cake I just asked my mum who bf'd 7 children whether they ever get unsaggy and she said the fat builds up after a while of stopping bfing. She's got 'normal' boobs so there are no worries there :)

Hair, fine if a little messy

Boobs, huge but they went back to how they were fine after feeding dd1 so hopefully the same this time

Tummy, awful. I still look 6 months pregnant too.

Hips and bum, not too bad, some of my old jeans fit over them, they just won't do up round my waist!

Weight - the heaviest I've ever been and I'm not even eating that much Sad. About a stone more than I was before I had dd2 and about 2 and a half stone more than I was before I had dd1. And I don't seem to lose it while bfing - with dd1 it started coming off once I'd stopped. Really starting to get me down as hardly any of my clothes fit and i just feel really heavy.

Up twice last night, not too bad for us, but dd1 and 2 both woke at 5.30 am so we've all been up since then (yawn)

CakeandRoses · 04/12/2010 18:31

chulita, tsc and wss you've made me feel a bit relieved about boobs after bf

tsc - did yours seem 'normal' after you stopped bf the last two (e.g. in terms of fullness and uppiness)?

chulita - 7? Wow!!

CakeandRoses · 04/12/2010 18:33

have just worked out that i've been bf for 3 xmases in a row [martyr to the cause emoticon]

i jolly well deserve some new boobs for xmas next year if i need them!

i heard (on here when someone was considering a boob job after pg/bf) that it can take a whole year for your boobs to recover so that ties in with what your mother says chulita

CakeandRoses · 04/12/2010 18:55

Perky 34e? Now that i wouldn't mind that after bf at all Grin

MyLifeIsFeelingFestive · 04/12/2010 19:23

Hmmm, I'm not sure what I blame tbh cake. Pre ds1 I was a 34D (lovely IMO). Whilst pregnant I crept up to 34F and when breastfeeding 34FF. The skin is reminiscent of when really fat people loose loads of weight but their skin has nowhere to go...Imagine (if you will) 34FF breasts which are now 34B/C at a push. They're just not nice. I have said more than once I'd love a boob job, and dh isn't opposed to the idea. Probably cos he knows I'd be too chicken to go through with it. If he thought I'd actually do it I'm not sure whether he'd be as laid back about it :)

Cake, I had a 2 week old and was bf Christmas 2008 and was pregnant 2009. I'm not holding back this year Xmas Grin

Dh has decided he's not going to change cars after all. I will also point out he's only had this car a year this month, so it's probably for the best!

Where are you going on your new years hols? Sorry if you've said and I've forgotten...

CakeandRoses · 04/12/2010 20:03

I wouldn't mind boob jobs so much if they were just nipping or tucking - it's the fake thing inside that puts me off altho if I'm ever really unhappy with the natural version then I'd deffo consider it.

We always book a cottage hols for a week over new year. This year we're off to a place near exeter in devon (where I was born). It looks lovely so really looking forward to it altho not so much the packing and full car!

MyLifeIsFeelingFestive · 04/12/2010 20:10

My grandparents who are up visitin at the moment (that I haven't actually seen yet, ooops) are up from Somerset :)

Spirael · 04/12/2010 20:22

Ok, I wasn't worried before but now I'm starting to get a bit concerned about my breasts, specifically what I'm going to be left with when all is said and done. Wink

I started a 34D, went up to 34F when pregnant. Currently bursting out of a 32J... (Not sure how I managed to end up with a smaller ribcage-!)

I'm blaming my bottomless pit of a DD... She fed every hour this afternoon. Shock

Fortunately I've never so much 'perky' as 'pillow'... So maybe it'll be ok and I'll go back to what I consider normality..? [clutches straws]

MyLifeIsFeelingFestive · 04/12/2010 20:29

spirael everyone's different. Maybe I'm the exception rather than the rule :)

CakeandRoses · 04/12/2010 20:31

Mine seem huge at DD i can't even imagine what FF and upwards must be like!

Advice please fellow Julyers...

Aurelia's had a cough and cold this week and 2 unsettled nights which might be just teething. She's not actually coughing that much - maybe a handful of times a day. She's been really happy today, eating, feeding and as smiley as normal but has been sounding wheezy off and on.

She's gone down as usual but we can hear her wheezing over the monitor - is this something to worry about or is it just part of some cough viruses?

CakeandRoses · 04/12/2010 20:36

update: it sounds as tho she's just dropped off to sleep (went down later than usual as she wanted an extra feed) and she's not wheezing anymore but I'm still worried about it (I'm not worried that she isn't breathing as she has the sensor pad thingy)

CakeandRoses · 04/12/2010 20:40

to clarify - when i say wheezy i just mean making a noise rather than seeming like she's struggling for breath

MyLifeIsFeelingFestive · 04/12/2010 20:46

She'd be unhappy in herself if there was a chest infection cake. Sounds very likely to be related to the cough. ds2 has had one for weeks. Do you feel like you want to cough for her IYSWIM? If so, it't the gunk (for want of a better word) dripping down the back of her throat.

As always though, monitor her and if it doesn't sit right with you, take her to a doctor.

kkfairybrains · 04/12/2010 20:47

This is the way ellie was cakes. The only advise i can give is to put a pillow under her and prop her up. We used karvol on a bib at the bottom of the cot. It is worrying hearing them wheezing but its probably just part of her cold

CakeandRoses · 04/12/2010 21:04

Thanks guys. I think you're right and that's put my mind at rest.

For once, I actually don't feel that worried - I usually go overboard and panic whereas this is low-level worrying so unless that changes I'll just monitor her rather than take her to the docs

viksam · 04/12/2010 22:35

Hello, hows everyone in this freezing weather. My house is struggling to get/stay warm unless we keep the heating on all day but thats scarily expensive!
Regarding my physical state........hair falling out stupidly, i have to brush my hair over the bin, its everywhere!!Small mouse made me lol! Boobs, a size bigger than pre-pregnancy so result there(I was an A cup!!) Belly......pot. Ass, BIG! I was described as PLUMP!! by a friend the other day......she said 'ur not fat, ur nicley plump' i think she was tring to make me feel better.......suprisingly it didnt work!! Need to loose a stone for pre pregnancy weight but another half to reach a good weight, dont think im gona do that on a diet of take away and Maltesers!!
Devons been really out of sorts for the last few days, typical since we cant get out of the house!! Has anyones lo's been off their feeds due to teething, he's not taking a whole bottle and whilst he is feeding he's really on off all the time and i dont know why, its very frustrating. I might get one of those amber necklaces that some of u guys use. Has anyone got any other suggestions and is being off his food due to teething normal?? I think if u know its normal u can deal with it better. The frustrating thing is he had 6oz in the night due to missing oz in the day and he doesnt generally wake in the night.
Also, is anyone still dream feeding? Im not sure wether to stop doing it to see if he can go 7-7 but he still takes 4-5oz at 10.30ish so not sure.
Hope everyone has a good night xx

CakeandRoses · 04/12/2010 23:21

Hey woodlands

Same here re heating, tis such an old house that there's cold air coming round every window, door and floorboard! So looking forward to the bill.

If you scroll down a bit we've just been talking teethers etc. My find was ambesol liquid - see below for more info.

Ds used to go off feeds, vomit and all sorts when teething so it's def possible!

And yes, I still df Aurelia. No plans to stop soon partly cos her night sleep and feeds are undergoing a major regression so don't want to make it worse!

Sleep well all!

I'm fuming! Got £40 of Tesco vouchers I just remebered needed using by today. As I haven't received them in the post I did a full online shop and now it won't accept the sodding codes. So I ring customer service which doesn't open til 10am and I can't save my basket til later. Aaaaaarrrrggggghhhhhhh! WHat a waste of the last hour. And 40 quid it would appear Angry Angry Angry

DesperateHousewife21 · 05/12/2010 10:26

Morning,

We got home just after 10 last night, we watched tv in bed whilst I fed Dylan who fell asleep v quickly.
Put him in his cot and 10 mins later woke up, he kept doing this til I brought him in our bed where he fell asleep.
He then still woke up 4 times in the night, I was so angry with him I kicked his cot :(
Why the fuck cant he stay asleep in his own damn bed.
