Smile

Too much pressure and too little thread space left me with but one choice so here we are. Let's discuss further the private space because quite honestly the "private" space is not so "private" at the moment. I'm no detective BUT there's only a handful of threads over there and all are beckoning me to read through them. For the moment we are safer here. Like a new model car, we should wait and let the kinks be worked out by the folks that can't WAIT to be part of the "new thing."Smile

Ooh Tweakersthe things we do for love eh? Really hope it all gets better quick.

Oops So Envy of DD1's speech, how much fun is the world inside a 2yr old's head. Think we had our first 2 word combination today though! He was being characteristically cautious walking on a 6" high (but 18" wideHmm) plinth in town and to speed him up I said come on, let's catch Nomo (DS1). After that he kept repeating 'Hats NoNose'Grin.

tweakers · 02/10/2010 22:43

i reckon ds will be a stand up comedian when he's older.... i asked him earlier if he wanted to go out and get some air. he replied 'yes'
so i told him it was his job to remind me to buy some milk. to which he replied 'yes, moo juice'
so, we were walking up the road and i asked him what we needed to get and he replied 'air' and giggled! HmmGrin

TwilightSurfer · 03/10/2010 07:55

Lucky I haven't made the bread yet. I'm letting the bananas ripen a little more first.

Buckets I wish R would be "cautious". She flings herself in every direction. Tonight the owner of the marina restaurant took a fork away from her. She was running with it.Hmm And I do believe "hats nonose" is spot on for 'catch Nomo'. Well done K!

Tweakers your story made me cross my legs and wince. I really hope the anti-bs work quickly. Oh my that must be horrific.

Cyteen I read your last comment as "get ready for some hardcore wedding." Made me go Hmmhmm does she have more interesting photos to share from last weekend? Then I reread it and went OH. 2AM is not the best time to read for clarity.

Oops I am in absolute AWE of P. Would it be possible to arrange a Skype chat between her and R? I'd like for her to do a little peer pressuring, if you know what I mean.Wink

Crispy your days always sound like a fairy tale to me. You really do live a blessed life.Smile

ALBS that sounds like a lot of work for a 7 year old. I hope you'll post the results of the cat thing. I wish I had mentioned one of my three also eats cobwebs. That might have been a funny addition to her data collection.Grin

HP I'm glad you won a little playing the lottery. Maybe soon you'll have the luck of one American. He's won a million TWICE.Shock There's not even any statistical data they can create to show the odds of that happening because it was two completely different lottery games.

Dizzy I know you are extremely busy but hello.

As for me, I'm up because R is sporting a fever. I think she's had it all day to be honest. It's not very high (100*) but it's wearing on her now. K's dealing with a stuff up nose which can only be compared in her mind to the end of the world.Hmm I don't feel too hot myself but I've been working so hard the past few days. Adding to all my regular chores and duties; I've spent 6+ hours cleaning my dad's place. If I had 10 more I could have it almost show ready (if they wanted to sell it). I'll not go on as it will just sound like a complaint.Hmm

Later.Biscuit

TwilightSurfer · 03/10/2010 08:22

Fairy Cakes... yum Grin Thanks Sarah.

I've been wasting time trying to get sleepy over on Etsy.

I found this crocheted creation that I thought Buckets would like.

Morning!

tweakers how are you feeling today?

Think ds1 might have broken his big toe...he was playing with dneice yesterday evening and he cracked it something wicked on the door frame. Immediately lots of wailing but this then carried on for over an hour, and there's me telling him not to be such a drama queen. I checked his toe immediately and it looked ok, but when I checked again an hour later its all fat and swollen Blush. Am now debating whether to go to A&E as he can't bend it and it is painful for him to walk (he woke up in the night in pain too). NHS direct website is less than helpful, wondering whether to ring them instead...

GladioliBuckets · 03/10/2010 11:23

Cool!

TwilightSurfer · 03/10/2010 13:44

Captain a cool foot x-ray would be grand for a young boy to have. Just go.

Buckets glad you like it.

R doesn't seem to be feverish now. DH got up with the both of them this morning. I remembered during the night the teachers at her preschool mentioning several from her class have had the croup recently. Maybe this was her way of having it but not having it bad (with sinus crap and barking). Fingers crossed.

cc can i join you in your non-poty training corner please Smile
i'm ok..ish!

ts i love those head phones!

loti yes please to a cake!

tweakers · 03/10/2010 14:00

just seen on fb that cc has taken T to a&e... hope he's ok captain

TS hope R is lots better soon too

oh and we've seen our allotment Grin
lets just say we lost T in the middle of it and its only half a plot Hmm 'overgrown' doesn't quite cover it! still, it'll be fun oh and cyteen, i managed to sneak a bit of 'knowledge' to the guy showing us round. He mentioned that it wasn't such a bad thing to have lots of grass growing and to just cut it down and leave the roots because it was good for the soil. i asked him if it was because of the nitrogen Grin DH was rather shocked i knew Smile

RedLentil · 03/10/2010 14:48

Hi there. I hope CC's little fellow feels better soon.

Congratulations Spring-I've been reading if not posting. Hurrah! Hurrah!

Things are hectic here-I'm trying to pack up here before we move home at the beginning of the week. DH also decided it was time to go over all the figures for the extension with me so I can see exactly the slog that lies ahead in terms of paying things off. I'd turn to drink, if I could buy a bottle. Grin

Anyhow, it'll all settle down I suppose. It'll be a great comfort to be home. At least, it will if there are mice in the traps when Tim gets there later. Confused

DD2 had us all howling in the car the other day when we were stuck behind someone driving slowly and she shouted 'Can't drive, that man!' Lots of fun with her, though she is getting more fussy about stuff sometimes too.

CrispyTheCrisp · 03/10/2010 14:54

Ha TS, if having your arm up to your elbow down the drain is a fairytale, then yup, life was such yesterday HmmGrin. Actually am having a pretty good time atm, job going well, DDs pretty good and their childcare fab, DH being lovely (and helpful) and getting some time to myself to meet up with friends Smile. I am enjoying while it lasts as sadly i am sure it's 'just a phase' Hmm

Hurrah for TweakLand - I am sure you will have as much fun as Cyteen. T&J can Skype and compare notes Grin

TS glad it sounds like R is on the mend Smile

Cece hope CaveBoy's toe is ok. I was going 'ouch' and wincing as i read your post

Glads Am loving HatsNoNose Grin. DD2 has learned from DD1 'It's not fair'

oops hope you all enjoyed Peppa. DD2 would love it, but i think i will have to wait until they come back round this way [too disorganised]

We have been to the gym & swimming this morning, prepped the pizza stuff for toddler group and made a lemon cake for refreshments. Now relaxing watching Bambi. I should be completing my pensions form but am occupied by MN and FB instead Blush

GladioliBuckets · 03/10/2010 16:08

YES YES YES!!! Just confirmed we have my aunt's 3bed cottage in magical magical village nr Tavistock for half term. Will bring BF&son and maybe our DH's may even join us for the kick-off (and to light the gas fireWink). So excited.

tweakers · 03/10/2010 16:51

we popped over to mothercare today to buy a pair of their £5 wellies for T. we came home with thomas wellies (£10!), two pairs of pyjamas for t and some more washable breast pads. if dh had his way we'd have bought a horrible peppa pig tshirt and various other items of clothing that t doesn't need! dh is a nightmare when he goes shopping!!

crisp the guy at the allotment asked T what he wants to grow. He replied "toast!" Grin

ooh well done buckets! sounds great!

hiya red, you must be so excited at almost being home!!

alittlebitshy · 03/10/2010 18:25

tweaks gaaaah i have PILE of washable breastpads. if you still need any let me know and i will post them (one by one lol) through the door.

tweakers · 03/10/2010 19:23

albs i'll have whatever you don't need please!! i'm getting through at least two pairs, if not three a day and having to use disposable when they're all in the wash!

tweakers · 03/10/2010 19:26

oh but posting them one by one won't be necessary Grin i think i can probably manage to make you a cup of tea! i've eaten all the biscuits though

CrispyTheCrisp · 03/10/2010 19:47

I have had 2 text messages on my phone today - announcing the birth of two baby girls, Ca ra and E lise (deliberate breaks lol). Second one is to my French friends Smile

tweakers · 03/10/2010 19:50

right girls, i'm doing a little survey and i need your help Grin

DH reckons one can tell if a man is left or right handed by looking at his balls. Sooooo, can you please check your DH's/DP's balls Grin
What I would like to know is
a) which one is higher ie the left ball or the right one
and b) is he left handed or right handed

thank you Smile

tweakers · 03/10/2010 19:51

actually, i'm going to post my request in chat as well so i get more results Grin

evening crispy, lovely news re the baby girls! there do seem to be alot around at the moment!

CaptainCaveman · 03/10/2010 19:52

Poor old T has cracked his big toe Sad but he is being extra brave and telling everyone within ear shot what he did. Nice black toe he is now sporting. Nothing they can do except rest and painkillers (and no sport for a couple of weeks). He was more upset that the dr said he couldn't go swimming today!! Sending him to school tomorrow in one shoe and one sandal!!! Grin

cyteen gorgeous wedding photos on fb. Is that tattoo real?

CaptainCaveman · 03/10/2010 19:55

loti tell me about your villa?....

tweakers · 03/10/2010 20:14

oh no, poor T. i hope he's getting medicinal chocolate too

TwilightSurfer · 03/10/2010 20:42

Right on Tweaks! Chocolate cures so much!!

I just ordered a Kindle 3G. That means ya'll need to help me in the book department. Where do people learn about good reads?Hmm The good thing is the Kindle is a gift from the parental unit and his wife for my cleaning services this week. They don't know that I paid a plumber to take care of turning their water back on so minus that I earned $50US.Grin That's gotta be a win, right?Wink

cyteen · 03/10/2010 21:32

Cavey yes it is :) Hope T's toe heals up soon and he doesn't milk the situation too much Grin
