Smile

Too much pressure and too little thread space left me with but one choice so here we are. Let's discuss further the private space because quite honestly the "private" space is not so "private" at the moment. I'm no detective BUT there's only a handful of threads over there and all are beckoning me to read through them. For the moment we are safer here. Like a new model car, we should wait and let the kinks be worked out by the folks that can't WAIT to be part of the "new thing."Smile

Oh dear hotpot Shock It was 6.15 here but I bought O into my bed (dh away), and ds1 had spent the night in my bed so i went back to sleep we had a big cuddle for an hour Grin

hotterpotter · 25/09/2010 08:27

It wasn't too bad, was just exaggerating for sympathy! I went down to get some milk at 6 but when I came back upstairs all was quiet. He woke at 6.30 and the milk didn't send him back to sleep (should have put medised in it) but he and DD mostly played in their room until nearly 8am so am feeling a lot better than I expected to!

Well done on your shopping cece Grin

CrispyTheCrisp · 25/09/2010 08:29

Morning. A a bright and clear sunny one it is too. Hope you have the same cyteen. Relax and enjoy your day Smile

DH and i watched Dragons Den and ended up having a heated debate for an hour over business strategy ConfusedGrin

Today we are going to the farmers market, have 14, yes 14 Blush bags to take to the charity shop and the ebayed change table & high chair are being collected. My new glasses are ready for collection, so i shall take the opportunity to wander round a few shops (avoiding Next like the plague!)

hotterpotter · 25/09/2010 08:41

Sounds like a lovely day ahead crispy, just don't buy too much cheese at the market...

DC are watching a DVD of old Tom and Jerry, they are enthralled but I' wondering whether it's just giving them ideas [eek]

Happy Wedding Day Cyteen!!!

Ok massive rant here and i need to know aibu!!!

We have been invited to a wedding nxt weekend.. asked months ago one of "h" very good friends.. agreed that i would go..

Asked the cm if she could look after the girls.. no problem.. noticed on fb about a month ago that a friend was having her 30th on the same day and that my sil had accepted the invited.. reconfirmed with the cm that i definitely had her booked so that if sil asked her she would say that she was already busy...

got text from sil this am asking if it would be all right for her and bil to stay over at my house nxt sat so that cm could babysit for them as well as my two..

i asked sil if the cm had agreed to this and apparently she said that would be ok..

now that would me that i would have the cm/bil/sil/nephew all staying at my house when i am not even there!!! Also if the cm agreed to look after my two why didn't she tell sil that she was already tied up??

This now draws into question her commitment to me if i was to get this job...

I AM FUMING... please help me on this one Smile

dizzydixies · 25/09/2010 15:52

do you and SIL ^share a CM Loti? Is the CM going to offer you a reduced rate for looking after other children as well as yours or not? I would wait and ask LNT as she's in the know Wink

Are you and DH going away for the weekend? Is it a SIL on your side or DH's side? It all depends whether or not you want to calm the family waters or no longer care?

mine has told me that she is pregnant, to the bloke she's been with for 5 months and is marrying in Dec - apologies but judgey pants are on and I told DH that this would happen - she's a whole 3kws gone and the aches/pains/excuses are starting already

Happy Wedding Day Cyteen, the sun has shone up here all day and I hope that the same has happened for you Smile

luckoftheirish · 25/09/2010 16:02

dizzy our cm is the mother of one of dh's friends, so she babysits for us alwell.. told the cm that i knew that sil would be asking and ensured that it was in her diary so not to double book..

now it looks like her and sil have been in cahoots behind my back.. she is dh's sil iykwim.. reckon i will end up not going as don't want h to fall our with his brother and i am at the end of my tether with the cm.. i mean i have used her for 5 years, sil for 3 months.. can see where the cm's loyalties lie!!

your sil sound like a right character Hmm

dizzydixies · 25/09/2010 16:04

lol, thats my CM, not my SiL Smile

luckoftheirish · 25/09/2010 16:08

doh!! brain gone to mush dizz Blush

dizzydixies · 25/09/2010 16:10

Have you managed to speak to the CM about it? From what I recall your SIL seems to be a piece of work so maybe she hasn't had a chance to refuse? I'd check that side first

luckoftheirish · 25/09/2010 16:16

not spoke to cm yet but asked sil if she had spoken to cm about and she said she had, guessing that means the cm saw the pound signs and agreed!

CaptainCaveman · 25/09/2010 16:29

No wise words Loti but yanbu Smile. Is the issue that they have 'planned' to stay at your house knowing you won't be there? Cheeky beggars. Will it upset you not to go?

We WON Grin 2- 0 and I SCORED a cracking goal Grin Yippee!

luckoftheirish · 25/09/2010 16:34

well done on the goal cece.. i got asked to play this week but "h" away so had to decline Sad...

they really are cheeky buggars.. they knew i had booked the babysitter months ago.. i told the babysitter they would try and get her to sit and she laughed and said don't worry i am already booked for you!! Now it seems they have decided amongst themselves to use my house as babysitting central..

would have liked to have gone as haven't been out in a long time but tbh tis too much trouble iykwim

dizzydixies · 25/09/2010 16:41

hurrah for Cece. I've had a small achievement myself that I'm about to upload onto FB - was preening all day Blush

and LOTI I'm sorry, I forgot to say YANBU - I wouldn't be happy with people I wasn't fond of staying in the house when I wasn't there either Hmm

TwilightSurfer · 25/09/2010 19:05

Lucky sooooooo

  1. does this mean you'll be canceling the CM because YOU aren't going to the wedding?
  1. does this mean you got an invite to the friends 30th?
  1. can you not call your CM and complain?
  1. do you have another CM you can call, canceling the 1st one (and telling her she can go CM at the SIL's house)?

I don't think yabu at all. I'd be ticked!

YOU BOOKED IT and CM changed your booking. NOT COOL! NOT COOL AT ALL!!
