Bicnod sounds promising to me.... and I know all about wobbly days (and sometimes even just hours) Wink

So I've got the prelim packing done in the M. Bed now too. :) and the kitchen cabinets are nearly cleaned out of food (all dishes except Moo's are the flat's) so the kitchen is done with prelim too. So I'm 60% done, just the living room and dining room to go and they're really about as full as the kitchen was so doing really well. :)

It was still up in the air about coming back and after having some trouble with getting stuff sorted and then today after suddenly realising how much money it was actually going to take us to get it sorted we're back to the very original plan.
We're driving back. On the 30th....
It's crazy. I know.
But I'm actually really excited about it and was feeling a bit sad not to be able to road trip through France again. Plus since my parents are going to be here and coming back with us we get to road trip with my Mom in France (don't care so much abt doing it with my Dad tbh as he's seen lots of places) but Mom's not been hardly anywhere :) It's going to be lots of fun. We figure it'll take abt 16 hours in total. So we're going to split it up and travel about 6 hours a day.
What I'm not crazy about it being here for the last minute packing and CLEANING needed to hand back over the apartment... but we'll figure something out...maybe Moo and I will hang out in the park for a couple of hours or something while the others sort it...

In a related story DH's current company suddenly removed the renewal (he was to sign tomorrow) saying that there are financing issues with the project. So we're not coming back to Germany :) Granted this means Dh is out of a job again, but he's been fielding so many calls from other work in the UK that actually this is ok we think. (this also gives us the time to take a few days over coming back rather than thinking that he had to do it all during the weekend and show up for work on Monday...)

BB I would suggest splitting the difference if you can. I think you'll find you'll have a lot 'to do ' which will keep you occupied until the babies arrive. PLUS if they're early you'll be more than ready for them. :) And you'll be able to relax a bit too without all the pressure on you to accomplish xyandz in short time frames. :) But do what you feel is best of course...
oh and I'd order the pushchair ASAP just encase anything goes wrong with the order...I'm sure you're far enough along. x

Glad to see you're feeling better Bebe. Your post had 6 (SIX!) Smile in it. That makes a lovely change. Good news you're not returning to Germany too.

Finger crossed for you, Bicnod.

PuzzleRocks · 15/07/2011 11:32

Good to hear things are looking up. And yay for road trips. I love road trips.

BabiesBolat · 15/07/2011 13:00

Hello yay bebe - you know its clear how much being in Germany has affected you when you think about how happy you are even at the thought of coming home! Grin

I'm in need of post purchase reassurance I just spent £1500 on a twin buggy and the car seats!! BlushSadGrinBlush!! And it was completely the opposite of what I had decided I was getting! I think I need to lay down! Smile it's very pretty and very practical but jeez Louise soon totted up!! It arrives in 2 weeks or so! Feel relieved that it's done and I'll at least have something to bring them home in!!!

It's a scorcher today! Hope everyone is enjoying the sun and Bic you're cuddling your little one rather than trying to hoof it out in this heat!!!

Xxxx

I think 'nuff said' gives SeniorWrangler's identity away Grin

Bicnod, where's that baby?

ZuluWarrior · 16/07/2011 08:39
Grin
ZuluWarrior · 16/07/2011 08:41

I have a Laura.

Bicnod, sorry Blush Blush. What news with you?

She was born on Wednesday night. 6lb 14oz and beautiful. Long, sore but ultimately very satisfactory water birth. Now I feel like superwoman. And last night I had a G+T [hgrin].

Back soon with more.

FrogmellaMoonbeam · 16/07/2011 08:54

Congratulations Zulu!!

Just seen the photos on FB and couldnt remember who you were so came on here to see if anything had been posted!

Shes gorgeous and you cant beat a water birth you are indeed Superwoman!

Well done you xXx

PuzzleRocks · 16/07/2011 09:15

Just saw her pictures too. Beautiful. Many many congratulations. What does her big brother think?

Bicnod · 16/07/2011 09:23

Well done Zulu she's lovely lovely lovely Grin - I'll let you off the hook for beating me to it Wink

I think my waters went this morning - getting trickles (enough to soak a pad) every time I stand up (sorry - TMI Blush). Phoning midwife back at 10am to report progress. No contractions yet. Send some FW vibes at my cervix please!

PuzzleRocks · 16/07/2011 09:51

Ooh exciting. I'm calling 4.35pm tomorrow.

SeniorWrangler · 16/07/2011 10:48

Congratulations! And thanks for coming on to tell us!

Good vibes to Bicnod.

'nuff said' and 'crikey' are probably my favourite phrases, Schulte. In RL as well Grin

ZuluWarrior · 16/07/2011 11:33

Yay Bicnod! That is all sounding very like early labour indeed. Maybe you're busy right now!

I have to admit that a quickie started off my contractions Blush. DH was delighted.

Keep us updated and good luck!

BabiesBolat · 16/07/2011 11:52

CONGRATULATIONS ZULU and YAY Bicnod!!! - Ooh puzz, good call, I am going for tomorrow morning.

Bicnod · 16/07/2011 13:32

Ok, am back from hospital. Definitely waters gone. Now need to do everything I can to get baby's head down and get contractions going as otherwise they want to induce me tomorrow (and I really really don't want that). So I'm currently on gym ball swinging my hips and am going for a long walk this afternoon. Keep those vibes coming please! :)

BabiesBolat · 16/07/2011 14:10

Oooh sending vibes!! Maybe you could try Zulu's trick... Is DH home? So exciting!!!!!!

PuzzleRocks · 16/07/2011 16:49

Lunges chickie, lunges!!! Or Salsa dancing. Vibes aplenty coming from our house.

SeniorWrangler · 17/07/2011 08:19

I went 40 hours after spontaneous and dramatic rupture of the membranes, so you can always talk them in to letting you have longer - almost all babies are born within 48 hours with no ill effects, some even a little bit longer.

But you've probably had it by now!

BabiesBolat · 17/07/2011 09:47

Any baby yet?!???!

Zulu Laura is gorgeous and I LOVE the biker baby babygro where did you get it from?

Just went for a swim - am no slimmer and my hips are shot so wont be doing that again!!!

Off to buy new baby monitors. K's going in his big boy bed tonight (I'm sure it's very late for this) but the monitor lead got lost in the move!!!

bebemoo · 17/07/2011 19:01

Yeah for the new babies! :) :) :)

PuzzleRocks · 17/07/2011 20:35

Congratulations Bicnod xxxx We need more details from you and Zulu.

AuldAlliance · 17/07/2011 22:50

Congratulations to Bicnod and Zulu!!!!!!!!!!!

BabiesBolat · 18/07/2011 07:23

Ooooh yes puzz, we do need more details, like birth stories and lovely tales of big brothers looking after their new siblings (to give me hope that K won't throw these two across the room when they arrive Grin!).

Loving all the baby pics!

I AM SO TIRED!! My right hip as gone so can't sleep on my right, my back or my front so have been sleeping on my left for about a week and it is so uncomfortable - especially with the dance party going on in my tummy in the early hours of the morning! the twins naturally lay to the right so forcing them on the other side does not a happy pair make! And it was K's first night in the big bed and he was fine but I must have been up every 45 minutes checking that he was breathing and that the goblins hadn't come and taken him away! He did wake up at 2 and 3.30 but as soon as he saw that I came in the room when he called he zonked again! DH had to leave for work early so kept putting his alarm on snooze between 5-5.30 which drove me insane until I had to force him to get up, by which point I was wide awake - I am like a walking zombie. Still I suppose it is all helping me get used to waking when the twins come along and need night feeds! And I've just eaten 4 yogurts and I feel sick. RANT over!

PuzzleRocks · 18/07/2011 09:02

Do you have a couple of dream genies you could make a nest from?

BabiesBolat · 18/07/2011 09:18

Oooh do they work? Was looking at one yesterday. I got an old long pregnancy pillow thing from a friend but it's so soft it doesn't really do anything!
