newmum001 · 27/01/2011 21:51

Are you all on drugs?? If so please share them around as i would like to be that giddy too!!

Went to my mums for tea tonight as i've been feeling very fed up this week. Every day is the same etc etc but today i went shopping this morning, had to pick a parcel up for my sister from the post office and bought a new top whilst i was in town for mine and DP's date day on Saturday. Dropped the parcel off at my sisters and decided to hang round there for the day as it was a change of scene and Grace loves it there. My sister was at work so me and grace just curled up on the couch and watched telly. Anyway DP suggested i go to my mums for tea tonight on my own to chill out and it was lovely. Watched the soaps in peace, that hasn't happened for a while.

Has anyone else noticed a massive change in babies since they hit four months. Since the day she was born grace has needed constant entertaining. And i mean constant!! But today i sat her in her bouncy chair on the kitchen floor and sorted washing out, washed up, made DP bacon butties whilst he was in the shower and she just sat there watching everything. She has literally never sat and been quiet for 5 minutes before never mind 45 minutes, it's like someone flicked a switch on Wednesday and she's been a dream ever since! I fear im tempting fate by telling you all!

Got my first driving lesson tomorrow im soooooooo scared!!

Nearly weekend ladies, thank god!!

beaditAli · 27/01/2011 21:58

newmum so glad you had such a lovely day Grin
Jack is hit and miss as to entertaining himself...... just about sussing out his optimum times! So glad Grace has given you some you time! Gooooooood luck in the voiture tomorrow! Do a wheel spin! It's a must on the first lesson! xxx

lumpybananapuree · 27/01/2011 22:05

newmum olly needs less entertaining too. I think maybe his attention span is a bit longer! Glad you've had a good day!

Good luck for tomorrow! Freedom, here you come!

cinnamongreyhound · 27/01/2011 22:09

I did send her one the other day when others were talking about her but didn't get a reply chelle1986

I had thrush with ds1 beaditAli so feel free to ask any questions, although there's a slight haze as it was nearly 4 years ago. I don't want my baby to be 4 :(

You can always pass it through a sieve if you're worried about lumps bananasomethingortheother.

lumpybananapuree · 27/01/2011 22:39

lol at bananasomethingortheother!!

Dixiebell · 28/01/2011 07:04

Arlo went to bed at 6.30 last night but up at 9, 2, 4, and 6.30. Argh.

cinnamongreyhound · 28/01/2011 08:27

It seems you can't have everything Dixiebell, good napping in the day= terrible night Wink

Luke woke up at 10.45 I fed him but he wouldn't go back to sleep (very unlike him). I sat with him until 11.30 and he was up again at 3 and then 7 so I'm knackered. But dh and I went for a curry last night which was very nice and he enjoyed his birthday!

SeaChelles · 28/01/2011 08:58

Morning all!

Am changing my name too as am sick of being the only one with a boring name! Am now Seachelles! Formerly Chelle1986! Hehehe. Grin

How are your wine and nut hangovers banana and beadly?! Lol. What did I miss?

Well its 08:45 and I'm done! Breakfast done and eaten for me, Olly and the dog. Washing up done. Bottles for day done. Solids for day - done. Washing in machine, previous washing from machine in dryer, stuff already in dryer folded and away! Time for a sit down and a cuddle with my baba!

He slept in travel cot for first time last night (in prep for night at nanny's on saturday as I said) and he settled himself at 7:30pm, woke at 2:15am for a bottle and then settled himself again until 06:30am. So not a bad night all in all!

newmum - Im with beadit on the less entertaining thing - I have to pick my moments with Olly - sometimes he will sit and amuse himself or watch me for up to an hour - however sometimes he screams as soon as he cant see me. Confused! And glad you had a lovely day!

Lee and I are looking forward to date night on Sat too! Maybe we'll have sex!!!! OMG!!!! lol...... Wink

Olly 17+5

Debs75 · 28/01/2011 10:33

Not too bad a night for us. Lucy napped most of the day after her vaccs but then got very whingy about 8pm and was quite hot so gave her some neurofen. fed her at 9pm, she was asleep for 9.20. DP made me take her up at 10pm and she slept through till 2.30am. One little feed and she slept till 9am when she did a sloppy poo up her back. Hope that is the last of the poos as they are really stinky and explosive.

Lucy likes to sit in her bouncer watching DD2 whilst I do things in the kitchen. She is fine until she sees me then starts whinging for me. If she sees DP she grins at him

lumpybananapuree · 28/01/2011 11:09

Chelle you didn't miss much! Loving the new name! (not as good as mine tho!)

My Olly went from 6.30-5.30! fed him at 6 & he went till 7.30! I think he's better cos the last few nights he's been waking at 2.30 & 5.30! Tobys also started sleeping in till 7.30! I'm being spoilt!

JessemyParkson · 28/01/2011 12:51

I just tried to make carrot puree, and give it to Mary.

Puree making was a success. Mary eating it was not!

She's just sneezed it over me!

JessemyParkson · 28/01/2011 12:51

Mary 4 months today!

cinnamongreyhound · 28/01/2011 13:07

It's such a lovely day here, almost enjoyed my walk taking ds1 to school. Get so hot though pushing double buggy with Luke in the sling. I didn't even get a kiss goodbye today :(

Well, I'm off on my helicopter ride tomorrow, followed by lunch at Pizza Hut. DH has already checked out his widowers pension Confused. Just hoping the weather is as nice so I can see lots, am starting to get nervous now though!

Luke at all his food this morning, have been mixing some veg in with the rice and although he still pulls a face he's eating it all and opening his mouth for the next spoonful (eventually).

Debs75 · 28/01/2011 15:35

Hope you have a nice time in the helicopter cinnamon Envy I would love to do that but I think my constant screaming might put the piolt off.

I am frozen after taking the little girls and dog to the park. DD2 wasn't impressed when we got back and sobbed on the settee for about an hour. They are both watching Blues Clues whilst I mumsnet catch up

JessemyParkson · 28/01/2011 16:12

I don't know what's worse - having cold ears or hearing DS and Mary having a shrieking contest whilst on the floor... Hmm

DS is showing Mary how to roll, but she still hasn't quite got the hang of it, and is telling us at the top of her falsetto voice.

Ooh cinnamon I'd love to go in a helicopter! Was that a present or something?

My DSis and I won a helicopter ride for my dad for Father's day when we were kids, but he never went on it. We thought it was because the ticket never came through the post, but 15 years on he tells us it was cos he was scared!

cinnamongreyhound · 28/01/2011 17:37

Yes it was, I was 30 in November and dh bought me a voucher for a ride JessemyParkson. It's 30 mins and they let you fly if you are capable, so watch out Cambridge!! I am a bit nervous but very excited too.

Kids all gone, so glad as I was supposed to be working until 6 and I am soooooo tired today. DH had the car so I have done 3 school runs on foot with 4 children this morning, 4 at midday and then 5 this afternoon. Really need a week off!

mapletrees · 28/01/2011 18:29

What time will you be up there cinnamon? I'll look up - maybe I'll catch a glimpse of you Grin

Very Envy of the 6.30-5.30 banana. Louis has a bad cold so was up even more than usual the last few nights, poor thing Sad, but I've moaned about his sleeping, or lack of, enough on here...

cinnamongreyhound · 28/01/2011 19:37

I arrive at 10 and apparently have a 30min briefing and then my 30mins in the sky!

Just left Luke with dh while I took dss and ds1 for a haircut, he apparently screamed the whole time but stopped as soon as I walked in the door without me doing a thing!! Once I was home he sat happily on dh's lap, so he now thinks Luke hates him :(
