A starter for 10 on our Sept 2010 babies as their first Christmas comes nearer! Can't believe we're there already; I was barely pregnant last Xmas!

melly Happy birthday to your DD. Hope you all have a great day tomorrow.

Hope you have a better night tonight saoirse.

Louis rolled over (front to back) for the first time this morning. I think he was quite pleased with himself Xmas Grin.

JodeyLea · 12/12/2010 20:18

Sorry, Happy birthday Melly Xmas Grin

MammyG · 12/12/2010 20:19

Phoebe went from 11.30 - 6.30 with just one little 5 min fuss around 3am! Am so knackered I hope she keeps it up for a while. Have pile of cleaning to do this eve so will run. Had lovely day yesterday. DH and I took kids to nearby town. Met up with good friend, had a nice long lunch etc. The kids were super - it was like they knew I needed a break! Then off to santa and home. It was our wedding anniversary so was lovely to have a nice family day! 6 years where did the time go! Is everyone set for xmas? I have a mountain of cookies etc to bake!

mellymooks · 12/12/2010 20:20

Envy jodey !!!

mellymooks · 12/12/2010 20:25

No of course jodey I mean that is fantastic!! I'm not jealous at all Wink

Flynn hasn't managed more than 4 hours in one go at night yet Sad

bananastew · 12/12/2010 20:39

Olly was going from 10-7 but the last couple of nights has woken up at 4.30am then last nigh it was 2.30am. He'll only take 2oz so I don't think it could be hungar waking him. Any suggestions?? He's not cold & his nappy never needs changing!

saoirse86 · 12/12/2010 20:43

I'm definitely Xmas Envy jodey and I'm not sorry!!

melly I've had 3 nights where we had a 6 hour stretch but one was calpol induced when she had a temperature and a cold. (I won't lie, I have considered slipping a little calpol down her neck for a quiet night! Xmas Blush )
And happy birthday minimelly

dixie I'm glad it's not just me getting all these comments, I just wish none of got them. I'm getting ever so good at biting my tongue though Xmas Biscuit

I've had a productive day putting stuff on ebay to make money and room for my new pushchair that WILL get reduced in the christmas sale!! Xmas Hmm

cinnamongreyhound · 12/12/2010 20:44

Have plans to do some baking with ds1 mammyG but I haven't found the time. The biscuits Kirsty made on Phil and kirsties Christmas thingy looked yummy an quite easy. Ds1 loves baking so we've got him the I can cook recipe book. Dh and I wrapped all the presents we have yesterday after the preschool Christmas fayre. I ended up working today at late notice so didn't do a lot as I couldn't really leave the kids alone Xmas Sad.

Luke has slept up to 8 hours at night but ink when he's gone to bed at 5.30!! Last night he was up every 4 hours. Ds1 slept from 8-6 from 14 weeks but don't think luke's going to. I don't feel too bad for the lack of sleep though. Hoping it doesn't catch up all of a sudden!

Got tomorrow morning off so and hours catching up on bits at home will be great.

saoirse86 · 12/12/2010 20:46

banana that's what Orlaith's been doing too but I really can't work out what the problem is. She'll take 2oz, fall asleep in my arms, I put her down in her cot and she wakes up half an hour later.
She'd been so good recently, waking just twice in 11 hours for 10 mins each time. I should've known it wasn't that easy for a baby to just start sleeping well.

Xmas Sad

Orlaith 11 weeks 2 days

bananastew · 12/12/2010 21:25

I think he's going through a growth spurt cos he's suddenly started 6oz every 3 hours instead of 5oz every 4 hours. I don't get it tho cos he only has 2oz!

Olly 14 weeks 5 days!

Debs75 · 12/12/2010 21:41

I don't know what has happened with Lucy.
For the first few wekks she was waking me just once or twice during the night. Then about 6 weeks in she was going 8 hours. These last few weeks she has been waking 2-3 times, will not re-settle in her carycot and is in with us now for most of the night.
I'm still getting sleep but I like my bed to myself so I don't have to panic about rolling on her. Plus I am getting really painful pressure points on mu hips, we are desperately in need of a new bed.

2days minus 4 months

Chelle1986 · 12/12/2010 21:49

banana - is he slightly constipated maybe? Olly has episodes like that when he can't get a fart out?

Not such a great night last night - went down at 8:30 and then was up at both 2am and 5am and then awake at 07:30. Stirred alot in his sleep too which of course kept Mummy awake!

Hoping for a better night tonight - he struggled going down a bit, sent DP up to settle him in the end as I was beginning to get annoyed - think I needed an Olly break!

Happy birthday little melly! Hope you have a lovely day.

beady - where are you my little mate! I keep missing you - we are like ships in the night!! Xmas Grin

Can't believe Olly is nearly 3 months old. Where has my tiny little baba gone.... Xmas Sad

Olly 11wks today.

Chelle1986 · 12/12/2010 21:50

Debs - I know what you mean, I think Olly would sleep for that extra 2 hours in the morning if I could get him in to sleep with me - but am just too worried about squishing him!

Chelle1986 · 12/12/2010 21:52

saoirse - keep thinking about putting some of our stuff on ebay too....just don't know what I'm going to want to keep for the next one!!

Dixiebell · 13/12/2010 05:24

Hi all. Arlo has also reduced hours he is sleeping - had a run of 7 1/2 hours, but last few nights has been less than 6. better than some of you I know, but I'd frustrating that it's going in the wrong direction. On a brighter note, arlo seems to absolutely love singing. When I sing to him or play him music he joins in, making all kinds of long loud cooing noises. It's so sweet. I was joking that in 14 years' time we'll be the parents being interviewed on X factor saying he's been singing since he was 2 months old..!

10 weeks today

cinnamongreyhound · 13/12/2010 07:40

After what I said yesterday and just reading all of yours are going backwards Luke slept 8 until 7.30!! He woke up screaming!!!! I had that awful moment when dh woke me up worrying why he hadn't woken and dh said what's the matter (hadn't even noticed whether I got up or not!). Had to quickly pump as was leaking everywhere and am now sitting feeding when I need to leave for school in 30mins and ds1 hasn't had anything to eat and isn't dressed! Aarrrgghhh!

Debs75 · 13/12/2010 10:49

I know I won't roll on her, I tend to lie dead still so get a bit stiff and sore. She was in all last night so had a good sleep, she only woke twice for a sleepy feed.
We are going to put the cot up this week so really hoping this could help

comixminx · 13/12/2010 10:57

Morning folks! Aphra had a bad weekend recently when we went away but last weekend was fine and generally speaking she's sleeping well, so not going backwards here - yet, at any rate!

I am plagued by loose strands of hair at the moment, anyone else? I had heard that after labour I might find that a lot of hair would shed in quick succession, but didn't find that. Instead, it waited until I had my first post-birth haircut a few weeks ago, and now I find stray hairs all over the place! I don't like it when they fall on Aphra as she's feeding, not that she minds of course... Xmas Grin

beaditAli · 13/12/2010 11:23

Loving reading all the recent posts as I don't feel alone in the fact that Jack's sleep is also becoming a bit random and he'll only sleep for 30 min naps during the day. Well, not pleased for all you tired mummies but you know what I mean. Xmas Smile
Would love to read in more detail but am sitting staring at a mass of stupid beads and stupid bits of wire etc all waiting to be organised for a jewellery party tonight. My head is literally spinning I've been flapping around so much for the last few days/weeks. Just can't afford not to take advantage of Christmas sales. Xmas Sad
I WILL have a bed time before midnight soon! Xmas Hmm
chelle I MISS YOU and your penguins! but i'll be back with my big fat pink hearts and robot dudes! xx
Hope everyone is feeling festive and Christmassy sparkles to all your little ones! Xmas Grin

beaditAli · 13/12/2010 11:25

Jack 3 months today Xmas Shock

newmum001 · 13/12/2010 11:27

Morning all, i must admit im a bit worried about everyones sleep problems. We've been quuite lucky with Grace so far and she's been sleeping for 10 hours ish at night over the last week or so, don't know how id cope if she started waking in the night now as she can be a bugger to get back to sleep.

She's got her second round of jabs this afternoon and im really starting to panic about it. I felt sick last time when they jabbed her! Do they just have one this time or is it two again??

Mapletrees - i can't wait for Grace to start rolling over etc she did a forward roll on the sofa the other day but think that was just cause she lost her balance and we weren't looking (whoops)

Grace 12 + 6

She's exactly 3 months tomorrow, where the hell has the time gone???

saoirse86 · 13/12/2010 12:04

maple how exciting with the rolling. I love it when Orlaith works out something new. Over the last few days she's started blowing raspberries either using a bit of spit or milk she hasn't swallowed (purposely I think!). I don't think she's completely worked out how to make the noise because she tries with no spit/milk anyway even though it's not quite working. Awwww Xmas Grin

chelle and beadit are we all going to have to start an intervention because you both sound a bit mental with your penguins and hearts and robots! Xmas Confused

comix I've just started having LOADS of hair fall out over the last couple of weeks. It's a bit worrying, I'm not sure if I have enough hair left for it to carry on much longer! Xmas Hmm

Well Orlaith went to sleep last night at 9.50 after having 8oz over the last 1 1/2 hours. Annoyingly she woke at 1.10 because the dog starting going crazy at someone walking past the house Xmas Angry, then woke at 3.30, 5.50, 6.50 (for an hour), 8.50 then 10.20. So not great but better than the previous 3 nights. I've got my fingers crossed it'll be a bit better tonight.

cinnamongreyhound · 13/12/2010 12:07

With ds1 mine started falling out when he was 4 months comixminx

It's 2 again newmum001 and at 16 weeks they have 3 Xmas Sad

sassy34264 · 13/12/2010 12:50

I'm losing hair too. Been about 2 weeks now and it's not showing any signs of abating. Remember it well from dd. I remember thinking i was going to be bald if it carried on.

Isobel can understand me! I always say 'give mummy a kiss' before i kiss them. This weekend when i did it, she opened her mouth wide. Did it a few times in case it was a fluke. Showed DP when he got home too. :o
I think Jacob might understand as well, cos when i say it to him, he turns away! Hmm Xmas Smile

4 months today

saoirse86 · 13/12/2010 12:56
