Frigg D'oh! I meant Andover... (predictive text on my phone, sorry!) I only just saw that now. I usually hop on mobile MNet when out and about, but for some reason, at the weekend, my service provider decides I am under 18 and locks me out of MN ?! Grr! Hmm I'll re-clarify on t'other thread too, to arrange meeting up etc Wink

Banana, I can sympathise totally! Don't get me wrong, he does buy stuff for me, but it's never what I ask for. He does get me a card, but doesn't always manage a present. I he bought me some socks this year, as I spotted them and decided I deserved some new ones.

But out of my long reasonable Christmas list, helpfully provided with 6 weeks to spare, I got...

None of it. No nice boots, or slippers from New Look. No sling. No book vouchers. No computer game

I did get a lovely watch, but that was an impulse buy in Germany when we were there for a weekend in December. He forgot I hinted about a kinetic one, but at least it is very waterproof, as I am very good at forgetting to take my watch off in the shower/bath/in contact with water in general! :o

I've given him 2.5 years notice for what I want for my 30th though, so there's no excuse! (An Audi R8 or equivalent for the weekend, and a trip to Paris or Rome)

Happy Valentines Day everyone.
Me and DP are so unromantic that we both had to dash into town to get our gifts today. I got a box of chocs and a rose and I got him some chocs and a mug. See very unromantic. I like the idea of being appreciated and loved but not the pressure of proving it on a special day.

Well Lucy is 6 months old in 1 hour and 27 minutes. she is currently having a mammoth mid-day nap, she caught dd2's cold last week and has been a bit off since. On the plus side she is sleeping through again. She goes up at about 10.30 with me and sleeps till 6-7am. Next step is to get her in her own cot.
She is trying to roll over and to do sit-ups. She pulls her head up so hard and is itching to sit, although when she does she flops forward. She is also teethng and likes nothing better then to chew her Dads fingers.

Saoirse DD1 used to poo like that sometimes. She didn't poo much as a toddler, maybe every few days instead of every day. when she was 18 months old she had a bad bought of constipation so she was fed more fruits, more water and fibre. Luckily it sorted itself out, I didn't want to have to give her meds for it.

Sassy Good to see you back for a flying visit. Very impressed with the new bedtime routine.

Got to go I am making soup and it is bubbling over

SeaChelles · 14/02/2011 13:48

Afternoon everyone,

Olly had his first night in his own room last night and slept from 7:15pm - 5am without waking! Fed at 5am then went back down til 6am. Hopefully he likes it in there. He only woke at 6 because he had managed to roll over on to his front for the first time! Typical that he does it a) the first night in his own room and b) so that we miss it!

He has also just gone down in his cot for his first afternoon nap without Mummy.... :( and :) I feel all lost without him cuddling in...! He went pretty much straight off to sleep but dont know how long it will be for...?!

I got some lovely flowers and a card for Valentines yesterday and DP is working all day today, so another night on my own today!

Olly 20+1

lumpybananapuree · 14/02/2011 15:59

Chelle we can be sad and lonely together tonight! Meet you on fb!!! bout 7.30ish?! Just been to the co-op for a bottle of crabbies & some nuts!!!

I'm glad its not just me. I think I overreacted a bit. Picture the scene - valentines morning, friend rings bubbling over with excitment to cancel todays play date cos wonderful dh is taking her to a spa. I, until then, was in a fantastic mood. singing away. I hung the phone up & went back to what I was doing. Cleaning the toilets! What a bloody cinderella! The more I thought about it, the more I got upset! Don't know what I expected but we've been together 10 years this june & he's never done anything spontaneous or romantic!

Anyway. once I snapped out of my self pity I've had a great day. I cancelled all afternoon plans too & did painting, sticking, playing, walking sleeping & general "mummy with 2 amazingly fantastic wonderful boys" stuff. Oh & Olly really is sitting up well now. I was able to leave him to get the camera & take photos before he weebled!

Have you all seen the competative mum thread?? Very funny if you've got 3 hours to read it!

Monster post. Can't believe we're heading towards a new thread already!

Oh my friends in labour!

Olly 24 weeks tomorrow!

cinnamongreyhound · 14/02/2011 16:31

Luke is exactly the same re: sitting Debs75, so cute! He can sit for 10-20 seconds before he falls to one side bit even lifts his head off the bottom of the bath when he's in there.

Yay for Olly SeaChelles!! and really glad your day improved lumpybananapuree.

I think ds1 has a chest infection, had awful cough for few days and was really struggling to breathe this afternoon plus he has high temp. but dr won't see him til tomorrow :(

22 weeks/5 months +1 day

MammyG · 14/02/2011 21:12

Hellew! Well being the uber romantic couple we are we both forgot it was Valentines until MIL popped up to offer to babysit should we want to go out! We just laughed - we started going out 9 years ago today and DH proposed 7 years ago today - you would think we would remember it Hmm At least we are as bad as each other I guess and not heading out as DH is still working now! Got a cute little card tho from Phoebe to her daddy! Dotey! The boys already made cards last week.
Tomorrow is dads anniversary - where did the year go? Cant believe he never met Phoebe. She has no granda at all poor thing. I had a very special relationship with my grandad and feel sorry she wont have that. Still tho I really believe he watches over her specially. Life is some rollercoaster eh? Now must find chocolates (and set a date for diet!)

lumpybananapuree · 14/02/2011 21:27

mammy I was just having a nnoes over our 1st ever thread & realised it was your dads anniversary. Such a lot has happened for you since then. Will be thinking of you all tomorrow!

FriggFRIGG · 14/02/2011 22:50

FriggFRIGG · 14/02/2011 22:51

beaditAli · 15/02/2011 10:48

Valentine's Day must have been a day for first rolls in the cot seachelle Jack did it too during his morning nap! Soooooooo cute when I found him all confused but happy hunched by the cot bars.
Sorry V day was a no go for a lot of you. I have to stick up for the male species tho and say that my DH is brilliant. Won't give details in case anyone's day is ruined but he makes more effort than me Grin
Jack also bought his Gran and Grandpa a card and flowers and gave DaisyBears a card Wink Wink and she reciprocated! Grin

Feeling like I need to recharge myself today..... can't be bothered to do much at all Blush.... maybe I'll get on with making your goodies lumps seachellearella and Frigg

JessemyParkson · 15/02/2011 12:03

Ooh, and a couple of these Biscuit Biscuit

cinnamongreyhound · 15/02/2011 12:11

I think Luke must be the only one not to have either rolled or got a tooth :(. I thought he'd be hugely active as he's much smaller than ds1 but I guess I just make lazy boys!!

Ds1 is much better today but 2 of my minded children are ill and still with me, makes it very hard work and I'm sad for them being dragged around on school runs when they should be tucked up with their mummies, the joys of being a working mum :(

mapletrees · 15/02/2011 13:56

(Sorry cinnamon) Louis has just joined the back-to-front rolling club too Smile. He's been easily going onto his side for a while now but after his nap this morning he went all the way, twice.. First time he had his arm stuck under him still, but the second he managed to get over properly. Still, front to back is still a one-off so I wont get my hopes up for a repeat performance anytime soon. He's getting very good at the shuffling round in circles though. Must start baby proofing my house, arrgh. Brew first though, I think...

JessemyParkson · 15/02/2011 14:19

Random thought, on the Brew, does anyone else think that the MN logo looks a wee bit like a cannibis leaf?!

FriggFRIGG · 15/02/2011 15:42
