Well I'm avoiding the lot of you!!!!! JOKING!

MrsHerculePoirot · 27/09/2011 20:19

Oops, meant to write more than that!!! I am just finding that there is no time these days at all - Imogen doesn't stop from the moment she gets up to the time she goes to bed, except when she naps, it is just manic. I have no idea how anyone copes with two!!!!

It is however, hilarious - she is just starting to put words together occaisionally - usually when she is bossing someone about "mummy sit THERE!". Going back to work in Sept was a bit wierd this year, I wasn't really feeling the teaching vibe, but have suddently got back into this week. I think a mixture of having a bit of a cold and going back for the second year (last year I was returning from mat leave so all exciting). I am however enjoying it this week and have some exciting Maths Murder Mystery lessons planned for tomorrow!

We bought Immy a scutlebug at the weekend which she loves - "bike! bike! bike!" every two minutes. Tonight at dinner, she stuffed down her dinner, pushed her plate away and said "finished! bike! down!". She has just started taking two teddies to bed with her and we have to have them all lying in a row tucked up nicely which is cute.

I am really enjoying this age, but she is getting more difficult when out, not in a naughty way, but for example we were in John Lewis at the weekend and she was walking around, but wanted to look at what she wanted to look at and if you wanted her to go somewhere else and she didn't want to she would just lie on the floor giggling making it difficult to pick her up!!! She wasn't being naughty, or screaming or anything, just playing which was qutie funny really! I find I have to just strap her in buggy and be v quick, or allow a long time for my trips!!!!

Blatherskite · 27/09/2011 21:05

Hercule - you have no excuse for not coming to the meet up. You're already in London!! Immy sounds wonderful, Catherine is becoming a little chatterbox too and certainly knows what she wants.

ABF - Rockstock and I were plotting to get you there a few days ago, I found tickets to London for £8 for you! Hell, if it'll help, I'll drive over and pick you up so we only need o get a train from here!!

Lee - good luck with the move, hope it all goes smoothly. You'll be well settled by November Wink

OK, I'll stop nagging now, it would be great to meet you all after what must be more than 2 years of chatting now!

We'd miss you ABF! Your posts almost always make me

I know what you mean about MN at the moment though, it's just not the same. Are you on Twitter? All the funny MNers seem to be on there now. I'm @Blatherskite_mn if you are....

Hope the unpacking is done soon Lee. Glad Andrew is loving his new home.

Samara Morgan is the creepy girl from the Ring films. I might change it again before Halloween, I just can't think of anything funny.

We could try a meet up in half term instead? or have a Christmas holiday birthday meet-up? They're such short holidays I guess everyone's going to be busy though

SamaraMorgan · 11/10/2011 06:49

Meant to say, sorry you're having a hard time too Lee. Hopefully it'll all be worth it when you're properly settled in your new house

LifeOfKate · 11/10/2011 09:26

Sorry to hear it's not going well, Lee :( I am really dreading the later years of childhood... I'm knackered at the moment, but it's physically hard, I don't get too challenged mentally by them... am not looking forward to when they are able to outsmart me!

I'm also not on MN as much at the moment, it's pretty quiet and not as many good threads as usual.

I would be up for a daytime meet up with kids in Nottingham although can only do the Friday of half term. Would really like to meet you all though :) Christmas holiday meet up also sounds good, we never go very far so can probably be free on most of the days around Christmas :)

Right, got to go and wake Noah up... he's still asleep, can you believe it?!

BlathersFright · 11/10/2011 12:51

Ah, it's the endless festive name change confusion week.

This one is better I think - more me Grin

MrsHerculePoirot · 11/10/2011 19:57

Hello! Lee, glad to hear the move went well, sorry that you have a stroppy teen, it will pass although of course that doesn't help for now. I am sure that whatever you are doing it is the best thing, as a teacher of children between 11 and 18 I really honestly think there really is very little that you can actually do except wait it out...

Not a lot to report here, work is absolutely manic, I genuinely don't think I have ever worked so hard in my life as I have worked this half term. I was up until about 3 in the morning on Saturday doing work and think that will probably be repeated again this weekend.

ABF - don't go!

Must think of name change... no more space in brain...

MrsHocusPocus · 12/10/2011 22:19

How's this for my name change?

BlathersFright · 13/10/2011 09:35

Brilliant Grin

MrsHocusPocus · 14/10/2011 22:10

Thanks! Don't think it will win any competitions though!!!!

BlathersFright · 15/10/2011 08:49

Mine neither but at least we tried :)

BlathersFright · 17/10/2011 20:37

Popping in to say hi. Hope everyone is OK
