Bookmarking... been in and out all day reading. But I must say, I think I just ate too many medjool dates. So good but heavy on the stomach. Weird craving tonight.

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 27/10/2010 09:55

morning

cheers guys about car it is Biscuit and [grr]

dh out today looking @ cars

insurance has a £150 excess

hi mm - dd2 's speech is coming along alot better than dd1's most of the things u say she repeats she can say -

raspberries,bubbles,hands, etc

understands alot too

terrordelivery · 27/10/2010 20:29

Evening [hsmile]

Bummer about the car and excess Tink. It's all such an arse isn't it.

Ray - good luck with the MIL.
Moose - wow at dd's speech. Really really good, you must be enjoying her lots [hsmile]. DD2 is just like dd1 was, few words but tonnes of understanding. I predict an explosion of words at about 2-2.5. DD1 was the same, just a few words then full conversations overnight.

Dog - how goes it. Dairy free. It was a cure for us, I wish I'd done it sooner. It sucks though.

MissJ - you must be wiped out. It's full throttle for you at the mo but it will be soooo worth it.

Here we are havinhg a nice time. Went to a really right on 'free dance' session today and yesterday. Basically the instructor had a full on techno out dance groove, while the kids flitted about trying to find their inner planets. I sat at back pissing myself. t was good though, not geared up for display or looking pretty, or passing an exam or in anyway doing anything. Which is a nice change as so many girl activities around here are givng out the message that f you don't get ont he x-factor you have pretty much failed. [hangry]

Have lots of idea for a dress for dd Moose. Will get thinking and return with links. I do love a bit of fantasy shopping.

Hello tea, how is half term for you?

terrordelivery · 27/10/2010 20:43

You said you had seen a smocked one you like, well cath kidston have got is going on with the whole traditional dress thing. And 25% off. Yee har! We have one in this style and it looks lovely with a little cardigan, tights and shiny shoes. Fab! There is a dress for about £18 which is so cheap for CK isn't it.

Some of the most lovely clothes ever Look at the bridesmaid dresses. They make me ache they are so pretty. Have my eye on all of them a couple for when dd1 makes her first communion.

Teaandcakeplease · 27/10/2010 20:44

Half term - meh! Trying to keep busy but truthfully I like having DD in Pre School 4 mornings a week. Having 2 toddlers 17 months apart is hard work when they're both at home all day. So trying to see people and get out lots.

chefswife · 27/10/2010 20:49

I hope DD starts using her proper english words because I just can't get around her language right now... she has words that are not words but gets frustrated with me when I don't know what the fuck she's talking about. Wink She understands everything though. And her hearing is impeccable, so its not because she can't hear the words right. I repeat and repeat and get nothing. She just stares at you like "Why are you speaking to me like I'm an idiot?" Kinda like the joke where someone talks louder thinking the other with little english can understand better if you yell the exact same words they didn't understand.

terrordelivery · 27/10/2010 20:54

I know exactly what you mean chef. DD2 has 'Ollies' for eggs and olives, and God help you if you don't get them quickly. Also 'ig-ig', which is 'put the tv on'. Obviously.

Tea - I'd need sedating in all honesty. Hope it flies by for you. At least the weather was more cheerful today. It was too warm for coats where we are.

Dd1 tried this on once. Also this Made us all want to sell all we had to fund them. Sigh. Must walk away from that website.
Agree about Zara. We haven't got one, but I got dd's birthday outfit online and was really happy with it. They are slim, long fitting clothes too, which suits my girrafe of a child.

Had really full on night shifts. 2 crash sections under GA - which you can go a year without seeing 1!! Also shoulder dystocia and sbcu admissions and all sorts of other stuff. Am still totally jiggered after them. Lots of stuff to worry about but trying not too. Must get better at leaving it all there and not fretting.

Teaandcakeplease · 27/10/2010 21:33

Sedation.. now there's a thought Wink

Tree Terror - wow I'd find it hard not worry too when home. You sound like such a caring midwife.

DOG - I used to think like that with my DS as he was so unhappy, so much. Really hope they prescribe him something that works for him asap. Big ((hugs)) lovely x

Off to bed - too many nights of cough, cough cough, sniff etc from my 2 DCs this week and being up and down for one or other of them. Feel like a Jack in the box quite frankly

moosemama · 27/10/2010 22:16

Tree, I knew you'd be up for the challenge! Wink Oh those dresses - you bad, bad lady. Some of them are so beautiful, I bet your dd looked stunning in them. Sadly we do not have the funds at the moment. (Despite desperately trying to win either the lottery or thunderball with a series of numbers I dreamt about last weekend. Hmm)

I am sooo peeved. I lost a lovely M&S Autograph dress to an ebay sniper last night - lost by 10p, which somehow made it worse, as if I had realised there was another bidder I would have been happy to go a lot higher for this particular dress. Angry I was busy looking at co-ordinating shoes, then dh spoke to me and pouffe, it was gone. Twas all dh's fault of course Wink Grin.

I am watching a couple of Sarah Louise dresses at the moment, but don't really want to go pretty pink and am seriously worried about white. Still, they are lovely and it will be for special occasions only. I also have my eye on one lovely Monsoon layer dress. I seem to have lost the knack of ebaying though - perhaps I should sign up for a sniper myself (although it really goes against the grain for me). Anyone know who, how or what I have to do?

As an alternative, I would love some sort of beautiful angel-top/blouse and trousers for the photo shoot. Have put a watch on a couple of Monsoon numbers and will see how it goes.

Sounds like that was the shift from hell you had this weekend. I must remember when you are on shift and send my 'easy shift' vibes to you. Wink Hope you get plenty of time to relax, recover and smile this week.

Tea, we are in half-term hell here as well at the moment. With everyone being ill one after the other, we seem to be permanently stuck in the house with the boys either bouncing off each other or the walls. [type]

Dog I am sorry to hear about poor little J. Have you got a cot wedge? Dd still sleeps on hers and hates to be flat. She had silent reflux and it definitely helped at night, but with J's reflux being so much worse, I don't know how much difference it would make for him. Sounds like the GP is on the case, which is good. From what I hear so many of them fail to take reflux seriously enough and keep telling parents its colic and they'll grow out of it. My heart goes out to the little fella. Hope they cope up with a treatment plan for him really soon so he (and you) can get some relief. ((hugs))

Been at my sisters house for her birthday today. My 10 month old great nephew fell asleep on my knee and he weighs an absolute tonne. He's as tall as dd and twice as wide bless him. Grin I thought dd would be jealous, she did want to sit next to us, but didn't seem jealous at all. She just kept pointing and saying "baby Mummy, look baby on Mummy, baby sleeping, ahh". Twas very cute indeed. Smile

Hi Books, missed you last night. Meant to say, thanks for the text. Kept meaning to reply, but then time moved on and I thought I'd probably left it too late. I wasn't ignoring you, things were just crazy madness round here at the time. Smile

terrordelivery · 27/10/2010 22:30

How big is she Moose? I know bet I have -100's a few you could have a look at [hsmile]. Don't have a Sarah Louise but might have a something. Certainly have a pale pink Monsoon affair, which although pink is so pale and has a pattern so you might like. I'm off to look now.

Missed your post. Poor lttle fella Dog. Press and press for the ranitidine or similar - it really is good and why the hell not. We all know how crappy gaviscon is in pregnancy, where as a tab of zantac sorts it no problem.

moosemama · 27/10/2010 22:51

She is just going into 12-18 months, but I find the designer stuff sometimes comes up smaller, so probably more 18m than 12 for some of those.

Lovely of you to offer. Let me know if there's any you would like to sell on - I love everything I've seen your girls wear - but wouldn't anything that fits dd also fit H? Surely you'll want to keep all the luvverly stuff for her to wear?

terrordelivery · 27/10/2010 22:58

Ha, good timing Moose. I have just come out from under the bed [hgrin] There are some clothes stashed under there.

I have a Sarah Louise white dress in 12m actually, and some others. I'll message you when I have a proper stash list. These are things H has grown out of or simply won't wear due to sheer volume [hgrin] Many are a bit 'summer' but I am of the mind that a pair of tights and a cardi makes anything ok.

Off to bed. H just got up in a seriously bad mood so dh is settling her. She is 1/4 of way through her 4th night in a big bed in a room other than mine. Hurrah!

chefswife · 28/10/2010 03:08

Dog Hope J gets some reprieve from the reflux with new medication to take. I couldn't even imagine how uncomfortable it is for them let alone how draining for moms.

Terror Don't envy your job, not including the shift work.

Don't know what I was thinking tonight... I got overly zealous in grocery shopping, costume shopping and swimming, traveling during rush hour and then getting home at 6 to cook dinner. What was I thinking, [hconfused]... clearly I wasn't but both DD and I are completely full of pasta and officially sleepy. Better get her into the tub before its too late.

chefswife · 28/10/2010 03:09

Guess there's no halloween confused emoticon. [hhmm]

Hi Books, just a quickie to say that we have just got back from Cadbury world and it was excellent!

DD LOVED all of it, even the historical bits that I thought she would think boring she was intrigued. She loved the interactive bits and I liked the bit with all the old adverts! DS was happy as we went in about 9.10am and he started on his first pack of buttons[hblush].
He LOVED the little ride thing and i was surprised actually that it was quite quiet this morning, as we were leaving to go to the pub though it was HEAVING!

Halloween crafts sound great, we are doing that on saturday, had no time this week its been manic! We went to Gloucester Waterways Museum on monday and that was fab too, £10 for a family, including a 45min boat ride...fantastic!

Oh, and DH has to have NO SURGERY!! Whoop-whoop!! Small improvements each week means that the onsultant has signed him up for 6mths of physio instead. He has warned it may not work but we are relieved for now.

Hey to everyone else.

MissJ- hope packing going well

Ray- enjoy Sussex

Dog- hope all ok with J, good news about your friend sounds great, I was hoping you would here something good, thats amazing!

Tree and Moose- Really naughty with all those lovely dresses, luckily they wouldn't suit DS [hgrin]

Back later to catch up with everyone else, when I have come down from all the chocolate.......[hwink]

Teaandcakeplease · 28/10/2010 16:23

Oh Pat that is great news about your H Smile Smile Smile

Cadbury World sounds fab as does the Waterways museum. I'll have to camp down that way when the weather warms again I think.

Ray - enjoy your weekend Smile
