morning all Smile

snow, trip sounds good Smile Can you c&p your posts into word before you hit post just in case? When are you home, can't be long until you're moving now?

gauchita, all ready for tomorrow now? It's getting so close now, you're almost there, how're you feeling about doing it all again?

zhen, happy birthday to your dh, hope the bingo went well, what a lovely idea Smile Good news on your scan.

skillbo, have considered peppa pig world, do you get into the whole of paulters park with the ticket or just the peppa bit, thinking the older dcs won't be impressed with a day of peppa! Hope you managed to capture the water flume on camera Grin

june, loving C's potty tales, fantastic Grin Dd1 used to go to a day nursery when she was 2, all the los would be sat on their potties in a line, apart from the one at the end which had dd1 writen on the front, she was more of a last minute dash kinda gal and she wouldn't be encouraged to go with the other children, rather large stubborn streak running through my family Grin

one more week left of the holidays and the house looks like it's been attacked by hoard of rampaging monsters it has so I've officially given up on anything more than just the basic housework, it's just not worth it! Dd1 has started to organise her birthday party, she'll be 21 and has put an invite on her closed fb page silly girl so I rang her and told her I was free and could I crash on her floor [nervous laugh] oh and her dad might be free so he could come as well [silence] and he'll bring some of his cd's [even more nervous laugh] oh how I enjoyed that phonecall evil mother that I am as of course I have no intention of going Grin And I finally got round to sticking myself on fb as dh got fed up of me playing his games so if anyone wants to add me, pm me Smile

waves to all Smile

Evening all!

Will try to keep it brief although never succeed!

Snow - BA sounds glorious, it is just tipping down here so must be lovely to be in the sunshine surrounded by lovely people.. glad to hear Z is being such a good girlie too!

Ninja - have sent you a PM so be my friend Smile... oh, and if you do decide to go to PP world, the entry covers the whole place.. we didn't get a chance to go anywhere else as, to be honest, there was heaps to do and DD was made up just to be there I think. It's the only time I've been to Paultons though so not sure if the rest of the park is up to much although I know they've tried to improve it lots the last couple of years!

Gauchita - how lovely, your mum will almost be here.. will she be on a plane as I type? Hope you're feeling ok - bet M is going to be sooo excited to see your mum that hopefully she might give you some peace for a few hours.. I know getting to Nanny's with J can be a pure lifesaver!

Had an eventful few days here - we had a car crash into our flat on Sunday - made the whole place shake and the noise was unbelievable! Not entirely sure how the man did it to be honest as not a place you'd normally reverse, but he did it - and at speed too! It was very lucky as no other cars got caught up in it, no-one was walking past, the man wasn't hurt and he didn't actually take out our flat... if he'd been even one metre further over he'd have been in our front room!

Also having weird eye things so ended up in eye casualty with scans and stuff... went to midwifes first as weird eye things can mean pre-eclampsia but all fabulous and got to hear DS's heart again which was nice. Nothing to report though so don't know what's going on - just feels like I've had a photo taken ALL the time in my right eye... anyone have anything similar??

Right - DH has got bloody Celebrity BB on AGAIN.. I think I will go and feast on the fairy cakes I felt compelled to rustle up this evening! Have a good one all xx

Gauchitaconpanza · 26/08/2011 18:05

Hi all!

Skillbo, what???? Oh my! Poor you, I can imagine the shock! Glad to hear you're all OK. What's happened to the flat? Is there much damage? Hope everything is fixed for you soon. No experience on the eye thing here... were they able to say at least what could be causing it? I'm glad to hear it's not anything pg-related. Are they doing any follow-ups?

Ninja, totally agree on doing only the bare minimum necessary Grin otherwise you'd be picking up after them all day! One more week now, then peace again Wink I'm feeling quite ok re. the birth, surprisingly. I guess once you "know" what's coming, i.e. we've been there before, it gets a tiny bit easier, at least regarding the potential anxiety that the uncertainty factor can cause. Let's see if I'm as calm on the day Grin I'm still doing hypnobirthing and also using accupressure on the day for my back pain, so fingers crossed!

Snow, hope you've had a great stay in our hometown Smile When are you due back?

Right, mum arrived at noon today, soooooooooooo relieved! Now I can ask the baby to wait until September Grin as I don't like end of the month dates too much but I guess he'll just come whenever he wants, and now that mum's here it's all good Grin

M's absolutely besotted with grandma, she doesn't leave her alone! Grin She adores her and she's showing it. For the first time, it's like I don't exist! Grin

Maternity leave starts today, woo hoo!

Very very rainy here, miserable weather, hope you're having something better down south Smile Waves!

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 26/08/2011 18:47

evening all Smile

gauchita, sadly very rainy down south too! Yay for your mum arriving, does that mean you can get an evening out before ds turns up then Grin Time to put your feet up for a bit now you're off work, spd still playing up then

skillbo, have pmed you as had trouble finding you Grin I will get the hang of fb soon I'm sure. Thanks for the pp info, may make that a goer then. Wow, the car crash must have been a total shocker, so pleased no one got hurt. How're your eyes doing, you don't get migraines do you? Oh and pass some of the cake over this way will you Grin would normally swap for a bit of gin so will keep that on ice for you!

E is still not liking his bedroom, he used to be so good in his cot, 7.30 lay staight down and out like a light, now it's closer to 10 with someone sitting on the end of his bed and plenty of fidgeting. He's ending up in with us most nights too [sigh]

dh has announced he's off to Leeds for work in a few weeks, at least he managed to avoid the school holidays, I'm hoping it doesn't become a regular thing.

waves to all Smile

Gauchitaconpanza · 30/08/2011 12:40

Well, ladies, contractions started this morning at 6am, although they're not as regular as they should be, but DEFINITELY as strong as they were with M Grin Soooooo I guess true labour might be on its way. We'll see! I'll keep you posted. (Did anyone say Aug 30th??? Grin)

Hope all goes well, have got a nice cup of Brew and some warm buttered toast on standby for after he has made his appearance.

I am on a bit of a labour/birthing high at the moment as my niece gave birth at 11.06pm on the 28th to her little girl who decided to come 5 weeks early, she is so diddy, only 4lb but not in SCBU luckily.

I bet the end of the month dates have a whole new meaning now :)

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 31/08/2011 13:17

gauchita, brilliant news, huge congratulations to you all Smile Smile Smile

ZhenXiang · 31/08/2011 17:46

Congratulations Gauchita, glad you are both doing well. :)

Make sure you take some iron supplement and vitamin C to build back up the blood you lost.

How much does he weigh? How is M with her new baby brother?

snowwombat · 31/08/2011 18:37

woohooo Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
I am so excited and cannot wait to hear t he details, once you have time. I hope you are enjoying those incredible newborn cuddles, and getting as much rest as possible. Does your mum cook well? Lots of nourishing food.

Solo parent as DH on call. Better sort the kidlets. They have been incredible today, they were brilliant in the car, we looked at two places and like them both. The tricky decision- does a perfect ktichen, with range cooker etc outweigh an average kitchen but a large yard and A would have his own paddock to run around in? Tricky.I think the garden has it, would be so lovely to have them have lots and lots of space.

snowwombat · 01/09/2011 23:02

I am so good at killing the thread Grin. gauchita thinking of you, baby boy is probably awake. Hope everything is going ok and you are feeling a little better.

Hi to everyone, not much to report, wwaiting to hear about the house and heaps and heaps of work on.
Willing Z not to wake for a while longer so I can get some more done.
Hope everyone is ok.

A is in top form, a week with the GPs has been fantastic. I can't believe how much he has changed that time. Looking more like a boy, less toddler and his language has exploded. Far less biting although has tantrummed for england today.

Bring on the weekend.

Gauchitaconpanza · 01/09/2011 23:18

Hello all, This is Gauchito!! Thank you all for the lovely messages. Gauchita asked me to log on and let you all know that she is fine. Unfortunately she cannot tell you by herself because both her and Little Gauchito are in Hospital.
Little Gauchito had some difficulties breathing when he was checked for discharge on Wednesday so we got transfered to Calderdale Hospital so they could run some tests on him. Docs believe he might have some sort of infection but not sure where (if any at all). he is doing very well, no fever, eating a lot (breastfeeding) and sleeping. He's breathing fine now, but unfortunately one of his tests showed high levels of defence cells so more tests were needed today.
At the moment he is getting some antibiotics just in case.
Hopefully everything should be sorted by Monday.
We'll keep you posted!!
All the best and thanks for your support and love!!
Gauchito
