New halloween inspired thread (in honour of this time of year) to talk about our little jekyll & hydes [hgrin]

Is anyone going to be taking their little ones trick or treating this year? We'll be at MIL's for Halloween and she's already told me she has both Danny and DS1 costumes -so it appears that decision has been made for us Grin

Jesus mos Sounds like you've been going through a nightmare yourself!! What a palavar.
Thought you were coming back, saw your post on the primary school place thread.

Are we all having a meet-up in the summer? Would be great to see everyone and the babies toddlers again

oooggs · 01/04/2011 20:40

wow mos!!!!!! Shock what and evil witch, sounds like she is well up herself!

Calico1 · 02/04/2011 14:12

MOS can't believe that she can complain about you being in the same space as her - what is her problem??! Surely that can't be right? How petty - silly cow!

Still worried about DS - his eyes were swollen again this morning (a sign of fluid retention) and he looks really pale. We have a review at the hospital on Monday and they should have the last blood results back - so obviously hoping it is nothing to worry about...

I think we hear about his primary school place on Monday - blardy hope we get in - we live next to the school!

dinkystinky · 02/04/2011 21:25

Wow MoS - that woman sounds like a total Biatch!!

Calico - keeping my fingers crossed review goes ok and puts your mind ot rest on Monday and you get into your local school too. x

bumpsnowjustplump · 04/04/2011 13:27

Hello all sorry I havent been able to check in over the weekend but dd has been really poorly. Dont know what she has but has had a temp of 39.4 all weekend and been lathargic and constantly has a headache..

I had my scan on friday and all seems well with the baby. It has grown normally and has heartbeat so all really good there, the only problem is that the (TMI sorry) jelly like stuff that i have been losing is my cervix and while it isn't a problem at the moment it could be if it carries on or gets worse. So I am on strick orders to rest as much as I can. DP was there as well so he cant say I am making that bit up, doctor even looked at him when he said it lol..

Hope that you all had a lovely mothers day yesterday

dinkystinky · 04/04/2011 15:03

calico hope all ok with you

bumps good news about little bump, hope you manage to get some rest although I know its easier said than done!

DH and I got fed up with waiting to hear what is happening with the 'investigation' at his work about the complaint made against me (and my counter complaint) Its been 2 weeks since the 'hearing/investigation meeting' so DH emailed the arse/man that is 'dealing with it' and demanded to know what was happening and was told will have a result in 48 hours so watch this space...

Out to bingo tonight at the clubhouse, should be a laugh

MrsY · 04/04/2011 18:24

Hi all, hope we all had a fab day on Sunday.

Hope the result of the investigation is positive, MOS, can't believe people think they can behave like that, but I know these compounds become huge playgrounds, I hate all the hierachy stuff. J's boss keeps hinting I should go out with his missus, but iId rather eat my own shoes! Hope your playground issues settle down, as well, SM. Good to hear the head thinks highly of you. When will everyone find out what happens with the shuffles, after the holidays I guess?

Glad to hear things are ok Bumps let me know if there's anything I can do.

Hope the virus' have cleared Dinky, and that the appointment went well today, Calico.

SummerRain · 04/04/2011 18:32

Hey all, just popping on quickly to see if there's news from bumps and calico.

bumps... so glad everything is ok... I hope you manage to get some rest although as we all know that's easy to say but hard to do with little ones underfoot. Fingers crossed for you.

I got a phone call from the hospital today, they had a cancellation so A has been given surgery slot on Friday so we're in a panic here trying to rope in grandmothers to do some babysitting for us so dp can come with us. Had to cancel A's psyche assessment which was on the same day (sods law... I wait for 2 appointments for months and they both give me the same day and time!) Wish I had more time to mentally prepare but at least it'll be over and done with and I can get on with PT and discouraging him from his boob obsession afterwards!

mumoverseas · 04/04/2011 20:46

SR have I missed something? What surgery is he going to have? (to do with TT?) I hope you manage to sort out childcare, if I wasn't 3,000 miles away I'd offer to help. Fingers crossed for you and of course A x

MrsY thanks for your comments. Its so reassuring to know it isn't me if that makes sense. I still cannot believe this nonsense is going on, everyone who hears about it is in disbelief that this can be allowed to happen. Just want final outcome then I'm making my formal complaint against DH's company for defamation of character!

SummerRain · 04/04/2011 21:02

Yes.. the tongue tie release. He was seen by ENT last month and the consultant felt he definitely needed the op. Dp got through to his mother and she's delighted to help out and the older kids are over the moon that Nanny is coming to visit so that's all sorted at least Grin

I can't believe that cow is able to cause you so much trouble... utter nonsense! Glad it helped you and your dh make a decision about moving though.... maybe things will improve between you and him if he's not surrounded by so much of the Saudi mentality at work too?

littlesez · 05/04/2011 01:12

jeez MOS what a saga, it sounds lieka nightmare! oh gosh its so late so will pop back again soon
x

SilveryMoon · 05/04/2011 13:14

Hi all
Bumps so pleased everything is ok, hopefully you can rest up a bit.
Calico how did his up go yesterday?

Evrything's still a bit tense at work. 1 woman is calming down a bit and has found it in herself to at least be professional when I've been placed in her room to cover another staff member.
The woman I was swapped with is still going out of her way to complete ignore me and when I was sent to her class this morning she completely blanked me when I said one of the kkids didn't look right.
Had enough of her coming to my class to say hello to everyone else in the room and utterly blank me but hey ho.

My 2 are both over cp now. Lookign forwrad to half term

Calico1 · 05/04/2011 18:51

bumps - very glad that all is ok with the little bump!

SR - sooner better than later - gives you less time to worry about it!

Thanks for all your kind thoughts. Spent most of yesterday afternoon at the hospital (fun with both DCs to entertain Hmm ). All the blood tests came back without any abnormality - so the likelyhood is that his kidney problem was caused by a previous bacterial infection that caused his kidneys to react badly. Urine tests show that his kidneys are slowly recovering so am hopeful that he will be back to normal in a few weeks. He still looks awful - pale with dark circles under his eyes - and is still having problems with wee accidents which is very upsetting for him but I am relieved that the tests showed no other issues. He started complaining about abdominal pain and has a few episodes of being doubled up in pain literally screaming, but after a couple of ultra sound scans the doc thinks that is 'renal colic', or possibly a side effect of the anti-biotics he was taking, and will pass without any need for medication. All in all it's good news but he still needs to have twice weekly checks at the GP until all is normal again.

Oh and he got into the village school - so I'll be able to see him in the school hall from my kitchen window!

SilveryMoon · 05/04/2011 19:04

Calico That's great news, what a relief Grin

oooggs · 05/04/2011 19:08

dinkystinky · 05/04/2011 20:34

SR - good luck for Friday - it'll be fine. Danny and I will be sending A and you big hugs

mumoverseas · 06/04/2011 09:03

calico good news ref DS and school

oooggs fingers crossed for you ref school places, its horrible having to wait isnt' it. Although we were very pleased to get DD's first choice place we now need to do some serious thinking about what is best for the whole family, all 6 of us, not just DD.

Well we are supposed to hear by (our) midday today what the recommendation was regarding the ridiculous allegations/investigation. Things really kicking off here. Found out yesterday that the nasty specimen who was investigating was apparently sued by another wife for defamation of character a year or so ago. He has had many complaints about him and about a week ago ordered my best friend to get rid of her dog as claimed it was vicious and had to go (was a minor incident when she - the dog, not friend, was on another compound but she was scared by an unleased dog) anyway, this nasty specimen basicaly said she had to go and friend and husband are arguing it. Turns out this man lied and said he had carried out a thorough investigation which he had not so he has been challenged and we have got statements and he seems to be trying to backtrack now. I think he isn't used to people standing up to him but sometimes you just have to.

That is the thing I hate most about being here, the control that these people seem to have over our lives.

Anyway, have been somewhat distracted. DD's school phoned yesterday am to say she'd hurt her arm falling of monkey bars at playtime. Took straight to med centre and they thought not broken and sent home. Went back in the afternoon to see dr who again thought just bruised and sent home. she was really bad all night so took to hospital this am for xray and she has chipped a bone in her elbow so all strapped up and have to go back Saturday evening for appointment with otho specialist Sad

SummerRain · 06/04/2011 10:13

Oh, your poor dd mos.... elbows are a nasty one to break. Hope she's doing ok, horrible when they do themselves damage so young isn't it.

They do seem to cope much better when they're young though. Once the initial pain eased for dd when she broke her leg she wasn't a bit bothered and adjusted very quickly to the cast.

Calico... that's great news, although I'm sure it's still worrying seeing him so unwell. Great news about the school. We can see the school from our house too and hear the kids playing from the garden... it's lovely knowing they're so close at hand (although the school take the piss at times as they know i'm close... they rang yesterday as dd was having a nosebleed and wanted me to 'come have a look' Hmm)

oooggs · 06/04/2011 12:50

mos - hope dd is ok, poor chick.

big decisions for your family, good luck in whatever you choose Smile

dinkystinky · 06/04/2011 14:23

Oh no MoS, poor DD - i hope her arm gets better soon. Cant believe the crap going on at your compound - sounds like the sooner you can get out from that toxic place, the better!
