dh Sam has no routine, sometimes he's asleep from 6pm, othertimes he's still up at 10.

tsc we moved to Hereford, the house is bigger than our last one and the kitchen randomly has 2 sinks in it Hmm I finally have my freezer back in the kitchen though Grin it was under the stairs at the last place!

needle it will just be a phase, the bf thing does sound likely. I've got the complete opposite which is equally frustrating, Sam doesn't settle for anyone except me. I've put him down for the first time since 5.30 and he's screaming/red in the face etc.

I cut my fingertip rummaging through boxes yesterday and it's really painful to type...what a pita!

Morning ladies.

You would not believe the night we've had here. Gwen settled down yesterday afternoon and was her normal cheerful self until she went down at about ten and what with it being a Friday, dh and I went crazy and played a game of backgammon (worth 32 points and putting yours truly in the lead for the first time since may, thank you very much) dh read the paper, we watched some telly, I had baked a mountain of cake, because losing the baby weight up to this point has just been far too easy...Wink
Aaanyway, so we go to bed at about 3. At five, yes, five am we're woken by a pair I'd rag and bone men going through the skip on our drive. Dh goes down to see what's going on, they give him their card- (rag and bone men have business cards now?!) and while he's politely asking them to shut the f**k up, a couple of moron thugs jump a guy about 200yds away and shove s broken bottle in his face. Dh chases them off. They take the guy's phone and run. Ten mins later they come back turns out that one if them's dropped his own phone in the scuffle, which of course dh finds and pockets for the police. The long and the short if it is that my crimebusting husband and I finally roll into bed at 7.30, just in time for gwen to wake up in her usual high spirits and demand to be played with.

Just another exciting day at the strip club folks. What does everyone have planned?

Woodlands · 02/10/2010 11:40

crikey needle, what a night! glad you're all ok!

not a great night here - j woke every 2 hours and took forever to settle. what happened to last weekend when he was sleeping in 4/5 hour stretches?

our evening routine consists of feeding getting more and more constant from 7pm onwards. i take him to bed at about 11pm and carry on feeding. he goes to sleep at 1am every day, no matter what i try.

Needle · 02/10/2010 11:51

Oh woodlands, that must be so frustrating. Gwen tends to nap until about five, then wants to feed every 90 mins or so, getting more and more frequent. She usually goes down between 9 and 11 and sleeps until 5 or 7

i must keep remembering i like it that he doesn't wake up till after 9am! i would probably rather that than him go to sleep at 7pm and be up for the day at 5am...

people have told me the cluster feeding should ease off by 3 months - only a couple more weeks to go! we shall see. tonight we're going to a restaurant near Waterloo for SIL's birthday so it will be cluster feeding in uncomfy restaurant chairs... oh joy.

Looking forward to cluster feeding ending!! Having said that, I should count mysel lucky because she cluster feeds from 5-7.30pm but then doesn't wake up until 5am. So it's wine o clock for me too. Grin
But I don't drink. Sad
but i do eat lots of chocolate and ice cream that the kids don't know about Grin

Gracie123 · 02/10/2010 17:46

Ps Chulita your house has two sinks because it was built by someone Jewish. They need to prepare certain foods separately to maintain kosher standards.

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/10/2010 19:04

Sounds like a very good routine mlic I wish Dylan would do that, hes asleep on me now but I know if I tried to put him down he'd wake up.

I have a very loose one mlic he doesnt seem to realise its a routine lol. He's still awake now, not interested in feeding.

Im not too bothered that he's still awake, as long as he eventually drops off around 10 (which he usually does).

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/10/2010 08:13

Shock Shock Shock Dylan slept from 10-5 last night, then had a feed and went straight back to sleep til nearly half 7!! I couldnt believe it I gave him a big hug! Long may it continue Grin

Gracie123 · 03/10/2010 09:29

Bed at 7pm woke at 8.30am!! Do you think she i sick? Should I tell someone?

I can't believe this but dd has slept thru the night for the last three nights!!!

She cluster feeds from 5.30pm to 7.30pm then sleeps upstairs in crib til I wake her at 11.15pmish for a feed then goes back down til 7.45am!!

If it was for toddler waking at least twice a night, screaming the house down then I'd actually be getting a good night's sleep! FFS how long can it take for 4 teeth to come thru?

It sounds as tho all our babies are starting to sleep more now. If I'd be on this kind of thread when I had non-sleeping ds then I'd have been feeling very cross by now!

kkfairybrains · 03/10/2010 11:09

Yay for the babies sleeping through!! Brill news!!
Are you settling into your new house chulita?
Not much to report here. Ellie wasnt in good form really yesterday. Not that she was crying or anything she just wasnt smiling and stuff and wasnt taking her bottles. She was only maybe taking 2 or 3 oz out of them. Would this be cos shes teething?

J slept from 1am-7am, dozed until another feed at 8.30, then DH had to wake us both at 11.15! bliss.

memphis83 · 03/10/2010 15:27

afternoon ladies, sounds good that routines are setting in, my bed routine with him is sleep at 7, then at 10 i change his nappy and dream feed him so he tops up for the night then wakes at 7am, if he does wake when i feed him at 10 i give him bottle and put him in crib and he drops off on his own, rarely let him fall asleep on me!
been to sainsburys for last day if the 25% off clothes got loads of 6-9 month old stuff so clothes wise im totally done until about march! but buying him stuff is my new obsession so im sure he will get more!!! got back and no dh and lo in sight not answering his phone either, maybe hes gone to console himself somewhere after i frogmarched him to the jewellery shop this morning!!
