Hello. Smile

HouseOfAHundredNappies · 08/10/2010 21:05

Wow, lots of you appeared whilst I was typing! Grin

BibiBelle · 08/10/2010 21:07

OMG I'm dying of shame watching embarrassing bodies and it's nothing to do with me even!!

FjorgynAndHotWater · 08/10/2010 21:10

Wotcha house Smile

Bibi my boss googled woman + warts today at work; she was trying to find a picture of an ugly old crone but I needed to bleach my eyeballs when she showed me the pictures it brought up...

Tea time, back soon x

BibiBelle · 08/10/2010 21:13

so jealous of your tea. I did have mince and potatoes earlier but I've still got the munchiesBlush

it is now officially stovies and soup time of year

HouseOfAHundredNappies · 08/10/2010 21:26

I'm watching it too, but thinking that the guy doctor (Dr Christian?) needs to do something about his hairstyle! I can't stop looking at it!

Fjorgyn (I have to spell out your name in my head as I type it!) I just love that expression 'bleach my eyeballs', very descriptive! Grin

Bibi, is it just my scottish-ness or does mince and potatoes just not sound as appetising as mince and tatties??

BibiBelle · 08/10/2010 21:31

It doesn't Hundred but I was trying not to sound too hoots man its a braw moonlich nicht the night Grin

right - I have a WWYD scenario and I'm not brave enough to head out into land of AIBU to adress it so you lot will have to fix it.

A is now pregnant, 6wks. So far she has been hospitalised and it having issues with her blood pressure. Has arrived this week and announced that she is not to be in higly stressful situations or do anything stressful Hmm She has since been telling my friends all her news and that she is able to look after the girls but not do the housework I make her do so. what to do what to do??

aStarInStrangeways · 08/10/2010 21:43

at women + warts Grin Do these people have no experience of the internot?

I am just finishing a glass of delicious Gewurztraminer, so with everyone :)

Fjorgyn we had chicken for tea as well, it was bloody gorgeous. No pud though, no

Bibi double hurrah for new shop. I forget you were ever involved with the 'trust' (oh the irony), you have blown so far past them now :)

Hi Queen :) I agree with you, but recommend to all that we keep the troll's name off our thread as much as possible in case she is out there googling. It seems extreme but nothing surprises me about online crazies anymore. Someone I know on another board was cyber-stalked and harassed by a proper fullblown nut job, really badly. Stalker ended up in prison after much dodging of the police and online protestations of innocence. Meanwhile the person I know has had to stop blogging and doing lots of other things she was involved with, because the stalker was so persistent and so toxic. Nasty business.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 08/10/2010 21:50

Good thinking jailbird will get that post deleted.

HouseOfAHundredNappies · 08/10/2010 21:51

Grin at the first part of your post Bibi! To be honest, I'm not sure what advice to give about your scenario, I'm an Issue Avoider Blush. I'm sure one of the other girls can give you some great advice though. Sorry.

blueberryboybait · 08/10/2010 22:15

Evening - I am here to whinge and run... Promise I will be a lovely thread buddy tomorrow when I cool down slightly, please feel free to ignore.

We had people to dinner tonight lovely evening planned, ILs turn up and join in dinner, not a problem I had plenty but WHY o WHY does FIL have to monopolise the conversation with absolutely no regard for anyone else's beliefs or feeling??? aaaarrrggggggghh.

Thank you for listening and I will read and reply to you all in the morning and you can beat me with a big stick if I leave you out!

salta · 09/10/2010 00:05

bibi - post in the employment issues section here - they are really good.

How about doing a full health and safety assessment with her about which parts of the job she is able to do, and which not.

Put everything in writing (do it nicely, but do it anyway)

Is she self employed? Can you just reduce her hours?

Do you need her, even with the reduced tasks?

Hello everyone else. Love to all.

salta · 09/10/2010 00:09

Nursery hilarious really. So DD is a bit young to be left with the new nanny soooooo

DS, DD, our nanny and I all go to nursery, where the adaptation process is taking a while. A week and a half so far. I don't think that it is the separation that is the problem, more the learning how to be in a group, do tasks at a set time, etc. that DS is struggling with

DD's nanny appears very good - but she is a cleaner who babysits, rather than a nanny who cleans (does this make sense - very common here) so I'm not really getting any more time to work at the moment, but my house is completely spotless!

Admin · 09/10/2010 01:29

bibi you need to tell her to take a hike! you don't need the stress. type up a play schedule that is extremely active and outline the cleaning duties from a to z then give it to her to review with the statement, "this is what i need. can you do this? if you can't then we need to part ways." see ya. bye bye!

we are settled in our home base for the weekend. the wedding is an hour north into the mountains tomorrow. all is going well apart from dd2 showing signs of a really good head cold in the works. she's very stopped up. i've done my very best to keep her drinking/sipping water all day. moisture moisture moisture. fingers crossed we make until sunday night without an croup issue.

oh this is too funny...
we were shopping for a wedding card this evening and dd1 started reading cards allowed. the first card read: "SCREW THE CAKE!" dh immediately turned her OUT of the card isle.Confused

Dizzy - why has she been hospitalised? at 6 weeks there should be no reason what so ever to no do her job to it's description - possibly not picking and lifting the bigger 2 but otherwise if she doesn't run the marathon to get to you BP can be controlled. I think you need to sit down with her and let her know that You know being pregnantcan be hard and the first few weeks are worrying but you need the job done, you can accept that there will be times when she feels sick/tired/ugly/etc. but it will only get worse so get used to it! Seriously I think you can ask for a note from the GP if she wants/needs light duties (not that I am saying you are a slave driver) just to be sure it is not just her being precious.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 09/10/2010 08:30

Morning all. Feeling v tired today thanks to DD getting up at 6 for some imaginary reason, then at 6.15 because she'd lost her teddy, then at 6.30 because her covers had come off. That time she woke DS too

salta v Envy of your clean house!

bbbb your PIL are weird

bibi I like admin's idea Grin

Made the big mistake of bringing an argos catalogue home yesterday. DD now making extensive lists of birthday and christmas presents she is expecting, which is a shame as only managed another 50p on the euromillions last night. Bugger.

HippyHippopotamus · 09/10/2010 09:24

sorry, feel like i'm just taking from you atm, i'll start giving soon but... anyone around to calm me down? apparently i went on a power trip this morning whe i asked him not to swear in front of our children. i'm so angry with him

HippyHippopotamus · 09/10/2010 09:24

angry about how he's being generally, not just the swearing!

HippyHippopotamus · 09/10/2010 09:28

and another fucking passive aggressive fb staus so i've blocked him

blueberryboybait · 09/10/2010 09:32

Hippy - he is being a brat plain and simple - it is more than likely he is feeling left out (only child syndrome) and is try doing it all toget your attention, do what you would with DS ignore ignore ignore until he behave like an adult.

HippyHippopotamus · 09/10/2010 09:59

this morning DS told me that 'daddy wahwahwah' ie daddy's been shouting. i tried to explain that it wasn't DS that daddy was upset with but i don't think he understood. DH out all day today so at least we don't have to put up with him being around today
i don't know how much longer i can do everything on my own. especially when he's doing things to be deliberately annoying. DD was sleeping this morning, ds was awake but happily playing in his room so i thought i'd jump in the shower. dh got up, opened stairgate on ds's bedroom, left stair gate on stairs open and told me he had to go downstairs, couldm't take ds with him so i had to watch him (i'm still in the shower at this point) I asked dh calmly later if he just hadn't thought about what he was doing or if it was to wind me up. he refused to answer.

BibiBelle · 09/10/2010 10:14

hippy - well done you, I'd have punched him HmmAngry

thanks all re childcare. I've no idea why she's been hospitalised - something to do with being sick/dehydrated but she still managed to arrive and announce that she needs to do nothing to get her blood pressure up. I really can't be arsed anymore. I bend over backwards. Don't mention that she is late every fucking time she's here. She charged us for 8 days last month when she was only here 7 and I gave her every opportunity to mention it. When she didn't I did instead. She works under 16hrs on one job, claims benefits and gets cash in hand from myself and her other employee so frankly should be rolling in it. Am not proud of my rant Blush but if you give her one inch she's at it. Ill at some point every week. Always on her mobile. One drama after another. But gets on great with the kids. There is no official contract/nothing written. Just a verbal agreement re a months notice but it is unfortunate that we need the flexibility she can offer.

DD3 up at sodding 3am and disturbed me ever since so I'm shattered. This morning all we've managed to do is sort out the coloured pens/pencils, eat bacon butties and watch recorded strictly! Out for lunch and wee show this afternoon but am seriously considering leaving DD3 behind in her bed because she'll be shattered and stroppy. If she wakens up she'll waken DH though and by all accounts he had a shite night Sad

BibiBelle · 09/10/2010 10:14

no yoyo win here either unless the work syndicate has come in and at that point we're doing a mass walk out!!

FjorgynAndHotWater · 09/10/2010 10:27

At least if you leave DD3 behind it'll solve the dilemma of the missing ticket...

If your CM can only do half a job is there any chance you could pay her a lot bit less with the threat of dobbing in to dwp ?

Oh Hippy mate Sad if that was me I would be screaming/ranting/crying/hitting/slamming doors. It's so shitty that you effectively have three children. Don't know what to suggest apart from a good kicking but thinking of you anyway Smile

Better get tidying as two children relatively unsupervised for the last three hours = a bit of a mess Blush

HippyHippopotamus · 09/10/2010 10:36

trust me fjorgyn, if dc weren't here that's exactly what i'd be doing. ds is such a sensitive little thing though and he gets upset if he sees i am. i'm off to the bottle bank later to break some glass

bibi you've achieved more than i have. cbeebies has been utilised already Blush
will dd3 sleep in the pushchair this afternoon?

silk was it K who was a v young tummy sleeper? we've got one here now!

BibiBelle · 09/10/2010 10:45

christ I am over tired shouty mum this morning Sad

D has demolished a set of hairclasps. DD2 has ripped bubble wrap all over the place. DD1 has to be told at least 3 times this morning to do stuff and all I'm getting is a Hmm face that it making me angry I hate being tired & grumpy.

Hips - no way she'll sleep in a pushchair with all that going on and everyone about. Sod him. I've had no sleep so why after he got to sleep till 1pm yesterday thanks to me should I make my afternoon (and everyone else's) hell taking stroppy toddler just so as not to disturb him. And I'm with fjorgyn. Sometimes a good kicking screaming session is the only thing that has a decent enough effect on a situation unfortunately.
