Smile

Too much pressure and too little thread space left me with but one choice so here we are. Let's discuss further the private space because quite honestly the "private" space is not so "private" at the moment. I'm no detective BUT there's only a handful of threads over there and all are beckoning me to read through them. For the moment we are safer here. Like a new model car, we should wait and let the kinks be worked out by the folks that can't WAIT to be part of the "new thing."Smile

tweakers - he's just visiting. Not one of my lot will even realise that it will be round my due date. He invited my brother to come up too but R says that after their extended volcanic hols in Spain it's unlikely that SIL will come. She's too busy telling DBrother to go to my aunts house and get up the loft for all the girl's baby clothes so she can have them for dneice Angry Fair enough I told her I would have a look but I want to look through them to see what I want to keep not have her choose what she wants and bin the rest Hmm the sizes she needs are up here anyway as D has just grown out of them Sad

phone the curry for you, have you enough to cover your half?!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 25/09/2010 20:38

Forgot to ask if you can see the shineyness from my new computer in my posts :)

Tweaks - I'd give you some cash if I was closer. Order yours and then when he reutrn look confused and say you assumed he wasn't hungry.

Dizz - I will work on Rew but he is having kittens about the girls and I travelling 8 hours on our own and it is his manic time at work so he can't come. The girls clothes are yours so she needs to ask you for the ones you want to give her not assume they are hers! Angry

tweakers · 25/09/2010 20:39

i can't believe that they're being so insensitive

how do you feel about doing something special on the 23rd, involving your brother, dad and anyone else who's at yours? not sure what though... it doesn't seem right that they don't even realise the significance of the date of their visit. yes it'll be a very sad time but why should you have to hide it from them?

tweakers · 25/09/2010 20:40

nope, def haven't got enough cash... decision made, i'm going to stick something in the oven. it'll have to be curry tomorrow!

dizzydixies · 25/09/2010 20:43

Oops - I've had to turn you down - you're too bright Grin

Tweakers - I don't want to share it with any of them. DH and I will mark it somehow and even if it is a few days after when they're gone G won't be forgotten here.

can you not pay by card over the phone?

oopsandbabycoconuts · 25/09/2010 20:49

Dizzy - you know he won't be forgotten here either. He will always be part of us too.

dizzydixies · 25/09/2010 20:52

thanks oops :-)

someone has just contacted me by email re gluten free stuff - am going to have to extend my range

oopsandbabycoconuts · 25/09/2010 20:54

With the gluten free stuff I always gave them a plain sugar syrup soak to stop them being dry which is alway the problem I had with GF cakes.

dizzydixies · 25/09/2010 21:05

a plain sugar soak?

the hummingbird ones work very well as you can just add a little more pineapple juice to them Smile

oopsandbabycoconuts · 25/09/2010 21:12

I just prick them a little with a pin and brush them with sugar syrup leave it to soak in and re brush 3 or 4 times. Makes GF choccie cake much yummier.

dizzydixies · 25/09/2010 21:12

Oops - have just found this icedgembakes

oopsandbabycoconuts · 25/09/2010 21:14

GF brownies by post!!!

dizzydixies · 25/09/2010 21:19

I've got all the stuff home to try them out so that I can add them to the range - I'm just trying to track down wholesale G/F chocolate/cocoa

oopsandbabycoconuts · 25/09/2010 21:19

Will do some searching for you.

dizzydixies · 25/09/2010 21:22

the cocoa should be fine and the G&B dark chocolate is gluten free - I just need g/f choc chips - ah rock n roll in the house of dixie on a Sat night Hmm

dizzydixies · 25/09/2010 21:31

Check you out recipe of the week Oops!!! Is there no end to your talents?! Grin

oopsandbabycoconuts · 25/09/2010 21:31

have FB'd you some who do gf chocolate chips and cocoa powder in bulk.

oopsandbabycoconuts · 25/09/2010 21:38

I just noticed that - first white choc and raspberry muffins now plum tart, twice in a year they must be running short of recipes!

Is this the Dizzy and Oops show?

tweakers · 25/09/2010 22:43

hello, i'm back, can i join in on the oops/dizzy show? Grin

neighbour left, dh came in from shed, apologised and told me he loves me. and he then joined me in eating chicken kiev with chips and peas [glamorous meal emoticon] we're all friends again Smile

hmm, dizz, i do understand you wanting to do something on your own for G. Oops is right, he'll never be forgotten here

i've just finished a fair sized vat of ice cream off! DH saw that the pot was out of the freezer, so got up to put it away... i mentioned that he might want to check what he was putting away before going to the effort of finding space in the freezer for it GrinBlush the pot contained my orange peel!!
but that doesn't mean a slab of cake wouldn't go down well Smile

oooh, well done oops! have you entered your brownie recipe?

tweakers · 25/09/2010 22:51

ooh and two things i keep forgetting to share with you all...

has anyone tried the new bookmarking thing on here? you need to be on mumsnet new view thing but its worth it (i swapped esp to try the bookmark)

and also, Pea has got a really chubby little face now! she looks like a little hamster!

TwilightSurfer · 25/09/2010 23:41

New View?

How does one get this new view????

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 25/09/2010 23:53

Okay I've figured out how to get the "new view". Still searching for the bookmarking feature.

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 25/09/2010 23:55

And NOW I have bookmarking ability. Hmmm...

I will be bookmarking this spot.Wink

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 26/09/2010 01:20

Well now I have to learn how to make the bookmark USEFUL!Hmm

I have just spent the last however much time since my last post saving all the ante-natal threads to my hard drive. Now I can't get the blasted .xps files to open. I should quit, right?
