morning all. Dog, you go girl!!

HZ CHUTNEY Very easy - takes about 20mins from start to finish. If you don't like the raisins or cashew nuts, leave them out. It is fabulous with cheese.

Hello all.

Sorry for lack of posting, we have been rather germ filled in our household. I bore the full brunt of the bug, poor little DD just had a horribly upset stomach, and now DH suffered a bit with it last night but seems to have shaken it off already.

Hairclips am uploading some new ones shortly, will post a link for you to have a nose once done.

Chef oooooooooh, awaiting test results! :)

Dog Joss sounds incredibly settled. As for 3 days of bleeding, i bled about the same after Esme, i was incredibly horny about 2 days after Esme was born, but i was FAR to scared to do anything for a couple of weeks. I too absolutely hate condoms. I'm on the pill until we decide to start trying again.

missj Nope, don't think i'll be next pregnant, not planning to start trying for another year. How is your pregnancy coming along? You'll have to post a baby bump picture soon!!! I see (Excuse me for being SO out of touch!!) that you are still BF Nye, well done you, does he just still have it at bed time? Sounds awful, but i can't actually remember when i stopped feeding Esme, i think it was about a year, she was just bobbing on and off during her only feed which was bedtime, so one night after her story, just popped her down and didn't bother with the milk- was gob smacked she didn't even whimper, just confirmed my thoughts that she didn't need/want it anymore. She has a big cup of organic whole milk with her Tea now. Are you going to continue feeding Nye when DD arrives? Does he ever ask for boobie? Esme is Obsessed in trying to look down my top in public.... Trez embarssing! Blush

moose poor you, the sitcom continues, hopefully you've had your drama for this month and things will calm down a bit!

Tink You shop-aholic you, i'll never forget you going to the NEXT january sales when we were all heavily pregnant. you BRAVE woman! ;-)

120 Fingers crossed with your viewings, let us know if you have any feedback!! :)

Tea I'm sorry you missed the antenatal thread, but we were (mostly) a right bunch of misery guts in the final weeks! lol. Reading dogs early labour thread brought alot back! So fill me in on what i missed when i was AWOL from the thread, How many Bambinos do you have, etc? I have 1 DD Esme, almost 20 months. Stay at home mummy, DH and just got married this summer. Grin

Sorry for anyone else i've missed, and any other topics i've missed- there was LOTS to catch up on!!!

Lenni · 21/09/2010 11:25

Checking in as watching some bits I listed on eBay finish. Ebay is so wonderful sometimes, I just wish I could be bothered to list stuff. Am selling DS's Boden snowsuit from last year which I paid £28 for on offer and it is already up to £18 with 2 hours to go and loads of people watching. Am chuffed with that. Will only have cost me a tenner if they pay that is Grin Wink Am funding Christmas, have os much stuff to sell. We're keeping the big stuff like cot, pram etc. as I think there might be room for a third in a few years time but not keeping clothes etc. as will be mouse chewed and damp by then!

Sorry, have read all (esp Dog's sex life and Chef's testing) and not responded. On the run, wil be more normal next week.

Tea - conkers??? Confused Tell me more...

hackneyzoo · 21/09/2010 11:27

Thanks for the recipe 120, will check it out at home!

Chef, I have snuck on at work to see if you have tested.....come on!

Ray hope you're household is feeling better and the bug isn't keeping DH off the rugby pitch. Think its bug time of year.

Moose, how is the collective household today?

Tea, weekend sounds lovely, glad you had a good time you definitely deserve it!

Books, 24 weeks now, woo hoo. Am in the nice serene stage. How is everything now DCs are back at nursery?

Tree How you doing to day? Have you had a chance to catch up on rest.

lenni, your Granny's comments on facebook are ace. Do you reckon she'll be up for a tattoo this weekend?

Dog your J sounds very chilled, glad you are getting some rest. Now go and get some contraception, you are the thread record holder! Grin

If anyone has nice girls stuff for 3-4 (or to fit 102cm+), I am definitely on the lookout as DD has shot up this summer! More than happy to pay for bundles as I am far too lazy to go shopping myself! Just spent a lot of money on a second hand boden coat for her, but it's saved me £15 so I guess it's worth it. It is grey too so will do DS in a couple of years if she doesn't trash it!

teaandcakeplease · 21/09/2010 11:50

Apparently conkers in corners where Spiders are usually found and on windows sills keeps them at bay, as they do not like them.

Ray I have a 3 yr old DD and a 19 month old DS, lone parent as DH has found himself another woman Hmm We separated last October so almost a year now Shock He sees the DCs lots and we actually get on amicably despite divorce Smile Just need to reach a place of total freedom and forgiveness, as I'm still a bit Angry at the OW as I knew her for years before. Anyway onto happier subjects than my sad opld life Grin

Moose are you OK? How's the tribe today?

I was thinking that too Tea, my poor mum had to put up with my Dad's OW for 15 years. In the end she had enough and divorced him. The only thing you can take comfort from is that having done it once, he'll probably do it again so she'll get a taste of her own medicine eventually. Not great for the kids, but they are better off with a Mum who is struggling, but coping than one who is unhappy and distracted for years. Believe me, I know.

HKZ Thanks, we are pretty much germ free, am having a big clean (well not at this moment, but have been) while DD Asleep and DH at training, hopefully we'll see the back of the germs once they are thoroughly flushed away. oh & my DH is the one on the Football pitch, its another one of us with the rugby hubby.....Get so confused between MN names and Real names on FB, wont post her real name, forgotten which MNetter she is! Blush 24 weeks is a lovely stage, i remember being out the other side of the sickness, and just beginning to have a bump, although i'm sure second time round i'll have a bump MUCH earlier!

Tea Sorry to hear DH (if i'm right thats Darling Husband, so not sure why we are calling him that, he is more like Dick Head) had a wandering eye, but like 120 says, if he has done it once, highly likely he'll do it again. Sounds like him and OW deserve eachother, Angry Glad to hear he is still seeing the children though! You'll find yourself Mr. Right in the most unusual of places / Circumstances, just you wait, he'll be out there!

Lenni / Dog Good on you for listing on ebay, such a good idea, am going to hang onto Esme's bits, as knowing our luck we'll have a brood of girls.

Right, back to bleaching those germs away!

treedelivery · 21/09/2010 12:52

Hi all.

Lovely to read all the chat. What news of the testng Chef? Or is it 10.30 pm our time, or your time, or what time?

Tea - totally agree re the splt [fromt he kids point of view] better now than later or never. WHats best done is best done soonest. My mum was single with me, and I'm alright Smile We had loads of fun together, and I always felt sorry for kids with dads. They always seemed scary and grumpy HmmGrin Always always a positive. Team tea is a happy team Smile
And your time will come, time for you to enjoy adult life and have dates, and your own things going on. People are always telling me we are in teh hardest bit.

120 - all the clothes I have for that age are either worn out, or stashed for dd. Sorry!

Great news on the Boden suit Lenni, I remember you getting that, I was tres Envy Grin

Have a playdate this afternoon, I'm always nervous. Hope house doesn't look dirty, and I hope dd's toys don't seem crap Sad Might try put H-bomb down and set up a play vets or something, in the playhouse.

Hello to all I missed. I'm ok, just bit ground down. 7 months back at work, talk of Christmas off duty, worry of missing Christmas fayre, all that stuff. Worries of dd1, her constipation and friendships. Worries about dh, so tired, sex deprived [dog knicked my libido, I saw her do it], no laughing to be had really, worried about his access course, still not properly underway - he'll miss Sept 2011 for uni at this rate, which means even higher course fee's as they are only going one way......oh the list goes on and is tedious.

Attemoting to transfer dd2 to her cot. If you see the mushroom shaped cloud over the north sea you know she was not amused.

She ate a strawberry today Smile

teaandcakeplease · 21/09/2010 12:56

Or he will 120, as she cheated on her own boyfriend to begin the affair and being a 21 yr old student, I suspect once she's working she may get fed up with him, as he's still unemployed since he lost his job last November. I do hope one day he'll look back and realise what a wally he was and what he forfeited just for a bit of skirt. I'm not sure I do want anyone else, all the relationship topics on here make me glad I'm alone now. This little flat is my own domain and I enjoy being alone with the DCs now. I do joke about meeting someone, but when I start thinking too much I'm not sure I do want someone at all iyswim? I'm very content now and the DCs and I are one little happy family here alone and H coming by from time to time.

Open University course is going well but I'm a little behind from too much time on mumsnet Blush

Need to go and collect DD from pre school and wake DS as he's still napping. Be back later x

OP posts:
teaandcakeplease · 21/09/2010 13:54

or she* will

I meant Blush

After lunch dozing feeling here.

hackneyzoo · 21/09/2010 13:58

120 There is a shop on the street next to my house that sells second hand stuff for under 5s. You can sell your own stuff there too, will show you next time you are round our way, think its called Merry Go Round. Is very good for toys and children's books too. Managed to get DD some BN kicker boots for £2.50 in there once, which was a bit of a bargain.

Lenni and Dog, am with you on the ebaying, I just got rid of a load of surplus baby stuff and was Shock at how much people were willing to pay for certain things! Am looking forward to finally being able to shift some stuff once DC3 is born, as am holding onto everything at the mo until I know the sex.

Ray sorry for mix up, I knew someone had a football DH and someone had a rugby one and have completely lost track of FB!Blush

Tree, gah, you have a lot going on at the moment. I sthere a hold up with DH's course starting? Its horrible waiting for big things to get underway when you just want to get on with them. You need a set of worry dolls I love these, I've given them to some of my students in the past! Good if you get xmas off though. It sucks having to miss kid's stuff cos of work, I hated not being able to take DD off to her first day at nursery.

Books, hope DD has had a good day at the childminder's. Didn't she love the trial run?

Tea, you sound very strong and together. I hope your H realises what a fool he is. If you are content then your DCs will be content too...and who knows what the future holds...

chef test

Awww, thought I was getting magic cyber cookies then Grin

Course has just been tedious. It's a distance one, so it's not as if you can storm in and preoduce all that is needed and crack on. We had the uni people confirm it is a valid entry route though, not a fly by night lot of silliness.
We now await a tutor to be assingned. Which is a shmae as the first task is to demonstrate copy and paste and write 500 words on why he wants to do the course. As he can build and write programmes for computers he should be grand Grin

SO yes, just inertia. My concern is that we need to rocket through, he needs a substantial amount of evidence to take to interview, and for the UCAS form too. How is this done when he works 50hrs a week and we have the H bomb?

Right, have woken the bomvb, we are getting ready for PTA then school pck up. Days fly!

Thanks books, rest assured I will be begging for many tips in the not too distant future. Grin Especially on the UCAS form Shock Scary stuff.

Afternoon, just sticking my head around the door before I go to fetch ds2. Wanted to see if Chef had tested yet.

Just quickly read through and retained nothing again.

Dd has a full arm fibre-glass cast this time. Was very proud of her at the hospital, just a couple of whimpers and sat still good as gold to have her cast on. The people that did it were lovely and said children of dd's age usually fight, kick, scream and occasionally bite! Shock They thought she was an absolute angel. [proud Mummy emoticon]

The dog is going in for her operation tomorrow morning, but dh is taking her so hopefully nothing medical for me to do/attend tomorrow.

Ds1 is full of beans and driving me up the wall, so back to school for him tomorrow as well.

Dsis ended up with 4 separate consultants look at her xrays for 2nd, 3rd and 4th opinions and in the end they decided it was definitely broken. She has hip problems that meant she couldn't have a heavy cast, so she has a short back-slab cast instead. She's coming home to Mum's tonight to be looked after, as her partner is going to be away on business. I'm really looking forward to seeing her as its been a looong time - so every cloud and all that. She has been horrendously overworked, needed a break and want's to leave but had no time to fill in application forms, so perhaps the universe decided to orchestrate a bit of free time for her - who knows?

Think I will have a pottering day tomorrow and do some baking - I feel the need to bake. Although thinking about it we are probably very short on ingredients at the moment.

Hi to all, will try and find time to come back and read all properly later tonight.

teaandcakeplease · 21/09/2010 15:20

When I click on my "i'm on" list right now the search result comes up as:

$searchtype.size() discussions have messages

Any ideas ladies on what's going on? I had to go into topics and then post natal clubs and then select our thread instead Hmm

Going to catch up on everything in a mo.
