Have just skim read at work so not much has gone in...

But Chef, TEST ALREADY!!!

MissJ, glad big bed went well. I approve of your due date, it's my birthday! (And , oddly enough, my older sister too!)

Tea, glad you had a good weekend, loved your pics on FB, very gorgeous DCs.

Dog, your MW sounds like a bit of a fruit cake..people say the strangest things. I am trying to persuade DH to get the snip..so need lots of positive snip stories and testemonies that it doesn't hurt! Think he is willing to get it done though, for the sake of his sex life Grin

120 Thank DH for the baby sitting on Saturday night, much appreciated. Hope the viewings went ok.

Happy monday to everyone else...am knackered and brain like a sieve so have retained bugger all!

Discovered this lunch time that while I've been concentrating on the dc's and hospitals etc, the dog's ear infection has caused her to shake her head so badly that she's developed a pinna haematoma (blood clot/bister of the ear flap where the whole thing fills up with blood).

This means she is going to have to have and operation and lots of antibiotics etc and it ain't gonna be cheap. Great timing, as we sorted our finances out at the weekend and we seriously do not have the money to pay for it at the moment.

The vet will also be horrible to dh when he takes her for her appointment tonight, as he will be cross that we didn't catch it sooner. In turn dh will be cross with me, because I am 'the dog person' and should have seen it coming. Hmm Yes well, never mind that I barely saw the dog last week as I spent most of it at the hospital. Angry Poor dog. Sad

On a more positive note, dd has perked up a bit since this morning and ds1 has managed to eat a whole slice of toast, albeit a very small gluten free one.

Evening all

I was right about the dog's ear £200 at least! Shock

Still, all three dcs have managed to eat some vegetable stew for tea and everyone is looking a tad healthier Grin

Dog, I think at 1 week postnatal you are entitled to an early night leaving dp to deal with dinner and bedtime, let alone after you've walked that far. Where's that photo missus - I need to coo over a gorgeous baby. Grin

120 · 20/09/2010 20:27

Dog, I love his little chin. Oh so very cute photo of him floating.

Moose, really sorry to hear you are in the wars again. You need a couple of months off! Poor expensive dog.

I've just realised my post from earlier has disappeared! I've done very well today: strawberry jam, date and tamarind chutney, brownies and cauliflower cheese, wrapped up and prepared three massage sets and capped it all off by washing and brushing DD's hair (takes about 40 mins in total). Phew. Glass of wine, methinks.

3 days! That's amazing ShockEnvy 8 weeks for me, then some more at 10 weeks... not fair!

Def glass of wine 120 and make it a big one.

hackneyzoo · 20/09/2010 21:08

Dog, am loving the pic of DS2 in the bath...he looks so chilled out. Shock at 3 days! I thought I was pretty quick to get back into it after 4 weeks! You young wipper snappers!

120 you are a domestic goddess! Lady I share an office with gave me a massive bag of tomatoes today, so I made some roasted tom and basil soup this evening, which is about my limit for a days domesticity! I really want to make some chutney, never done it before so feel free to recommend some recipes!

Right off to have a bath and start reading the final girl with dragon tattoo book. If anyone wants the first two in the series they are welcome to them FPP.

teaandcakeplease · 20/09/2010 21:26

I've finally read through everything I've missed whilst camping Blush Sorry ladies too many me me me posts lately.

Moose - £200 vet bill? Crumbs! Really hope your DCs keep improving. Did DD sleep better last night? I have also put my heating on low too yesterday. How's your sisters foot/ ankle? My hair looks dire, I don't get around to getting it trimmed enough and I cut my fringe myself a few weeks ago. Doesn't quite look right Hmm

Chef - looking forward to the next installment of the Betty drama Grin Were you trying for a baby interested to know why you woke and thought you maybe pregnant. Sorry to hear you're starting therapy with H but hope it helps. I spend money when I feel a bit rubbish/ guilty too Shock Not logical when my bank account looks so bad though.

DOG - fantastic news about Mr J gaining weight. How did his 8 day check go? Can't blame you for being tired after today. I can't believe about GPs Angry not surprised though after your other thread about the wedding.

Books - what building work are you doing? Did I miss down thread what the purpose of all the hard labour at the weekend was for? Glad you made up with H and the weekend got better Smile

Pat - How's your DH's back today?

Miss J - DS room is so lovely, amazing that he slept so well in it. Hope tonight goes well too. The brownie gift idea sounded good but I missed a lot of the posts on suggestions as I went off googling for ideas and bought something off the cuff. I bought some Thorntons chocolates in the end that said thank you for the weekend on them. Bit rubbish of me really, I ask for suggestions and then rush off and buy something without waiting longer.

120 - wow you sound like you've had a busy day. That amount of cooking fills me with dread as it = washing up Grin Domestic goddess, no wonder you're too tired for nookie Wink Still, isn't a way to a mans heart though his stomach? Wink Grin

Lenni - How are you today? How are your eyes? Sad

Swanage was so lovely btw, the campsite was so nice. Lovely pool and playground on site which DD and DS enjoyed with their cousins and a nice loo block. Very important in my book Wink We went on the Steam Train in Swanage on Saturday which was fun and afterwards grabbed a pastie and went to the beach for a while, before returning to the campsite again and DD going for a swim with her cousins. Sunday we had a cooked breakfast and a slow pack down whilst the kids went to the playground. The kids slept quite well really, DD did wake up cold on Friday night and woke DS with her shouting but they both went back to sleep fairly quickly. Saturday night they didn't wake at all. My word it was cold at night in the tent, I had to sleep in several layers as I gave all blankets to the children the days were lovely and sunny though. My DCs loved playing with their cousins and enjoyed relaxing with my brother and his wife. Lovely weekend, just went too fast.

Disclaimer: there maybe typos, sorry. Still tired as DS woke at 5.45 am

teaandcakeplease · 20/09/2010 21:28

BTW DOG am amazed at 3 days! I was about 7 days with DD and a lot longer with DS, bit Envy of you Grin but you do deserve it after SPD in pregnancy and other shenanigans Smile

Hello.

I can't get passed 3 days. Sorry. I have read but my replies to everything amount to 3 days. Grin

teaandcakeplease · 20/09/2010 21:49

Are you feeling a bit better now Tree? Your last post I read, you sounded very very tired.

missjackson · 20/09/2010 21:54

Sorry to go on about it but 3 days has got to be a record! Doesn't it feel weird? Sorry dog but the first time we finally did it I felt like crying, it was just awful and I thought everything had been ruined forever!

teaandcakeplease · 20/09/2010 21:56

Me too Miss J me too, after DS I had nerve damage and couldn't feel a thing, cried buckets. Improved at 6 months but it was too late by then, the blighter had begun his affair. Oops went off at a tangent Shock

Shock Dog, I am in total dumbstruck awe. So many questions, don't know where to start. God, I feel so vulnerable after giving birth I don't think I could have sex, not for a few weeks anyway because there is far too much blood but apart from that I wouldn't be right. You are soooo good at this having babies business. I love the way life just carries on for you.

chefswife · 21/09/2010 05:19

ATTENTION!!!Grin
I have purchased a test and will be doing it in 10.50 hours. lol Man, what am i thinking? I didn't want to get pregnant for a couple of months at least after DD weened. For boozing.lol

I want to do therapy mostly so we can work on our communication. We headed into a new area of life and are stumbling around a bit, iykwim. Gratitude is another thing he needs to work on. We love each other dearly and after our last row, we just realized it was needed. I grew up in a house where my parents argued every day and if they weren't they were not speaking to each other. Tense household. Anyhow, I know it sounds funny coming with baby talk too, but tis all ok as we are both on board.

Funny thing happened yesterday. DD plays with the baking pans sometimes and a loaf pan was out and she squatted over it and peed in it. 20 minutes before she removed her diaper, rolled it up and put it in the garbage. lol Need to get on the new potty thing.

Ciao for now...
