A starter for 10 on our Sept 2010 babies as their first Christmas comes nearer! Can't believe we're there already; I was barely pregnant last Xmas!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
mellymooks · 04/12/2010 22:28

Oh bead I was the same out having massive snowball fights and running round on slippery snow and ice, no idea I was preggers!!
It's great that you're getting lots of business though bead, even though it must be full on right now.

Think I may have to go to bed soon, getting sleepy now........

mellymooks · 04/12/2010 22:29

beaditAli · 04/12/2010 22:29

One of my mums makes jewellery as her living but her dh is a diver so is only home 4 weeks out of 12, he's going back to work Monday but she's had loads of work on. At least it means people like her stuff and she's making money even if it isn't the eat timing!!

Dh tells me that I have been eternally 45, which means I still have a few years to get to mental age! He on the other hand is almost 45 but is eternally 12 Xmas Wink. Nothing particularly difficult like you guys just always been grown up.

Wow, everytime I'm here no-one is about and when I'm away so much happens!

I have been every size from a 10 to a 26 but stick around 14-18 most of the time. Bloody hard work not to eat crap Xmas Sad

Great, one I my cats just spewed on the stairs!! Was going to bed as I'm knackered thought I'd check up on what was going on here in my iPhone before I left it in Luke's room for the night feeds and now I'm cleaning up sick Xmas Angry

cinnamongreyhound · 04/12/2010 22:46

Missed you all again Xmas Sad, sweet dreams all and hopefully not too many night wakenings Xmas Grin

Debs75 · 05/12/2010 10:11

God 4 new pages already, not got time to read them all.

Dixie I did waterbabies with dc3, a bit expensize but we were at a private health club with a very warm pool. There is a lot of underwater swimming but mainly for the babies. I went underwater to see her reaction and nearly drowned. I hate being underwater. The photos are a con as they are extra to the £100+ course fee and they only take 1 pic regardless of how baby does. Apart from that it was a good course.
When it finished we went on a council run course and that was brilliant, loads of singing and playing and only £3 per lesson.

I can swear by motherease one-size and sandys nappies. They fit great are lovely and soft and don't leak. They are a pain to wash and dry in this weather but loads easier during summer. Plus you don't run out when the snow is blocking your street.

mapletrees · 05/12/2010 10:30

Hey, sorry to miss you all last night. We were out at a party Xmas Smile. There were 4 babies there of about the same age as Louis, including one who we had last seen in the hospital. They were having some problems at the time and it was really nice to see them so happy and healthy now Xmas Grin.

beaditAli · 05/12/2010 11:13

Hee hee... there's no wonder we keep missing each other given the random sleep patterns of little creatures Xmas Grin
Just the one night awakening her cinnamon at 6am after his dream feed at midnight. Now that his cold has pretty much cleared up he's taking more ounces so doesn't need to be fed every sodding 2 hours! Xmas Smile
Party sounded good maples I haven't been to any baby clubs yet or Sure Start thingies so need to start getting out a bit more and maybe to bambino parties too. We car share though as I work from home so DH needs to get on his bike a bit more! 12 miles there and 12 back home up hill tho..... is that mean of me?? Blush
He's out on it now so I'm being sneaky and getting a delivery of handmade shelves for our kitchen. He's been banging on about having them for months but vets chemo bills eventually stopped us affording them. Can't wait to see his face! Do I let him put them up as he wants or ask my Dad to do it and surprise him with them on the wall???? Xmas Confused
Well, jewellery day beckons when DH is home so may not be around this aft. Hope you have no more puke to clean cinnamon

Chelle1986 · 05/12/2010 11:27

Looks like melly and clumsy had a party on here without us last night everyone! beadit crashed at the end though!

I take it all back - huggies leak too! Every bloody nappy seems to leak on him when he does a poo at the minute! Maybe he is a funny shape at the moment - between sizes maybe..... Xmas Hmm

We had a nice day yesterday - the three of us popped down to a christmas fayre in Port Sunlight and bought some lovely mince pies - and some chocolate and peanut butter flavoured fudge!!! Xmas Grin Then we popped to my mums for a cuppa and a cuddle, came home and watched a DVD.

Ollys jabs seem to be catching up with him now...very grumpy yesterday for the most part, and he has woken with a weepy eye this morning. Poor sod.

DP currently trying to get him down for a nap - Olly has other ideas. He's been awake since 8am now and is due a nap - looks like he's going to have one of those fight sleep days.

Looking in to swimming classes myself dixie - will let you know what I find out. Must also get down to the centre and book some baby groups for January - slowly driving myself mad on my own every day!

Olly - 10 weeks today.x

sassy34264 · 05/12/2010 11:28

I went to tesco last night at 9pm for some ice cream and DP and babies came with us. They fell asleep and by midnight they were still asleep in their car seats. I didn't want to risk taking them upstairs in case it woke them up, so Dp went to bed and i slept on the couch, only to be woken up by my very drunk brother coming home at 5.15am and deciding to warm up the leftover shepherds pie i'd made for tea. Every time he clattered, i could hear him going sshh to himself- ARGH. Men; they are all has fecking inconsiderate as each other!

DP is going back to work this afternoon. Xmas Sad It's always worse when he has had time off. At least it's only for 2 weeks until he is off for xmas. He is going to be living in a cottage in Bath for the next 2 years and if no-one else moves in with him, we will be able to go and stay with him during all of the school holidays. Fingers crossed.

beaditAli · 05/12/2010 11:33

What do I do re: shelves ladies? Would he want to do them himself? I have 30 mins b4 he's homw!

beaditAli · 05/12/2010 11:36

sorry I know this isn't B&Q.net!

Chelle1986 · 05/12/2010 11:38

Beadit I would give them to him to do - if he has been so excited about them then I think he would want to have to pleasure of putting them up himself so that they look just right.

Chelle1986 · 05/12/2010 11:39

Although you may find as soon as you give them to him he will HAVE to go to the house STRAIGHT AWAY and put them up....haha

So get him to do any jobs you need doing before you give them to him!

beaditAli · 05/12/2010 11:43

You're right chelle male pride to consider too Xmas Wink plys, my Dad would take 4 days to do a job that takes 2 hours! He's a perfectionist!

Chelle1986 · 05/12/2010 11:46

Ah...it wouldn't take my DP or dad four days to do - it may however take them four weeks to get round to starting it!

I have been asking DP to hoover the stairs for 2 weeks.....they're disgusting! And I can't do them as my back is still buggered!

I hope he likes his shelves!

beaditAli · 05/12/2010 11:49

Timing or what? Furniture chap can't get out his studio car park coz of the snow. Weep weep. I had it all planned Xmas Sad ahhhhh well Xmas Sad
chelle put the hoover infront of the tv then he'll do it!

Chelle1986 · 05/12/2010 11:54

Or I could hide the remote as a ransom!

beaditAli · 05/12/2010 11:57

Do it! Then pretend you've forgotten you put it until he's cleaned the kitchen and bathroom! Xmas Wink

beaditAli · 05/12/2010 11:57

forgotten where!

cinnamongreyhound · 05/12/2010 12:01

No he won't beaditAli if he's anything like my dh he will just move it to the side Xmas Wink

No more cat sick thankfully, I kicked her out Xmas Blush

Luke was only up once last night at 4, must have been the night for it! I am writing Christmas cards while the boys are making me a belated birthday cake, then we are off to my mum's for a belated birthday celebration and more presents Xmas Grin

Dixiebell · 05/12/2010 14:29

Debs, I'm not worried about going underwater myself, it's the thought of dunking my precious boy that scares me! Would prefer to do cheaper council-run course, but can't seem to find out if there are any round here. Will look forward to hearing what you find out, chelle.

Arlo 9 weeks tomorrow

bananastew · 05/12/2010 14:53

I was at a party last night too! had a great time. Stumbled in at 1.30am to dp moaning he felt sick! Olly woke up at 6am & dp informed me he'd been sick so had officially got a bug! 2 children + a hangover = grumpy mummy.
I wouldn't mind but I had the bug on tues & had to get up with them at 6 cos dh was at work, look after them all day & have the carpets fitted! He's spent all day moaning & laid on the settee! There should be a "grumpy" emoticon!
