thanks everyone. Frigg when it comes to poorly children I don't think overreacting should be allowed to be used. Like you said about the little girl you knew, it can happen so fast!

Good luck cinnamon hope all goes ok.

Jodey same here! Its nice to have a break when they're asleep but after 30mins I want them back!

FriggFRIGG · 11/03/2011 09:59

have you heard about japan?
my sister is in taiwan.

fuck fuck fuck.

comixminx · 11/03/2011 11:59

Blimey, it's all hard stuff isn't it - ill babies (how scary for you in particular, Frigg!), tsunamis (I heard it on the radio before I woke up properly, horrible, sounding almost like a bad dream at first), death (so sorry about your great-auntie and your ill gran, banana). On the bright side when our babies smile at us it does make such a massive difference, as said above... Aphra is full of a horrible cold and having some difficulties sleeping, she had a temp on Wed night but it came down when we gave her Calpol and she's now getting through it ok, but it's clearly not pleasant for her. Her eye was all gummed up this morning but once it had come unglued and she had woken up properly she gave me a beautiful smile. And she can definitely move herself when I put her down for tummy time - backwards rather than forwards though!

SeaChelles · 11/03/2011 14:11

Well Olly is joining the poorly bus.... Sad

He has a temp of 37.9 and still increasing, has projectile vomited everything he has eaten today and dry heaves when theres nothing left to come out. Can't even get any calpol down him as he throws it straight up.

Diarrhea in nappies all day and there was a small blood stain in his last nappy - but cant tell if he has a cut on his bum from all the pooing or if it was in his wee as he hasnt done another wee yet... Confused

He has literally been awake four only 2 hours since 7am....poor little boy. Got docs appt at 15:40 so we'll see what they say. Just trying to give him loads of snuggles til then.

Sorry cant catch up more. Hope all others with poorly ones are ok. And love to lumpy - will try and give you a bell later.

Olly 23+5

comixminx · 11/03/2011 14:20

Oh no Chelle! good luck for you & Olly and here's hoping he gets better v soon.

mapletrees · 11/03/2011 14:46

Wow, there are a lot of poor poorly LOs. Hugs to all of them and hope they all get better soon. frigg I don't think you over-reacted, there's nothing wrong with playing it safe when the possibilities are so awful. Much better than 'under-reacting'. Have you spoken to your sister yet? It says on the news that Taiwan is ok, protected by the undersea topography, so I'm sure she's fine.

banana Sorry to hear about your great auntie and grandma.

watersprite · 11/03/2011 17:10

lumpy sending you hugs, sorry to hear about your auntie and hopeing you grandma makes a full recovery.

Good luck cinnamon Smile

seachelles that's awful, hopeing Olly gets better soon. Smile

frigfrig you can never be too careful and dont let the the doc make you feel like your over reacting they have a way of making mums feel like that. Hopeing dd is feeling much better soon Smile

Hopeing all the little ones get much better soon Grin

Maria-Ann is much better now, she just has a cough that irritates her at night. She is still growling at random things Hmm and loves her food, she gets all giddy when she see me coming with it.

Maria-Ann 25+3

JodeyBogeyPicker · 11/03/2011 17:38

Quick question regarding portion sizes!!! I have always cooked for harlyn but yesterday I gave him a jar of organix fruity chicken for 4-6 months. The amount was huge and I only gave him two thirds of the pot. He would have eaten the lit but I just thought it was a lot mire Ghana what I have been giving him. Should he be having that size portion? He only has 4 bottled due to sleeping through x

lots of poorly babies. Hope they all feel better soon x x
