Has everyone seen that the MN Xmas meet-up is being planned??? - Here You're all coming right?

Poor little Andrew! I hope he's better soon Lee.

Alex seems to have had a lovely first day. We took him in this morning, found out where to hang his coat and his PE bag and located his tray for his book bag. He found a wooden car thing that he'd enjoyed playing with on the settling sessions and looked comfortable so I asked if we could leave and he said "yes". So we had kisses and left. Easy Peasy and there were no tears from anyone!

He came out with a smile on his face and announced this afternoon that he had had "the best, best, best first day at School ever" He doesn't seem to want to tell us what exactly he did but it must have been good :)

That mouse story made me shudder

LifeOfKate · 08/09/2011 19:54

Brilliant news, blathers :o Am so glad it went well :)

Life with 2 little ones is currently easier than I thought it would be (despite it taking sooooo much longer to get out of the house, I seem to have to change 3 nappies every time I do Hmm), but give it a few months as Rosa doesn't do much apart from sleep at the moment!

I have 2 cats, so a drowned mouse in the toilet would be the least of our worries :o A particular highlight was the dead mole in the hallway Shock One of my mum's old cats brought in a dead cat once too Confused

I'm also not brave enough for Xmas meet, although it wouldn't be possible this year as I will still be bfing Rosa fairly regularly, and I don't think she'd be welcome :o You will all have to bully me next year Wink

Blatherskite · 11/09/2011 21:40

Come on Lee, I'm almost defintely going to go, come with me!

Kate, I'll let you off but just for this one Wink

Don't you guys make me go on my own again!!

You're all rubbish! Wink

ABF was going to come I think but I haven't seen her on here for ages. I hope her Grandma is OK

MrsHerculePoirot · 12/09/2011 19:29

We-ell I do live in London... I am tempted, but v scared really!!!

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 14/09/2011 21:17

Hi all, typed a long message and then somehow deleted it! Arrghh!

Anyway, hope you are all ok. Kate, congrats on the arrival of Rosa and Blathers, hope Alex is settling in to school now. Yikers, it comes round so quick! :)

I am ok, but had a crapola day today. Got to work this morning and an hour later i was driving back home again to pick Anna up from nursery. they called me at 945am to say that she was not herself and a bit clingy and got a bit of a temp. When i got there to pick her up, they said they'd given her some calpol as per our discussion and that she was much perkier....she was having a whale of a time when i got there, running round in the garden, happy as larry Hmm! And has been fine all afternoon! anyway, it's not happened for a while so shouldn't complain i suppose, but just a bit frustrating.

Blathers, what's the deal with the meet up? Is it an afternoon or evening thing?

DH potentially going to saudi this weekend for 2.5 weeks, which is not great news. Bit of a bummer really and not looking forward to 18 days of looking after Anna on my own, but not a lot we can do about it.

Still no news on the TTC. AF arrived today, so that's another month gone....Is only 3.5 months though since i had my implant out so i suppose I am probably being too impatient.

Anna genrally doing well. her speech is really coming on. She can count upwards from 6 with no prompting, but 1-5 don't feature at all Confused! We are getting lots more hugs and kisses, which is lovely and she is having lots of fun dancing and trying to sing little songs!

Anyway after my cheerful post I will go and spread my rays of sunshine elsewhere! ha ha ha! :o

Blatherskite · 15/09/2011 22:01

Hercule, we'll all come so you're not alone and then come back to yours for a sleep over Wink

It's an eveing thing, in a pub in/near Clerkenwell. They've booked out th function room at a pub for private use so it'll be just MNers, all with name badges, getting very drunk together. The place has a licence till 3am for those who can stay awake that long. It was lots of fun at the Spring one and a lot of the ladies I met there are coming again. Come and meet meeeeee Grin We could maybe meet up early and go for Dinner somewhere together and then head over to the pub together? I met up with a few others at Kings Cross last time and we all got a taxi across together. It was easier walking in with some not-quite-so-complete-strangers to go in with.

Anna's speech sound wonderful Ethel. Catherine gets a new word every day at the moment but I'm not sure she could count! She loves dancing too and had a fab time at her little dance class today. very week she picks up another of the moves and she's getting really quite good now. It was so cute.

3.5 months from implant removed doesn't sound very long. You've got to get all of those hormones out of your system first! Might as well save TTC till December now so that you can come and get pissed at the meet up Grin

Very true Lee, very true :)

Owch at the trapped wrist but you didn't do it on purpose and we've all done things like that. I'm sure the buttons helped a lot.

So who's in for the meet-up then? Dinner then go in together? We could even book hotel rooms in the same place so we've each got someone to help us back to them Wink

MrsHerculePoirot · 19/09/2011 22:10

Hello! Will pop back and read through and write more later, but wanted to say I know how you feel Ethelred, we've been trying now since December and still no joy... very frustrating. Maybe booking a piss up will help with that after all!!!

LifeOfKate · 20/09/2011 11:09

I'm feeling a bit disappointed now that I can't go to the meet up! I don't drink though, so would probably be the 'responsible adult' :o Wink
Will DEFINITELY come next year :o

Blatherskite · 21/09/2011 21:25

Right, I've paid so I'm definitely going to the meet up. Who's coming with me?

AmazingBouncingFerret · 21/09/2011 21:31

Marks spot.
This bloody tread will not go out of my threads im on. I'm crap at remembering to find it. Blush

Blatherskite · 21/09/2011 21:33

Bloody hell! ABF is back Shock

Yay! Grin

LifeOfKate · 22/09/2011 11:25

ABF - I have had to change the settings so the threads are there for longer after this one dropped off the bottom too many time!

New news with us is that Noah is definitely joining words together now :) We had a funny one this morning when DH got up to go to the kitchen and Noah jumped in his spot on the sofa and said 'Daddy's chair!'.... we didn't realise 'our' spots on the sofa were so obvious until then Blush :o

Blatherskite · 25/09/2011 12:29

Posting before this drops off the bottom of my active threads again

@@@tumbleweed@@@

LifeOfKate · 25/09/2011 12:40

That would be me killing the thread again then Wink

Blatherskite · 25/09/2011 18:43

It's everyone avoiding me so I can't talk them into coming to the meet-up isn't it?

AmazingBouncingFerret · 26/09/2011 10:53

I'm not avoiding anyone im just shit at remembering to find this thread when it drops out of my "im on" list.

I've hardly been on all weekend because I was in RL

I'm not sure about meetup money is sooo tight lately. Sad
