A starter for 10 on our Sept 2010 babies as their first Christmas comes nearer! Can't believe we're there already; I was barely pregnant last Xmas!

Woop woop how exciting! I'll be spending the rest of the nigh looking at everyone's photos. It will be lovely putting faces to the names of mamas and babas x

cinnamongreyhound · 07/12/2010 21:35

Is there somewhere we can post to find those we've lost? I don't tend to look at many other pages while I'm here so not sure where they'd be, could we post a thread in the antenatal pages to find them?

Chelle1986 · 07/12/2010 21:37

sorry cinnamon cross posts! you eager beaver you! lol. dont know if theres somewhere we can post for the lost ones - good idea though. will check out the new group tomorrow.

I've sent FB requests to everyone, im claire glover. Hope i got everyone right, just went for photos with babies on as they seemed the obvious choice Grin

bananastew · 08/12/2010 08:39

comixminx there's a few Jenni Scotts!! which one are you??

bananastew · 08/12/2010 08:51

MammyG love your photos, Your boys are so cute!! whats the age difference? I'm so pleased you dress them in the same clothes. Makes me feel less evil for being desperate to do the same!

I'm going to finish my shopping off today! I'm really not looking forward to it. Leaving the boys with the MIL which is my 1st problem! she's ok but just can't feed olly! the poor boys going to starve! I have to try to time thing so I can go & come back between feeds but I've got so much to do I've a feeling I'll still be out at midnight!

Can't remember who said about not letting the babies get over tired, we've gone onto a new page & if I go back I'll loose all this! I know Olly gets tired 1 1/2 - 2 hours after he gets up so I just put him down whether he seems tired or not & within minutes he's fast asleep. I had an awful day with him yeaterday cos we were out and about & he got over tired. he just screamed & screamed!

comixminx · 08/12/2010 09:32

I'm now a member of the fb group so that's probably the easiest way to link up... But in any case I'm the one whose profile piccie has hair in little buns looking daft! Haven't changed it to show DD like most people do, in fact I've never changed my photo since joining...

Can't wait to nosey at everyone's gorgeous pics! Xmas Grin
So, Jack has been chewing on his whole fist for about an hour! Do they just find their hands at around this age or could he really be starting to teeth at 11 weeks?? Just seems so early?
Happy shopping banana I'm very Xmas Envy

newmum001 · 08/12/2010 09:41

beadit have a feel of his gums, Grace's feel really hard. She has always chewed her fists but recently she's doing it non stop while awake and her cheeks are red and she's dribbling constantly. Also she is really crabby. Is Jack showing any other signs? If not he might just have discovered his hands. I'd pop out and get some teething gel just in case though.

beaditAli · 08/12/2010 09:50

Thanks, he is settling fine for sleep and naps but it seems to take about 3 goes to get his bottle to stay in.... thinking this could be because he's a bit sore? He's chirping away in his chair now tho without fist so perhaps he's in the early stages Xmas Confused

cinnamon I think I'd start with the trial and see how you go. As you say, you can drop out! My folks enrolled my twin and I into research at Leeds Uni which lasted from Mum being pregnant to our puberty. Mum was a head mistress and an early years specialist so she was really keen to follow the study. She never said there were any negatives to it.

Ohhhhh poo to clean! c ya!

beaditAli · 08/12/2010 09:56

False alarm!
newmum I'll keep trying to check his gums but he shoves his tongue out every time!

Our plain brown curtains are fascinating today! Xmas Grin

sassy34264 · 08/12/2010 10:06

Morning. I've had a look back at the old thread and there are quite a few missing. sazziej swordfishtrombones skrrtergirl (think she did post recently) jaysfourth parkj83 oooseubeuta (sp?) bessie123 . If you are reading come and say hi. xxx

newmum Seen your pic of Grace (very cute) and she doesn't look big and sturdy to me! She looks petite and girlie - just like Isobel.

bellabelly I remember you posting some pics via facebook, come and join us on the fb group cos i can't remember what your real name was and it would take too long to find the link. You don't post as often as you did but i'm presumming with 4 kids under 5, that might be your reason. Xmas Grin How's it going with your girls? And let me know what age it gets easier?!Xmas Hmm Xmas Grin

sassy34264 · 08/12/2010 10:10

Jacob is still asleep upstairs, but Isobel is sat on my knee laughing occasionally at the tv. I could get done for child abuse if i'm not careful, cos i just want to squeeze them till they pop.......god i love my babies!!!!!

sassy34264 · 08/12/2010 10:13

oh, just remembered another one- stickhasgrownup. Let me know clumsy if one of these is you.....i know you like a name change! Xmas Wink

newmum001 · 08/12/2010 10:22

Sassy took another pic this morning of her looking absolutely massive in her moses basket. I'll put it on in a bit, think we might have to start using her cot soon. Those who are using cots already im not too sure what to do regarding bedding. It's set up to look all pretty with all the blankets etc on but if we do start using it do we have to take the bedding off and just lay her on the mattress (with sheet on of course) in her sleeping bag? She doesn't have blankets etc in her moses basket, she's warm enough with just a babygrow and sleeping bag on.

imnotperfect · 08/12/2010 10:35

getting really jealous reading what all you have been up to with your sept babies. Its a novelty for us to leave the house, let alone go swimming!!! Just to clarify, I broke my ankle 6 days before going into labour, so spent 6 weeks with my arse on the couch, its still sore, and im terrified of falling over in the snow and breaking the other one, so still on the couch. Would love to know how every1 is so organised tho, im still struggling to have a shower and get us all dressed before 3pm (have a 4yr old in school too) loving having a cuddly baby again, but so very confused at how every1 on here seems to have their lives back on track so quickly. As for baby routine???? non-existant, determined by baby, and passed swiftly through my mind...oh dear...

imnotperfect · 08/12/2010 10:45

my ankles still sore, not my arse, just thought id make that clearer

mapletrees · 08/12/2010 10:56

Hi imnotperfect. Are you new or have you namechanged? How old is your LO? What a nightmare being stuck on the couch even more than for breastfeeding. I hope you had some help. I don't think we're all as organised as it might seem - Louis' and my 'routine' is different every day, and the main reason we get out is because I'm desperate to for my own sanity. It's easier now, but for the first month or two it could take us more than an hour to finally leave the house. I was just very persistant Xmas Grin. Oh, and I shower either early, before DP leaves for work, or after he gets home..

sassy34264 · 08/12/2010 10:58

imnotperfect Glad you cleared that up! Don't worry there are some of us, who have no routines, are led by baby(s) and stay in pjamams A LOT. Xmas Grin

newmum001 · 08/12/2010 11:40

imnotperfect, i'm another one who showers and gets dressed before DP leaves for work or else i literally would not find time. Grace can be asleep for 2 - 3 hours at a time during the day but garanteed if i was to go and have a shower while she was asleep she would wake up as soon as id got out and then id be stuck with wet hair and look like shit for the rest of the day, much easier and less stressful to do it before DP goes to work. Also have to get out of the house every day for my own sanity, even if it's just a walk round the block or to tesco, also quite a good way of getting Grace into a deep sleep! My house is a tip most days and we have freezer teas or take aways as i just cannot find the time to cook anything so you are not the only one whose life is not yet back on track!! I don't think mine ever will be Grin i honestly still can't get over how someone so tiny can completely turn your life upside down.

Chelle1986 · 08/12/2010 12:29

Guys just a quick one!!! Am going to try and put Olly to bed earlier tonight - any tips please???!! Rather than putting him to bed when we go up.

Welcome imnotperfect.

Catch u all l8r.xxx

Love2Dance · 08/12/2010 13:03

I am a Facebook virgin. Never joined. Bit of a luddite/don't like the idea of my personal info being out there, but wistful about sharing of baby pics etc...

I think Raphael may be starting to teeth too. Chewing fist and unsettled. Like NOW. Must go. Back later!

imnotperfect · 08/12/2010 13:23

i am new here, only found the site a few days ago - thought id have a break from telly and try the computer!! it is good to know that im not the only one who spends the entire day in my pajamas tho. it is getting better slowly. i think i like my sleep too much to get up before dh goes to work tho. dc2 shows no sign at 12 wks of sleeping longer than 4 hrs, so i get as much sleep as possible!!

pleased to see as well that other little ones are showing signs of teething. Samson loves chewing his fist and produces more slobber than a st. bernard!!i thought at first he wanted to suck something so went and bought a gumdrop dummy off the internet...he immediatly spat it out and looked at me reproachfully...oh well he does have two big dummies attached to mummy which he much prefers!!

oh i have some cute pics on fb too, including one of me in labour with my leg in cast!!haha my names viki rudkin if u want to add...thanks all for helping me keep sane

newmum001 · 08/12/2010 13:28

Chelle - not sure what your doing already regarding his routine but we try to keep Grace awake between her evening feed and night time feed. She usually goes 4 hours between feeds and usually sleeps for 2 hours of the four if that makes sense. But her evening feed is usually at 5pm(ish) so after that one we try to keep her awake till the next one.

We tend to play with her for an hour downstairs, then take her upstairs to our room and take her nappy and clothes off (which she loves) and she watches telly, has a play then bath then back downstairs, turn some lights off to make it dark and give her her last feed between 8-8.30. Then to bed! She doesn't self settle and usually falls asleep having her bottle. I usually go up at the same time cause im always knackered and the one time we put her to bed and came downstairs she woke up so i think she likes having someone in the room with her. Bearing in mind this doesn't work out every night. But thats what we try to stick to. x
